Abstract: The article informs about a study based on the use of tumescent local anaesthesia (TLA) in ablative laser therapy. It mentions that pharmacokinetic principles are used for the safety of tumescent technique. It includes that volumetric infusion pump with adjustable flow rate and volume restriction was employed in the study. According to the study, TLA is a safe and effective anaesthetic method for ablative laser therapies with the Erbium: Yttrium Aluminum Garnet (YAG) laser.
