After Tanzimat, there was a variation among Christians in Kütahya as in many parts of Ottoman Empire. In this city which Greeks, Armenians, Catholics, and Protestants lived there, each religious group has created its own institutional structures in the light of regulations. In this study that new settlements brought by the process of variation were examined, the social and religious positions of Christians in Kütahya were primarily discussed. The centers of Metropolitan and Bishoprics affiliated with Christians in Kütahya were clarified in the historical process. In addition to, the religious and intuitional problems they have were handled. These problems were scrutinized by comparing the counties of Kütahya and Ottoman Empire. Another issue discussed here is refugees and Christian leaders exiled to Kütahya. Especially, the exile of Bishop Hilaryon who had an important role in the establishment of the Bulgarian Church was examined in detail. The situations of Christians in Kütahya which were studied in the light of Prime Ministry Ottoman Archives documents and Hüdavendigar Vilayeti Salnameleri were analysed by being compared with Christians lived in other regions of Ottoman Empire. In this sense, the religious expressions and comments that Christian clergy reported to Ottoman Empire have included important details involving History of Religions and Phenomenology of Religion. Ahteri Muslihittin Efendi born in Afyonkarahisar and made lectures in Kütahya was one of the most important scholars in the 16 century. He contributed many important works to the world of science like Camiil 'l-Mesâil, Muhadarat, Tarih-i Ahterî, Şerh ale 'r-Risaleti 'l-Kefevifi 'l-Edeb. He is known with the name Ahterî because of he wrote a dictionary named Ahterî. Ahterî-i Kebîr written in Kütahya is a dictionary from Arabic to Turkish passed from hand to hand among the students in the Madrasahs and other scientists for years in the Turkish-Islamic world. In the dictionary, there are many kind information such as words that reflect the social and cultural characteristics of daily life together with local dialect, cities and as well as from the origin of their names to small tribes. One of the issues mentioned in the dictionary is concepts of religion and belief systems. We have been mostly focusing on Judaism and Christianity religions and their belief systems in this dictionary which can be handled multifunctional. We used the copy printed in the printed house named Âmire in Hijri 1310 in Istanbul from among a lot of copies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
