Abstract

The article presents information on types and functions of sensors that are used in machine tools and robots. In the operation phase, sensors, measure kinematic value, monitor the production systems and provide diagnostic functions. Whereas in the set up phase, they are used to adjust the accuracy of the systems. Working of the sensors is also discussed.
