Önal, Recep (Balıkesir Author), The aim of this study is to determine the criticism to Mushabbiha and Mujassima on the basis of al-Fasl fi l-milal wa-l-ahwa' wa-l-nihal whose writer is Ibn Hazm (d. 456/1064), one of the eminent scholars of the Andalusian civilization. In this work, Ibn Hazm gives systematic information about the non-Islamic religions as well as the sects emerging under the Islamic roof, criticizing the views of religion and religious sects from various perspectives. In doing so, he approached the views of the sects with his identity as a kalam theologian, and he made his critics in the light of classical conception of the Ahl al-Sunnah. Ibn Hazm pointed out that Mushbbiha and Mujassima had an anthropomorphic understanding of God, and emphasized that this understanding does not correspond with the belief in monotheism. He strongly emphasizes that God is one and nothing is equal to Him.

Mâtürîdî, tarihte çeşitli din, inanç, ideoloji, kültür ve medeniyetlere beşik vazifesi gören Maveraünnehir bölgesinde yaşamıştır. Onun yaşadığı dönem, İslâm dünyasında pek çok gelişme ve değişimlerin yaşandığı, değişik dinî, itikadî, felsefî, siyasî akımların peş peşe türediği, diğer din ve kültür mensuplarıyla ilişkilerin yoğunlaştığı, İslâm'ın temel esaslarına içeriden ve dışarıdan meydan okumaların arttığı bir dönemdir. Böyle bir dönemde yetişen Mâtürîdî, eserlerinde İslam inancına karşı çıkan inkârcı dinî ve felsefî akımların görüş ve iddialarını inceleyerek rasyonel bir tutumla çürütmeye çalışmıştır. Ayrıca, İslam'a yönelik bu fikrî saldırılara karşı büyük mücadele vererek İslam inanç esaslarının yerleşip sistemleştirilmesine ve yayılmasına önemli katkılar sağlamıştır.Bu makalede,Mâtürîdî'nin hayatı ve eserleri hakkında bilgi verildikten sonra,kelam ilmindeki yeri tespit edilmemeye çalışılacaktır., Imam Maturidi lived in Transoxiana (Maveraunnehir) where history of various religions, beliefs, ideology, which acts as a cradle of culture and civilization. In addition, these intellectual attacks on Islam by great struggle against the spread of the Islamic faith, and made significant contributions to the principles of systematization settle.In this article, after giving information about the life and works of Imam Maturidi, studied theology role and importance of being detected.
