The pseudoscorpion genus Megachernes is recorded for the first time in Iran. Adults and protonymphs of Megachernes pavlovskyi Redikorzev, 1949 were found in a porcupine nest and under stones in the Deh Sheikh (Pataveh) cave, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Southwest Iran. A short description of the species is provided, based on the main morphological and morphometric characters of the adults.

The first cave-dwelling terrestrial isopod species of the genus Agnara Budde-Lund, 1908 is described from Zarneh Cave, western Iran. Agnara cavernicola Bakhshi and Kashani, sp. nov. is characterised by a reduced number of ommatidia and body pigments. Records of the genus Niphargus are quite new in Iran. Recent investigations of subterranean cave-dwelling fauna revealed a diversity of new taxa, including several new niphargid species. All of these new findings have been recorded from the north and north-west of the country, in Alborz and Northern Zagros regions. This paper describes a cave species from the Central Zagros, the southernmost range border of the genus Niphargus. A full morphological description of the species, as well as a brief note on the ecology of the cave, is presented, along with a detailed comparison to morphologically related or geographically close species. The most distinctive characters of this species are its long and slender pereopod III–VII, no spine on the dorsal surface of the telson, and the short second article of the uropod III exopodite. Background: The best-known dangerous spiders belong to the six genera. The genus Loxosceles or violin spiders are well known for their ability to cause skin necrosis or loxoscelism. All Loxosceles species have medical im- portance due to their necrotizing venom. The present article reports the occurrence of L. rufescens in Charkhab Cave, south of Iran (Larestan). Methods: The specimens were collected from the Charkhab Cave using handling forceps, paintbrush and aspirator and preserved in 96% ethanol. Results: Loxosceles rufescens, a medically important spider, is recorded from Charkhab Cave in Fars Province (southwest of Iran). Identification of L. rufescens was performed based on external morphology and the features of male genitalia. Conclusion: Presence of L. rufescens in south of Iran especially in a cave confirmed that this species is a widely distributed species in Iran. Hymenoptera (Arthropoda: Insecta) may occur in caves to pass overwintering phase of their life cycle. Here, Exephanes tauricus Hinz, 2000 (Ichneumonidae) which is a new record to Iranian fauna, is presented as the first record of this family with overwintering in a cave (Barezard cave, Ilam province, west of Iran).
