Abstract

A NUMBER of authors have used paper and freely moving boundary electrophoresis for investigating proteins of gastric juice. We have tried to add to the results obtained by these methods by using electrophoresis in agar1 and immuno-electrophoresis2. With these methods, especially in the case of immuno-electrophoresis, we found that there exists a fundamental difference in the behaviour of acid and anacid gastric juices.
