The research arises in the area of language and reading, where students have low understanding in critical reading, the project contributed to improve academic performance, results that were reflected in problem solving, understanding and content development. The objective was "Design and implement an edublog using ICT, as an educational strategy to strengthen the habit and understanding of critical reading to 8th grade students" and improve the level of performance in critical comprehension and textual production. The research was worked with a qualitative approach of descriptive type and focused on the action-research participation, based on a historical percentage results since 2015 of the "Knowledge" tests. The application of edublog was favorable, strengthened critical reading skills, improved reading comprehension and worked transversally with other subjects. Which also had a better performance in students compared to reading, understanding that it is the fundamental basis in any of the areas of knowledge. The development of gender activities in them motivation and enthusiasm, and this was reflected in the classroom, are more participatory and generate valid arguments fluently with better structure in relation to the critical reading process.
