The article focuses on the implications of the popularity of ancillary facilities for conference centers in the U.S. According to the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), conference centers are more suitable site to conduct meetings than hotels. Burt Cabañas, chairman and chief operating officer of the Woodlands hotel, said that he has no plans to abandon the conference center concept. It notes that conference center owners and managers should distinguish their facilities from hotels.
