The article presents a case study of a 56-year-old patient who was diagnosed with pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) and underwent surgical cytoreduction of all intra-abdominal and pelvic disease and intraperitoneal heated chemotherapy (IPHC). A tag team care model was used to the patient with the following goals including establishing effective communication, maintaining skin integrity, and avoiding systemic infections. The benefits of the said care approach are also mentioned.
