Bu çalışmanın amacı, işletme tarihi çalışmalarında iktisadi, politik, sosyal ve yasal bağlamın nasıl dikkate alınabileceğine ilişkin bir tartışma ortaya koymaktır. Tartışmanın başarılı olabilmesi için çalışma konuya üç aşamalı bir şekilde yaklaşmaktadır. Birinci aşamada işletme tarihi araştırmalarına mikro ve makro yaklaşımın çerçevesi ortaya konulmaktadır. İkinci aşamada, makro yaklaşım çerçevesinde örnek araştırmalar seçilerek bu araştırmaların genel özellikleri değerlendirilmiştir. Son aşama olarak da ileride yürütülecek Türkiye’deki işletme tarihi çalışmalarına ilişkin öneriler ortaya konmuştur., The aim of the study is to start a conversation on how economic, political, social and legal contexts can be considered in business history research. In order to be successful in this discussion, the study is build on three distinct steps. First, a framework of micro and macro approaches to business history research is presented. In second step, examples of studies are selected within the macro approach and general features of these studies are discussed. In final step, suggestions for business history research that could be carried out in Turkey are offered within this general framework.
