After the Gallipoli War, Great Britain established a commission by the parliament on 12 August 1916 to investigate the cause, planning and why it was defeated in the war, based on the combined authority of the law, the king and the parliament. The Dardanelles Commission, consisting of ten people, published three reports. The first of these reports was named as Dardanelles Commission First Report and included the origin and beginning of the Dardanelles War and the Dardanelles Naval Wars. The second report was prepared as the First Report to Supplement, which is complementary to the first report. The third report, called The Final Report of the Dardanelles Commission, covered the Gallipoli landing, land wars, evacuation of Gallipoli, supply issues and the general results consisting of sixteen items during the execution of the operations. The first report and the supplementary report were published in 1917, and the final report in 1919. In the final report, a summary of sixteen items was presented under the general conclusions heading, including the other two reports. The study examines sixteen items in the general conclusions section of the final report. The aim of the study is to evaluate the issues related to the sixteen-point general conclusions published in the final report of the commission established to investigate the reasons for the defeat of the Allied Powers in the Gallipoli Campaign, by making use of domestic and foreign sources in the literature., Çanakkale Savaşları sonrası Büyük Britanya, yasa, kral ve parlamentonun birleşik yetkisine dayanarak Çanakkale Savaşı’nın nedenini, planlamasını ve savaşta neden mağlup olduğunu araştırmak üzere 12 Ağustos 1916’da için parlamento tarafından bir komisyon kurmuştur. On kişiden oluşan Çanakkale Komisyonu, üç rapor halinde yayınlamıştır. Bu raporların ilki Çanakkale Komisyonu Birinci Raporu olarak isimlendirilmiş ve Çanakkale Savaşı’nın kökeni, başlangıcı ve işleyişini ele alan Çanakkale Deniz Savaşları’na yer vermiştir. İkinci rapor ise birinci raporun tamamlayıcısı olan Ek Rapor olarak hazırlanmıştır. Nihai Rapor olarak isimlendirilen üçüncü rapor ise operasyonların yürütülmesi süreci içerisinde Çanakkale çıkarması, kara savaşları, Çanakkale’nin boşaltılması, tedarik konuları ve on altı maddeden oluşan genel sonuçları kapsamıştır. İlk rapor ve ilk rapora ek rapor 1917’de, nihai rapor 1919’da yayınlamıştır. Nihai raporda, genel sonuçlar başlığı altında diğer iki raporu da kapsayan on altı maddeden oluşan bir özet sunulmuştur. Çalışma, nihai raporun genel sonuçlar kısmında yer alan on altı maddeyi incelemektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, Çanakkale Savaşı’ndan sonra Müttefik Devletlerin Çanakkale Savaşı’nda mağlup olma gerekçelerini araştırmak için kurulan komisyonun nihai raporunda yayımlanan on altı maddelik genel sonuçlarıyla ilgili konuları, literatürde yer alan yerli ve yabancı kaynaklardan faydalanarak değerlendirmektir.

I.Dünya Savaşı'nın sonucunda bazı imparatorluklar dağılırken, birçok ulusal devlet ortaya çıkmıştır. Dağılan imparatorluklardan ortaya çıkan siyasi ve sosyal yapılar; devlet hüviyeti kazanırken, bu süreci tamamlamış bazı devletlerde ulus olma şuuru edinmiştir. Bu bakımdan I.Dünya Savaşı'nın tarihi seyrini değiştiren Çanakkale Savaşı'nda birçok devletin siyasi yapısı değişmiş ve sonuçları itibariyle devletlerin yapısal karakterinde yeni bir oluşum süreci başlamıştır. Avustralya tarihinde Çanakkale Savaşı ve sonuçları, Avustralya'nın ulus olma sürecinde ve ulusal kimliğinin biçimlenmesinde özel bir öneme sahiptir. Bu öneminden dolayı, Avustralya ulus bilincinin oluşmasında Çanakkale Savaşı'nın rolü, tezin ana teması olarak belirlenmiştir. Tez kapsamında ilk olarak, Avrupalı kâşiflerin Avustralya Kıtasını keşfi ve Büyük Britanya İmparatorluğu'nun Avustralya'yı kolonize etmesi tarihsel süreçte ele alınmıştır. Sonrasında Avustralya eyaletlerinin birleşerek federasyon tipi devletleşme süreci, siyasi ve toplumsal açıdan değerlendirilmiştir. Ayrıca Avustralya jeopolitiğinin; Avustralya'nın idari, askerî, politik ve kültürel yapısına etkisi, uluslararası ilişkiler açısından incelenmiştir. Bununla birlikte büyük güçlerin, I.Dünya Savaşı'na giden süreci nasıl hazırladıkları küresel panoramada değerlendirilirken, baskın Büyük Britanya etkisinde Avustralya'nın Çanakkale Savaşı'na girişi ve sonuçlarına dikkat çekilmiştir. Son olarak Avustralya milli kimliğinin ve bilincinin oluşmasında; düşünsel altyapı, ulusal sembol ve milli şahsiyetler Anzak terminolojisi kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Avustralya'nın günümüze kadar uluslaşma süreci, Gelibolu Savaşı'nın rolü bağlamında analiz edilirken, bu kapsamda Avustralya ulus bilincinin Çanakkale Savaşı'yla oluştuğuna vurgu yapılmıştır. Political and social structures that emerged from disintegrated empires; were earned the state identity and some states that have completed this process has acquired the consciousness of being nation. In this context, at Gallipoli War that changed the course of World War 1, many states political structure were changed and because of it's results new process has started at the structural character of states. At the Australian history Gallipoli War and its results have special importance. It effects Australia in process of becoming a nation and in the formation of national identity. Because of this importance, the role of Gallipoli War in the formation of the consciousness of the Ausralian nation, is identified as the main theme of the thesis.Firstly, in the scope of the thesis, the discovered of the continent of Australia by the European explorers and colonization of Australia by The British Empire are adressed in the historical process. Afterwards, the process of becoming federation type of state of the unification of Australian states was evaluated in terms of political and social. Moreover how Australia geopology effects on Australia's administrative, military, political and cultural structure were explored in the context of international relations. Besides how great powers prepared the World War 1 were evaluated in the global panaroma and draw attention to Australia's entry into the war, Gallipoli, under the influence of the dominant Great Britain and it's consequences. Finally, in the formation of Australian national identity and consciousness; intellectual infrastructure, national symbols and national figures were discused within the context of the Anzac terminology. The present Australian nation-building process were analysed in the context of the role of the Gallipoli War and in this context the consiousness of the Australian nation occured with the end of the war in Gallipoli, was emhasized.Key Words: Gallipoli War, Australia, Anzac, Nation Consciousness. 312

Bu sebeptendolayı küresellesmenin farklı yansımalarını gözlemlemek amacıyla çesitli sosyalalanlara yansımalarını inceledim ve bunların sonuçlarını tezim çerçevesinde elealdım.Küresellesme olgusu, dünyada çok önemli bir degisim sürecinin sistemlestiginin birgöstergesi olarak, yapılanmasını iktisadi, siyasi, sosyal, teknolojik vb. alanlarda hızlıbir sekilde kurumsallastırmakta ve bu konular arasında yogunluk kazanan dinamiksunumunu dünya toplumlarına kendi öngördügü sistem ve metotlarıyla uygulamaalanı olusturmaktadır. Günümüz teknolojik, bilimsel, kültürel, ekonomik vb.gelismelerden uzak durulamayacagı açıkken, küresellesme gibi bir olgudan daTürkiye'nin etkilenmemesi imkansızdır. Küresellesme sürecinde olan Türkiye'de,Atatürkçü Düsüncenin bu süreç içerisinde nasıl bir konum belirledigini veçagdaslasmayı öneren-önceleyen Atatürkçü Düsüncenin de bu gerçekten uzakkalamayacagını takdir edersiniz. Ne var ki, küresellesme sürecini yasarken millidegerlerin korunmasını öngören Atatürkçü Düsünce Sisteminin, kendidinamiklerinden güç alan bir anlayıs gelistirdigini düsünmekteyim; çünkü AtatürkçüDüsünce Sistemi, çagını asan durmadan kendini yenileyen bir ögreti, kılavuz veyoldur. Aksi düsünüldügünde, anlasılamadıgında, yorumlanamadıgında bu sürecinAtatürkçü Düsünce Sistemini asındıracagı ve kavramları yıpratacagı endisesinitasımaktayım. Atatürkçü Düsünce Sistemi, bugün anlatıla gelen ve alternatifiolmayan bir karsı konulmaz güç gibi sunulan degerlere, antitez oldugu gerçegindenyola çıkarak Atatürk'ün gösterdigi, çizdigi yol ısıgında tahliller yaptım.Türk ve Dünya literatüründe küresellesme ve Atatürkçülük üzerine yazılmıs,ulasabildigim pek çok kaynak tarandıktan sonra bu kaynakların tasnifi yapılmaksuretiyle degerlendirmeye aldım.Tez çalısmamın sonunda ekler adı altında olusan bir bölüme yer vermek suretiylekarsılastırmaya dayanan (Harita,çizelge vb.) bir görsellik saglamayı amaçladım.Tez çalısması içerisinde isimlere göre hazırlamıs olan bir indekse yer verilmistir. Budurum ise; diger arastırmacıların ögrenmek istedikleri bilgiye daha kısa bir zamandave saglıklı bir biçimde ulasabilme imkanı saglayacaktır.Sonuç olarak; küresel idealizmin getirdigi yeniliklere açık bir toplum olan Türkiye,özde insanoglunun yararına olan tüm güzellikleri bütünleyici bir yapı ihtiva eder;ancak bu gelismelerin Türk milli devletini, kimligini ve degerlerini yıpratıcı birparadoks içerdiginde kendi iç dinamiklerinden alan gücüyle savunmamekanizmalarını gelistirdigi/gelistirecegi kanaatindeyim. Because of the effects ofglobalisation, I researched different social areas, to established the effects, I used formy thesis.Alone with this globalsation period came some very important changes in economic,political, social, electronic, etc areas within these subjects dynamics offered peopleof the world, it's system and methods as it sees fit.It is very clear to see clear that, in todays world technology, scientific, cultural,economic, ect is advancing greatly, therefore it is impossible for Turkey to stayaway from this. Turkey is within this globalsation system and therefore youapperciate that Ataturk's concepts and ideas can not ignore this fact. However,Ataturk's concepts and ideas suggest that during this globalsation period, Turkey toprotect it's national values, I think Ataturk's concept system takes it's power withinitself. Because Ataturk's concept system renews itself countinually and always isused as a way of teaching and guidence. If Ataturk's concepts and ideas systems notunderstood or are against them, I am worried that this will damage the system.Today there are some values that seem to be no alternative for or you can not goagainst. Therefore, I took Ataturk's concept systems as an anti-thesis, and in thisrespect analysed trough Ataturk's vision and guidence, I made some analysis.In Turkish and world literature, there are many sources written about globalisationand Ataturk's concepts and after researching all of these sources, I put them intoorder and made and assessment.At the end of thesis , there is an attachment section of maps and drawings to give avisual perspective of my work. Within this thesis study, there is an index accoringthe names, the reason for this index is to enable other researchers using this source tofind information much faster.I belive, as result Turkey's openess to global idealsm and all improvements of apositive nature towards mankind is wellcomed however, if this idealism becomesdamaging in anyway shape of form towards the Turkish state, it's identification or it'svalues, Turkey will then within it's own dynamics kick off or develope defencemechanizsm. 266
