The Diploma Thesis "Research of nursing in the context of historical development" has a theoretical character. Its aim is to analyze the historical development of nursing research as an essential part of the nursing profession. The work is adapted as a historical - analytical study of available sources and documents with subsequent interpretation of texts through the method of textual hermeneutics. To achieve this goal, it was necessary to set two research questions: What period events influenced nursing research in the historical context? What development has nursing research seen from a historical perspective? The work is divided into five chapters entitled From Prehistory to the Modern Age, Florence Nightingale Period, Interwar and War Periods in the Context of Nursing Research, Postwar Periods and Nursing Research, Nursing Research Today. Among crucial events that influenced the development of research in nursing there are Human evolution (script), the influence of religion, wars, Theresian and Josephine reforms and the emancipation movement as well as the formation of education institution (universities), organizations and development of publications. At least but not last there are other important influences such as established political and economic reforms, Bolton's law, the Kellog program, the Advisory Committee's report, the possibility of travel (internships), the adoption of the Bologna Process and technical progress (internet, PC). The research went hand in hand with education, which also affects the level of nursing care. When speaking of the second research question, it can be stated that the first research can be traced back to prehistoric times, through sources of human knowledge, nursing care needs, nursing education, work needs and requirements, nurses' health and safety, motivation, nurses' roles or community nursing. In the period of time, research activity has led to the establishment of research centers and training faculties, research educational programs, research plans (prevention, digitalization, chronically ill), international cooperation and the achievement of their own terminology, classification and methodology. For the time being is nursing research defined by ethical and legal principles, based on EBN and financed from public resources.

In this bachelor's thesis we give an overview of the development of gymnastics tools and reports with a focus on asymmetric bars. The most tumultuous development of all kinds of gymnastic tools is the asymmetric bars of women after the Second World War. From male parallel bars we gradually switched to exercise on asymmetric bars. The exercise was initially rather static. Later the exercise on asymmetric bars was characterized by technically and dynamically perfect execution of elements and frequent alternation of transition from one bar to another. The first chapter of the bachelor thesis briefly discusses the history of gymnastics. The second chapter describes the development of the construction on asymmetric bars. The third chapter describes the development of elements, reports and rules on asymmetric bars. Most information was drawn from professional periodicals and literature dealing with specific issues in the period.

The evolution of a flute will be monitored from the very inception, whose testimony is provided by archaelogical discoveries, over antiquity and medieval to renesance, where we can observe much more comprehensive and specific information of development of this musical instrument, whose tones accompany humankind in varios forms for centuries. In next pages the work deals with the crucial period in which this flute was very widespread, namely the Baroque style, where the period interpretation of the baroque transverse flute will be described. We will approach the history of our musical instrument in the work to around the year of 1916, where we will learn about the type of so-called multi-flaps flute. In the final part we will get to workshops of current major manufacturers producing these period instruments, such as Martin Wenner, Boaz Berney, Rudolf Tutz and more. We will also take a look at the pictures of the flute in fine arts, poetry and we will present concrete works of art in the form of paintings, engravings and statues.

The bachelor thesis "The Development of Conceptual Nursing Models" has a theoretical character and its aim is to analyse the approach to conceptual models from their very beginning to the present. The thesis is conceived as an analytical study followed by the elaboration of an interpretative text. The method of textual hermeneutics was used for text analysis and subsequent interpretation. The documents obtained were first collected, then analysed and subsequently interpreted. In connection with the analysis of the text, the question was asked: How have the conceptual nursing models been developed over time? The development of nursing models can be traced from the beginning of the professional nursing, dating back to the mid-19th century. Florence Nightingale is considered to be the founder of professional nursing, and although her concept was not taken as a model at first, it is believed it represents the beginning of the development of nursing models. The development of the models has been going on all the time up to the present, and the most important development took place in the 1960s. The development was also affected by the events which occurred at that time in the world, the development of medicine and last but not least, the development of nursing education and the possibility of higher education in the field of nursing. Proper use of conceptual models is important for both nurses and patients. Thanks to the models, nursing is not provided only in accordance with the biomedical model as it used to be in earlier times, but on the contrary there are efforts to use models reflecting holistic approach and humanism. The text shows that the inspiration for nursing comes from the attitude change of nurses to patients and vice versa patients to nurses, as well as the emphasis on meeting the needs of both patients and nurses. The results of the thesis should lead to deeper understanding of the importance of nursing models for nurses working in clinical practice, as well as for students preparing for the nursing profession.

The thesis focuses on the history of pain treatment from the beginning of humanity to present days. It aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the research development, creation of theories and struggling of a man with the pain, an unpleasant sensory perception, without which the mankind would most probably not survive. From the skeletal remains we learn about pain-killing practices among primitive people who were, besides various potions, charms, spells and rituals, able to use even the trepanation techniques. We find that people in ancient times apparently understood the pain caused by traumatic mechanisms but they could not handle the pain caused by some internal disorder. Early findings about the treatment of pain were thus linked to the nature. People used plants with narcotic and analgetic effects e. g. opium, cannabis, mandrake and physical quantities such as pressure, heat, cold or even shocks generated by electric fish. Over the time they improved this knowledge and reached for new findings. This thesis presents also ideas and creation of theories of pain provided by thinkers and scholars across centuries. Works from antiquity had apparently the biggest and the longest lasting influence on pain and medical problematics. From historical sources we read that new discoveries in medicine...
