In this work, we have investigated the strong decays for low-lying excited states of doubly charmed and bottom baryons in the constituent quark model. Our results indicate that some $\lambda-$mode $\Xi_{cc/bb}(1P)$ and $\Omega_{cc/bb}(1P)$ states are relatively narrow, which are very likely to be discovered by future experiments. The light meson emissions for the low-lying $\rho-$mode states are highly suppressed due to the orthogonality of wave functions between initial and final states. Moreover, the strong decay behaviors for doubly charmed and bottom baryons preserve the heavy superflavor symmetry well, where the small violation originates from the finite heavy quark masses and different phase spaces. We hope that present theoretical results for undiscovered doubly charmed and bottom baryons can provide helpful information for future experiments and help us better understand the heavy quark symmetry., Comment: 9 pages, 2 figures, comments and suggestions are welcome

The dynamic mechanism of short range interaction between $u/d$ quarks is still an open and challenging problem. In order to reveal this quark dynamics, we perform a systematic analysis of $NN$, $D_{03}$, and $D_{30}$ systems in the (extended) chiral SU(3) constituent quark models. By comparing results calculated with different models and different parameter sets, the effects of one gluon exchange and vector meson exchange terms are carefully examined. The results indicate that the vector meson exchange interactions dominate the short range interactions between $u/d$ quarks, while the small residual one gluon exchange coupling strength is also allowed., Comment: 8 pages, 2 figures, comments and suggestions are welcome

In present work, we perform a coupled-channel analysis of $B^{(*)}_{(s)}\bar{B}^{(*)}_{(s)}$ systems with the one-boson-exchange potentials. We first study the $I(J^{PC})=1(1^{+-})$ $B\bar{B}^{*}/B^{*}\bar{B}^{*}$ system to describe the $Z_{b}(10610)$ and $Z_{b}(10650)$ particles as molecular states and determine the reasonable range of cutoff parameter $\Lambda$. Then, other $B^{(*)}_{(s)}\bar{B}^{(*)}_{(s)}$ combinations with different quantum numbers are systematically investigated. Some bound states and resonances appear in the isoscalar systems, while only several shallow bound states exist for isovector systems. Far away from the excited conventional $P-$wave bottomium, these predicted states can be easily identified as exotic particles both theoretically and experimentally. Moreover, the $\eta_b(nS)/\Upsilon(nS)$ plus light mesons are the excellent final states to search for the bound states, while the $B\bar B^*+h.c.$ and $B^* \bar B^*$ channels are suitable for the resonances. The similar densities of dark matter and baryons in the universe imply that they might arise from the same ultraviolet model. The B-Mesogenesis, which assumes dark matter is charged under the baryon number, attempts to simultaneously explain the origin of baryon asymmetry and dark matter in the universe. In particular, the B-Mesogenesis might induce bottom-baryon decays into invisible or semi-invisible final states, which provide a distinctive signal for probing this scenario. In this work, we systematically study the invisible decays of bottom baryons into dark matters, and semi-invisible decays of bottom baryons into a meson or a photon together with a dark matter particle. In particular, the fully invisible decay can explore the stable particles in B-Mesogenesis. Some QCD-based frameworks are used to calculate the hadronic matrix elements under the B-Mesogenesis model. We estimate the constraints on the Wilson coefficients or the product of some new physics couplings with the Wilson coefficients by the semi-invisible and invisible decays of bottom baryons at future colliders., Comment: 25 pages, 7 figures

We present a method to compute lightcone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) of heavy meson within heavy quark effective theory (HQET). Our method utilizes quasi distribution amplitudes (quasi-DAs) with a large momentum component $P^z$. We point out that by sequentially integrating out $P^z$ and $m_H$, one can disentangle different dynamical scales. Integrating out $P^z$ allows to connect quasi-DAs to QCD LCDAs, and then integrating out $m_H$ enables to relate QCD LCDAs to HQET LCDAs. To verify this proposal, we make use of lattice QCD simulation on a lattice ensemble with spacing $a = 0.05187$\,fm. The preliminary findings for HQET LCDAs qualitatively align with phenomenological models. Using a recent model for HQET LCDAs, we also fit the first inverse moment $\lambda_B^{-1}$ and the result is consistent with the experimentally constrain from $B \to \gamma \ell\nu_\ell$. This agreement demonstrates the promise of our method in providing first-principle predictions for heavy meson LCDAs., Comment: 6.5 +1.5 pages, 4 +2 figures

In this work, we study the low-lying mass spectra for bottom-charmed baryons in a nonrelativistic quark model by solving the three-body Schr\"odinger equation. The lowest $\Xi_{bc}$, $\Xi_{bc}^\prime$, $\Omega_{bc}$, and $\Omega_{bc}^\prime$ states are predicted to be about 6979, 6953, 7109, and 7092 MeV, respectively. Also, the strong decays for the low-lying excited states are investigated. Our results indicate that some of $\lambda-$mode $P-$wave bottom-charmed baryons are relatively narrow, which can be searched for in future experiments. For the low-lying $\rho-$mode and $\rho-\lambda$ hybrid states, their strong decays are highly suppressed and they can survive as extremely narrow states. Moreover, the mass spectra and strong decays for bottom-charmed baryons preserve the heavy quark symmetry well. The Super $\tau$-Charm facility (STCF) is an electron-positron collider proposed by the Chinese particle physics community. It is designed to operate in a center-of-mass energy range from 2 to 7 GeV with a peak luminosity of $0.5\times 10^{35}{\rm cm}^{-2}{\rm s}^{-1}$ or higher. The STCF will produce a data sample about a factor of 100 larger than that by the present $\tau$-Charm factory -- the BEPCII, providing a unique platform for exploring the asymmetry of matter-antimatter (charge-parity violation), in-depth studies of the internal structure of hadrons and the nature of non-perturbative strong interactions, as well as searching for exotic hadrons and physics beyond the Standard Model. The STCF project in China is under development with an extensive R\&D program. This document presents the physics opportunities at the STCF, describes conceptual designs of the STCF detector system, and discusses future plans for detector R\&D and physics case studies.

We perform a systematic analysis of the mass and strong decays of the $\Omega(2012)$ resonance in a coupled-channel approach of a bare three-quark state and a composite meson-baryon state. Besides the coupling of the bare state and $\Xi^* \bar K$ channel, the effective meson-baryon interactions are also included. We find a pole with mass of $2008$ MeV by solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation. The calculated decay widths and its ratios of branching fractions $\mathcal {R}_{\Xi \bar K}^{\Xi \pi \bar K}$ agree well with the new experimental measurement by Belle Collaboration. Our results suggest that both three-quark core and $\Xi^* \bar K$ channel are essential for the description of the $\Omega(2012)$ resonance. We study $B\to \pi\pi$ decay with a modified perturbative QCD approach. The branching ratios and $CP$ violation are calculated with the transverse momenta of partons considered. Sudakov factor associated with each meson is included to suppress soft contribution in QCD. With the wave function of $B$ meson obtained in QCD-inspired relativistic potential model being used, the suppression of Sudakov factor to the soft contribution is not effective enough. Soft scale cutoff and soft form factors of $B\pi$ transition and $\pi\pi$ production have to be introduced. The main next-to-leading-order contributions of vertex correction, the quark-loop and magnetic penguin are included. To solve the long-standing puzzle in $B\to\pi\pi$ decay, that is the theoretical prediction of the branching ratio of $B^0\to \pi^0\pi^0$ being seriously smaller than experimental data, color-octet matrix element which is of long-distance dynamics is introduced. With parameters taken with reasonable values, all the branching ratios and $CP$ violation are well consistent with experimental data., Comment: 13 pages, 1 figure, version to appear in Phys. Rev. D

We adopt the quark pair creation model to investigate the light meson emissions of several charmonium-like states. The quark pair creation model is applied to the four-body systems, and we calculate the pion/kaon emissions of the $X(4700)$, $Z_c(4430)$, $Y(4230)$, $Y(4360)$, $Y(4390)$ and $Y(4660)$ within the compact tetraquark assumptions. It is found that the pion/kaon decay widths for the $X(4700)$ and $Z_c(4430)$ are relatively small, while the partial decay widths for the resonances $Y(4230)$, $Y(4360)$, $Y(4390)$ and $Y(4660)$ are significant. In this work, we systematically investigate the mass spectra of fully-heavy hexaquarks within a constituent quark model by including the color Coulomb potential, linear confining potential, and spin-spin interactions. Our results show that all of the fully-heavy hexaquarks lie above the corresponding baryon-baryon thresholds, and thus no stable compact one exists. The nonleptonic weak decay processes $\Omega_c \to \Omega\pi^+/\Omega(1P)\pi^+/\Omega(1D)\pi^+/\Omega(2S)\pi^+$ are studied using the constituent quark model. The branching fraction of $\Omega_c \to \Omega\pi^+$ is predicted to be $1.1\%$. Considering the newly observed $\Omega(2012)$ resonance as a conventional $1P$-wave $\Omega$ excite state with spin-parity $J^P=3/2^-$, the newly measured ratio $\mathcal{B}[\Omega_c\to \Omega(2012)\pi^+ \to (\Xi\bar{K})^-\pi^+ ]/\mathcal{B}[\Omega_c\to \Omega \pi^+]$ at Belle can be well understood. Besides, the production rates for the missing $1P-$wave state $\Omega (1^2P_{1/2^-})$, two spin quartet $1D-$wave states $\Omega (1^4D_{1/2^+})$ and $\Omega (1^4D_{3/2^+})$, and two $2S$-wave states $\Omega(2^2S_{1/2^+})$ and $\Omega(2^4S_{3/2^+})$ are also investigated. It is expected that these missing excited $\Omega$ baryons should have large potentials to be discovered through the nonleptonic weak decays of $\Omega_c$ in forthcoming experiments by Belle II and/or LHCb., Comment: 9 pages,3 figures

We accomplish the analytical computation of the pure weak annihilation non-leptonic $B$-meson decay amplitudes at leading power in the heavy quark expansion. The novel observation regarding such fundamental hadronic quantities is that adding the missing hard-collinear contribution on top of the hard gluon exchange effect eliminates rapidity divergences entering the convolution integrals of factorization formulae. Subsequently we identify the perturbative enhancement mechanism due to the penguin contractions of the current-current operators from the weak effective Hamiltonian, which yields the significant impacts on the CP violating observables., Comment: 5+2 pages, 1 figure

The $D_{s0}(2590)^{+}$ resonance observed by LHCb Collaboration is a strong candidate of the $D_{s}(2^1S_0)$ state according to its spin parity and strong decay mode. However, the measured mass seems relatively lower than the previous theoretical predictions, which interests the coupled channel interpretations in the literature. In this work, we adopt an alternate approach, taking into account the screening effects in the potential model, to describe the $D_{s0}(2590)^{+}$ resonance. The mass spectrum and strong decays of the excited charmed-strange mesons are investigated within the modified relativized quark model and $^3P_0$ model. The calculated mass and width of the $D_{s0}(2590)^{+}$ are consistent with the experimental observations, which indicate that it can be reasonably interpreted as the $D_{s}(2^{1}S_{0})$ state., Comment: 9 pages, 2 figures, comments or suggestions are welcome

We study the so-called magic mixing angles for doubly heavy baryons. Defining that a magic mixing angle rotates states with definite $^{2S+1}(l_\lambda)_J$ to make them heavy-quark symmetric states, we derive the magic mixing angle only in the case $L_\rho=0$ between the heavy quark symmetric states with quantum numbers $\left(J, j_\ell\right)$ and the states with $\left(J, s_q+j_\rho\right)=\left(J, \{^4l_\lambda/^2l_\lambda\}\right)$ for a doubly heavy baryon in the standard $\rho-\lambda$ configuration, where $\vec j_\ell=\vec l_\lambda+\vec s_q$, $\vec s_\rho=\vec s_{Q1}+\vec s_{Q2}$, and $\vec j_\rho=\vec s_\rho+\vec L_\rho$. In this paper, we adopt an extended relativized quark model to investigate the triply-heavy tetrquarks systematically. The mass spectra are obtained by solving the four-body relativized Hamiltonian including the Coulomb potential, confining potential, spin-spin interactions, and relativistic corrections. We find that all of the triply-heavy tetraquarks lie above the corresponding meson-meson thresholds, and thus no stable one exists. In particular, besides the spin-spin interactions, the Coulomb and confining potentials also contribute to the mass splittings in the $cb\bar c \bar q$ and $cb\bar b \bar q$ systems. Moreover, the whole mass spectra for triply heavy tetraquarks show quite similar patterns, which preserve the light flavor SU(3) symmetry and heavy quark symmetry well. Through the fall-apart mechanism, the triply-heavy tetraquarks may easily decay into the heavy quarkonium plus heavy-light mesons, which are good candidates for investigation in future experiments., Comment: 15 pages, 4 figures. In this article, we perform a sensitivity study of an unbinned angular analysis of the $B\to D^*\ell \nu_\ell$ decay, including the contributions from the right-handed current. In this work, we adopt the $^3P_0$ model to investigate the strong decays of the low-lying doubly bottom baryons in the $j-j$ coupling scheme systematically. In this scheme, we construct the formulism of $^3P_0$ model under the spectator assumption, and then the heavy diquark symmetry is preserved automatically. Our results show that some of the $\lambda$-mode $\Xi_{bb}(1P)$ and $\Omega_{bb}(1P)$ states are narrow, which have good potentials to be observed by future experiments. For the low-lying $\rho$-mode and $\rho$-$\lambda$ hybrid states, the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka-allowed strong decays are highly suppressed and they should be extremely narrow. We reanalyze the problems in the assignment of 3$^3S_1$ and 4$^3S_1$ light mesons, which have not yet been well established with the $q\bar{q}$ quark model. Regge trajectories and the $^3P_0$ decay model are used respectively to study the mass and width of the observed states and predict the missing ones. By comparing our calculations with the latest experiments, we suggest that the inconsistent data of $\rho(2150)$ may include two similar structures $\rho(4^3S_1)$ and $\omega(4^3S_1)$. In this work, the strong decay behaviors of the $\lambda-$mode low-lying $\Xi_{b}$ and $\Xi_{b}^\prime$ baryons are investigated within the $^3P_0$ model. Our results suggest that all of the low-lying $\bar 3_F$ states $\Xi_b(2S)$, $\Xi_b(1P)$, and $\Xi_b(1D)$ have small decay widths of less than 20 MeV, and these states have good potentials to be observed in the $\Xi_b^\prime \pi$ and $\Xi_b^{\prime *} \pi$ invariant masses. Further, most of the $6_F$ multiplets are relatively narrow and may decay into the $\Xi_b \pi$, $\Xi_b^\prime \pi$, $\Xi_b^{\prime *} \pi$, and $\Lambda_b \bar K$ final states. Considering the masses and strong decay behaviors, we can assign the newly observed $\Xi_{b}(6100)$ resonance as the $\Xi_b(1P)$ state with $J^P=3/2^-$ and interpret the $\Xi_{b}(6227)$ structure as the $J^P=3/2^-$ $\Xi_b^\prime(1P)$ state with a proper mixing angle. We study the Standard Model and the new physics predictions for the lepton-flavour-universality violating (LFUV) ratios in various $b\to s \ell^+\ell^-$ channels with scalar, pseudoscalar, vector, axial-vector, and $\Lambda$ baryon final states, considering both unpolarized and polarized final state hadrons. In order to formulate physical observables, we use the model independent effective Hamiltonian approach and employ the helicity formalism. We provide the explicit expressions of the helicity amplitudes in terms of the Wilson coefficients and the hadronic form factors by using the same kinematical configuration and polarization conventions for all the decay channels.We perform the numerical analysis with new physics scenarios selected from the recent global fits to $b\to s\ell^+\ell^-$ data, having specific new physics model interpretations. We find that some of the LFUV ratios for these complementary channels in different kinematical regions have high sensitivity to new physics and the future measurements of them in Belle II and LHCb experiments, along with testing new physics/LFUV, can help to distinguish among some of the different new physics possibilities., Comment: 42 pages, 6 figures, 13 tables; version accepted for publication in NPB

In present work, we systematically calculate the mass spectra of open charm and bottom tetraquarks $q q\bar q \bar Q$ within an extended relativized quark model. The four-body relativized Hamiltonians including the Coulomb potential, confining potential, spin-spin interactions, and relativistic corrections are solved by using the variational method. It is found that the predicted masses of four $0^+$ $ud\bar s \bar c$ states are 2765, 3065, 3152, and 3396 MeV, which disfavor the assignment of the newly observed $X_0(2900)$ as a compact tetraquark. Moreover, the whole mass spectra of the open charm and bottom tetraquarks show quite similar patterns, which preserve the light flavor SU(3) symmetry and heavy quark symmetry well. In addition, our results suggest that the flavor exotic states $nn\bar s \bar c$, $nn\bar s \bar b$, $ss\bar n \bar c$, and $ss\bar n \bar b$ and their antiparticles can be searched in the heavy-light meson plus kaon final states by future experiments. Inspired by recent measurement of possible fully charmed tetraquarks in LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the mass spectra of fully heavy tetraquarks $QQ \bar Q \bar Q$ in an extended relativized quark model. Our estimations indicate that the broad structure around 6.4 GeV should contain one or more ground $cc \bar c \bar c$ tetraquark states, while the narrow structure near 6.9 GeV can be categorized as the first radial excitation of $cc \bar c \bar c$ system. Moreover, with the wave functions of the tetraquarks and mesons, the strong decays of tetraquarks into heavy quarkonium pair are qualitatively discussed, which can be further checked by the LHCb and CMS Collaborations., Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures, comments and suggestions are welcome

In the present work, the mass spectra of doubly heavy tetraquarks $T_{QQ^\prime}$ are systematically investigated in a relativized quark model. The four-body systems including the Coulomb potential, confining potential, spin-spin interactions, and relativistic corrections are solved within the variational method. Our results suggest that the $IJ^P=01^+$ $bb \bar u \bar d$ state is 54 MeV below the relevant $\bar B \bar B$ and $\bar B \bar B^*$ thresholds, which indicates that both strong and electromagnetic decays are forbidden, and thus this state can be a stable one. Its large hidden color component and small root mean square radius demonstrate that it is a compact tetraquark rather than a loosely bound molecule or point-like diquark-antidiquark structure. Inspired by the newly observed $\Lambda_b(6072)$ structure, we investigate its strong decay behaviors under various assignments within the $^3P_0$ model. Compared with the mass and total decay width, our results suggest that the $\Lambda_b(6072)$ can be regarded as the lowest $\rho-$mode excitation in $\Lambda_b$ family. Then, the strong decays of $\rho-$mode nonstrange partners for the $\Lambda_b(6072)$ are calculated. It is found that the $J^P=5/2^-$ $\Lambda_b$ and $\Lambda_c$ states are relatively narrow, and mainly decay into the $\Sigma_b^{(*)} \pi$ and $\Sigma_c^{(*)} \pi$ final states, respectively. These two states have good potentials to be observed in future experiments, which may help us to distinguish the three-quark model and diquark model., Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures, comments and suggestions are welcome

In this work we calculate the mass spectrum of strangeonium up to the $3D$ multiplet within a nonrelativistic linear potential quark model. Furthermore, using the obtained wave functions, we also evaluate the strong decays of the strangeonium states with the $^3P_0$ model. Based on our successful explanations of the well established states $\phi(1020)$, $\phi(1680)$, $h_1(1415)$, $f'_2(1525)$, and $\phi_3(1850)$, we further discuss the possible assignments of strangeonium-like states from experiments by combining our theoretical results with the observations. It is found that some resonances, such as $f_2(2010)$ and $f_2(2150)$ listed by the Particle Data Group, and $X(2062)$ and $X(2500)$ newly observed by BESIII, may be interpreted as the strangeonium states. The possibility of $\phi(2170)$ as a candidate for $\phi(3S)$ or $\phi(2D)$ cannot be excluded. Three neutral resonances $\Xi_c(2923)^0$, $\Xi_c(2939)^0$ and $\Xi_c(2965)^0$ have been observed in the $\Lambda_c^+ K^-$ mass spectrum by the LHCb Collaboration. Given the $\Xi_c$ and $\Xi_c^\prime$ mass spectra predicted by the constituent quark models, these three resonances are tentatively treated as the $\lambda-$mode $\Xi_c(2S)$, $\Xi_c^\prime(2S)$, $\Xi_c^{\prime *}(2S)$, and $\Xi_c^\prime(1P)$ states, and their strong decay behaviors are calculated within the $^3P_0$ model. Our results indicate that the $\Xi_c(2923)^0$ and $\Xi_c(2939)^0$ can be clarified into the $J^P=3/2^-$ and $5/2^-$ $\Xi_c^\prime(1P)$ states respectively, and the $\Xi_c(2965)^0$ can be regarded as the $J^P=1/2^+$ $\Xi_c^\prime(2S)$ state. Also, we suggest that the previous observed $\Xi_c(2930)$ may be the overlap of two structures $\Xi_c(2923)$ and $\Xi_c(2939)$, and the $\Xi_c(2970)$ should be the same state as $\Xi_c(2965)$. Other theoretical information on the missing $\Xi_c(2S)$, $\Xi_c^{\prime *}(2S)$, and $\Xi_c^\prime(1P)$ states may be helpful for future experimental searches., Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures, some important corrections, suggestions and comments are welcome

We perform an analysis of the $b\to c\tau\nu$ data, including $R(D^{(*)})$, $R(J/\psi)$, $P_\tau(D^{*})$ and $F_L^{D^*}$, within and beyond the Standard Model (SM). We fit the $B\to D^{(*)}$ hadronic form factors in the HQET parametrization to the lattice and the light-cone sum rule (LCSR) results, applying the general strong unitarity bounds corresponding to $J^P=1^-$, $1^+$, $0^-$ and $0^+$. Using the obtained HQET relations between helicity amplitudes, we give the strong unitarity bounds on individual helicity amplitudes, which can be used in the BGL fits. Using the fitted form factors and taking into account the most recent Belle measurement of $R(D^{(*)})$ we investigate the model-independent and the leptoquark model explanations of the $b\to c\tau\nu$ anomalies. Specifically, we consider the one-operator, the two-operator new physics (NP) scenarios and the NP models with a single $R_2$, $S_1$ or $U_1$ leptoquark which is supposed to be able to address the $b\to c\tau\nu$ anomalies, and our results show that the $R_2$ leptoquark model is in tension with the limit $\mathcal B(B_c\to \tau\nu)<10\%$. We revisit QCD calculations of radiative heavy meson decay form factors by including the subleading power corrections from the twist-two photon distribution amplitude at next-to-leading-order in $\alpha_s$ with the method of the light-cone sum rules (LCSR). The desired hard-collinear factorization formula for the vacuum-to-photon correlation function with the interpolating currents for two heavy mesons is constructed with the operator-product-expansion technique in the presence of evanescent operators. Applying the background field approach, the higher twist corrections from both the two-particle and three-particle photon distribution amplitudes are further computed in the LCSR framework at leading-order in QCD, up to the twist-four accuracy. Combining the leading power "point-like" photon contribution at tree level and the subleading power resolved photon corrections from the newly derived LCSR, we update theory predictions for the nonperturbative couplings describing the electromagnetic decay processes of the heavy mesons $H^{\ast \, \pm} \to H^{\pm} \, \gamma$, $H^{\ast \, 0} \to H^{0} \, \gamma$, $H_s^{\ast \, \pm} \to H_s^{\pm} \, \gamma$ (with $H=D, \, B$). Furthermore, we perform an exploratory comparisons of our sum rule computations of the heavy-meson magnetic couplings with the previous determinations based upon different QCD approaches and phenomenological models., Comment: 39 pages, 4 figures

Motivated by the newly observed narrow structures $\Omega_b(6316)^-$, $\Omega_b(6330)^-$, $\Omega_b(6340)^-$, and $\Omega_b(6350)^-$ in the $\Xi_b^0 K^-$ mass spectrum, we investigate the strong decays of the low-lying $\Omega_b$ states within the $^3P_0$ model systematically. According to their masses and decay widths, the observed $\Omega_b(6316)^-$, $\Omega_b(6330)^-$, $\Omega_b(6340)^-$, and $\Omega_b(6350)^-$ resonances can be reasonably assigned as the $\lambda-$mode $\Omega_b(1P)$ states with $J^P=1/2^-, 3/2^-, 3/2^-$, and $5/2^-$. Meanwhile, the remaining $P-$wave state with $J^P=1/2^-$ should have a rather broad width, which can hardly be observed by experiments. For the $\Omega_b(2S)$ and $\Omega_b(1D)$ states, our predictions show that these states have relatively narrow total widths and mainly decay into the $\Xi_b \bar K$, $\Xi_b^\prime \bar K$ and $\Xi_b^{\prime*} \bar K$ final states. Combining the recent developments of the observations of $\Omega$ sates we calculate the $\Omega$ spectrum up to the $N=2$ shell within a nonrelativistic constituent quark potential model. Furthermore, the strong and radiative decay properties for the $\Omega$ resonances within the $N=2$ shell are evaluated by using the masses and wave functions obtained from the potential model. It is found that the newly observed $\Omega(2012)$ resonance is most likely to be the spin-parity $J^P=3/2^-$ $1P$-wave state $\Omega(1^{2}P_{3/2^{-}})$, it also has a large potential to be observed in the $\Omega(1672)\gamma$ channel. Our calculation shows that the 1$P$-, 1$D$-, and 2$S$-wave $\Omega$ baryons have a relatively narrow decay width of less than 50 MeV. Based on the obtained decay properties and mass spectrum, we further suggest optimum channels and mass regions to find the missing $\Omega$ resonances via the strong and/or radiative decay processes., Comment: 12 pages, 1 figure

In this work, we preform a systematic study of the strong decays for the higher singly heavy baryon resonances $\Lambda_Q(3S)$, $\Lambda_Q(2P)$, $\Lambda_Q(2D)$, $\Lambda_Q(1F)$, $\Sigma_Q(3S)$, $\Sigma_Q(2P)$, $\Sigma_Q(2D)$, and $\Sigma_Q(1F)$ within the $^3P_0$ model. Our results show that most of the $\lambda-$mode higher excited $\Lambda_Q$ and $\Sigma_Q$ states have a relatively narrow width, and mainly decay into two-body final states with one heavy meson plus one light baryon. Stimulated by the newly observed $\Lambda_b(6146)^0$ and $\Lambda_b(6152)^0$ resonances, we investigate the strong decays of the low-lying singly bottom baryons within the quark pair creation model. Considering their masses and decay modes, we tentatively assign these states as the $\lambda-$ mode $\Lambda_b(2S)$, $\Lambda_b(1D)$, $\Sigma_b(2S)$, and $\Sigma_b(1P)$ states, and then estimate their strong decay widths. Compared with the experimental total widths and decay modes measured by the LHCb Collaboration, the $\Lambda_b(6146)^0$ and $\Lambda_b(6152)^0$ can be reasonably clarified into the $J^P=5/2^+$ and $J^P=3/2^+$ $\Lambda_b(1D)$ sates respectively, while other canonical assignments are disfavored. Applying the vacuum-to-$B$-meson correlation functions with an interpolating current for the light vector meson we construct the light-cone sum rules (LCSR) for the "effective" form factors $\xi_{\parallel}(n \cdot p)$, $\xi_{\perp}(n \cdot p)$, $\Xi_{\parallel}(\tau, n \cdot p)$ and $\Xi_{\perp}(\tau, n \cdot p)$, defined by the corresponding hadronic matrix elements in soft-collinear effective theory (SCET), entering the leading-power factorization formulae for QCD form factors responsible for $B \to V \ell \bar \nu_{\ell}$ and $B \to V \ell \bar \ell$ decays at large hadronic recoil at next-to-leading-order in QCD. The light-quark mass effect for the local SCET form factors $\xi_{\parallel}(n \cdot p)$ and $\xi_{\perp}(n \cdot p)$ is also computed from the LCSR method with the $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude $\phi_B^{+}(\omega, \mu)$ at ${\cal O}(\alpha_s)$. Furthermore, the subleading power corrections to $B \to V$ form factors from the higher-twist $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitudes are also computed with the same method at tree level up to the twist-six accuracy. Having at our disposal the LCSR predictions for $B \to V$ form factors, we further perform new determinations of the CKM matrix element $|V_{ub}|$ from the semileptonic $B \to \rho \, \ell \, \bar \nu_{\ell}$ and $B \to \omega \, \ell \, \bar \nu_{\ell}$ decays, and predict the normalized differential branching fractions and the $q^2$-binned $K^{\ast}$ longitudinal polarization fractions of the exclusive rare $B \to K^{\ast} \, \nu_{\ell} \, \bar \nu_{\ell}$ decays., Comment: 76 pages, 15 figures

Inspired by the new resonance $Y(10750)$, we calculate the masses and two-body OZI-allowed strong decays of the higher vector bottomonium sates within both screened and linear potential models. We discuss the possibilities of $\Upsilon(10860)$ and $Y(10750)$ as mixed states via the $S-D$ mixing. Our results suggest that $Y(10750)$ and $\Upsilon(10860)$ might be explained as mixed states between $5S$- and $4D$-wave vector $b\bar{b}$ states. The $Y(10750)$ and $\Upsilon(10860)$ resonances may correspond to the mixed states dominated by the $4D$- and $5S$-wave components, respectively. The mass and the strong decay behaviors of the $\Upsilon(11020)$ resonance are consistent with the assignment of the $\Upsilon(6S)$ state in the potential models., Comment: 9 pages, 4 figures. Using the newly measured masses of $B_c(1S)$ and $B_c(2S)$ from the CMS Collaboration and the $1S$ hyperfine splitting determined from the lattice QCD as constrains, we calculate the $B_c$ mass spectrum up to the $6S$ multiplet with a nonrelativistic linear potential model. Furthermore, using the wave functions from this model we calculate the radiative transitions between the $B_c$ states within a constituent quark model. For the higher mass $B_c$ states lying above $DB$ threshold, we also evaluate the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka (OZI) allowed two-body strong decays with the $^{3}P_{0}$ model. Our study indicates that besides there are large potentials for the observations of the low-lying $B_c$ states below the $DB$ threshold via their radiative transitions, some higher mass $B_c$ states, such as $B_c(2^3P_2)$, $B_c(2^3D_1)$, $B_c(3^3D_1)$, $B_c(4^3P_0)$, and the $1F$-wave $B_c$ states, might be first observed in their dominant strong decay channels $DB$, $DB^*$ or $D^*B$ at the LHC for their relatively narrow widths., Comment: 19 pages, 15 tables

Very recently, the LHCb Collaboration observed the $CP$ violation (CPV) in the charm sector for the first time, with $\Delta A_{CP}^{\rm dir}\equiv A_{CP}(D^0\to K^+K^-)-A_{CP}(D^0\to \pi^+\pi^-)=(-1.54\pm0.29)\times10^{-3}$. This result is consistent with our prediction of $\Delta A_{CP}^{\rm SM}=(-0.57\sim -1.87)\times 10^{-3}$ obtained in the factorization-assisted topological-amplitude (FAT) approach in [PRD86,036012(2012)]. It implies that the current understanding of the penguin dynamics in charm decays in the Standard Model is reasonable. Motivated by the success of the FAT approach, we further suggest to measure the $D^+\to K^+K^-\pi^+$ decay, which is the next potential mode to reveal the CPV of the same order as $10^{-3}$., Comment: 10 pages

We investigate the mass spectrum of the $ss \bar s \bar s$ tetraquark states within the relativized quark model. By solving the Schr\"{o}dinger-like equation with the relativized potential, the masses of the $S-$ and $P-$wave $ss \bar s \bar s$ tetraquarks are obtained. The screening effects are also taken into account. It is found that the observed resonant structure $X(2239)$ in the $e^+e^- \to K^+K^-$ process by BESIII Collaboration can be assigned as a $P-$wave $1^{--}$ $ss \bar s \bar s$ tetraquark state. Furthermore, the radiative transition and strong decay behaviors of this structure are also estimated, which can provide helpful information for future experimental searches., Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures. In this work we study the mass spectra of the fully-heavy tetraquark systems, i.e. $cc\bar{c}\bar{c}$, $bb\bar{b}\bar{b}$, $bb\bar{c}\bar{c}/cc\bar{b}\bar{b}$, $bc\bar{c}\bar{c}/cc\bar{b}\bar{c}$, $bc\bar{b}\bar{b}/bb\bar{b}\bar{c}$, and $bc\bar{b}\bar{c}$, within a potential model by including the linear confining potential, Coulomb potential, and spin-spin interactions. It shows that the linear confining potential has important contributions to the masses and is crucial for our understanding of the mass spectra of the fully-heavy tetraquark systems. For the fully-heavy tetraquarks $Q_1Q_2\bar{Q}_3\bar{Q}_4$ our explicit calculations suggest that no bound states can be formed below the thresholds of any meson pairs $(Q_1\bar{Q}_3)$-$(Q_2\bar{Q}_4)$ or $(Q_1\bar{Q}_4)$-$(Q_2\bar{Q}_3)$. Thus, we do not expect narrow fully-heavy tetraquark states to be existing in experiments., Comment: 10 pages, 1 figure

The measurements of $R_{K^{(*)}}=\mathcal B(B\to K^{(*)}\mu^{+}\mu^{-})/\mathcal B(B\to K^{(*)}e^{+}e^{-})$ in recent years have hinted lepton flavor non-universality and thus drawn widespread attentions. If these anomalies are induced by new physics (NP), deviations from the SM predictions may also be found in other channels via the same process at the quark level. In this work, we study in $B\to K_{1}(1270,1400)\mu^{+}\mu^{-}$ decays the effects of two popular classes of NP models which can address the $b\to s$ anomalies, i.e. the leptoquark models and the $Z^{\prime}$ models. By assuming that NP only affects the $b\to s\mu^+\mu^-$ transition, we find that the unpolarized and polarized lepton flavor universality (LFU) ratios $R_{K_1^{(L,T)}(1270)}$ are useful to distinguish among the NP models (scenarios) and the SM because they are sensitive to the NP effects and insensitive to the mixing angle $\theta_{K_1}$, while the $R_{K_1^{(L,T)}(1400)}$ are sensitive to both NP and $\theta_{K_1}$. Another ratio $R_\mu(K_1)=\mathcal B(B\to K_1(1400)\mu^+\mu^-)/\mathcal B(B\to K_1(1270)\mu^+\mu^-)$ is shown to depend weekly on the effects from the NP models (scenarios) under consideration, and thus can be used to determine the $\theta_{K_1}$ and complement the $R_{K_1^{(L,T)}}$ in the probe for NP., Comment: 21 pages, 5 figures and 8 tables; results modified, conclusions unchanged, description of Wilson coefficients modified, binned values for the LFU ratios included, references added

The strong decays of the $P$-wave $\Sigma_b$, $\Xi_b'$ and $\Omega_b$ baryons are investigated with a constituent quark model in the $j$-$j$ coupling scheme. The results show that the newly observed $\Sigma_b(6097)$ and $\Xi_b(6227)$ states by the LHCb collaboration can be assigned as the $\lambda$-mode $P$-wave singly bottom baryons. Given the heavy quark symmetry, both the $\Sigma_b(6097)$ and $\Xi_b(6227)$ states favor the light spin $j=2$ states with spin-parity numbers $J^P=3/2^-$ or $J^P=5/2^-$. We update QCD calculations of $B \to \pi, K$ form factors at large hadronic recoil by including the subleading-power corrections from the higher-twist $B$-meson light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) up to the twist-six accuracy and the strange-quark mass effects at leading-power in $\Lambda/m_b$ from the twist-two $B$-meson LCDA $\phi_B^{+}(\omega, \mu)$. The higher-twist corrections from both the two-particle and three-particle $B$-meson LCDAs are computed from the light-cone QCD sum rules (LCSR) at tree level. In particular, we construct the local duality model for the twist-five and -six $B$-meson LCDAs, in agreement with the corresponding asymptotic behaviours at small quark and gluon momenta, employing the QCD sum rules in heavy quark effective theory at leading order in $\alpha_s$. The strange quark mass effects in semileptonic $B \to K$ form factors yield the leading-power contribution in the heavy quark expansion, consistent with the power-counting analysis in soft-collinear effective theory, and they are also computed from the LCSR approach due to the appearance of the rapidity singularities. We further explore the phenomenological aspects of the semileptonic $B \to \pi \ell \nu$ decays and the rare exclusive processes $B \to K \nu \nu$, including the determination of the CKM matrix element $|V_{ub}|$, the normalized differential $q^2$ distributions and precision observables defined by the ratios of branching fractions for the above-mentioned two channels in the same intervals of $q^2$., Comment: 36 pages, 9 figures

Considering the mass, parity and $D^0 p$ decay mode, we tentatively assign the $\Lambda_c(2940)$ as the $P-$wave states with one radial excitation. Then, via studying the strong decay behavior of the $\Lambda_c(2940)$ within the $^3P_0$ model, we obtain that the total decay widths of the $\Lambda_{c1}(\frac{1}{2}^-,2P)$ and $\Lambda_{c1}(\frac{3}{2}^-,2P)$ states are 16.27 MeV and 25.39 MeV, respectively. Compared with the experimental total width $27.7^{+8.2}_{-6.0}\pm0.9^{+5.2}_{-10.4}~\rm{MeV}$ measured by LHCb Collaboration, both assignments are allowed, and the $J^P=\frac{3}{2}^-$ assignment is more favorable. Other $\lambda-$mode $\Sigma_c(2P)$ states are also investigated, which are most likely to be narrow states and have good potential to be observed in future experiments., Comment: 7 pages, 4 figures, 4 tables

We study the $e^+e^-\to VP$ and $e^+e^-\to TP$ processes in the perturbative QCD approach based on $k_T$ factorization, where the $P,V$ and $T$ denotes a light pseudo-scalar, vector and tensor meson, respectively. We point out in the case of $e^+e^-\to TP$ transition due to charge conjugation invariance, only three channels are allowed: $e^+e^-\to a_2^{\pm} \pi^\mp$, $e^+e^-\to K_2^{*\pm} K^\mp$ and the V-spin suppressed $e^+e^-\to K_2^{*0} \bar K^0+\overline K_2^{*0} K^0 $. Cross sections of $e^+e^-\to VP$ and $e^+e^-\to TP$ at $\sqrt{s}=3.67$ GeV and $\sqrt{s}=10.58$ GeV are calculated and the invariant mass dependence is found to favor the $1/s^4$ power law. The open-charm strong decays of higher charmonium states up to the mass of the $6P$ multiplet are systematically studied in the $^3P_0$ model. The wave functions of the initial charmonium states are calculated in the linear potential (LP) and screened potential (SP) quark model. The decay widths for most of the well-established charmonium states above the open-charm thresholds can be reasonably described. By comparing our quark model calculations with the experimental observations we also discuss the nature of some of the newly observed charmonium-like states. It is found that (i) the $\psi(4415)$ may favor the $\psi(4S)$ or $\psi_1(3D)$ assignment. There may exist two highly overlapping vector charmonium states around 4.4 GeV; (ii) In the LP model the $J^{PC}=1^{--}$ $Y(4660)$ resonance and the $J^{PC}=0^{++}$ $X(4500)$ resonance may be assigned as the $\psi(5S)$ and $\chi_{c0}(4P)$, respectively; (iii) The newly observed state $X^*(3860)$ can be assigned as the $\chi_{c0}(2P)$ state with a narrow width of about $30$ MeV; (iv) It seems to be difficult to accommodate the $X(4140)$ and $X(4274)$ states in the same potential model as excited $\chi_{c1}$ states. (v) The $X(3940)$ resonance can be assigned as the $\eta_c(3S)$ state; (vi) The vector charmonium-like states $Y(4230/4260,4360)$ and scalar $X(4700)$ cannot be described by any conventional charmonium states self-consistently in our model., Comment: 20 pages, 2 figure, and 9 tables, published version

After the discovery of the Higgs boson, several future experiments have been proposed to study the Higgs boson properties, including two circular lepton colliders, the CEPC and the FCC-ee, and one linear lepton collider, the ILC. We evaluate the precision reach of these colliders in measuring the branching ratios of the charged lepton flavor violating Higgs decays $H\to e^\pm\mu^\mp$, $e^\pm\tau^\mp$ and $\mu^\pm\tau^\mp$. The expected upper bounds on the branching ratios given by the circular (linear) colliders are found to be $\mathcal{B}(H\to e^\pm\mu^\mp) < 1.2\ (2.1) \times 10^{-5}$, $\mathcal{B}(H\to e^\pm\tau^\mp) < 1.6\ (2.4) \times 10^{-4}$ and $\mathcal{B}(H\to \mu^\pm\tau^\mp) < 1.4\ (2.3) \times 10^{-4}$ at 95\% CL, which are improved by one to two orders compared to the current experimental bounds. Using the Regge-like formula $(M-m_Q)^2=\pi\sigma L$ between hadron mass $M$ and angular momentum $L$ with a heavy quark mass $m_Q$ and a string tension $\sigma$, we analyze all the heavy-light systems, i.e., $D/D_s/B/B_s$ mesons and charmed and bottom baryons.Numerical plots are obtained for all the heavy-light mesons of experimental data whose slope becomes nearly equal to 1/2 of that for light hadrons. Assuming that charmed and bottom baryons consist of one heavy quark and one light cluster of two light quarks (diquark), we apply the formula to all the heavy-light baryons including recently discovered $\Omega_c$'s and find that these baryons experimentally measured satisfy the above formula. We predict the average mass values of $B$, $B_s$, $\Lambda_b$, $\Sigma_c$, $\Xi_c$, and $\Omega_c$ with $L=2$ as 6.01, 6.13, 6.15, 3.05, 3.07, and 3.34 GeV, respectively. Our results on baryons suggest that these baryons can be safely regarded as heavy quark-light cluster configuration. We also find a universal description for all the heavy-light mesons as well as baryons, i.e., one unique line is enough to describe both of charmed and bottom heavy-light systems. We study the mass spectra and radiative decays of doubly heavy baryons within the diquark picture in a relativized quark model. The mass of the $J^P=1/2^+$ $\Xi_{cc}$ ground state is predicted to be 3606 MeV, which is consistent with the mass of $\Xi_{cc}^{++}(3621)$ newly observed by the LHCb collaboration. The predicted mass gap between two $S$ wave states, $\Xi_{cc}^*$ ($J^P=3/2^+$) and $\Xi_{cc}$ ($J^P=1/2^+$), is 69 MeV. Furthermore, the radiative transitions of doubly heavy baryons are also estimated by using the realistic wave functions obtained from relativized quark model. The radiative decay widths of $\Xi_{cc}^{*++} \to \Xi_{cc}^{++}\gamma$ and $\Xi_{cc}^{*+} \to \Xi_{cc}^+\gamma$ are predicted to be about 7 and 4 keV, respectively. The DArk Matter Particle Explorer (DAMPE), one of the four scientific space science missions within the framework of the Strategic Pioneer Program on Space Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, is a general purpose high energy cosmic-ray and gamma-ray observatory, which was successfully launched on December 17th, 2015 from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The DAMPE scientific objectives include the study of galactic cosmic rays up to $\sim 10$ TeV and hundreds of TeV for electrons/gammas and nuclei respectively, and the search for dark matter signatures in their spectra. In this paper we illustrate the layout of the DAMPE instrument, and discuss the results of beam tests and calibrations performed on ground. We compute perturbative QCD corrections to $B \to D$ form factors at leading power in $\Lambda/m_b$, at large hadronic recoil, from the light-cone sum rules (LCSR) with $B$-meson distribution amplitudes in HQET. QCD factorization for the vacuum-to-$B$-meson correlation function with an interpolating current for the $D$-meson is demonstrated explicitly at one loop with the power counting scheme $m_c \sim {\cal O} \left (\sqrt{\Lambda \, m_b} \right ) $. The jet functions encoding information of the hard-collinear dynamics in the above-mentioned correlation function are complicated by the appearance of an additional hard-collinear scale $m_c$, compared to the counterparts entering the factorization formula of the vacuum-to-$B$-meson correction function for the construction of $B \to \pi$ from factors. Inspecting the next-to-leading-logarithmic sum rules for the form factors of $B \to D \ell \nu$ indicates that perturbative corrections to the hard-collinear functions are more profound than that for the hard functions, with the default theory inputs, in the physical kinematic region. We further compute the subleading power correction induced by the three-particle quark-gluon distribution amplitudes of the $B$-meson at tree level employing the background gluon field approach. The LCSR predictions for the semileptonic $B \to D \ell \nu$ form factors are then extrapolated to the entire kinematic region with the $z$-series parametrization. Phenomenological implications of our determinations for the form factors $f_{BD}^{+, 0}(q^2)$ are explored by investigating the (differential) branching fractions and the $R(D)$ ratio of $B \to D \ell \nu$ and by determining the CKM matrix element $|V_{cb}|$ from the total decay rate of $B \to D \mu \nu_{\mu}$., Comment: 49 pages, 8 figures, version accepted for publication in JHEP
