2. Tribe Acalyptaini (Hemiptera: Tingidae : Tinginae) Revisited: Can Apomorphies in Secondary and Tertiary Structures of 18S rRNA Length-Variable Regions (LVRs) Support Tribe Validity?

Simple Summary: The small subunit (SSU) of the nuclear ribosomal DNA that codes 18S rRNA is one of the most frequently sequenced genes in phylogenetic analyses of true bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera). However, no studies have been identified that use this method with lace bugs (Tingidae). Furthermore, the secondary and tertiary structures of the 18S rRNA have not been described nor used to interpret relationships among lace bug taxa. The number of nucleotides and shapes of the 18S rRNA length-variable regions (LVRs) have been confirmed to be phylogenetically informative; therefore, we verified their usefulness in resolving the validity issues within the Acalyptaini tribe. The lace bug tribe Acalyptaini (Tingidae: Tinginae) includes five genera, Acalypta, Derephysia, Dictyonota, Kalama, and Recaredus, and it was recently resurrected based on morphological and karyological characters. We aimed to validate the distinctiveness of this tribe using 18S rDNA sequences, which have not been used in previous Tingidae phylogenomic studies. Our results confirmed the monophyly of the tribe. Moreover, the monophyly of the subfamily Cantacaderinae and its basal position within the family Tingidae were indicated, as well as the position of the tribe Litadeini as sister to all other Tinginae. In addition, we attempted to determine the apomorphic morpho-molecular characters in the secondary and tertiary structures of length-variable regions of the 18S rRNA sequences of the analysed species. The results showed that two LVRs (LVR X and LVR L) of the hypervariable region V4 exhibited significant variability in the number of nucleotides and could be considered for apomorphic recognition. Geotomus granulosus sp. n. (Fig. 1B���E, 2A���D) Etymology: The specific name refers to the unique dorsal body surface in the species; it is the Latin adjective granulosus, meaning ���granulous���, ���having small grains���. Diagnosis: In the absence of the subapical pair of hair-like setae on the clypeus, this new species is similar to three other Afrotropical species, namely G. palustris Linnavuori, 1977, G. radialis Signoret, 1883, and G. remedellii Mancini, 1954. However, it has a peculiar sehirine-like appearance in its dorsal habitus resembling species of Ochetostethus Fieber, 1860 and Ochetostethomorpha Schumacher, 1913 (subfamily Sehirinae). Therefore, the new species can easily be separated from all its African congeners. To date, Fromundus singularis (Horv��th, 1904) was the only Afrotropical species that has a similar dorsal body structure (Fig. 1A) and superficially resembles the sehirine genus Ochetostethus (see: Linnavuori 1993; Lis 1996). Nevertheless, these two species represent two different genera, and what is also essential strongly differ morphologically (what can be seen when you compare Figures 1A and 1B). Moreover, the new species differs from all its known congeners in the unique shape of the hair-like setae constituting the body chaetotaxy, which are peculiarly broadened in the apical part (Fig. 1E). This character is unknown in other species of this genus. Description: Body (Fig. 1B) ovate, relatively depressed, ventrally and dorsally opaque, entirely black or brownish-black, antennae and tarsi brown, somewhat lighter in the shade than remaining body parts. Head, pronotum and scutellum granulose, roughened with distinct large granules; hemelytra with smaller granules and numerous deep punctures. Hair-like setae on the head, the pronotal disc and the abdomen peculiarly broadened in the apical part (Fig. 1E). Head broader than long, its anterior part slightly pointed downward (Fig. 1C) what makes its anterior margins looking broadly ovate in a dorsal view (Fig. 1D); each paraclypeus with two primary hair-like setae (III, IV), and a single secondary submarginal seta; all setae peculiarly broadened in the apical part (Fig. 1E); clypeus free, a little longer than paraclypei, broadest in its mid-length, subapically without a pair of hair-like setae (Fig. 1C); eyes large, protruding, their ommatidia granulose, apical seta (VI) absent (Fig. 1C���D); ocular index 2.80���3.30; interocellar index 7.43���7.72; interocellar distance 4.33���4.42 times a distance of an ocellus from the eye; head ventral surface granulose; rostrum reaching the anterior margin of the mid-coxae (Fig. 2A). Thorax (Fig. 1B). Pronotum about 1.9���2.2 times broader than long; anterior margin deeply angularly insinuated behind the head; transverse discal impression behind calli coarse and well developed; lateral margins slightly crenulated; sublateral margins with five hair-like setae of the same shape as those on paraclypei; prosternal carina well-developed, deep; anterior and posterior convexities of propleuron coarsely punctured with large punctures, propleural depression broad. Scutellum elongated, slightly convex. Mesopleural and metapleural evaporatoria large, triangular, with many distinct, large and coarse punctures; remaining parts of pleura distinctly coarsely punctured; peritremal disc lobe-like (Fig. 2B). Corium coarsely punctured, the costal vein (C) coalescent with the subcostal vein (Sc), the cubital vein (Cu) widely separated from radial + medial (R+M) veins, the first anal vein (1A) present, the second anal vein (2A) absent; R+M and Cu distinctly elevated; costal margin somewhat crenulated, basally with a single hair-like seta of the same shape as those on paraclypei and pronotal margins; hypocostal laminae broad and coarsely punctured; membrane almost reaching the tip of the abdomen, whitish with dark veins. Metathoracic wing (Fig. 2D) with the subcostal vein (Sc) coalescent with the radial vein (R); apical branches of R and M entirely noncoalescent with each other; hamus in the radial cell absent; cross vein r-m absent; the postcubital vein (pCu) present; all three anal veins (1A, 2A, 3A) present; stridulitrum present on the basal half of the first anal vein (1A). Abdomen. Abdominal sterna more or less polished, bearing numerous large punctures; eigth tergites each with a single, broadened apically, hair-like seta. Female genital plates typical of the genus. Spermatheca (Fig. 2C) with a hemispherical, slightly mushroom-shaped receptacle; intermediate spermathecal part long and straight distally; distal and proximal flange well developed, the distal larger than the proximal; distal duct long and coiled; a dilatation-invagination narrow and elongate, somewhat pear-shaped. Legs. Anterior tibiae slightly broadened apically, laterally with numerous short spines and setae. Posterior femora with numerous short setae on margins, posterior margin with a single very small subapical blunt tubercle. Hind tibiae cylindrical in diameter with numerous short spines and setae on lateral margins. Ammianus pericarti sp. n. (Figs 1–3, 6) Etymology: This new species is dedicated to the late Jean Péricart, one of the most distinguished specialists on the European Heteroptera, and a world authority in the lace bug’s taxonomy. Diagnosis: The newly described species can be easily separated from its congeners in the Ammianus junodi group, especially by its larger body exceeding 5.20 mm of length (in A. aeneas, A. junodi and A. vanderijsti it varies from 3.50 mm to 4.50 mm), and by the broader subcostal area of hemelytron composed of five rows of areolae, being as wide as the discoidal area (the subcostal area in A. aeneas, A. junodi and A. vanderijsti is composed of 3–4 rows of areolae, and significantly narrower than the discoidal area of hemelytron). Moreover, all those species differ in the shape of the antennal tubercles; they are relatively stout, massive, and directed forwardly in A. pericarti sp. n., while in the three other species, they are delicate, very sharply ended and outwardly bent. Description: Measurements (in mm): body length 5.22; maximum body width 3.31; length of pronotum 2.25; maximum width of pronotum (paranota included) 3.12; length of hemelytron 3.47; length of discoidal area of hemelytron 1.81; length of antennal segments I–IV: 0.30, 0.12, 1.50, 0.55, respectively. General body colour pale brown and ochraceous, mottled with greyish-white and light brown. Body covered with long, pale hairs, pilosity dense on the pronotum, pronotal carinae, and the paranotal and hemelytral margins. Head short, brown with woolly pilosity, armed with five long, sharp spines: the frontal pair of spines directed horizontally, exceeding bases of the pedicel, the median spine obliquely erect, as long as the frontals, and two occipital spines, directed forward, reaching the bases of the antennae. Eyes reddish-brown, with long silvery-white hairs among ommatidia; eyes twice as broad as the frons (the synthlipsis equals 2.0). Antennal tubercles conical, not very sharp, directed forward, covered with bright hairs, slightly longer than the eyes. Antennae slender, ochraceous, the distiflagellomere embrowned apically, all segments covered with bright stiff hairs, which are 2–3 times longer than the pedicel width. Bucculae closed in front, tapering apical, strongly punctate, with four rows of punctures in their highest part. Pronotal disc convex, dark brown at the calli to pale brown on the apical part of the triangular pronotal process; pronotal disc surface strongly punctate, the triangular pronotal process areolate. Pronotal carinae almost parallel with lateral carinae relatively short, not exceeding calli, each carina composed of one row of areolae; the median carina laminate, mainly composed of one row of large areolae and with a triangular biareolate expansion (hump) behind the hood; the anterior part of the median carina touching the pronotal hood, the latter in the shape of the regular cone, composed of five rows of areolae in the highest part and without any spine at the apex. Paranota broad, areolate, their anterior margins slightly sinuate, posterior margins almost straight, lateral margins rounded and armed with six relatively short spines; each paranotum composed of eleven transverse rows of areolae. Hemelytra long, their lateral margins rounded and bearing 6–7 spines. Costal area broad, composed of 5–7 rows of areolae varied in shapes and sizes; the subcostal area relatively flat, composed of five rows of areolae, the row adjacent to the subcostal vein (Sc) formed by small areolae, then areolae became larger; discoidal area composed of five rows areolae, the vein RM flattens in its posterior part; sutural area composed of five rows of areolae. Hypocosta composed of one row of areolae basally and two rows of areolae along its remaining length. Legs slender, ochraceous, the second tarsal segment apically embrowned, claws with distinct basal denticles, tibiae bearing stiff hairs as long as a diameter of tibiae. Abdomen ventrally brown with its median part lighter, ochraceous, and covered with a few very short, silver hairs. Thoracic pleurae brown to ochraceous, strongly punctate, densely covered with long, bright hairs. Type material. Hypsipyrgias joseliae sp. n. (Figs 1–4, 7) Etymology: The new species name is derived from the first name of Jocelia Grazia, a distinguished specialist on South American Heteroptera. Diagnosis: In general habitus (Fig. 1), the new species resembles the other two species of the genus, but can easily be separated from H. telamonides by having a pronotal hood distinctly smaller (Fig. 2), not covering the anterior part of the lateral carinae in dorsal view, at most concealing the posterior part of the head. Additionally, the frontal cephalic spines of the new species are very short (Fig. 2) whereas in both, H. telamonides and H. euphues they are long, reaching the apex of the first antennal segment (Figs 5–6). In H. euphues the shape and size of the pronotal hood are very similar to the new species but it differs in the shape of hemelytra and its discoidal area, as well as in characters related to pronotum (for details, see the key for species identification). Description: Measurements (in mm): body length 3.48–3.80, maximum body width 1.10–1.25, length of pronotum 1.36–1.55, maximum width of pronotum 0.92–1.20, length of hemelytron 2.60–3.00, length of discoidal area 1.26–1.37, length of antennal segments 0.16–0.18: 0.11: 1.03–1.17: 0.38–0.44. Body (Fig. 1) oblong with lateral margins almost parallel, only slightly sinuated at the level of distal apices of discoidal areas. General color brownish; head, pronotal disc, abdomen and thoracic sterna black; cephalic spines, bucculae, sternal laminae, antennae and legs yellowish brown, fourth antennal segment and apices of tarsi dark brown to black. Body covered with short, whitish, curly hair, especially visible on the pronotal disc and the ventral side of the thorax. Head short (Fig. 3), armed with five cephalic spines, occipital spines relatively long, appressed, subparallel, dorsomedial spine very short, porrect, frontal spines short, porrect, placed very closely each other. Bucculae rounded apically, closed in front (Fig. 4), each buccula composed of three rows of tiny areolae. Antennae slender, third antennal segment about 2.5–3 times as long as the fourth, antenniferous tubercles short, obtuse. Labium surpassing posterior margin of mesosternum, sternal lamine low, uniseriate, open behind (Fig. 4). Pronotal disc convex, coarsely punctate, tricarinate, each carina composed of one row of areolae. Lateral carinae distinctly sinuated and terminating at the level of the highest point of pronotal disc (Fig. 1). Median carina fusioning with the pronotal cyst (hood). Pronotal cyst as high as its width, pyriform, not covering the head, composed of relatively large, polygonal areolae (Fig. 2). Triangular pronotal projection areolate, without any tumid area at apex. Paranota composed of four rows of areolae at their widest part, three inner rows of polygonal areolae raised, outer row reflexed, resting on the pronotal surface, composed of regular, trapezoidal areolae. Collar composed of two rows of areolae. Hemelytra (Fig. 1) long, their lateral margins slightly sinuated, costal area composed of one row of relatively large, rectangular areolae, subcostal area narrow, almost vertical, composed of two rows of small, rounded areolae, discoidal area more than twice shorter than hemelytron, composed of seven to eight rows of areolae, sutural area composed of five to six rows of large areolae, hypocosta uniseriate. Simple Summary: Lace bugs (Tingidae) are known for their spectacular bodily appearance; the pronotum and hemelytra of the adult specimens are lacelike, with a delicate network of areolae that resemble lace. The species are phytophagous and always feed on a specific plant or groups of closely related plants. Therefore, they are recognised as mono- or oligophagous bugs, whose feeding activities may cause significant injury to plant pods and leaves. Lace bugs are distributed worldwide and reported in all continents except Antarctica. Although most of the lace bug species are distributed in a particular zoogeographical region, some genera are widely known from the Holarctic region. However, species with a Palaeotropical distribution are scarce. In this study, based on new records and ecological niche modelling, we indicate that Recaredus rex, one of the most enigmatic lace bugs, has a possible Palaeotropical distribution. Moreover, we hypothesise that R. rex is an oligo- or polyphagous species. In addition, the systematic position of the genus Recaredus is discussed. The systematic position and actual distribution of Recaredus rex, for a long time one of the most enigmatic lace bug genus and species, is very obscure because only the type specimen and three other individuals from India are known to date. In the present paper, we report the first records of R. rex from the Palaearctic region (Iran) and tropical Africa (Ghana). Based on the occurrence localities and climatic variables, we predict potentially useful ecological niches for this species using Maxent software. The areas with the best environmental conditions for R. rex indicated in our studies suggest its possible Palaeotropical distribution. Moreover, we regard these results as a good starting point for further searches for specimens of this species. This might help verify the hypothesis of the broad Palaeotropical distribution of R. rex and its oligo- or polyphagy. In addition, the lace bug genus Recaredus, based on the diagnostic characteristics provided for the tribe Acalyptaini, and the structure of aedeagus, is transferred from the tribe Ypsotingini to the Acalyptaini. This article presents two new records of Sthenarus rotermundi (Scholtz, 1847) in Poland, i.e., Warsaw (Mazowiecka Lowland), and Brzeg (Lower Silesia), with a summary on distribution of this species in our country. Detailed photos of several morphological characters of this species are included, namely the colour pattern of hind femur, shape of the head and tylus, hemelytral pilosity, and a shape of aedeagus. Moreover, the validity of some morphological characters used in widely available keys for separation of S. rotermundi and Salicarius roseri (Herrich-Schaeffer, 1838) are discussed. Both, morphological illustrations and remarks, are presented in order to make the identification of mentioned taxa easier and reliable.

Berytinus (Berytinus) hirticornis hirticornis (Brull��, 1836) Berytus hirticornis: Smreczyński 1906b: 53, 1908: 71; Scholz 1931: 155. Berytus trichocerus: Scholtz 1847: 151. Range element (for all subspecies together): Kirghisian- Atlantic. Bionomics: Mesophilous/xerotermophilous; polyphagous; one generation a year. R e m a r k s: Very rare in Poland. Identification of the specimens (deposited in the Museum of Natural History ISEA PAS in Krak��w) from Rząska (Krakowsko- Wieluńska Upland) and from Przemyśl (Western Beskidy Mts), was verified and confirmed. This species is known only from very old records in our country, moreover it is a very rare species in the territory of Slovakia and unknown in Moravia (Stehl��k & Vavř��nov�� 1995), therefore its occurrence in Poland needs confirmation. Ecological niche modelling and first records from Namibia and Zimbabwe validate the amphi-equatorial distribution of Byrsinus pseudosyriacus (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Cydnidae) The genus I Byrsinus i Fieber, 1860 belongs to the tribe Geotomini in the subfamily Cydninae of the family Cydnidae (sensu Pluot-Sigwalt & Lis, 2008; and Lis et al., 2017). Moreover, the distance of the new localities in Namibia and Zimbabwe to the Equator is almost the same as the Equator's distance to the species northernmost site. At present, 26 species are classified within Byrsinus (Dusoulier & Lupoli, 2015; Lis, 1999, 2001, 2003) including a single Oriental species, four representatives in the Australian Region, 17 species in the Palearctic and four Afrotropical species, namely I B i . Dichrooscytus gustavi differs from D. rufipennis and D. intermedius primarily by a smaller size of the body and the entirely green scutellum. Its occurrence has been confirmed so far in more than ten European countries, where it was reported to live on Juniperus communis L. and also on different introduced species of Cupressaceae. In this note the first locality of this species in Poland is presented. Moreover, the authors explain a reason why D. valesianus [= at present D. gustavi] was removed from the list of species occurring in Poland (in the 2011’s Catalogue of Miridae of Poland), and suggest a possibility of the presence of D. gustavi in Poland as early as the first half of the 20th century (reported by Strawiński as D. valesianus).

Oxycarenus lavaterae (Fabricius, 1787), the invasive true bug species, were recorded from Poland for the first time in 2014 (SE Poland, Rzeszów; Hebda & Olbrycht, 2016). Since that time it was recorded also in Cieszyn (Western Beskid Mts) and Brzeg (Lower Silesia) in August 2018 (Gierlasiński et al., 2018). In October, November and December 2018 and January 2019, many new populations of this species were reported in south-west regions of Poland (Lower Silesia: Jawor, Legnica, Nysa, Opole, Oława, Racibórz, Świdnica, Wrocław; Upper Silesia: Zdzieszowice) what confirms the species expansion to the north of Poland.

This paper presents the history of research on terrestrial true-bugs (Hemiptera: Heteroptera) in Poland, the current state of knowledge and perspectives in future faunistic studies in our country. Cimex lectularius was the first species of Heteroptera recorded from the present territory of Poland; it was listed in „Theriotropheum Silesiae” by Caspar Schwenkfeld (1603) from Silesia. In the XIXth century the number of Heteroptera species records from the present territory of Poland increased rapidly, mainly due to the faunistic studies by both, German (Weigel 1806; Schilling 1827, 1837; Gravenhorst 1836; Siebold 1839; Scholtz 1847; Schramm 1848; Assmann 1854) and Polish (Gorski 1852; Waga 1857; Nowicki 1864, 1865, 1867, 1868, 1870a, b; Łomnicki 1882; Stobiecki 1883; Kotula 1890) entomologists. Till the end of the XIXth century, 438 species of terrestrial Heteroptera have been recorded from the present territory of Poland; all those records are presented in the Fig. 1. In the first half of the twentieth century, faunistic studies on the terrestrial Heteroptera in Poland have also been conducted predominantly by German entomologists (Kuhlgatz 1901, Enderlein 1906, Stichel 1923, Laske 1928, Schmidt 1928, Gruhl 1929, Scholz 1931, Schubert 1934, Karl 1935, Engel i Hedicke 1936, Michalk 1936, Pax 1937, Lanzke i Polentz 1942), but papers by the Polish authors have also been published (Smreczyński 1906, Szulczewski 1908, Stobiecki 1915, Krasucki 1916, Tenenbaum 1921, Strawiński 1926, Ruszkowski 1933, Obarski 1938). Till 1945 the number of Heteroptera species recorded from the present territory of Poland increased to 578 with many new records from the regions not studied before (Fig. 2). In the second half of the XXth century the first keys for the identification of Polish Heteroptera (Wróblewski 1968; Cmoluchowa 1978), and the first comprehensive faunistic reviews of several true-bugs families (Lis J.A. 1990a, b) have been published what had a great impact on further development of faunistic studies in Poland. The XXth century has ended with 673 species of terrestrial Heteroptera recorded from Poland, and the number of known Polish records has doubled in comparison to the year 1945 (till that year we have about 9 800 records, whereas till the end of the XXth century – about 18400 records: see Fig. 3 and Fig. 5). The beginning of the XXI century brings the data growth of further 11000 records (Fig. 4) and several species recorded in our country for the first time (Fig. 6). At present, the best investigated regions are, as follows: several cities and their surroundings (Cracow, Wrocław, Bytom, Poznań, Przemyśl, Zwierzyniec, Puławy), Białowieża Primeval Forest, Ojców National Park, Pieniny Mountains, Gorce Mountains, Bukowa Góra reserve, and Bielinek on the Odra River reserve (Fig. 7). However, only 3% of the territory of Poland are very well studied, since only in 82 UTM squares (out of almost 3400) at least 100 Heteroptera species have been recorded, so far. Moreover, at least one species has been recorded in 1200 UTM squares (it is about one third of the Polish UTM squares). Although faunistic studies are very important from many points of view and are the basis for zoocenology, zoogeography, or phylogeography, their traditions in Poland are not as well established as in other European countries. Comprehensive nature of such studies, including a necessity of involving many specialists and the lack of time and resources to cover the entire country area, makes them not very popular in Poland. Therefore, the citizen science initiatives in Polish Heteroptera defined as “the collection and analysis of data by non-professional entomologists as part of a collaborative project with professional scientists” would be a great opportunity to gather more new faunistic data from our country. Moreover, the citizen science would be also very important in early detection of alien Heteroptera pest species introduced to our country.

The genus Psallus Fieber, 1858 is represented in the Palaearctic Region by more than 120 species, and is regarded as a non-monophyletic taxon. Species in this genus are usually small; their body length not exceeds 6.0 mm, and never are green (a body colour is from black to brown, red and yellow). They are zoophytophagous, and most of them overwinter in the egg stage and are univoltine. 23 species of the genus have been reported from Poland so far. This note presents the second localities for two Psallus species, i.e., Psallus albicinctus and P. pseudoplatani in Poland, both from the Western Beskid Mts.

Chilocoris serratus new species Etymology. The species is named after the serrated lateral margins of the pronotum and hemelytra. Diagnosis. As suggested by its name, the new species differs from all other Afrotropical representatives of the genus by the serrated margins of pronotum and hemelytra (Figs. 1, 3��� 4). In these characters, it is somewhat similar to the Australian Ch. centrostephoides J.A. Lis, 1999 and Malaysian Ch. costatus J.A. Lis, 1994. However, the newly described species can be easily separated from both those species by better developed serration of the lateral margins of the pronotum and hemelytrae (Ch. centrostephoides bears only a single distinct denticle on each lateral margin of the pronotum, and its costal margins are normally developed; in Ch. costatus, only the costal margins are serrated, whereas the lateral pronotal margins are normally developed). Description. Body: dark brown, dorsally polished, almost concolorous (Fig. 1); corium slightly translucent, and a little paler than the head and pronotum. Head. Dorsally evenly coarsely punctured, except for impunctate clypeus; the latter broad and as long as paraclypei, basally and apically narrowed, somewhat elevated and broadened in its midlength; clypeal submargin with a pair of dark brown, long and apically slightly sharpened pegs (Fig. 2); paraclypei each with a submarginal row of six more or less sharply ended pegs; eyes large, pale brown, ocular index 3.3; ocelli pale brown, ocellar index 3.7, interocellar distance about six times larger than the distance between the ocellus and the eye; antennae slightly yellowish brown, paler than the head, second segment minute, three times shorter than the third, the latter almost equals the fourth segment, the fifth segment longest, about 1.4 times longer than the fourth segment; rostrum pale brown, almost reaching the midcoxae. Prothorax. Pronotum (Figs. 1, 3) slightly tapering anterad; pronotal disc with an anterior submarginal line and a transverse row of large coarse punctures behind the callal areas; anterior lobe impunctate on calli, and with several large coarse punctures laterally and medially; posterior lobe with numerous irregularly scattered large coarse punctures; pronotal umbones distinctly swollen and impunctate apically; lateral margins distinctly carinated and serrated, and with three setigerous punctures bearing long hair-like setae; one additional seta also present on the lateral part of the anterior submarginal line, on each side. Propleuron castaneous, polished; anterior and posterior convexities impunctate, median depression with single almost invisible colorless punctures close to the coxae. Mesothorax. Scutellum (Fig. 1) with easily visible basal and lateral rows of punctures, the lateral ones each accompanied by an impressed line in the basal half, scutellar disc almost evenly coarsely punctured, punctures as large as or a little larger than those on the pronotum and corium. Clavus with a single incomplete row of coarse punctures; mesocorium with two rows of coarse punctures paralleling the clavo-corial suture and with almost evenly spaced punctures in its posterior third; exocorium sparsely punctured in its posterior part and with rows of coarse punctures along the R+M vein and along the exo-mesocorium suture. Costal margins serrated in its basal third (Figs. 1, 4), bearing no setigerous punctures; membrane translucent, embrowned, slightly surpassing the tip of the abdomen. Mesopleuron with evaporatorium typical of the genus. Legs pale brown, tibial spines dark brown, hind tibiae somewhat flattened, tarsi yellowish brown with brown claws. Abdomen. Sterna brown, polished and impunctate, except for scattered tiny punctures bearing short, shiny hair-like bristles. Female genital plates mutilated. Measurements (in mm): body length 2.83; body width 1.55; head length 0.43; head width 0.57; pronotum length 0.85; pronotum width 1.51; scutellum length 0.75; scutellum width 0.99; antennal segments: 0.15: 0.07: 0.21: 0.20: 0.28.
