Abstract

Doel van het project Functional Fitness Monitor (FFM) was het ontwikkelen van een innovatieve combinatie van test-, meet- en gedragsbeïnvloedings-technologie voor werknemers met fysiek en mentaal zware beroepen. De samenwerkende Groningse MKB-bedrijven en kennisinstanties beogen een prototype van een geïntegreerd meet-, feedback- en begeleidingspakket te ontwikkelen waarmee duurzame, functionele fitheid wordt bevorderd. Het is bij uitstek bedoeld voor mensen met een fysiek veeleisend beroep, waarvoor een fitheidseis geldt, zoals bij brandweer, politie, defensie en in de beveiligingsbranche. Met het innovatieve product, de Functional Fitness Monitor (FFM), kunnen deze professionals tot op hogere leeftijd effectief worden ingezet. In de Functional Fitness Monitor wordt bestaande test- en meettechnologie gecombineerd met speciaal te ontwikkelen digitale, (neuro-science based) feedback- en (e-)coachingsmodules. De ontwikkelde methodiek wordt in een veldtest bij circa 60 brandweerlieden getest. Opschaling richting andere fysiek veeleisende beroepen, zoals bij politie, defensie, zorg, bouw en in de beveiligingsbranche is in de toekomst mogelijk.(dit project is mede mogelijk gemaakt door het Samenwerkingsverband Noord Nederland, Koers Noord en de provincie Groningen, Innovatief Actieprogramma Groningen-4).

Tijdens de jaarlijkse onderwijsdag is een nieuw concept voor de gezonde school gepresenteerd. Hierbij gaat het om een drieweg aanpak tijdens, tussen en na de lessen. Zowel het gedrag van de leerlingen, leerkachten als de omgeving en het onderwijs wordt veranderd om te voldoen aan een gezondere onderwijsinstelling.
