The angular dependence of the transverse and vortex modes in a magnetic nanotube is investigated as a function of the tube geometry, by means of analytical calculations and numerical simulations. A critical radius defining the transition between vortex and transverse reversal modes is determined, leading to low or high coercivity modes just by varying the direction of the external field, in a fixed nanotube. The magnetic switching of ferromagnetic nanotubes is investigated as a function of their geometry. Two independent methods are used: Numerical simulations and analytical calculations. It is found that for long tubes the reversal of magnetization is achieved by two mechanisms: The propagation of a transverse domain wall or propagation of a vortex domain wall depending on the internal and external radii of the tube. In this work we performed a detailed numerical analysis on the static and dynamic properties of magnetic antidot arrays as a function of their geometry. In particular, we explored how by varying the shape of these antidot arrays from circular holes to stadium-shaped holes, we can effectively control the magnetic properties of the array. Using micromagnetic simulations we evidenced that coercivity is very sensitive to the shape of antidots, while the remanence is more robust to these changes. Furthermore, we studied the dynamic susceptibility of these systems, finding that it is possible to control both the position and the number of resonance peaks simply by changing the geometry of the holes. Thus, this work provides useful insights on the behavior of antidot arrays for different geometries, opening routes for the design and improvement of two-dimensional technologies. The magnetic structure of nanorings consisting of alternate layers of magnetic and nonmagnetic materials is investigated as a function of their geometry. Phase diagrams giving the relative stability of characteristic internal magnetic configurations of the rings are obtained. Attention is focused on the condition for occurrence of the vortex configurations, in which case the layered structure might be used to produce magnetoresistive random access memories. In this paper we obtain analytical expressions for the magnetostatic interaction between cylindrical particles based on the assumption of a fixed uniform magnetization. Magnetostatic forces between the particles are established by these interactions. These general expressions allow the investigation of the magnetostatic interactions and forces between cylindrically shaped particles with different geometrical parameters like barcode-type magnetic nanostructures, multilayer nanotubes and nanowires, nanoparticles with modulated diameter, the ordering of nanoparticles on fluids, and others. Abstract: Elliptical and stadium-shaped nanoparticles as a function of their geometry have been investigated using numerical simulations. The effect of the shape anisotropy of the particles on coercivity and remanence together with the angular dependence of the remanence and coercivity are addressed. Our results demonstrate that the stadium-shaped particles have many of the outstanding properties of elliptical particles, but also have unique properties, such that the coercivity and remanence remain stable for a wide range of geometry parameters, and exhibit a peculiar angular dependence in the coercivity. Abstract: The magnetic properties in multisegmented cylindrical nanostructures comprised of nanowire and nanotube segments are investigated numerically as a function of their geometry. In this work we report systematic changes in the coercivity and remanence in these systems. Besides, we have found the ideal conditions for a magnetic configuration with two antiparallel domains that could be used to help to stabilize magnetic nanoparticles inside ferromagnetic multisegmented cylindrical nanoparticles. This magnetic behavior is due to the fact that the tube segment reverses its magnetization before the wire segment, allowing the control of the magnetic domain walls motion between two segments.
