Data on the U–Pb (SIMS SHRIMP-II) age (3628 ± 38 and 2845 ± 65 Ma) of zircon from the inclusion of mafic granulite in gneiss–enderbites of the Bug complex in Ukraine are obtained. A zircon age of 3628 ± 38 Ma for the first time has allowed us to identify the occurrence of basic magmatism at the Paleo- and Eoarchean boundary in the Bug region. The age of 2845 ± 65 Ma dates the imposed metamorphism manifested everywhere in the Bug region that led to considerable amphibolization and partial melting of the rock. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The article presents a study regarding Uranium-Lead (U-Pb) dating of Zircon from the Chelyabinsk meteorite. Topics include Distribution of rare elements in zircon from the Chelyabinsk meteorite; ,processes that resulted in the formation of zircon grains in the meteorite with the different concentrations of rare and rare earth elements and with the different oxygen isotope compositions; and effect of repeated impacts of the meteorite parental body with other objects on zircon formation.

The article presents a study that was conducted to analyze the age (U-Pb, Sm-Nd) of garnetites from Salma eclogites of the Belomorian mobile belt. It studied the body of eclogites in the area of Salma eclogites. It informs that garnetite contains garnet porphyroblasts, amphibole and ore mineral. It mentions that the formation of garnetite occurs as a result of metamorphic differentiation from active infiltration of fluid and metasomatism with the formation of a metasomatic column. The article presents a study which investigates the geochemistry and U― Pb age estimation of Zircons in the Salma Eclogites discovered at the eastern part of Belomorian mobile belt (BMB) in Kola Peninsula, Russia. The study made use of two eclogite metamorphism with ages of 2.72 and 2.82 for the interpretation of the granulite metamorphism age and the absence of the eclogite metamorphism through the use of scanning electron microscope. The result of the study indicates that the two types of the Salma eclogites contain zircon crystals rims and grains with typical geochemical characteristics. Moreover, it adds that the age estimation of the eclogite crystallization with the youngest geological process was found in the eclogite region.

A description of hydrothermal allanite-(Y) and its unique association with allanite-(Ce) from tourmaline metasomatic rock of the Severny granite massif in Chukotka is presented in the article. Examination of the composition of metasomatic rims in allanite-(Y) allowed us to estimate the limit of isomorphic replacement in allanite of Y and heavy lanthanides by LREE, reaching 25%.
