Background and Objective. Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor that seriously threatens the health of women in my country and even around the world. The proliferation marker Ki-67 has been utilized to distinguish luminal B from luminal A tumors and is a reliable indicator of more aggressive breast cancer growth. If a reliable prediction method for breast cancer patients to avoid invasive damage can be found to predict Ki-67 before pathological examination, it will be very beneficial for doctors to formulate later treatment plans and provide more useful treatment options. Methodology. This paper proposes a tumor segmentation and prediction framework based on the combination of improved attention U-Net and SVM. The framework first improves on attention U-Net by introducing coefficients for learning multidimensional attention. Make the attention mechanism more aware of the main situation in the segmentation process. At the same time, the segmented breast MRI results and corresponding labels were input into the SVM classifier to accurately predict the expression of Ki-67. Results. The DSC, PPV, and sensitivity of our combined model are 0.94, 0.93, and 0.94, respectively, with better segmentation performance. And we compare with the segmentation frameworks of other papers and find that our combined model can make accurate segmentation of breast tumors. Conclusion. Our method can adapt to the variability of breast tumors and segment breast tumors accurately and efficiently. In the future, it can be widely used in clinical practice, so as to help the clinic better formulate a reasonable diagnosis and treatment plan for breast cancer patients.

Background: Adverse events of special interest (AESIs) were pre-specified to be monitored for the COVID-19 vaccines. Some AESIs are not only associated with the vaccines, but with COVID-19. Our aim was to characterise the incidence rates of AESIs following SARS-CoV-2 infection in patients and compare these to historical rates in the general population. Methods: A multi-national cohort study with data from primary care, electronic health records, and insurance claims mapped to a common data model. This study's evidence was collected between Jan 1, 2017 and the conclusion of each database (which ranged from Jul 2020 to May 2022). The 16 pre-specified prevalent AESIs were: acute myocardial infarction, anaphylaxis, appendicitis, Bell's palsy, deep vein thrombosis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, encephalomyelitis, Guillain- Barré syndrome, haemorrhagic stroke, non-haemorrhagic stroke, immune thrombocytopenia, myocarditis/pericarditis, narcolepsy, pulmonary embolism, transverse myelitis, and thrombosis with thrombocytopenia. Age-sex standardised incidence rate ratios (SIR) were estimated to compare post-COVID-19 to pre-pandemic rates in each of the databases. Findings: Substantial heterogeneity by age was seen for AESI rates, with some clearly increasing with age but others following the opposite trend. Similarly, differences were also observed across databases for same health outcome and age-sex strata. All studied AESIs appeared consistently more common in the post-COVID-19 compared to the historical cohorts, with related meta-analytic SIRs ranging from 1.32 (1.05 to 1.66) for narcolepsy to 11.70 (10.10 to 13.70) for pulmonary embolism. Interpretation: Our findings suggest all AESIs are more common after COVID-19 than in the general population. Thromboembolic events were particularly common, and over 10-fold more so. More research is needed to contextualise post-COVID-19 complications in the longer term. Funding: None.

The presence of 3-monochloropropanediol esters (3-MCPDE), 2-monochloropropanediol esters (2-MCPDE) and glycidyl esters (GE) in infant formula products has raised serious concerns. They incorporate vegetable oils, particularly palm-based oils, which are well-known to contain large amounts of these process contaminants. An analysis was conducted on infant formula samples (n = 16) obtained from the Malaysian market to determine the levels of 3-MCPDE, 2-MCPDE and GE using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The method was validated, with a limit of quantification (LOQ) on instrument of 0.10 µg/g for all analytes. The median concentrations of 3-MCPDE, 2-MCPDE and GE in infant formula in this study were 0.008 µg/g, 0.003 µg/g and 0.002 µg/g respectively. The estimated dietary intakes calculated from consumption of infant formula show higher exposures to infants within the age group of 0 to 5 months, highest for GE (1.61 µg/kg bw/day), followed by 3-MCPDE (0.68 µg/kg bw/day) and 2-MCPDE (0.41 µg/kg bw/day) compared to the age group of 6 to 12 months. Only one sample, relating to GE exposure is a potential risk for both age groups with MOE value below 25,000.

BACKGROUND Coronary heart disease (CHD) causes many adverse cardiovascular events and poses a threat to the patient’s health and quality of life. AIM To evaluate ultrasonography for evaluation of cardiac function and lesion degree in patients with CHD. METHODS A total of 106 patients with CHD (study group) and 106 healthy individuals (control group) in our hospital from March 2019 to September 2020 were selected for this study. All subjects were examined by ultrasound, and the mitral orifice’s early-to-late diastolic blood flow velocity ratio (E/A), left ventricular end-diastolic volume (LVDd), and left atrial diameter (LAD) were measured. Values were compared between the study group and healthy group, and the correlation between the ultrasonic parameters of patients with different cardiac function grades and the degree of CHD were assessed. In addition, the ultrasonic parameters of patients with different prognoses were compared after a follow-up for 6 mo. RESULTS E/A (1.46 ± 0.34) of the study group was smaller than that of the control group (1.88 ± 0.44), while LVDd (58.24 ± 5.05 mm) and LAD (43.31 ± 4.38 mm) were larger (48.15 ± 3.93 and 34.94 ± 2.81, respectively; P < 0.05). E/A for patients with grade III disease (1.41 ± 0.43) was smaller and their LVDd (60.04 ± 4.21 mm) and LA (44.16 ± 2.79 mm) were larger than those in patients with grade II disease (1.71 ± 0.48, 52.18 ± 3.67 mm, and 39.68 ± 2.37, respectively; P < 0.05). Patients with grade IV disease had smaller E/A (1.08 ± 0.39) and larger LVDd (66.81 ± 5.39 mm) and LAD (48.81 ± 3.95 mm) than patients with grade II and III disease (P < 0.05). In patients with moderate disease, E/A (1.44 ± 0.41) was smaller and LVDd (59.95 ± 4.14 mm) and LAD (45.15 ± 2.97 mm) were larger than in patients with mild disease (1.69 ± 0.50, 51.97 ± 3.88 and 38.81 ± 2.56 mm, respectively; P < 0.05). In patients with severe disease, E/A (1.13 ± 0.36) was smaller and LVDd (67.70 ± 6.11 mm) and LAD (49.09 ± 4.05 mm) were larger than in patients with moderate disease (P < 0.05). E/A was negatively correlated with cardiac function classification and disease severity, while LVDd and LAD were positively correlated with cardiac function classification and disease severity (P < 0.05). E/A (1.83 ± 0.51) for patients with good prognosis was higher than that for those with poor prognosis (1.39 ± 0.32), while LVDd (49.60 ± 4.39 mm) and LAD (36.13 ± 3.05 mm) were lower (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION The ultrasonic parameters of patients with CHD are abnormal, and differ significantly in patients with different cardiac function grades, lesion degree, and prognosis.

Bacteria community provides essential ecological services to rice plants. The bacterial diversity of rice varies across host plant genotype and organs. This study employed 16S rDNA amplicon sequencing to characterise the bacterial community associated with three rice landraces using leaf blade and stem samples. The prokaryotic community found in these rice landraces comprised of two kingdoms, 12 phyla, 25 classes, 40 orders, 80 families, and 118 genera. Proteobacteria (53.9%) was the most abundant phylum. The most abundant genus was an undefined genus under Cyanobacteria (33.0%). Homogeneity of prokaryotic community was observed across the three rice landraces, which may suggest a high similarity in biological and genetical properties of the rice landraces. The difference in prokaryotic composition between leaf blade and stem was depicted based on principal coordinate analysis. This study observed that the prokaryotic inhabitants in rice plants is predominantly determined by rice plant organs.

Background. Breast cancer is a kind of cancer that starts in the epithelial tissue of the breast. Breast cancer has been on the rise in recent years, with a younger generation developing the disease. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) plays an important role in breast tumor detection and treatment planning in today’s clinical practice. As manual segmentation grows more time-consuming and the observed topic becomes more diversified, automated segmentation becomes more appealing. Methodology. For MRI breast tumor segmentation, we propose a CNN-SVM network. The labels from the trained convolutional neural network are output using a support vector machine in this technique. During the testing phase, the convolutional neural network’s labeled output, as well as the test grayscale picture, is passed to the SVM classifier for accurate segmentation. Results. We tested on the collected breast tumor dataset and found that our proposed combined CNN-SVM network achieved 0.93, 0.95, and 0.92 on DSC coefficient, PPV, and sensitivity index, respectively. We also compare with the segmentation frameworks of other papers, and the comparison results prove that our CNN-SVM network performs better and can accurately segment breast tumors. Conclusion. Our proposed CNN-SVM combined network achieves good segmentation results on the breast tumor dataset. The method can adapt to the differences in breast tumors and segment breast tumors accurately and efficiently. It is of great significance for identifying triple-negative breast cancer in the future.

The precise movement of the maxilla is particularly important for orthognathic surgery, especially for patients with maxillary segmentation. In this preliminary study, the authors present a new tooth bone combined with a supporting osteotomy guide and positioning guide to guide the osteotomy and reduction of the maxilla. Through our preoperative simulation and postoperative image fusion, the authors found that the overlapping area is more than 90%. According to compare of the virtual plans and the postoperative results based on distances from the maxillary land- marks to the horizontal plane, sagittal plane, and coronal plane, the surgical error was about 2mm. Our T-shaped guide provides a reliable method for patients with maxillary segmental osteotomy, which may be a useful alternative to the intermediate.

Objective To investigate the use of repurposed and adjuvant drugs in patients admitted to hospital with covid-19 across three continents. Design Multinational network cohort study. Setting Hospital electronic health records from the United States, Spain, and China, and nationwide claims data from South Korea. Participants 303 264 patients admitted to hospital with covid-19 from January 2020 to December 2020. Main outcome measures Prescriptions or dispensations of any drug on or 30 days after the date of hospital admission for covid-19. Results Of the 303 264 patients included, 290 131 were from the US, 7599 from South Korea, 5230 from Spain, and 304 from China. 3455 drugs were identified. Common repurposed drugs were hydroxychloroquine (used in from Conclusions Multiple drugs were used in the first few months of the covid-19 pandemic, with substantial geographical and temporal variation. Hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, lopinavir-ritonavir, and umifenovir (in China only) were the most prescribed repurposed drugs. Antithrombotics, antibiotics, H2 receptor antagonists, and corticosteroids were often used as adjunctive treatments. Research is needed on the comparative risk and benefit of these treatments in the management of covid-19.

Heatstroke is a life-threatening illness that is characterised by a core body temperature >40°C and central nervous system dysfunction. Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a common complication of heatstroke, and the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway has been demonstrated to be one of the leading causes of tissue damage and cell death in AKI. Curcumin is a phenol that is extracted from turmeric and demonstrates anti-apoptotic properties. To test if curcumin can protect the kidney from injury caused by heat stress, the effect of curcumin administration on renal injury and apoptosis of renal tissue was examined in a rat model of dry-heat environment. A total of 50 Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into five groups (n=10): Standard temperature control, dry-heat control and curcumin treatment groups (50, 100 and 200 mg/kg groups). After exposure to a dry-heat environment for 150 min, the rats were anesthetized and euthanized. Blood, urine and renal tissue were collected to quantify the expression of specific mitochondrial apoptosis-related molecules. Curcumin pre-treatment decreased blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine, urinary kidney injury molecule-1, and neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin levels compared with the dry-heat control group. Curcumin was also revealed to downregulate c-Jun N-terminal kinases (JNK), cytochrome c, caspase-3 and caspase-9 expression upon treatment with 100 and 200 mg/kg curcumin, which may result in inhibition of the mitochondrial apoptotic pathway in renal cells. The current study revealed that Curcumin may to have potential for preventing heatstroke-induced AKI.

Curcumin exhibits anti‐inflammatory and antioxidant activities. We investigated the protective effects of curcumin in a renal injury rat model under dry‐heat conditions. We divided Sprague‐Dawley rats into four groups: dry‐heat 0‐ (normal temperature control group), 50‐, 100‐, and 150‐minute groups. Each group was divided into five subgroups (n = 10): normal saline (NS), sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMCNa), and curcumin pretreated low, medium, and high‐dose (50, 100, and 200 mg/kg, respectively) groups. Cytochrome c is a small water-soluble protein that is abundantly found in the mitochondrial intermembrane space of microorganism, plants and mammalians. Ionic liquids (ILs)–based aqueous two-phase electrophoresis system (ATPES) was introduced in this study to investigate the partition efficiency of cytochrome c to facilitate subsequent development of two-phase electrophoresis for the separation of cytochrome c from microbial fermentation. The 1-Hexyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide, (C6mim)Br and potassium citrate salt were selected as the phase-forming components. Effects of phase composition; position of electrodes; pH and addition of neutral salt on the partition efficiency of cytochrome c in the ATPES were evaluated. Highest partition coefficient (K = 179.12 ± 0.82) and yield of cytochrome c in top phase (YT = 99.63% ± 0.00) were recorded with IL/salt ATPES composed of 30% (w/w) (C6mim)Br and 20% (w/w) potassium citrate salt of pH 7 and 3.0% (w/w) NaCl addition with anode at the bottom phase and cathode at the top phase. The SDS-PAGE profile revealed that cytochrome c with a molecular weight of 12 kDa was preferably partitioned to the IL-rich top phase. Present findings suggested that the single-step ATPES is a potential separation approach for the recovery of cytochrome c from microbial fermentation.

Objective To explore the possible correlation between uric acid levels and leukoaraiosis (LA). Methods This cross-sectional study enrolled patients who presented with some neurological discomfort (e.g. dizziness, headache, mild cognitive impairment). Potential demographic and clinical risk factors associated with LA, including sex, age, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, smoking, alcohol consumption, dyslipidaemia, plasma fibrinogen, D-dimer, uric acid, and homocysteine, were investigated using univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses. Results A total of 268 patients were enrolled in the study and divided into the LA group ( n = 164) and the non-LA group ( n = 104). Compared with the non-LA group, uric acid was significantly higher in the LA group (mean ± SD: 356.49 ± 121.85 µmol/l versus 289.96 ± 102.98 µmol/l). Multivariate logistic regression analyses showed that uric acid was an independent risk factor for LA (odds ratio 1.285; 95% confidence interval 1.062, 1.556). Conclusion Hyperuricaemia was an independent risk factor for leukoaraiosis in Chinese patients.

Reversed micellar system (RMS) is an innovative technique used for the isolation, extraction and purification of proteins and enzymes. Studies have demonstrated that RMS is an efficient purification technology for extracting proteins and enzymes from natural plant materials or fermentation broth. Lately, reverse micelles have wider biological applications and the ease of scaling up and the possibility for the continuous process have made RMS a vital purification technique in various fields. In this study, an extensive review of RMS with the current application in biotechnology is examined. This review provides insights into the fundamental principles, key variables and parameters of RMS. In addition, a comparative study of RMS with other liquid-liquid extraction techniques is also included. The present review aims to provide a general overview of RMS by summarising the research works, since the introduction of the technology to current development.

The high temperature deformation behavior of 2101 duplex stainless steel has been investigated in the temperature ranges of 900-1150°C and strain rate ranges of 0.001-1s-1. Increasing strain rate from 0.001 to 1s-1 was contributed to austenite dynamic recrystallization (DRX) of specimens with deformation temperature of 900°C, but the DRX effect was weakened due to coarsening of equiaxial grains by increasing deformation temperature to 1050 and 1150°C. The effect of ferrite dynamic recovery (DRV) was enhanced with deformation temperature from 900 to 1050°C, then which was weakened with further increasing deformation temperature to 1150°C. By regression, the deformation equation and activity energy of 457.93 kJ/mol in these deformation conditions was obtained.

ObjectivePesticide poisoning is a global health problem, and its progressive deterioration is a major cause of concern. The objective of this study is to assess epidemiological characteristics and identify risk factors of pesticide poisoning in Malaysia.SettingPesticide poisoning database of Malaysia National Poison Centre (NPC) from 2006 to 2015.ParticipantsTelephone enquiries regarding pesticide poisoning were made by healthcare professionals. Information received by the NPC was entered into a retrievable database of standardised Poison Case Report Form, as adapted from the World Health Organization (WHO).OutcomesThe outcome of the study is to provide an overview of national epidemiological profile of pesticide poisoning. High-risk groups of people and their circumstances were also identified to ensure that appropriate measures are strategised.ResultsWithin the study period, a total of 11 087 pesticide poisoning cases were recorded. Sixty per cent of these cases were intentional in nature and most were found among male individuals (57%) of the Indian race (36.4%) aged between 20 and 29 years (25.5%), which occurred at home (90%) through the route of ingestion (94%). The highest number of poisoning was due to herbicides (44%) followed by agricultural insecticides (34%), rodenticides (9.9%), household insecticides (9.5%) and fungicides (0.5%). In addition, 93.6% of intentional pesticide poisoning cases were caused by suicide attempts. The results of this study show that there was an increasing trend in pesticide poisoning incidents over the 10-year duration. This indicates that pesticide poisoning is a prevalent public health problem in Malaysia, resulting in an average incidence rate of 3.8 per 100 000 population.ConclusionsDeliberate pesticide ingestion as a method of suicide has become a disturbing trend among Malaysians. Therefore, regulation of highly hazardous pesticides must be enforced to ensure controlled and limited access to these chemicals by the public.

To determine whether uric acid (UA) and intracranial and extracranial atherosclerosis stenosis of elderly patients suffering from ischaemic stroke are inter-related. Elderly patients with ischaemic stroke underwent computed tomography angiography (CTA) were enrolled between October 2015 and December 2017. We collected clinical assessment, image data, and laboratory tests, and divided patients into four groups: (1) intracranial stenosis atherosclerosis (ICAS) group, (2) combined intracranial and extracranial atherosclerosis stenosis (COAS) group, (3) extracranial carotid stenosis atherosclerosis (ECAS) group, and (4) non-cerebral stenosis atherosclerosis (NCAS) group. We used univariate and multiple logistic regression analyses to explore potential predictors. We included 408 patients in this study, then divided them into elder group (n = 196) and young- and middle-aged group (n = 212). In old stroke patients, 72 cases (36.73%) were classified as the ICAS group, 45 cases (22.96%) as the COAS group, 21 cases (10.71%) as the ECAS group, and 58 cases (29.59%) as the NCAS group. The level of UA was comparatively higher (p = 0.033) in ICAS than in NCAS. The Chagan sag has the greatest oil and gas exploration potential among other sags in the Yingen-Ejinaqi Basin, Inner Mongolia. To reveal the tectono-thermal evolution history of the Chagan sag, this article utilized the combined forward and inversion method and 35 apatite fission track and 119 vitrinite reflectance data to reconstruct the Mesozoic and Cenozoic tectono-thermal evolution history in the Chagan sag. The results show that the Chagan sag had a high geothermal gradient during the Cretaceous, and it experienced the following 4 stages of tectono-thermal evolutions: (1) a rapid geothermal gradient increase stage from the Bayingebi Formation depositional period to the Suhongtu Formation depositional period, during which the geothermal gradient increased to 46∼52 °C/km at the end of the Suhongtu Formation depositional period; (2) a geothermal gradient peak stage during the Yingen Formation depositional period, with maximum geothermal gradient ranged from 50 to 58 °C/km; (3) a high geothermal gradient continuation stage during the Wulansuhai Formation depositional period, with maximum geothermal gradient ranged from 39 to 48 °C/km; and (4) a thermal subsidence stage during the Cenozoic, during which the Chagan sag is in the uplift and erosion stage due to the Himalayan movement and the geothermal gradient gradually decreased to 31∼34 °C/km at the present day. Moreover, the tectono-thermal evolution was consistent with the tectonic evolution and volcanic activities in the Chagan sag. During the Early Cretaceous, the intraplate rift was developed, lithosphere was thinned and multi-phase intense volcanic rocks were erupted in the Chagan sag, so a large amount of energy was released to the surface from the deep crust, resulting in a high geothermal gradient during this period. In addition, the high geothermal gradient during the Cretaceous was favorable for hydrocarbon generation, corresponding to a shallow paleo-generation threshold, and the Early Cretaceous geothermal fields controlled the hydrocarbon generation of the Chagan sag. This work may provide new insights for the understanding of the oil and gas exploration potential of the Chagan sag.

Radar simulator is a special important instrument in the field of radar test, but the current for the fidelity of the echo of radar simulator validation study is in its infancy. In this paper, the research object is the target’s Doppler, and the simulator fidelity measured by two methods: numerical computation and computing eigenvalues. And the two calculation methods are described in detail on the concrete steps and key issues.

Echo fidelity is an important characteristic of radar simulator and it influences accuracy and reliability of radar test directly. This paper introduces the research status of simulator fidelity and sort out the definition and property of radar echo simulation fidelity. Then we propose the numerical calculation methods for individual indicators, including similarity calculation, dissimilarity computing and interval changes three parts. Finally, on the basis of the evaluation system, we propose two calculation methods for entirety fidelity, they are weighted numerical calculation and umbrella figure methods.

We conducted three studies to investigate indulgent choice in settings with and without impression management by public-private manipulation with evaluation. Study 1 showed that the participants were less indulgent under public scrutiny due to the employment of impression management. Study 2 focused on the impression management context to test the moderate effect of self-consciousness in two impression managed contexts. Study 3 focused on context without impression management to test the moderate effects of self-awareness on choices. We found that depending on differences in primed personality, individuals tended to make choices other than those they favoured privately when anticipating that others might form impressions of them based on the decisions made. The findings of all three studies support our basic prediction that people are less indulgent under impression management and suggest that people tend to manage their impression by eating healthier (less indulgently) in public.

This study analyses the incidences and patterns of paraquat poisoning from calls received at the Malaysia National Poison Centre (NPC) since 2004 following the ban of the herbicide (2004–2006) and subsequent restriction up to year 2015. Related reported cases to the centre over twelve years (2004–2015) were retrieved and studied in respect to socio-demographic characteristics, mode and type of poisonings, exposure routes and location of incident. Ages of poisoned victims range from 10 months old to 98 years with males being intoxicated more frequently than females (ratio male to female = 2.7). The age group mainly involved in the poisoning was 20–39 years. The most common mode was intentional (62.8%) followed by unintentional (36.9%). Among the 1232 reported cases, suicidal poisoning was the highest (57.2%); accidental poisoning (30.8%) and occupational poisoning (3.3%). The findings showed an upward trend of suicidal poisoning over the years, clearly emphasizing the need for more stringent and effective enforcement to ensure the safe use of paraquat.

The mechanical properties and microstructures of three different VN, Nb, V-Nb microalloyed rebars were investigated by using tensile testing machine, impact machine, metallographic microscopy, scaning electron microcopy, transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction apparatus. The results showed that the microstructure of V-Nb microalloyed specimen is consisted of ferrite, pearlite and a small amount of fine bainite (6.7wt%), and obvious effect of grain refinement was obtained with more than 10 size grade of ferrite grain, showing optimal comprehensive properties. SEM micrograph of tensile fracture surface for V-Nb microalloyed 500MPa high-strength rebar is dimple and ductile, ductile-brittle transformation temperature is lower than-30°C, which has good plasticity-toughness and impact toughness at low temperature. The results of precipitates have shown that a large number of small and dispersive V(CN) and Nb (CN) precipitates with size of 5~30nm are formed, good effect of precipitation strengthening was achieved in 500MPa high-strength rebars produced by different microalloying and controlled cooling technology.

Through the study of MANET's QoS multicast routing problem, we propose a heuristic-demand multicast routing algorithm. Algorithm combines the MANET network bandwidth estimation algorithm, redefined the select function, restrictions request packets of flooding algorithm, to ensure fair treatment delay and bandwidth. Simulation results show that the algorithm has the advantage of fewer routing overhead, high success rate.

This paper reviews the research on the deflection of orthotropic saddle membrane under the external snow load. First the authors build the model of orthotropic saddle membrane under the snow load. Second we deduce the equations set of the saddle membrane which has the effect of pretension. Then we solve the equations set with the perturbation method. So we obtain the relational expression between the maximum deflection of the membrane’s centre point and the external load. At last, suppose that the load was determinate, the authors analyze the change of the deflection of the centre point of the membrane with different pretensions, side lengths and other parameters.

OLED (Organic light-emitting diodes) is a kind of brand-new display technology. The production involves many processes and different equipments. We studied the optimization problem of interval of preventive maintenance in OLED processes. With the help of ExtendSim software, we perform quantitative analysis and adjusted the productive process. Considering the cost of the preventive maintenance and random corrective repair, We optimized the interval of periodic maintenance with the limit of total output and obtained the best profit and lowest maintenance cost.

Wearable consumer electronics such as Google glasses, Apple iWatch, Nike Shoes have been envisioned as next consuming hot spot. It invokes a large amount of applications in the personal healthy, personal safety, and digital entertainment. To save power consumption, those wearable devices usually connect to Internet via a smart phone that performs as a gateway. To avoid unauthorized access from unfriendly devices, it is desirable to encrypt the personal data in the communications of wearable devices. Therefore, the keys for encryption and integrity are required. In this paper, we make the first attempt to solve both key management and authentication together for wearable devices in an ultra-lightweight manner. We propose a scheme called uKeMa that can provide key generation, key updating and authentication for wearable devices with ultra-lightweight power consumption.

Thermal anomalies can be caused by fast and intensive tectonism in sedimentary basins. So such thermal anomalies should be eliminated when the thermal history is used to reveal the geodynamic process at depth. In this work, based on the dynamic-instantaneous heat conduction theory, geothermal correction of 3 typical wells in the Bozhong Depression was carried out. The results indicate that the Paleogene rapid subsidence in the Bozhong depression leads to the present geothermal disequilibrium, where average heat flow at present is about 60.9 mW·m−2, but a higher heat flow 67.4 mW·m−2 is yielded after correction of the low thermal anomalies. The average thermal lithosphere thickness in the Bozhong depression is about 70 km, calculated by using the corrected heat flow, which is 13∼28 km thinner than before correction (82∼100 km), consistent with that from geophysical and xenoliths analyses.

A total of 126 food samples, categorised into three groups (seafood and seafood products, meat and meat products, as well as milk and dairy products) from Malaysia were analysed for polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins (PCDDs) and polychlorinated dibenzofurans (PCDFs). The concentration of PCDD/Fs that ranged from 0.16 to 0.25 pg WHO05-TEQ g(-1) fw was found in these samples. According to the food consumption data from the Global Environment Monitoring System (GEMS) of the World Health Organization (WHO), the dietary exposures to PCDD/F from seafood and seafood products, meat and meat products, as well as milk and dairy products for the general population in Malaysia were 0.064, 0.183 and 0.736 pg WHO05-TEQ kg(-1) bw day(-1), respectively. However, the exposure was higher in seafood and seafood products (0.415 pg WHO05-TEQ kg(-1) bw day(-1)) and meat and meat products (0.317 pg WHO05-TEQ kg(-1) bw day(-1)) when the data were estimated using the Malaysian food consumption statistics. The lower exposure was observed in dairy products with an estimation of 0.365 pg WHO05-TEQ kg(-1) bw day(-1). Overall, these dietary exposure estimates were much lower than the tolerable daily intake (TDI) as recommended by WHO. Thus, it is suggested that the dietary exposure to PCDD/F does not represent a risk for human health in Malaysia.

In order to investigate the anti-aging effect and mechanism of Liuwei Dihuang Wan pill (LWDH) on natural aging rats, LWDH pill was abstracted by boiling and filtrating according to conventional method and became decoction. Adult male rats were divided into two groups randomly, the experimental group fed with decoction of LWDH (0.5 mg/ml/100 g body weight), and natural aging group fed with equivalent volume of tap water. Both groups were treated with respective material once each day for one year. Morris water maze was employed to examine the behavioral learning and memory ability of all rats in the experiment. The content of superoxide dismutase (SOD), an antioxidant, and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) in serum were tested with spectrophotometer. The activity of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) in brain cortex was assayed by spectrophotometer. The thymus index and spleen index were analyzed. The results showed that LWDH can improve general behavior of aging rats. Compared with the control group, the weight of natural aging rats increased stably and was much higher (P ＜ 0.05). The LWDH-treated rats showed a shorter average escape latency in the navigation test (P ＜ 0.05) and higher percentage of swimming time spent in the target quadrant of Morris water maze and later spatial probe test (P ＜ 0.05). Higher thymus index and spleen index (P ＜ 0.05), increased SOD vigor in serum (P ＜ 0.05) as well as higher ChAT and AChE in cerebral cortex (P ＜ 0.05) were also observed. As above, LWDH can improve learning and memory ability and general behavior of natural aging rats; it can also reverse the metabolic capability and immunoregulation in natural aging rats.

This study aimed to investigate the oral acute and subacute toxicity of Poly [3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate], P(3HB-co-4HB) in the form of nanoparticles in Sprague-Dawley rats. Acute oral administration of P(3HB-co-4HB) nanoparticles was performed as a single dose up to 2000 mg/kg in six female rats for 14 days. Subacute toxicity study via oral administration for 28 days at doses of 0 (control), 500, 1000 and 2000 mg/kg in rats (10 rats in each group, female:male = 1:1) was conducted. The estimated lethal dose (LD50) of P(3HB-co-4HB) nanoparticles was >2000 mg/kg. No mortality, unusual changes in behaviour, adverse clinical signs, abnormal changes in body weights or food consumption were observed on all animals treated with P(3HB-co-4HB) nanoparticles during 14 days of the acute toxicity study. In the subacute test, there was no mortality and toxicologically significant changes in clinical signs, body weights, food consumption, hematology, clinical biochemistry, urinalysis, macroscopic findings, organ weights as well as histopathological examination were observed.

Firefighters may be exposed to a wide variety of toxic chemicals in their line of work, including volatile organic compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), brominated fl ame retardants (BFRs), metals, and various combustion by-products [1-4]. Such exposures can occur through inhalation and skin contact, although advances in personal protection (e.g. clothing and breathing apparatus) have apparently reduced such risks in recent years.

For the thin-walled carbon fiber laminated box beam column, the beam deflections not only relate with load but also with the ply angle of layer, span width ratio. By using the method of numerical, this paper analyzed and summarized the beam deflection variation with the span width ratio, ply angle, the axial compression ratio for the simply supported laminated box beam column under the axial compression and bending load.

The Qagan sag has the largest oil and gas exploration potential in the Inggen-Ejin Qi basin, Inner Mongolia. The terrestrial heat flow research is still blank in the Qagan sag and rest of the Inggen-Ejin Qi basin, which seriously restricts the oil and gas resource assessment in the basin. In this work, 107 rock thermal conductivity data of 19 wells were measured and in-situ corrected, and the rock thermal conductivities of each stratum were obtained by the union average formula. Based on the 9 wells' temperatures, combined with the above rock thermal conductivity data, the geothermal gradients and terrestrial heat flow were calculated. The results show the Qagan sag has the characteristics of the medium temperature field between tectonically stable and active regions, with an average thermal gradient of 33.6 °C/km and an average terrestrial heat flow value of 74.5 mW/m2. This work provides the geothermal data for oil and gas resource assessment of the Qagan sag and other sags of the Inggen-Ejin Qi basin.

The paper constructs electricity purchasing and selling risk control optimization model for power Grid Corporation after considering users demand elasticity, electricity distribution in the contract market and real-time market, the compensation cost for users blackout based on the analysis for the influencing factors of Power Grid Corporation and the revenue calculation model.

This research reports an investigation into whether the personality aspect of self-confidence affects the compromise effect. We hypothesize that highly self-confident people have greater certainty in making decisions and are more attracted to risk-taking, which makes them less likely to choose the safe or middle option in a large choice set. The three studies involved are conducted using between- and within-subjects experimental designs. Various product categories are used to generalize the findings. Study 1 looks at purchasing decisions and utilizes three scales of self-confidence, risk preference, and uncertainty; it demonstrates that consumers with high self-confidence are less likely to choose a compromise option due to high certainty in their decision-making. Study 2 discovers that people with low self-confidence are more likely to choose the middle option in a risky condition than in a nonrisky condition. Study 3 decomposes self-confidence into general and specific self-confidence, and reveals that people with low general self-confidence and low specific self-confidence are more likely to choose the middle option.

It is important to monitor and diagnosis for the health of ball bearing. We use the wavelet package to decompose the vibration of running bearing. The energies in frequency domain are input into a probability neural network. The output of the neural network is employed to justify the health of bearing and detect locations of fault. The experimental shows a good result of this method.

To identify Dishevelled-2 (Dvl2) is a prostate cancer-associated gene and analyze the effects on the growth and invasive capacity of human prostate cancer (PCa) cells. Dvl2 mRNA expression was measured in PCa cell lines and tissue samples, by real-time reverse transcription PCR (qRT-PCR). Immunohistochemistry was used to examine the distribution of Dvl2 in PCa specimens. Silencing Dvl2 in LNCaP cells, proliferation was measured by the CCK-8 assay, cell motility and invasiveness by scratch wound and transwell migration assays, and Wnt-3a, AR, and matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) expression by western blotting. Dvl2 was overexpressed in LNCaP cells compared with the AI PCa lines DU-145 and PC-3, as well as in the majority of PCa tissue specimens examined by qRT-PCR (14/27, 51.9 %). Dvl2 expression was low in all 10 BPH specimens, weakly positive in 26/104 AD PCa specimens (23.8 %), positive in 60/104 AD PCa specimens (55 %), and strongly positive in all 5 AI PCa specimens. Dvl2 expression was significantly correlated with combined Gleason score (p = 0.02), lymph node metastasis (p = 0.005), and TNM stage (p = 0.015). Silencing of Dvl2 mRNA expression significantly reduced LNCaP cell proliferation, motility, invasiveness and Wnt-3a, AR, MMP-2, and MMP-9 expression. Dvl2 may increase PCa growth and metastasis potential, possibly by upregulating Wnt-3a, AR, and MMP expression. Silencing Dvl2 expression may be an effective treatment strategy for PCa.

Image segmentation methods that exploit multiscale information about images to be estimated have been extensively studied, typically using the Hidden Markov Tree (HMT) framework. we incorporate wavelet coefficients information of the original image in the form of Hidden Markov Tree model prior for the object segmentation. In this paper, we derive a generalized closed form inference scheme to exact determine the posterior likelihood at each iteration with definite number of iteration steps. Extensive experiments show that this method performs better than many competitive multiscale image segmentation methods.

The image stitching method is widely used into the suspect's footprint information extraction. In order to improve the image detail and the matching precision, the Footprint map image stitching method which is based on the wavelet transform and the SIFT feature matching is put forward. The wavelet transform in this method is perform based on the pretreatment of image, move the low frequency wavelet coefficient to zero, adjusting thresholds of the high frequency wavelet coefficient and inverse transformation, then, use the SIFT to extract and match the key-points of the processed images. For the error matching pair of coarse match, you can use the RANSAC to filter them out. This article demonstrates its advantage through to the original image splicing comparisons. The experimental results show that the method display more clear detail and the precision of matching than the original method.

We propose a weighted least-squares-based halftoning model from human vision system(HVS) model and an efficient iterative strategy using gray image statistical information. First, the gray image is partitioned into several finite regions using clustering segmentation method. Next, the statistics of the mean and variance of the gray-scale pixel of each clustering are calculated. Finally, the new energy function is constructed using the weighted least squares method, which the reciprocal of the variance of the segmented regions are referred to as the weighting operator. Our method also incorporates a measurement based printer dot interaction model to prevent the artifacts due to dot overlap and to improve texture quality. The analysis and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm produces better gray-scale halftone image quality when we increase the number of clustering with a certain range. A performance measure for halftone images is used to evaluate our algorithm. The value of MSEv and PSNR for the partitions regions that the proposed algorithm achieves consistently better values of MSEv and PSNR than the LSMB algorithm. After four iterations of the algorithm of the proposed algorithm, the convergence error dropped to 0.25.

This work presents a method based on the image content for digital halftoning using K-means clustering theory. Our algorithm applies to both a printer model and a model for the human visual system (HVS). The method strives to minimize the perceived error between the continuous original image and the halftone image. First, the gray image is partitioned into two, three and four regions using K-means image segmentation method, whose performance depends on the selection of distance metrics. Next, the statistics of average gray value of each clustering is calculated. Each clustering uses the least-squares model-based(Lsmb) algorithm to obtain halftone image. Finally, analysis and simulation results show that the proposed algorithm produces better gray-scale halftone image quality when we increase the number of clustering with a certain range. A performance measure for halftone images is used to evaluate our algorithm. The value of MSEv, WSNR and PSNR for two partitions is almost the same as that of the Lsmb algorithm, but for three and four partitions that the proposed algorithm achieves consistently better values of MSEv, WSNR and PSNR than the Lsmb algorithm.

By using the Perturbation Theory and solidification coefficient method, based on the interpolation parameters for optimal control feedback matrix, the design of optimal roll control system for a small solid rocket is achieved. The hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform built with DSPACE real-time simulator and high-precision three axis turntable is designed to validate the optimal control law. As for no feedback device of the steering gear, the radios are used to transfer the signals between the devices in the closed loop simulation system. Finally, through the flight-testing, the results confirm a good stability of the roll control system and the high reliability of the hardware-in-the-loop simulation platform.

One bridge in the southeast coast was cited as an example and the risk analysis theory was introduced into the study of vessel-bridge collision problem of the bridge. From the survey of the current situation development in the bridge site area and 5000 tons collision-prevention requirements, the annual probability of collapse of the bridge in the year 2020 is over the criterion by the AASHTO model algorithm. In accordance with the AASHTO acceptance criteria for vessel-bridge collision risk, the mentioned vessel collision risk of the bridge was not acceptable. In this paper, based on “m” method and FLAC3D program, the research on horizontal bearing capacity of pile group of one bridge in the southeast coast under vessel impact is performed, and the effects of the anchor is considered, which is significant for the risk analysis and bridge anti-collision study.

Objective. To investigate potential drugs for diabetic nephropathy (DN) using whole-genome expression profiles and the Connectivity Map (CMAP).Methodology. Eighteen Chinese Han DN patients and six normal controls were included in this study. Whole-genome expression profiles of microdissected glomeruli were measured using the Affymetrix human U133 plus 2.0 chip. Differentially expressed genes (DEGs) between late stage and early stage DN samples and the CMAP database were used to identify potential drugs for DN using bioinformatics methods.Results. (1) A total of 1065 DEGs (FDR < 0.05 and fold change > 1.5) were found in late stage DN patients compared with early stage DN patients. (2) Piperlongumine, 15d-PGJ2 (15-delta prostaglandin J2), vorinostat, and trichostatin A were predicted to be the most promising potential drugs for DN, acting as NF-κB inhibitors, histone deacetylase inhibitors (HDACIs), PI3K pathway inhibitors, or PPARγagonists, respectively.Conclusion. Using whole-genome expression profiles and the CMAP database, we rapidly predicted potential DN drugs, and therapeutic potential was confirmed by previously published studies. Animal experiments and clinical trials are needed to confirm both the safety and efficacy of these drugs in the treatment of DN.

This article from deformation characteristics of deep foundation pit which support by the pile anchor, then using neural network and Matlab software to establish the time series model to prediction and analysis the deep horizontal displacement of soil. The prediction results show that the overall shape of the curve is similar to "bow” ,and with the depth of excavation the maximum displacement occurred by the beginning of the location of 0.5 m from the surface to move to about half of the excavation depth That is the H/2 up and down position. The results have some reference to the practical engineering in a certain extent, this explain that the prediction is a kind of important means to realize information construction.
