A postmenopausal woman in her 60s was referred due to an elevated haemoglobin value found during her annual check-up. On physical examination, characteristic features of hyperandrogenism were observed which were not earlier mentioned. Laboratory investigations revealed polycythaemia accompanied by a normal erythropoietin and a negative analysis for JAK2-V617F mutation. A disproportionally and markedly elevated testosterone in combination with normal levels of adrenal androgens raised the suspicion of an ovarian source. CT scan showed nodular hyperdense lesions in both ovaries. A bilateral oophorectomy was performed and histological evaluation unfolded a Leydig cell ovarian tumour. Testosterone levels and haematological parameters normalised after surgery. Polycythaemia secondary to hyperandrogenism in postmenopausal women is an extremely rare condition and patients should be carefully analysed for the presence of androgen-secreting neoplasms. Diagnosis of the underlying pathology requires careful history, physical examination and comprehensive investigation. Treatment for this condition is surgery and resolves polycythaemia.

Aims: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nurses’ anxiety and depression levels and their compliance with isolation measures during the COVID-19 pandemic. Background: The global COVID-19 pandemic has had severe psychological impacts on nurses. Methods: Following receipt of the requisite approvals, data were collected actively from 289 nurses consenting to participate in the study through an online questionnaire using theinternet/ social media. Results: Mean stress, anxiety, and depression scores were higher among carers for COVID-19 patients than in non-Covidcarers. Analysis revealed significant positive correlation between Isolation Precautions Compliance Scale scores and stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout. Conclusion: Burnout increased while compliance with isolation precautions decreased in this study as stress, anxiety, and depression increased. Amaç: Safen ven greft hastalığının (SVGH) sıklığı ve klinik prezentasyonu giderek artmaktadır, bu nedenle predispozan faktörlerin ortaya çıkarılması ve risk grubundaki hastaların belirlenmesi önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, SVGH ile CRP/albümin oranı (CAR), nötrofil/lenfosit oranı (NLR) ve trombosit/hemoglobin oranı (PHR) gibi üç biyobelirtecin değerlendirilmesini sağlayan CRP/Albümin+Nötrofil/Lenfosit+Trombosit/Hemoglobin (CANLPH) skoru arasındaki ilişkiyi araştırmaktır. Yöntem: Çalışmaya hastanemizde 1 Ocak 2018 - 1 Ocak 2020 tarihleri arasında koroner anjiyografi yapılmış ve koroner arter baypas greft (KABG) öyküsü olan toplam 754 hasta geriye dönük olarak dahil edilmiştir. SVG'lerinin en az birinde ve en az ≥%50 darlığı olan hastalar SVGH grubu ve SVG'lerde anlamlı darlığı bulunmayan hastalar kontrol grubu olarak dahil edildi. CAR, NLR ve PHR değerleri hastaların laboratuar verilerinden hesaplandı. You’den indeksi kullanılarak CAR, NLR ve PHR nin limit değerleri belirlendi ve puanlar 0 veya 1 olarak elde edildi. Bu üç skorun puanlarının toplamı ile grupların CANLPH skorları belirlendi. p

The aim of this study was to translate, culturally adapt and validate the Satisfaction with Appearance Scale (SWAP) into Turkish to be used in the context of pediatric burn care.This methodological study was conducted in two stages as Language Adaptation and Psychometric study. In the first stage, the Turkish scale was obtained after expert translations. A pilot study was conducted. After back-translation, and the scale was finalized. In the second stage, the scale was administered to 145 children with burns. Body Appreciation Scale for Children (BASC) was applied to the same group for correlation analysis with the scale.A structure explaining 65.98 % of the total variance was obtained. Cronbach's alpha values in the range of 0.995-1000 were quite reliable. A statistically significant correlation was determined between the test and retest applications for all the items (0.99-1.00) in the positive direction (p 0.001). There is a linear negative moderate correlation between BASC scores and the scores of the SWAP-TR scale (r = -0.621 p0.001). The dissatisfaction scores of children with face, hand and leg burns are significantly higher than the other groups.SWAP-TR is a reliable and valid instrument for use in a Turkish speaking children with burns. It is recommended to study the validity of this scale in other age groups with burns in Turkey.

Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction(TICI) score is used to objectively evaluate cerebral perfusion after intervention in acute stroke with mechanical thrombectomy. In our study, we aimed to compare the results of patients with successful TICI perfusion score (TICI ≥ 2c) with the results of patients with poor TICI perfusion score (TICI 2c) and to investigate the relationship of the CHAFor this retrospective, single-center, cross-sectional study, 278 patients who underwent endovascular thrombectomy were screened consecutively by the interventional neurology department of hospital. The primary endpoint of the study was in-hospital and 1-year all-cause death. Bilişim ve teknolojinin çok yoğun uygulandığı günümüz dünyasında, sosyal medya kullanımı her alanda olduğu gibi eğitimin de yadsınmaz bir parçası haline gelmiştir. Bu kapsamda muhasebe eğitiminde de sosyal medyanın etkilerini görmekteyiz. Bu etki bazen kaynak olarak, bazen paylaşımlar olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Sosyal medyaya erişimdeki eğitim niyeti çalışmanın ele aldığı temel unsurdur. Bu çalışma Sosyal medyanın öğrenme üzerindeki etkileri ile birlikte muhasebe dersi alan öğrencilerin eğitsel amaçlı internet kullanım öz yeterlilik algısını ve sosyal medya kullanımını araştırmak için tasarlanmıştır. Anket yönteminin tercih edildiği araştırma, Fırat Üniversitesinde muhasebe eğitimi alan öğrenciler ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Verilerin analizinde, betimleyici istatistikler, faktör analizi, güvenilirlik analizi, Bağımsız örneklem t-Testi, ANOVA analizi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda öğrencilerin sosyal medyayı en çok eğlence amaçlı tercih ettiği görülmüştür. Eğitsel internet kullanımı öz yeterlilik algısının ise sosyal ağı eğitim amaçlı kullanan öğrencilerde, 4.sınıf öğrencilerinde ve işletme bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerde daha fazla olduğu görülmüştür.

Amaç: Apandisit, çocuk cerrahları ve genel cerrahların en sık karşılaştığı akut karın nedenidir. Apandisitte erken tanı ve tedavi oldukça önem arz etmektedir. Apandisitle ilgili sayısız makale olmasına rağmen; çocuk ve erişkin dönemi apandisitleri karşılaştıran çalışmalar oldukça nadirdir. Bu çalışmada amaç çocuk ve erişkin hasta gruplarında apandisitin laboratuvar ve klinik özelliklerini karşılaştırmaktır. Yöntemler: Çalışma patoloji sonucu apandisit tanısı konulan hastalardan oluşmaktadır. Hastalar akut apandisit ve perfore apandisit olarak iki gruba ayrıldı. Ayrıca her iki grupta kendi içinde 18 yaş altı ve üstü olarak tekrar iki gruba ayrıldı. Gruplardaki hastaların demografik özellikleri, laboratuvar değerleri, maliyet analizi, cerrahi yöntem, patoloji raporları, apendiks çapları, şikayet ve yatış süreleri geriye dönük olarak incelendi. Bulgular: Çalışmaya dahil edilen 150 hastanın 42’si çocuk hasta idi. Akut apandisit 131 hastada, perfore apandisit ise 19 hastada saptandı. Çocuklarda ortalama yaş 9,38±2,25 yıl, erişkinlerde ise 36,33±13,54 yıl idi. Çalışmada akut apandisit gruplarında cinsiyet, cerrahi teknik, beyaz küre (WBC), hastanede yatış süresi ve maliyet analizi açısından anlamlı bir fark bulunurken; şikayet süresi, apendiks çapı, C reaktif protein (CRP) ve nötrofil yüzdesi açısından ise anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı. Yine perfore apandisit gruplarında tüm parametreler arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmadı. Sonuç: Çocuk ve erişkin dönemi akut apandisit hastaları arasında önemli farklılıklar olmasına rağmen; perfore apandisitlerde farklılıklar saptanmadı. Bu durumun hastaların değerlendirilmesi esnasında klinisyenler tarafından dikkate alınması gerektiği kanaatindeyiz.

Objective: We aimed to assess cardiac autonomic balance with heart rate variability by using 24-hour Holter electrocardiography and also to assess susceptibility to ventricular arrhythmias by using microvolt T wave alternance in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Method: This study was conducted with age- and gender-matched groups of 40 patients taking long-acting methylphenidate for more than a year and 55 healthy controls. Heart rate variability analysis for cardiac autonomic functions and microvolt T wave alternance measurements for susceptibility to ventricular arrhythmias were evaluated by 24-hour Holter electrocardiography. Results: The mean age 10.9 ± 2.7 years, mean duration of therapy 22.76 months, and mean methylphenidate doses were 37.64 mg/day. The study group had considerably higher rMSSD, higher HF, and a lower LF/HF ratio (respectively, p : 0.02, p : 0.001 and p : 0.01). While parasympathetic activity parameters were elevated, sympathetic activity parameters were low during the sleep period. Increase in the microvolt T wave alternance values of the study group was not found to be statistically significant (p > 0.05). Conclusion: In children taking long-acting methylphenidate, the autonomic balance was shown to be in favour of the parasympathetic system. Determination of the vulnerability to life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias has been evaluated for the first time in children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Accordingly, microvolt T-wave alternance values give the notion that drug use is safe.

Bu çalışmada, kuru işleme koşullarında serbest formlu ince cidarlı AA 5083-H111 alaşımın kaplamasız karbür parmak freze ile işlenmesinde cidar kalınlığının, kesme hızının ve ilerleme miktarının yüzey pürüzlülüğü üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesine odaklanmıştır. Ayrıca en düşük yüzey pürüzlülüğü için optimum kesme parametrelerinin belirlenmesinde Taguchi yöntemi ve regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Deney tasarımı Taguchi L32 (21x42) dizinine göre hazırlanmıştır. Deney ve analiz sonuçlarına göre, yüzey pürüzlülüğünü en aza indirmek için optimum kesme parametre seviyeleriA2B1C4 (5 mm cidar kalınlığı, 0,05 mm/diş ilerleme miktarı ve 200 m/dak) belirlenmiştir. ANOVA analiz sonucuna göre yüzey pürüzlülüğü üzerine en etkin kesme parametresi %57,14 ile ilerleme miktarı olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Yüzey pürüzlülüğü için yapılan regresyon analiz sonuçlarında ikinci derece regresyon analiz sonuçları lineer regresyon sonuçlarına göre gerçek değerlere en yakın sonuçları verdiği görülmüştür. özet 250 kelimeyi aşmamalı ve paragraf kullanılmamalıdır.

In this study, the relationship between lower secondary school teachers’ positive psychological capital, perceptions of managerial supportand organizational citizenship behaviors was examined. This research is a quantitative research and is in the relational screening model. The data of the study were obtained by measuring tools applied to 277 teachers working in public lower secondary schools in Alanya district. Personal information form, organizational citizenship behavior scale, positive psychological capital scale and managerial support perception scale were used as data collection tools. The data of the research were analyzed with simple linear correlation technique and stepwise multiple regression technique. According to the results of the correlation analysis, organizational citizenship behaviors exhibited by secondary school teachers are positively correlated with the levels of kindness, conscientiousness, altruism, sportsmanship and civic virtue dimensions, and between the levels of positive psychological capital, hope, resilience, optimism and self-efficacy, and between the levels of perception of managerial support. A relationship has been identified., Bu araştırmada ortaokul öğretmenlerinin pozitif psikolojik sermayeleri, yönetsel destek algıları ve örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışları arasındaki ilişki incelenmiştir. Bu araştırma nicel bir araştırma olup ilişkisel tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın verileri Alanya ilçesinde devlete bağlı ortaokullarda görev yapmakta olan 277 öğretmene uygulanan ölçme araçları ile elde edilmiştir. Verileri toplamak için kişisel bilgi formu, örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışı ölçeği, pozitif psikolojik sermaye ölçeği ve yönetsel destek algısı ölçeğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri basit doğrusal korelasyon tekniği ve aşamalı çoklu regresyon tekniğiyle analiz edilmiştir. Yapılan korelasyon analizi sonucuna göre ortaokul öğretmenlerinin sergilemiş olduğu örgütsel vatandaşlık davranışları nezaket, vicdanlılık, diğerkamlık, centilmenlik ve sivil erdem boyutu davranış düzeyleri ile pozitif psikolojik sermaye umut, psikolojik dayanıklılık, iyimserlik ve öz yeterlilik boyutu düzeyleri arasında ve yönetsel destek algısı düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki belirlenmiştir.

Background: Association of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU) with sleep disturbance has not been evaluated in studies that involve a large number of patients. Objective: In this study, we aimed to evaluate the sleep attitude and circadian rhythm in patients with CSU. Methods: As the patient group, recently diagnosed 100 patients with CSU, 100 patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) as the patient control group, and 100 healthy controls (HCs) were included. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) questionnaire, sleep hygiene index (SHI), Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS) questionnaire, and the morningness‐eveningness questionnaire (MEQ) were filled to assess sleep quality and circadian rhythm. CSU disease activity was evaluated by urticaria activity score-7 (UAS-7). Patients with concomitant diseases, e.g., psychiatric illnesses, that possibly affect sleep status or those who use related medications and at moderate or high risk of obstructive sleep apnea according to the STOP-Bang questionnaire were excluded from the study. Results: PSQI, SHI, and ESS scores were higher, and the MEQ score was lower in patients with CSU and patients with AR than those in the HCs (p < 0.001, for each score). However, the scores were not different among the patients with CSU and the patients with AR. UAS-7 was only correlated with PSQI scores (r = 0.402, p < 0.001). In addition, blood eosinophil counts and the serum C Reactive Protein (CRP) level were correlated with sleep quality (p = 0.02). Conclusion: The poor sleep quality, impaired sleep hygiene, increased daytime sleepiness, and intermediate type of circadian rhythm were observed in the patients with CSU and the patients with AR. Physicians should be aware of sleep problems in patients with CSU that might affect their quality of life and the success of their treatment.

The aim of this study is to develop a scale to determine the satisfaction levels of high school students towards school. The draft scale was piloted to 650 high school students studying in five central districts of Antalya in the 2020-2021 academic year. Afterwards, real application was made to 614 students. Rotated principal component analysis was used to obtain information about the validity of the scale over the obtained data. In order to determine the construct validity of the scale, principal component analysis and factor analyzes were performed and Promax oblique rotation was performed. In addition, Cronbach's α reliability was calculated to provide evidence for the reliability of the scale and was found to be .94. As a result of these analyzes, the Students' School Satisfaction Scale (SSSS) consisting of 6 factors and 43 items explaining 60% of the total variance was obtained. Item test correlations were calculated as evidence of item validity. Item test correlations were found to vary between .446 and .743. The results obtained prove that the scale is valid and reliable.

The basic metal industry is one of the most economically important business lines in the manufacturing industry. According to the Social Security Institution (SSI) 2020 data, the basic metal industry in Türkiye is represented by 16 sub-businesses lines. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the risk levels of the sub-business lines of the basic metal industry class, which is included in the SSI economic activity classification. Occupational Health and Safety data included in the 2020 SSI statistics were used to determine risk levels. The number of employees who have an occupational disease, the number of deaths because of work accidents, the period of temporary incapacity for work (inpatient), the period of temporary incapacity for work (outpatient), and the number of employees who have had a work accident are the criteria selected from these data. In the evaluation made according to these criteria, Multi-Criteria Decision-Making methods were used. Criteria Importance Through Intercriteria Correlation (CRITIC) and Evaluation Based on Distance from Average Solution (EDAS) methods were used to determine and classify the importance levels of the criteria determined for 16 sectors. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that the riskiest sector among the main metal industry sub-business lines is the “Manufacture of basic iron and steel products and ferrous alloys” and the most important criterion is the number of insured persons with occupational diseases.

Aim: Serum RDW grades were detected in patients with Hashimoto's thyroiditis. We aimed to use RDW to detect increased cardiovascular events in patients, increased oxidative stress, and inflammation without the need for an additional cost. Methods: We collected 904 persons results, 462 patients which have Hashimoto's thyroiditis, and 442 age and sex-matched control cases were comprised in our study. From laboratory measurements of the patients’ records were utilized such as hemogram, hs-CRP, fasting blood glucose, insulin, C-peptide, kidney function tests, liver function tests (ALT, AST), serum lipids (total cholesterol, triglyceride, HDL, LDL), anti-Tg, and anti-TPO, FT3, FT4, TSH levels. Çalışanların iş yaşamındaki davranışları ve işleriyle olan ilişkileri pek çok değişkenden etkilenmektedir. Bu değişkenlerden en önemlilerinden biri de yöneticilerin liderlik davranışları ve işletmenin personel güçlendirme kültürüdür. Örgütler sürdürülebilir rekabet amacı için bilgiye ve güçlü insan kaynağına ihtiyaç duymaktadır. Bu çalışmanın birincil amacı küresel rekabet ortamında değişimin gücünden en iyi şekilde yararlanabilmek için bir gereklilik olan personel güçlendirme kavramı ile bireysel yaratıcılık ilişkisini ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca personel güçlendirme ve bireysel yaratıcılık ilişkisinde liderlik görevlerinin rolünün incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla, kartopu örneklem belirleme yönteminden yararlanarak, İstanbul’da bir kamu kurumuna bağlı 300 çalışan ile ampirik bir araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma bulguları IBM SPSS Statistics v.26 ve Hayes Process Macro v.4.1. istatistik programı yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada veriler, frekans analizi, açıklayıcı faktör analizi, güvenilirlik analizi, pearson korelasyon analizi, çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Yapılan analizler neticesinde personel güçlendirmenin bireysel yaratıcılık üzerindeki etkisi pozitif ve anlamlı olarak bulunmuştur. Personel güçlendirme ve bireysel yaratıcılık ilişkisinde liderlik görevlerinin aracı değişken olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Liderlik görevlerinin hem bireysel yaratıcılık hem de personel güçlendirme üzerinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. Bu çalışma İstanbul Esenyurt Üniversitesi Etik Kurulu tarafından 31.05.2022 tarihli ve 2022/05-3 sayılı kararı ile etik açıdan uygun bulunmuştur.

Aim: Among the hand functions, grasping is an important function for the continuity of daily living activities. The assessment of grip strength is crucial for identifying athletic prowess, neuromuscular illnesses, assessing potential side effects following hand surgery, and treatment plans. It was aimed to examine whether bioimpedance analysis (BIA) and upper extremity anthropometric measurements are effected grip strength in young adults. Material and Methods: The study was conducted on 110 young adults, 55 males and 55 females, aged 18-25 years. Individuals with a history of trauma, musculoskeletal problems, and cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, or systemic diseases were not included in the study. Non-flexible tape measure, Harpenden anthropometric set, digital caliper, hand dynamometer, and skinfold caliper were used for anthropometric measurements. Body fat percentage and lean body mass, muscle mass, basal metabolic rate, and total body fluid parameters were investigated by bioelectrical impedance measurement. Three measurements were taken to reduce the error rate, and the average of these measurements was considered. Results: Excluding arm circumference, forearm length, and wrist circumference from anthropometric measurements, and mineral from BIA parameters; anthropometric measurements and BIA results were found to be statistically significantly correlated with grip strength. Conclusion: Upper extremity anthropometric measurements and BIA were associated with grip strength and varied according to gender. Significant correlations were found between grip strength with most of the anthropometric parameters and BIA.

Sözlü kültür geleneğinin anlatmaya dayalı türleri içerisinde yer alan masallar, dünya milletlerinde olduğu gibi Türklerin de önemli kültürel miraslarından birini oluşturmaktadır. Avrupa’da halk bilimi çalışmalarının başlama tarihiyle eş zamanlı bir var oluş gösteren masal araştırma ve inceleme tarihi, Türk toplulukları özelinde değerlendirildiğinde 19. yüzyılın sonu ve 20. yüzyılın başlarında daha ziyade metin derlemeleriyle başlamış, ancak 20. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren inceleme çalışmalarına dönüşmüştür. Türk topluluklarının masal araştırmalarının başlangıcında özellikle Rus araştırmacıların büyük katkısı olmuştur. Bu araştırmacılardan biri de Aleksandr Grigoryeviç Bessonov’dur. Türk topluluklarının dil ve kültür ürünleri üzerine yapmış olduğu çalışmalarla dikkat çeken A. G. Bessonov, özellikle de Başkurt masallarının derlenmesi ve yayımlanmasında büyük bir yere sahiptir. Bu makalede; öncelikle A. G. Bessonov’un hayatı hakkında bilgi verilecektir. Daha sonra Bessonov’un Başkurtların dili, alfabesi ve masalları üzerine yapmış olduğu çalışmalar üzerinde durulacaktır. Bessonov’un özellikle Başkurt masalları üzerine yapmış olduğu çalışmasının masal araştırmaları tarihindeki yeri ve önemi değerlendirilecektir. Makalede, Bessonov’un çalışmasının yayımlanmasını sağlayan Nikolay Dmitriyev’e de yer verilecektir.

1908’de Meşrutiyet’in ilanından sonra ülkeyi yöneten İttihat Terakki Partisi’nin amacı kısa sürede Osmanlı Devleti’nin iktisadi kalkınmasını gerçekleştirmekti. İlk yıllarda ekonomi politikaları liberalizm doğrultusunda şekillendirilmesine karşın 1911’den itibaren partide Türkçülerin hakim olmasıyla milli iktisat politikası benimsenmiş ve politikalar bu düşünce doğrultusunda yürütülmeye başlanmıştır. Bu yıllarda İttihat ve Terakki Partisi ideologları da dönemin basınında milli iktisat düşüncesi lehine kamuoyu oluşturmak amacıyla yazılar yayımlanmaya başlamıştır. Ayrıca İttihat ve Terakki Partisi, ülkenin iktisadi ve siyasi siyasetini şekillendirmek için doğrudan gazete ve dergileri finanse etmiş ve yayımlamıştır. Bu çalışmanın konusu olan Türk Yurdu da İttihat ve Terakki Partisi’nin finanse ettiği ve parti ideologların yazı yazdığı dergilerden biridir. Türk Yurdu, Osmanlı Devleti’nin ekonomi sorunlarına değinmiş ve çözüm olarak milli iktisat düşüncesini önermiştir. Bu çalışmada Türk Yurdu’nda çıkan iktisadi yazılar incelenerek iktisadi sorunlara Türk Yurdu’nun getirdiği çözüm önerileri anlatılmıştır.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, eğitimci ve öğretmenlerin eğitim felsefelerini belirlemek için sıfat çiftleri kullanılarak geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçek geliştirmektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, devlet ve özel okullarında görev yapan 486 katılımcı öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Ölçme aracının geçerlilik çalışmaları olarak; kapsam, görünüş ve yapı geçerliliğine bakılmıştır. Ölçeğin güvenirliğinin belirlenmesinde maddelerin birbirlerine olan iç tutarlılık katsayıları belirlemek amacıyla Cronbach alpha ve tek-yönlü varyans analizi uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliliğini belirlemek amacıyla sırasıyla açımlayıcı (AFA) ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) çalışmaları yapılmıştır. Başlangıçta yedi faktör ve 35 madde olarak tasarlanan ölçme aracı uygulanan analizler ile yedi faktör ve 32 madde şeklinde son halini almış ve oluşturulan model DFA ile test edilerek uyum indeksine göre önerilen yedi faktörlü ve 32 maddeli yapı doğrulanmıştır. Ölçekte bulunan faktörler bilgi, öğretmen, öğrenci, eğitim ortamı, değerler, program içeriği ve ölçme değerlendirme olarak adlandırılmıştır. Ölçme aracının tamamından elde edilen Cronbach Alfa güvenirlik (iç tutarlık) katsayısı .97 olarak bulunmuştur. Faktörlerin sahip olduğu güvenirlik katsayıları ise .69 ile .96 arasında değiştiği tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular, ölçeğin eğitimci ve öğretmenlerin eğitim felsefelerini belirlemek amacıyla kullanıma uygun, geçerli ve güvenilir olduğunu göstermektedir ve gerekli durumlarda eğitimin diğer paydaşlarının da kullanımına sunulabilir.

Antimicrobial coatings are designed to inhibit the growth of pathogens and have been used to reduce foodborne illness bacteria on food processing equipment. Novel N-halamine based antimicrobial coatings are highly advantageous due to their unique properties and low cost, and are being investigated for applications in food safety, health care, water and air disinfection, etc. In this study, we evaluated the chemical safety of a novel N-halamine antimicrobial polymer coating (Halofilm) for use on food processing equipment. Migration tests were performed on stainless steel tiles prepared with four different treatment groups: negative control, positive control, Halofilm coating without chlorination, and Halofilm coating with chlorination. An LC-MS/MS method was developed and validated for four formulation components: polyethylenimine (PEI), Trizma® base, hydantoin acrylamide (HA) and dopamine methacrylamide (DMA), followed by stability and recovery tests. Migration tests were conducted at 40 °C with three food simulants (10, 50 and 95% ethanol/water) to mimic various food properties, and aliquots of migration extracts were analyzed at 2, 8, 72, 240 and 720 h. In general, measured concentration levels were consistent among simulant types for the four tested chemicals. Chlorinated tiles had non-detects for three analytes (PEI, HA and DMA), and less than 0.05 mg/kg of HA migration over 30 days. A chlorination step could possibly change the measured mass (m/z) hence leading to non-detects in targeted LC-MS/MS. In non-chlorinated tiles, all four compounds were detected during the migration test. This suggests that addition of the chlorination step may have a stabilizing effect on the polymer. Additionally, full scan high resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS) analysis was employed to screen for migration of other extractable and leachable (E&L) chemicals, which led to the identification of eight common E&L chemicals. To our knowledge, this is the first report evaluating chemical migration from an N-halamine antimicrobial polymer coating product.

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, gebelerin koronavirüs enfeksiyonu ve aşısı hakkındaki düşüncelerinin aşı karşıtlığı özelinde incelenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: Nitel araştırma desenlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılarak yapılan bu çalışmanın örneklem seçiminde, amaçlı örneklem türlerinden “ölçüt dayanaklı örneklem” tekniği kullanılmış, çalışmanın örneklemini 10 gebe oluşturmuştur. Veriler, “bireysel görüşme tekniği” ile toplanmış, verilerin analizinde “tüme varımsal içerik analizi tekniği” kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Yapılan içerik analizinde; Tema 1 (Gebelerin koronavirüs enfeksiyonu hakkındaki düşünceleri), Tema 2 (Gebelerin koronavirüs aşıları hakkındaki düşünceleri), Tema 3 (Gebelerin aşı karşıtı düşünceleri), Tema 4 (Gebelerin bazı konularda bilgi alma, koronavirüs enfeksiyonu, enfeksiyona karşı aşılanma, aşılanmanın önemi ve gebelikle ilişkisi vb. durumları) olmak üzere dört tane ana tema elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen bu temalar kodlara ayrılarak çözümlenmiştir. Sonuç: Gebelerin en çok enfeksiyon ve aşı nedeniyle bebeğine zarar gelmesinden korktuğu, aşıların gebelikte güvenli olmadığını, içeriğinin ve yan etkilerinin yeterince araştırılmadığını düşündüğü sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.

İlk Çin’in Wuhan şehrinde görülen ve daha sonra Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından 11 Mart 2020’de pandemi olarak ilan edilen koronavirüs hastalığı-2019 (COVID-19) kısa sürede tüm dünyaya yayıldı. COVID-19 enfeksiyonu şu anda dünyada en önemli halk sağlığı sorunudur. COVID-19 enfeksiyonu sadece solunum sistemi hastalığı değil sistemik bir hastalık olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Kardiyak etkilenim de bunların başında gelmekte ve miyokardiyal enfarktüsten kardiyak arreste kadar geniş bir yelpazede klinik bulgu vermektedir. COVID-19 enfeksiyon hastaları kardiyak arrest açısından risk altında olup, bu hastaların ölüm oranı da yüksektir. Kardiyak arrestte en önemli müdahale hayat kurtarmak ve acil bakım sağlamak amacıyla uygulanan, bir dizi tedavi ve klinik uygulamaları içeren ileri kardiyak yaşam desteğidir. İleri kardiyak yaşam desteğinde göğüs kompresyonu, pozitif basınçlı ventilasyon ve hava yolu desteği gibi birçok uygulama sırasında aerosol yayılması söz konusudur. İleri kardiyak yaşam desteği sırasında enfeksiyon açısından risk altında olan sağlık çalışanlarının bu riski COVID-19 enfeksiyon hastalarında daha da fazladır. Bu durumda yeterli, etkili ve güvenli bir ileri kardiyak yaşam desteği hem sağ kalım oranlarının artmasını hem de sağlık çalışanlarının enfeksiyondan korunmasını sağlayacaktır. Bu derlemede olası veya kesinleşmiş COVID-19 enfeksiyon yetişkin hastalarında etkili ve güvenli ileri kardiyak yaşam desteğinin sağlanması için güncel rehber önerilerine yer verilmektedir.

Endodontik tedaviler ortodontik tedavi için bir kontrendikasyon oluşturmadığı için endodontik tedavi görmüş dişler ortodontik olarak hareket ettirilebilir. Bununla birlikte, endodontik ve ortodontik tedaviler arasındaki kesin ilişki hakkında literatürde veri eksikliği mevcut olup, bu ilişki ortodontik tedavinin pulpa ve periyodonsiyumda neden olduğu çeşitli etkilerden oluşur. Kök kanal dolgu materyalinin periapikal dokularda çok az ya da hiç irritasyona neden olmayacak şekilde tamamen kanal içinde olduğu durumlarda periapikal ve/veya pulpa lezyonu hemen iyileşmeye başlar. Apikal periyodontal onarım bu iyileşme sonrası başlamakla birlikte, kök kanalı sızıntısı veya rezin, silikon, çinko oksit öjenol, biyoseramik veya güta-perka gibi kök kanal dolgu materyallerinin periapikal bölgede kalması durumunda yabancı cisim granülomlarının oluşması tetiklenir. Bu granülomlar diş hareketini engellemese de, üç ayda bir periapikal radyografilerle konumları kontrol edilmeli ve daimi kanal dolgusunun da ortodontik tedavi tamamlanana kadar ertelenmesiyle psödo aşırı doldurma önlenebilir. Bu nedenle, pulpa hasarını kısıtlamak ve hatta iyileşmesine yardımcı olmak amacıyla istenen diş hareketini sağlayacak optimal kuvvet uygulanması önerilir. Ayrıca, ortodontik tedaviden önce endodontik tedavili dişlerin hem klinik hem de radyografik olarak periapikal durumunun kapsamlı değerlendirilmesi önemlidir. Bu derlemede, endodontik ve ortodontik tedavilerde kök rezorpsiyonu etkisi, tedavi planlamasında dikkat edilmesi gerekenler ve hasta yönetimi hakkında güncel bilimsel kanıtlar gözden geçirilerek konu hakkında bilgi düzeyinin arttırılması amaçlanmıştır.

Introduction: Patients in intensive care units (ICU) are 5-7 times more susceptible to infection than other groups, which increases the prevalence of hospital-acquired infections and associated sepsis accounting for 60% of deaths. Gram-negative bacteria are the most common source of urinary tract infections that cause morbidity, mortality, and sepsis in the ICU. The aim of this study is to detect the most commonly grown microorganisms and antibiotic resistance in urine cultures in the intensive care units of our tertiary city hospital, which has more than 20% of the ICU beds in Bursa By this way, we suppose that we will contribute to surveillance studies in our province, our country. Methodology: Patients who were admitted to Bursa City Hospital adult ICU for various reasons between 15.07.2019 and 31.01.2021 and had growth in urine cultures were retrospectively screened. The urine culture result, growing microorganism, antibiotic used, and resistance status were recorded and analyzes were performed according to hospital data. Results: Gram-negative growth was observed in 85.6% (n = 7707), gram-positive growth in 11.6% (n = 1045), and candida fungus growth in 2.8% (n = 249). Resistance to at least one antibiotic in urine cultures was observed for Acinetobacter (71.8), Klebsiella (51%), Proteus (47.95%), Pseudomonas (33%), E. coli (31%) and Enterococci (26.75%), respectively. Discussion: Developing a health system leads to longer life expectancy, longer intensive care treatment, and more frequent interventional procedures. In terms of being a resource for empirical treatments, early initiation of empirical treatments to control the urinary tract infection disrupts the patient's hemodynamics and increases mortality and morbidity.

The new Cu(II) carboxylate complex, aqua(2,2'-bipyridine-κ2N,N')bis(4-methylbenzoato-κO)copper(II) [Cu(4-mba)2(bipy)(H2O)] (4-mba: 4-methylbenzoate, bipy: 2,2'-bipyridine) was synthesized, and the molecular structure of the complex was characterized by the single crystal X-ray diffraction technique. The X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the asymmetric unit comprises an independent molecule. Crystal data for [Cu(4-meb)2(2,2-bipy)(H2O)]: Triclinic, space group P-1 (no. 2), a = 7.0452(13) Å, b = 11.260(2) Å, c = 16.635(3) Å, α = 103.543(7)°, β = 91.002(7)°, γ = 104.106(6)°, V = 1240.4(4) Å3, Z = 2, T = 296 K, μ(MoKα) = 0.918 mm-1, Dcalc = 1.360 g/cm3, 51364 reflections measured (5.054° ≤ 2Θ ≤ 57.38°), 6258 unique (Rint = 0.0398, Rsigma = 0.0284) which were used in all calculations. The final R1 was 0.0392 (I > 2σ(I)) and wR2 was 0.1021 (all data). The Cu(II) ion was found to be coordinated with two nitrogen atoms of the 2,2'-bipyridine ligand, two oxygen atoms of the 4-methyl benzoate molecule, and one oxygen atom of the aqua ligand. In the three-dimensional supramolecular architecture, molecules are connected through pairs of O-H···O and C-H···O intermolecular interactions, consisting of chains. The molecule also demonstrates Cg···Cg intermolecular interactions between six-membered rings of 2,2'-bipyridine.

In this paper, it is aimed to construct two different dynamical systems on the Sierpinski tetrahedron. To this end, we consider the dynamical systems on a quotient space of $\{ 0,1,2,3 \}^{\mathbb{N}}$ by using the code representations of the points on the Sierpinski tetrahedron. Finally, we compare the periodic points to investigate topological conjugacy of these dynamical systems and we conclude that they are not topologically equivalent.

Bu araştırmada Türkiye’de 2007-2022 yılları arasında kimya dersi öğretim programlarına dair öğretmen görüşleri ile ilgili yapılan çalışmalar, bazı değişkenler açısından incelenerek çalışmalardaki araştırma eğilimini ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda belirlenen ölçütlere göre tarama yapılarak 19’u lisansüstü tez, 30’u araştırma makalesi olmak üzere toplam 49 bilimsel çalışmaya ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılan çalışmalar, oluşturulan analiz formu yardımı ile içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucuna göre makale ve yüksek lisans tezlerine oranla doktora tezlerinin daha az sayıda olduğu, tespit edilen tüm çalışmalarda ağırlıklı olarak Türkçe yazım dilinin tercih edildiği ve en çok çalışmanın da Atatürk Üniversitesi ile Gazi Üniversitesi’nde yapıldığı anlaşılmıştır. Bununla birlikte çalışmalarda nitel araştırma yönteminin daha çok kullanıldığı; veri toplama aracı olarak en çok görüşme formunun, veri analiz yöntemi olarak da en çok içerik analizi yönteminin tercih edildiği; ağırlıklı olarak da 9-12. sınıf düzeyindeki kimya dersi öğretim programlarının bütünü ile birlikte 2007 yılı öğretim programına ilişkin öğretmen görüşlerinin incelendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Tüm bu sonuçların ışığında da gelecekte araştırma konusuna ilişkin yapılabilecek çalışmalar için birtakım öneriler sunulmuştur. Sonuç olarak bu çalışma ile alandaki araştırmacılara, araştırma eğilimleri gösterilerek yardımcı olunabileceği düşünülmüştür.

Aim: This study aimed to determine anxiety and fear levels of confirmed and possible COVID-19 cases isolated at home and the influencing factors. Methods: This descriptive study was conducted with 387 confirmed and possible cases in a province in southern Turkey between January-June 2021. The data were collected online via the snowball method using the Fear of COVID-19 Scale and the Coronavirus Anxiety Scale. Results: Of the participants, 50.9% were “confirmed COVID-19 cases” and 49.1% were “possible COVID-19 cases”. It was determined that COVID-19 anxiety was low and fear of COVID-19 was high. COVID-19 anxiety was 2.57 times greater in women, 2.51 times greater in those whose educational level was primary school and below, 2.63 times greater in those living with others at home, and 1.93 times greater in those who had no room to go into isolation at home alone. Giysilerde estetik ve modaya uygunluğu yanı sıra, performans ve konfor özellikleri gibi önemli özellikler aranmaktadır. Giysilerin ısıl konfor sağlaması için, soğuğa karşı yüksek ısıl dirence sahip olması gerekmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında, seamless makinelerde termofizyolojik konfor özellikleri iyileştirilmiş içlikler, çevre dostu ürünler olarak geliştirilmiştir. Çeşitli çevre koşullarında yüksek ısı yalıtımı isteyen kişilerin kullanabileceği özellikler taşıması için çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Termal ısıl konforu etkileyebilecek üretim parametrelerini dikkate alarak üretimi gerçekleşen yün, NILIT-heat, polyester (PES), polipropilen (PA) ve özel fonksiyonel ipliklerle kombine edilmiş 10 adet numune üretilmiştir. Çalışmada, ısıl dirence sahip farklı yapıdaki termal kumaş türlerinin, ısıl direnç (Alambeta Parametreleri) ve MMT parametreleri incelenmiştir ve çok kriterli analiz sonucunda ise termal fonksiyonel özellikleri barından numuneler seçilmiştir. Isıl yalıtımın sağlanması için numunelerde daha çok yün, termal izolasyonlu özel ipliklerin özellikle PES ile kombinasyonu önerilirken, su buharı geçirgenliği beklenen bölgelerde ise; PES, PA ve yün kombinasyonlarının kullanımı uygun bulunmuştur.

Bu çalışmada; fonksiyonel özelliği ile dikkati çeken mor havuç (Daucus carota L.), cips formülasyonuna buğday unu yerine beş farklı oranda (%0, 10, 20, 30 ve 40) ikame edilmiş ve mor havuç tozunun cipslerin toplam fenolik madde miktarı, antioksidan aktivitesi, renk, fiziksel ve duyusal özellikleri üzerine etkileri incelenmiştir. Üretilen cips örneklerinin toplam fenolik madde miktarı ve antioksidan aktivite değeri, yüksek ikame oranı ile birlikte sırasıyla 1.31 mg GAE 100 g-1’den 13.94 mg GAE 100 g-1’e ve %30.07’den %84.93’e kadar önemli düzeyde artış göstermiştir. Mor havuç tozu ikamesi ile cips örneklerinin L* değerlerinde azalma, a* ve b* değerlerinde ise bir artış belirlenmiştir. Kontrol cips örnekleri ile kıyaslandığında, mor havuç tozu ikamesi cips örneklerinin çap, kalınlık, sertlik ve kırılganlık değerlerini artırmıştır. Duyusal değerlendirme sonucuna göre, mor havuç tozunun %10 seviyesine kadar ikame edilmesi panelistler tarafından kabul edilebilir bulunmuştur.

For sustainable development, hygiene should be specific to general, from personal hygiene to environmental cleaning, and environmental awareness of individuals should be made more permanent. It is estimated that individuals who know the importance of personal hygiene may be more sensitive to the ecological problems of their society. Individuals growing up sensitive to the environment can make the environment more livable. This study aimed to investigate the impact of variables such as gender, class level, residence, educational status of parents, type of residence of the family, hand-face washing, and frequency of bathing on the environmental knowledge of secondary school students. In the study, the survey method among descriptive research was used. The study was conducted with a total of 360 secondary school students studying in the village schools and central schools in Ağrı province in the 2018-2019 academic year. In the study, Environmental Knowledge Test (water-soil pollution) and Hygiene Information Form (face washing, bathing) were used as data collection tools, and their relationship with the variables included in the data collection tools was examined. Mann Whitney U, Kruskal Wallis Tests were used to analyze the data. As a result of the statistical analysis, a significant relationship was found between environmental knowledge and gender, class level, parental education level, and residence; however, no significant relationship was found between environmental knowledge and the frequency of hand-face washing and bathing.

Folat ve folik asit, suda çözünen B vitaminin farklı formlarıdır. Folat, besinlerde doğal formda bulunurken, folik asit ise vitamin takviyesi olarak B vitamininin sentetik formudur. Folat seviyesi yüksek olan besinler arasında; yeşil yapraklı sebzeler ve kurubaklagil yer almaktadır. Folik asit, insan sağlığı ve hastalığında önemli bir rol oynamaktadır. Folik asit eksikliği, nöral tüp defekti ve megaloblastik aneminin yanı sıra kanser, kardiyovasküler hastalık ve zihinsel bozukluklarda da görülmektedir. Kanser riski ve folat durumunun arasındaki ilişki folat için bilinen biyokimyasal mekanizmaların varlığıyla daha da güçlendirilmiştir. Folat durumu, sağlıklı insanlarda kanseri önleyebileceği gibi pre-malign ve malign lezyonların ilerlemesini de sağlayabilir. Bu da folik asitin karsinogenezde ikili bir rolü oynayabileceği görüşünü desteklemektedir. Yapılan bu çalışmada MDA-MB-231, MCF-7 ve Vero hücrelerine uygulanan folik asidin sitotoksik etkilerinin değerlendirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. İlaç 5,4,3,2,1 mg/ml, 600,400,100 μg/ml doz aralığında hücrelere uygulandı. İlaç uygulamasından sonra hücreler 24, 48 ve 72 saatlik sürelerde inkübasyona bırakıldı. İnkübasyon süresi sonunda yapılan testlerden elde edilen verilere göre sonuçlar değerlendirildi. Sonuçlar folik asidin, MDA-MB-231, MCF- 7 ve Vero hücrelerinin çoğalması üzerinde arttırıcı bir etkiye sahip olduğuna işaret etmektedir .

Our study aimed to examine the childhood traumas and psychiatric symptoms of prisoners and their relationship with crime types. Persons convicted in Elazig Penitentiary Institutions were included in the study. The Demographic and Clinical Evaluation Form, Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) and Symptom Checklist (SCL-90) were administered to all participants. A total of 370 people were included in the study. For prisoners who have been imprisoned before, CTQ-physical abuse, BAI, SCL-90-somatization, anxiety, and hostility subscale scores were higher than those who entered the prison for the first time (p values: 0.020, 0.003, 0.016, 0.017, 0.047, respectively). Prisoners with a family history of prison entry had higher SCL-90 test all subscale scores, total scores and CTQ physical abuse subscale scores than the group without a family history of prison entry. Those exposed to violence in childhood and those who had attempted suicide before had higher scores on all scales. Those with a history of alcohol and substance use had higher total scores on the CTQ-emotional abuse and sexual abuse scale. According to the type of crime committed, only the CTQ-sexual abuse subscale scores differed. These subscale scores of the prisoners involved in more than one crime were higher than those involved in a single crime (p=0.030). The CTQ-sexual abuse subscale scores of those who were involved in the crime of willful homicide were calculated to be high (p=0.030). It was thought that preventing abuse, violence, and traumas in childhood may be necessary in reducing the tendency to crimes.

Coreference resolution deals with resolving mentions of the same underlying entity in a given text. This challenging task is an indispensable aspect of text understanding and has important applications in various language processing systems such as question answering and machine translation. Although a significant amount of studies is devoted to coreference resolution, the research on Turkish is scarce and mostly limited to pronoun resolution. To our best knowledge, this article presents the first neural Turkish coreference resolution study where two learning-based models are explored. Both models follow the mention-ranking approach while forming clusters of mentions. The first model uses a set of hand-crafted features whereas the second coreference model relies on embeddings learned from large-scale pre-trained language models for capturing similarities between a mention and its candidate antecedents. Several language models trained specifically for Turkish are used to obtain mention representations and their effectiveness is compared in conducted experiments using automatic metrics. We argue that the results of this study shed light on the possible contributions of neural architectures to Turkish coreference resolution.
