In this study, synthesis of CsPbBr3 perovskite single-crystals in a hydrobromic solution was investigated. Single-crystal growth experiments were conducted at the solution-nucleation border at a constant temperature or controlled cooling conditions. Working at the solution-nucleation border poses some practical difficulties such as fast precipitation. Often researchers opt to oversaturate the solution and use the supernatant after filtration. However, for conditions where the A to B ratio in the precursor solution for the formation of ABX3 is not 1, oversaturation is a waste of resources. In this work, precursor solutions were prepared for a particular working temperature and either held at a constant temperature or were gradually cooled to a predetermined temperature. The constant temperature method resulted in large and clear crystals as it reached saturation more slowly. Crystals prepared at high temperatures appeared to be more transparent with clear facets. Crystals prepared at low temperatures appeared to be opaque with multiple nuclei growth on a single-crystal. Seeding of the saturated solution resulted in larger single-crystals. The procedure adapted in this work made possible the production of clear CsPbBr3 perovskite single-crystals in a hydrobromic acid solution with sizes of up to 5 mm in only 10 days.

In this study, 292 female fig genotypes, (including foreign origins) in the fig field gene bank, were evaluated for qualitative characteristics in IPGRI (International Plant Genetic Resources Institute) definitions. These features are tree growth (tree growth power, branching, shoot length, etc.), leaf (leaf area, shape, number of lobes, etc.), fruit (fruit weight, color, ostiole opening, flesh thickness, etc.). Generally, non-metric definitions of these features were classified between certain ranges and expressed as percentage. For example; tree growth of genotypes was observed to be strong in 33% , and, apical dominance was determined in 17% of the genotypes. 60% of the genotypes have a medium (10-20cm) shoot length and, leaf area varies between 250-400cm2 in %53 . The color of the fruits was determined as yellow in 34%, green in 32%, purple in 21% and black in 13% of genotypes. Within the scope of this continuous project, the collection of multiple data continues., Bu çalışmada, incir arazi gen bankasında bulunan yabancı orijinliler de dahil olmak üzere 292 dişi incir genotipi, IPGRI (Uluslararası Bitki Genetik Kaynakları Enstitüsü) tanımlamalarındaki nitel özellikler yönünden değerlendirilmiştir. Bu özellikler ağaç gelişimi (ağaç büyüme gücü, dallanma, sürgün uzunluğu vb.), yaprak (yaprak alanı, şekli, lopların sayısı vb.), meyve (meyve ağırlığı, rengi, ostiol genişliği, tabla kalınlığı vb.) özellikleridir. Genellikle bu özelliklere ait metrik olmayan tanımlamalar belirli aralıklar arasında sınıflandırılarak, %’de olarak ifade edilmiştir. Örneğin; ağaç gelişiminin genotiplerin %33’ünde kuvvetli olduğu saptanmış, %17’sinde apikal dominansi görülmüştür. Genotiplerin %60’ı orta (10-20cm) sürgün uzunluğuna sahip olup, yaprak alanı %53’ünde 250-400cm2 arasında değişmektedir. Meyvelerin rengi, genotiplerin %34’ünde sarı, %32’sinde yeşil, %21’inde mor ve %13’ünde siyah olarak saptanmıştır. Bu sürekli proje kapsamında, çoklu verilerin alınmasına devam edilmektedir.

Objectives: To describe efficacy/safety of recombinant von Willebrand factor (rVWF) prophylaxis in patients with type 3 von Willebrand disease (VWD). Methods: This post hoc analysis of a phase 3 open-label trial provides a more detailed analysis of adults with type 3 VWD, categorized based on prior treatment at screening: “Prior On-Demand (OD)” (OD VWF; ≥3 documented spontaneous bleeding events [BEs] requiring VWF in previous 12 months) or “Switch” (plasma-derived [pd] VWF prophylaxis for ≥12 months). Annualized bleeding rates (ABRs) were evaluated during 12 months of rVWF prophylaxis versus historical data from medical records. Results: In the Prior OD group (n = 10), mean spontaneous ABR (sABR) for treated BEs was reduced by 91.6% (ratio, 0.08; 95% CI, 0.02–0.45) versus mean historical sABR. In the Switch group (n = 8), mean sABR for treated BEs was reduced by 47% (ratio, 0.53; 95% CI, 0.08–3.62). One non-serious adverse event (AE) was considered possibly related to rVWF. No treatment-related, fatal, or life-threatening serious AEs were reported, and no patient developed VWF inhibitors. Conclusions: rVWF prophylaxis reduced sABR in type 3 VWD patients previously treated with OD VWF therapy, and maintained a similar level of hemostatic control in those switching from pdVWF prophylaxis to rVWF prophylaxis.

Behcet's disease (BD), originally described by Hulusi Behcet in 1937, is a chronic relapsing inflammatory process of an immunologic syndrome and the involvement of the vascular system is called Vasculo-Behcet Disease. This is a retrospective study evaluating 21 patients diagnosed with Vascular-Behcet's disease who underwent endovascular treatment.This single-center study was conducted between January 2016 and January 2022. Early and mid-term endovascular outcomes of a total of 21 patients (16 males, 5 females with a median age of 42 years; range, 31 to 46 years), with a diagnosis of VBD, who underwent endovascular arterial repair in our hospital, were retrospectively analyzed. Follow-ups were scheduled for the first and sixth postoperative months and every 6 months thereafter. For symptomatic patients, imaging studies and additional interventions were planned. The primary outcomes were a procedural success and the requirement for re-intervention. Secondary outcomes were complications and all-cause of mortality.Twenty-one patients underwent endovascular repair. In this study, one balloon-expandable stent for brachial artery aneurysm (4,8%), 1 Viabahn graft for femoral artery aneurysm (4,8%), 2 tube endograft for ruptured iliac artery aneurysm (9,5%), 1 tube endograft (TEVAR) insertion at the aortic bifurcation for infrarenal abdominal aortic occlusion (4,8%), one Chimney-TEVAR for saccular arcus TAA (4,8%) and 7 TEVAR for saccular TAA (33,3%), 1 EVAR for an intact and symptomatic infrarenal AAA (4,8%), 1 EVAR (aorto-uniiliac) for ruptured iliac artery aneurysm (4,8%), 6 EVAR for ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysm (28,5%) were deployed. The technical success rate was 100% with a mean follow-up period of 50,4±10,7 months (8 - 66 months). The mean aneurysm diameter was 10,7±53mm. In the follow-up period, three patients presented with a hematoma at the insertion site of the sheath (14,3%). There were no early mortalities. Three patients required re-intervention (14,3%); one of these underwent open surgical repair due to a pseudoaneurysm of the access site (4,8%). The Kaplan-Meier analysis revealed freedom from reintervention rate as 94,1±5,7% at one year, 85,6±9,7% at three years, and 68,4±17,1% at five years.Awareness of the BD especially for vascular involvements in young ages is lifesaving. Endovascular therapy with proper medical treatment seems to be the treatment of choice according to the early and midterm successful results with low morbidity and mortality.

Invasive aspergillosis (IA) is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. In this study, we aimed to present our 10-year IA experience in a single center. Fifty-nine pediatric patients diagnosed with IA were included in the study. The male/female ratio of these patients was 42/17. The median age was 8.75 years. Hematologic malignancy was present in the majority of the patients (40/59, 68%). The mean duration of neutropenia was 18.5 days. Cytosine arabinoside was the most common immunosuppressive therapy directed at T-cells at the time of IA diagnosis. IA cases were categorized as proven (27%), probable (51%) and possible (22%) according to the 2008 EORTC/MSG criteria. The most common site of invasive aspergillosis was the lungs (78%) and nodules were the most frequent radiological finding (75.5%). In 38 (64.4%) patients receiving antifungal prophylaxis, prophylactic agents included fluconazole (30.5%), liposomal amphotericin B (23.7%), posaconazole (8.5%) and voriconazole (1.7%) Initial treatment was most commonly administered as monotherapy (69.5%). The median duration of antifungal treatment was 67 days. A total of 11 (18.6%) deaths occurred due to aspergillosis. We will probably continue to see IA frequently in pediatric patients with increased use of corticosteroids, biological agents, and intensive immunosuppressive chemotherapies.

The concept of a pair of curves, called as Bertrand partner curves, was introduced by Bertrand in 1850. Bertrand partner curves have been studied widely in the literature from past to present. In this study, we take into account of the concept of Bertrand partner trajectories according to Positional Adapted Frame (PAF) for the particles moving in 3-dimensional Euclidean space. Some characterizations are given for these trajectories with the aid of the PAF elements. Then, we obtain some special cases of these trajectories. Moreover, we provide a numerical example.

Günümüzde elektrikli araçların batarya performansı tartışma konusu olsa da şarj istasyonlarının çoğalması bu soruna bir çözüm olmuştur. Kablosuz güç transferi (KGT) yöntemi, elektrikli araç sektöründe yenilikçi teknolojilerden birisidir. Bu çalışmada, seri – seri topolojiye sahip manyetik rezonans kuplaj temelli KGT yöntemi, teorik ve deneysel olarak ele alınmıştır. Devre için tasarlanan bobinlerin arası 15 cm iken 40 kHz’de yaklaşık 36 W aktarılmıştır. Devrenin simülasyon sonuçları ile deneysel ölçümlerinin birbirini desteklediği gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca, söz konusu devre ile bir elektrikli arabanın bataryasının şarjı esnasında oluşan elektromanyetik alan maruziyeti incelenmiştir. Ansys HFSS ile gerçekleştirilen simülasyonlar sonucunda doku modelindeki en yüksek elektrik alan seviyesi yaklaşık 43 mV/m olarak elde edilmiştir. Tasarlanan KGT devresinin manyetik alan şiddeti ölçümleri sonucunda alıcı bobine yük olarak sadece batarya bağlı durumdayken 5 cm mesafede 11 μT ölçülmüştür. Yük olarak batarya ve motor birlikte bağlıyken 32 μT manyetik alan şiddeti elde edilmiştir.

Background β-thalassemia major and Niemann-Pick diseases have similar clinical and laboratory findings. We aimed to investigate the effects of sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase 1 (SMPD1) gene variants on the clinical and laboratory findings in patients with β-thalassemia major. Methods and results This study included 45 patients who were followed up for β-thalassemia major in our clinic. Plasma chitotriosidase, leukocyte acid sphingomyelinase, liver enzymes, ferritin, hemogram, biochemical parameters, SMPD1 gene variant analysis, cardiac T2* MRI, and liver R2 MRI were assessed in all patients. The SMPD1 gene c.132_143del, p.A46_L49del (c.108GCTGGC[4] (p.38AL[4])) (rs3838786) variant was detected in 9 of 45 (20.0%) patients. Plasma chitotriosidase, ferritin, acetyl aminotransferase, and alanine aminotransferase levels were significantly higher in patients with the gene variant than in those without (p Conclusion These results imply that the clinical and laboratory findings and some features of disease progression in patients with β-thalassemia major are similar to those of Niemann-Pick disease. They also suggest that SMPD1 gene c.132_143del, p.A46_L49del (c.108GCTGGC[4] (p.38AL[4])) (rs3838786) variant may underlie these clinical findings in patients with β-thalassemia major.

Ön bölge dişlerindeki şekil ve pozisyon bozukluklarının tedavisinde direkt kompozit rezin restorasyonlar uygulanabilmektedir. Bu olgu sunumunda; kompozit rezinler kullanılarak non-invaziv direkt yöntemle ön bölge polidiastema vakasının tedavisi anlatılmaktadır. Kliniğimize estetik şikâyetlerle başvuran 20 yaşındaki erkek hastanın özgeçmişinde sistemik bir hastalığı olmadığı öğrenildi. Hastaya tüm tedavi seçenekleri anlatıldıktan sonra direkt rezin kompozit restorasyonlar ile dişlerin estetik olarak restore edilmesine karar verildi. Restorasyon tamamlandıktan sonra bitirme ve cila işlemleri yapıldı. 6 ay sonra yapılan klinik değerlendirmede; restorasyonların fiziksel özellikleri, marjinal bütünlüğü ve estetik özellikleri kontrol edildi Kontrol muayenesinde yapılan restorasyonların hastanın estetik beklentilerini karşıladığı ve marjinal bütünlüğünün korunduğu belirlendi.

Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is the second most common skin cancer and it often occurs in sun-exposed areas such as head and neck skin. Invasive SCC located on breast skin is a rare entity and may clinically mimic breast cancer. We report a case of a 39 years old female with a non-eroded, vegetative, growing lesion on the right breast skin, initially mimicking breast cancer both clinically and histopathologically. After surgery with clear margins, adjuvant radiotherapy was administered, by considering the pathological risk factors for recurrence. At 14 months, the patient is disease-free and under regular follow-up. Invasive SCC of the breast skin is a rare entity and may have different etiology/behavior or directly develop de novo when compared to SCCs located on sun-exposed skin. Medical history and physical examination in conjunction with histopathological examination of the biopsy specimen are critical for the accuracy of the diagnosis and the correct treatment decision in patients presenting with a mass invading breast skin., Skuamöz hücreli karsinomu (SHK), 2. en sık cilt kanseridir ve sıklıkla baş- boyun gibi güneş gören bölgelerde ortaya çıkar. Meme cildinden kaynaklanan invazif SHK nadir bir tablodur ve klinik olarak meme kanserini taklit edebilir. 39 yaşındaki hastada; sağ memede non-erode, vejetatif, büyüyen lezyondan biyopsi alınmıştır ve klinik ve histopatolojik olarak meme kanserini taklit eden bu vaka sunulmuştur. Cerrahi sınırları temiz bir şekilde opere edilen hasta, rekürrens için risk faktörleri değerlendirilerek, adjuvant radyoterapi ile tedavi edilmiştir. 14 ay sonrasında, hastada halen nüks saptanmamış ve düzenli takiplerdedir. İnvazif meme cilt SHK’u nadir bir tablodur ve güneşe maruz kalan bölgede gelişen SHK’a göre farklı etiyoloji/ davranışa sahip olabilir. Meme cildinde kitle ile başvuran hastanın doğru tanı ve tedavisi için tıbbi hikaye ve fizik muayene ile birlikte histopatolojik değerlendirme kritiktir.

Bu çalışma, Ege Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Menemen Araştırma, Uygulama ve Üretim Çiftliği arazisi topraklarının bulunduğu Menemen Ovası’nda, tarımsal üretim stratejilerinin ve jeomorfolojik özelliklerinin etkisinde değişen alüviyal ana özdeği üzerindeki toprakların verimlilik durumlarını belirlemek amacıyla 2012 yılında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çiftlik arazisindeki ortalama 69,2 da genişliğindeki 30 parselde profil incelemesi yapılarak, ayrımlı tabaka ve horizonlardan toprak örnekleri alınmıştır. İncelenen toprak örneklerinde pH değerleri 7,32-8,90 arasında değişim gösterdiği, ortalama pH değerlerinin 7,97 olduğu ve toprak reaksiyonu (pH) dağılımları dikkate alındığında topraklarının çoğunlukla hafif alkalin karakterde olduğu görülmüştür. Toprakların elektrik iletkenlikleri 586,16-2860,0 µS cm-1 arasında değişirken (ortalama 590,21 µS cm-1), yaklaşık %90’lık bölümünün kum bünyeli olduğu belirlenmiştir. Toprakların toplam karbonat içerikleri %4,46-15,65 arasında değişmekte olup ortalama %8,57 değeri ile kireç bakımından zengin sınıfında yer almaktadır. Toprakların organik maddesi (TOM) içeriği %0,05-2,97 arasında değişim göstermiş ve ortalama organik madde içeriği %1,17 olarak belirlenmiştir. TOM açısından toprakların %60 gibi büyük bir bölümünün organik maddece fakir olduğu saptanmıştır. Toprakların toplam azot değerlerinin %0,012-0,130, alınabilir fosfor miktarının 0,15-8,06 mg kg-1, potasyumun 19,6-494,7 mg kg-1, kalsiyumun 1100,0-6534,0 mg kg-1 ve magnezyumun 56,7-937,4 mg kg-1 aralığında olduğu belirlenmiştir. Toprakların alınabilir sodyum konsantrasyonu 19,2-1746,0 mg kg-1, demir 1,27-34,62 mg kg-1, çinko 0,07-2,04 mg kg-1, mangan 0,50-16,24 mg kg-1 ve bakır 0,07-2,86 mg kg-1 olarak saptanmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarının, benzer jeolojik formasyona sahip ova toprakları için bir rehber niteliğinde olacağı düşünülmektedir.

There is limited data on the pattern and severity of myocardial injury in patients with COVID-19 vaccination associated myocarditis.We aimed to define the myocardial damage occurring after BNT162b2 vaccination, raise awareness about adverse reactions developing after vaccination, and determine the patterns and scope of Cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings.A total of 9 patients diagnosed with vaccine-associated myopericarditis were followed up.The mean age of the patient at diagnosis was 15.3 ± 1.0 (range: 14-17) years, and all patients were male. Seven patients presented with myocarditis symptoms after their second vaccine dose, one patient presented with pericarditis symptoms after his first dose, and the other patient presented with myocarditis symptoms after his booster dose. The median time at presenting to the hospital was 3 (range: 2-22) days. Seven (77.7%) patients had abnormal electrocardiography (ECG) findings, and the most prevalent finding was diffuse ST-segment elevation. Initial cardiac MRI results were abnormal in all patients, where 8 (88.8%) patients had late gadolinium enhancement, and 5 (55.5%) had myocardial edoema. Three patients showed local left ventricular wall-motion abnormalities. In their follow-up MRIs 3-6 months later, myocardial edoema was present in 2 (28.5%) patients, while late gadolinium enhancement was present in all patients (7/7, 100%, 2 patients did not have control MRI time). Hypokinetic segments were still present in one of the 3 patients. No negative cardiac events were observed in the short-term follow-up of any patient.Further follow-up evaluation and larger multicenter studies are needed to determine the clinical significance of persistent cardiac MRI abnormalities.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate clinical non-fermenting gram-negative isolates and antibiotic resistance profiles for three years in a tertiary hospital.Materials and Methods: A total of 3817 non-fermenting gram-negative strains isolated from various cultures between January 2017 and December 2019 in Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital were investigated retrospectively. Identification and antibiotic susceptibilities were performed using conventional methods and PhoenixTM 100 system (Becton Dickinson, MA, USA).Results: A total of 2201 (57.7%) P. aeruginosa, 1283 (33.6%) A. baumannii-calcoaceticus complex, 202 (5.3%) S. maltophilia and 131 (3.4%) B. cepacia complex strains were identified. The majority of strains were isolated from intensive care units (54.5%), followed by internal medicine (33.4%) and surgical services (12.1%). All A. baumannii-calcoaceticus complex species showed over 70% resistance to most antibiotics. In addition to β-lactam antibiotic resistance (generally over 30%), resistance to fluoroquinolones (30.4%) seemed to have particular importance. Co-trimoxazole showed below 10% resistance in S. maltophilia isolates. In B. cepacia complex, ceftazidime resistance increased in years (2018, 22.2%; 2019, 67.0%). Conclusion: The issue of antibiotic resistance cannot be won by just developing novel antimicrobials, but also by increasing the efficiency of current ones. The first step is to “diagnose” the current condition, like local surveillance studies., Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, üç yıllık dönemde bir üçüncü basamak hastanenin enfeksiyon etkeni nonfermenter gram negatif izolatlarını ve antibiyotik direnç profillerini belirlemektir.Materyal ve Metot: Balıkesir Atatürk Şehir Hastanesi’ndeki çeşitli kültürlerden, Ocak 2017-Aralık 2019 arasında, toplamda 3817 nonfermenter gram negatif organizma izole edilmiştir ve retrospektif olarak incelenmiştir. Tanımlama ve antibiyotik duyarlılıkları konvansiyonel yöntemler ve PhoenixTM 100 sistemi (Becton Dickinson, MA, ABD) ile yapılmıştırBulgular: Toplamda; 2201 (%57,7) P. aeruginosa, 1283 (%33,6) A. baumannii-calcoaceticus kompleks, 202 (%5,3) S. maltophilia ve 131 (%3,4) B. cepacia kompleks suşu izole edildi. Suşların %54,5’i yoğun bakım ünitelerinden izole edildi ve bunu dahili branş (%33,4) ve cerrahi branş servisleri (%12,1) takip etti. Tüm A. baumannii-calcoaceticus kompleks suşlarında test edilen altı antibiyotiğin dördüne %70’in üzerinde direnç belirlendi. Beta-laktam antibiyotik direncinin yanında (genellikle %30’dan fazla gözlendi), florokinolon direnci de (%30,4) yüksekti. S. maltophilia izolatlarında, kotrimaksazol direnci %10’un altında kaldı. B. cepacia kompleks izolatlarında, seftazidim direnci yıllar içinde artış gösterdi (2018, %22,2; 2019, %67,0).Sonuç: Antibiyotik direnci sorunu yalnız yeni antibiyotiklerin geliştirilmesi ile değil, ayrıca bilinen antibiyotiklerin etkinliğinin arttırılması ile kazanılabilir. Bu amaca yönelik işlemlerde ilk basamak, yerel sürveyans çalışmaları gibi güncel durumun tespitidir.

1,25(OH)2D3(Calcitriol), which is a broad regulatory molecule, plays a role in changing the efficacy of chemotherapeutic drugs. Cisplatin is one of a current standard chemotherapy regimen for bladder cancer. Increasing the effectiveness of the treatment and reducing the side effects to chemotherapeutics are of great importance in bladder cancer. We aimed to investigate the effect of the combination of cisplatin and calcitriol in order to create a possible advantage in treatment of bladder cancer.T24, ECV-304 and HUVEC cell lines were treated with calcitriol and cisplatin individually and in combination. Dose determination and combination treatments of calcitriol and cisplatin were evaluated using the MTT assay for cytotoxicity analysis on the cells. Annexin V-PI staining method was used for apoptosis determination by flow cytometry. Also the P-gp expression levels were determined by flow cytometry.The combination treatment increased the anti-proliferative efficacy compared to the efficacy in cisplatin alone in T24 cells and reduced the cytotoxicity in the HUVEC healthy cells compared to cisplatin alone. Combination treatment achieved significantly higher apoptosis rate in T24 cells compared with the rates in treatment of cisplatin alone. However apoptosis decreased in HUVEC cell line. P-gp ratios were increased in HUVEC and decreased in T24 cells with combination treatment compared to the numbers in the control cells. The rate of apoptosis and P-gp levels showed no significant change in ECV-304 cells.Our study revealed that the combination of calcitriol and cisplatin allows the use of cisplatin at lower doses in T24 bladder cancer cell line.

What is Love? Is it identifiable? or is it learned by living? It is not as easy as one might think to give a coherent answer to these questions. Scientists, thinkers and artists have defined love in different ways or have tried to explain it. Scientists say that the motive of love begins with birth. This is an important starting point in terms of revealing the source of love. From this point of view, it will contribute to our saying that love begins with the existence of the first human being. At first, people feel lonely and are alone with themselves. Later, as he gets to know the beings and objects outside himself, he enters into some relations with them. If there is no expression of love in these relationships, the person returns to his loneliness again, which creates a feeling of shame in him. This is also a source of guilt and restlessness. As a matter of fact, in the history of humanity, especially in our age, there are millions and billions of people whose needs are not met to love, be loved, adopted. If the conditions continue like this, man can become the preparer and implementer of the great slaughter, that is, the apocalypse. When the biological and trust needs of the person are not met, what can happen when the love and adoption needs are not met, drug addiction, aggression, murder, hippieism, conversion to primitive religions, robbery, war, conflict, etc., in advanced societies such phenomena and events. The reason for such undesirable facts and events is not only lovelessness. There are many economic, political, social and cultural reasons for this. However, one of the important reasons may be that the need to love, be loved and embraced is not met.

Elektrikli ve elektronik cihazların kullanım ömürleri hızlı dolmakta, yeni ürünlere hızlı geçiş olmakta ve elektronik atık (e-atık) olarakbilinen yeni bir atık türü ortaya çıkmaktadır. Çalışmanın amacı, akademisyenlerin ülkemizdeki e-atık düzenlemeleri ile e-atıkların insanve çevre sağlığına etkileri konusundaki bilgi ve düşüncelerini incelemektir. Bu çalışma Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi'nde görev yapanakademisyenler üzerinde gerçekleştirilmiş ve çalışmaya 267 akademisyen dahil edilmiştir. Veri toplamak için 50 sorudan oluşançevrimiçi bir anket kullanılmıştır. İstatistiksel analiz için Mann Whitney U, Kruskall Wallis, Pearson ki-kare, Fisher's Exact Test veSpearman korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların %45,3'ü e-atık geri dönüşümüne dikkat etmediğini, e-atık geri dönüşümünedikkat etmeyenlerin ise %90,1'i ülkemizdeki uygulamaları bilmediğini belirtmiştir. Katılımcıların sadece %4,9'u e-atık konusunda eğitimalmıştır. The aim of this study was to examine the knowledge and opinions of academicsconcerning e-waste regulations in Turkey and the effects of e-waste on human and environmental health. There are various factors that determine the concepts of normal and abnormal, and these are not constant factors. For this reason, it is debatable whether a definition is always valid for every society, for every person. Human behavior cannot be clearly separated into normal and abnormal. The duration and severity of these concepts also need to be clarified. A behavior can be considered abnormal to the extent that it deviates from the mean, lasts for a long time, and is severe. However, it is difficult to distinguish between normal and abnormal. Since no clear boundary can be drawn between them, it is not easy to answer the questions where normality begins and ends and where abnormality begins.

Balance and coordination assessment and training are used by physiotherapists in many different rehabilitation areas. Marmara Balance and Education System (MarBES) is a device developed to evaluate and improve balance and coordination. Aims: To examine the test–retest reliability of the MarBES device. Methods: Double-leg and single-leg (eyes open-closed) tests were applied to healthy young adult participants for balance testing on the MarBES device. Weight data is estimated from pressure sensors located in 4 different corners and a score is calculated with computer software for the individual’s center of gravity (center of pressure X, Y) and the amount of deviation from the center for each axis. Weight transfer to the target surface was measured for assessment of the participants’ coordination performance. Participants rested for 10 min and all measurements were repeated by the same evaluator. The obtained data were recorded and the reliability of the measurements was evaluated with Spearman’s rho correlation analysis. Results: A total of 40 healthy young individuals (28 female) with a mean age of 21 years were included. The balance assessments with MarBES showed moderate to good reliability (ICC: 0.535–0.903). The coordination assessment results showed moderate to good reliability (ICC: 0.575–0.712). Conclusions: Objective evaluation of balance and coordination parameters is very important in rehabilitation. Results of the study showed that the MarBES device developed by the researchers is a reliable method for the evaluation of balance and coordination in healthy young individuals.

Background: COVID-19 vaccines are recommended for people with multiple sclerosis (pwMS). Adequate humoral responses are obtained in pwMS receiving disease-modifying therapies (DMTs) after vaccination, with the exception of those receiving B-cell-depleting therapies and non-selective S1P modulators. However, most of the reported studies on the immunity of COVID-19 vaccinations have included mRNA vaccines, and information on inactivated virus vaccine responses, long-term protectivity, and comparative studies with mRNA vaccines are very limited. Here, we aimed to investigate the association between humoral vaccine responses and COVID-19 infection outcomes following mRNA and inactivated virus vaccines in a large national cohort of pwMS receiving DMTs. Methods: This is a cross-sectional and prospective multicenter study on COVID-19-vaccinated pwMS. Blood samples of pwMS with or without DMTs and healthy controls were collected after two doses of inactivated virus (Sinovac) or mRNA (Pfizer-BioNTech) vaccines. PwMS were sub-grouped according to the mode of action of the DMTs that they were receiving. SARS-CoV-2 IgG titers were evaluated by chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay. A representative sample of this study cohort was followed up for a year. COVID-19 infection status and clinical outcomes were compared between the mRNA and inactivated virus groups as well as among pwMS subgroups. Results: A total of 1484 pwMS (1387 treated, 97 untreated) and 185 healthy controls were included in the analyses (male/female: 544/1125). Of those, 852 (51.05%) received BioNTech, and 817 (48.95%) received Sinovac. mRNA and inactivated virus vaccines result in similar seropositivity; however, the BioNTech vaccination group had significantly higher antibody titers (7.175±10.074) compared with the Sinovac vaccination group (823±1.774) (p

It is known that physical activity (PA) in pregnancy is beneficial for both women and fetal health. For the optimal exercise prescription, healthcare professionals who are interested in obstetrics-gynecology should evaluate women carefully before making any exercise recommendations during pregnancy. If there aren't any contraindications, pregnant women should be encouraged to regular physical activity. This narrative review aimed to determine PA during pregnancy in Turkey. It was performed a literature search in the databases. A total of 29 original articles on PA during pregnancy in Turkey were included in this present study. Of these, 18 studies were considered for analysis. Two studies assessed PA levels in pregnancy objective/direct methods such as PA monitors and pedometers, and non-objective/indirect methods were used in all 18 studies. Regarding exercise types, the most preferred exercises during pregnancy were walking, breathing exercises, strengthening exercises, and stretching neck muscles. This narrative review revealed that the level of PA participation and the frequency of regular exercise during pregnancy in Turkey is low. More studies are needed to examine PA participation from various contexts during pregnancy in Turkey to guide interventions for improving maternal health.

Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) is a very rare high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma that is frequently located in the skin. Although most cases are associated with Merkel cell polyomavirus, there are also cases in which the virus cannot be detected. The purpose of presenting the case of MCC with primary nodal involvement is due to its rare presentation. A 59-year-old male patient presented to the hospital with painless mass in the neck. Imaging analyses revealed necrotic lymphadenopathies on the neck, measuring up to 4.5 cm in size. After an explorative surgery with preliminary diagnoses of lymphoma and squamous cell carcinoma , samples taken from the excised mass showed high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma morphology. In addition to neuroendocrine markers, CK7 and CK20 positivity were observed in the immunohistochemical tests performed. As a result, the case was evaluated in favor of MCC with negativity of markers performed to exclude other malignancies. Subsequently, a diagnosis of primary nodal MCC was made due to the absence of a different focus other than lymph node on PET imaging analysis. The differential diagnosis should be kept broad due to the histopathological morphology of small round cell malignant tumors. In addition in high-grade neuroendocrine carcinomas, the possibility of MCC should be ruled out especially if CK20 positivity is present. Although is has been reported that primary nodal MCC cases have a better clinical course compared to nodal metastatic cases with a known primary, there are limited case series studies on this topic. A multisystem approach is recommended for proper clinical management.

Aim: To examine lipid profile and monocyte to high density lipoprotein ratio ratio (MHR) values in stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients. Material and Method: Patients admitted to our hospital with the diagnosis of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) between 01.01.2014 - 01.01.2020 were included in the study and evaluated retrospectively. According to the COPD guideline, two main groups were formed as A+B and C+D. Demographic characteristics, hemogram, C-Reaktif protein (CRP), albumin, lipid profile values were analyzed. Result: In our study, there were 360 cases, 293 (81.4%) of which were male. The mean age was 67.61±8.7 years. There were 162 cases (45%) in the A+B group and 198 (55%) in the C+D group.White blood cell (WBC) , neutrophil, lymphocyte, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), monocytes, hemoglobin, CRP, Albumin, high density lipoprotein (HDL), monocyte to HDL ratio (MHR) were found to be different at the level of statistical significance, while cholesterol, triglyceride and low density lipoprotein (LDL) were not at this level of significance. When evaluated with multivariate regression analysis afterwards, it was observed that the statistical significance levels of MHR, CRP and albumin values continued. Conclusion: We think that high MHR rate, high CRP, and low albumin values in stable COPD patients may be a stimulant for increased disease severity.

Objective: The objective of this study was to reveal the effect of pruning intensity in terms of yield and quality in dried fig cultivation in winter pruning, one of the important techniques in fruit production. Material and Methods: Winter pruning (B3=3 buds/shoot, B5=5 buds/shoot, B7=7 buds/shoots) and two separate control applications (Bk (no pruning) and B0 (no tip taking application)) were performed at five different bud intensities in Sarılop fig varieties.Results: When dried fig fruit was examined as scrap, cracked and normal fruit, normal dried figs were found to be 74.49% for the B7 application. Total dried fruit yield was 11.34 kg/tree with highest B7 application and lowest 6.91 kg/tree with B3 application. According to the quality classification of the normal fruit, B7 has an Extra Grade product of 60.95%, followed by B5 with 55.58%, and the lowest was in Bk with 16.49%.Conclusion: Pruning trees at 7 buds/shoot stage came into prominence in terms of yield and quality. Likwise, all of the other pruning applications were successful in terms of quality as compared to control applications., Amaç: Temel meyvecilik yetiştirme tekniklerinde önemli bir yere sahip olan kış budamasında, budama yoğunluğunun kurutmalık incir yetiştiriciliğinde verim ve kalite açısından etkisini ortaya koymaktır.Materyal ve Yöntem: Sarılop incir çeşidinde kış budama uygulaması (B3=3 göz/sürgün, B5=5 göz/sürgün, B7=7 göz/sürgün) üç farklı yoğunlukta ve iki farklı kontrol uygulaması (Bk (hiç budama yapılmayan) ile B0 (uç alma yapılmayan uygulama)) olmak üzere beş farklı budama yoğunluğu gerçekleştirilmiştir.Araştırma Bulguları: Kuru incir meyvesi hurda çatlak ve normal meyve olarak incelendiğinde arası kuru normal(sağlam) meyve oranı en yüksek B7 uygulaması için% 74,49 bulunmuştur. Toplam kuru meyve verimi 11,34 kg/ağaç ile en yüksek B7 uygulamasında en düşük 6,91 kg/ağaç ile B3 uygulamasında gerçekleşmiştir. Normal meyvede kalite sınıflandırmasına göre B7’de %60,95 Ekstra Sınıf ürün elde edilmiş, B7’yi %55,58 ile B5 takip etmiş olup, en düşük %16,49 ile Bk’da gerçekleşmiştir.Sonuç: 7 göz/sürgün budaması verim ve kalite açısından ön plana çıkmıştır. Aynı şekilde diğer tüm budama uygulamaları da kalite açısından control uygulamalarına gore daha başarılı olmuştur.

Tek hücre C4 fotosentezi moleküler, biyokimyasal, anatomik özelliklerin bir bütünüdür. C4 fotosentezinin yaklaşık 25-30 milyon önce Oligosen’de CO2 seviyesindeki azalmaya bağlı olarak ortaya çıktığı tahmin edilmektedir. Yüksek yapılı bitkilerde, yüksek sıcaklıklarda fotosentezin verimliliği, Rubisco (Ribuloz 1,5 bisfosfat karboksilaz/oksijenaz) enziminin oksijenaz aktivitesi ile sınırlanmaktadır. Karasal bitkilerin bazıları fotorespirasyon ile kaybedilen karbon miktarını en aza indirmek için Rubisco’nun CO2 tutması için arttırıcı mekanizmalar geliştirmiştir ve tek hücre C4 fotosentezi Kranz anatomi olarak isimlendirilen mezofil ve demet kını adı verilen iki farklı hücre tipinde evrimleşmiştir. C4 fotosentezi dimorfik kloroplast yapısı, Kranz anatomi ve C4 yolunun biyokimyası olarak çeşitlilik göstermektedir. Karasal bitkilerde tek hücre C4 fotosentezi 1960’ların ortalarında Chenopodiaceae familyasına ait dört türde (Bienertia aralospica, Bienertia cycloptera, Bienertia sinuspersici, Bienertia kavirense), sucul ve fakültatif (hem oksijenli hem de oksijensiz ortamda yaşayan) tek çenekli bir bitki olan Hydrilla verticillata’ da keşfedilmiştir. Son yıllarda C4 bitkilerinin özelliklerinin ortaya konması için birçok çalışma yapılmaya devam edilmektedir. Bu derlemede, karasal ve sucul bitkilerde tek hücre C4 fotosentezi, C4 fotosentezinin mekanizması, kimyası gibi konuların incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Bu çalışma Yapı Bilgi Modellemesi (Building Information Modeling) ve sahip olduğu parametrik altyapının kavramsal tasarım aşamasındaki olanaklarının araştırılmasını amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda Yapı Bilgi Modellemesinin dünyadaki ve Türkiye’deki kabul ve kullanım oranları incelenmiş, geleneksel tasarım yöntemleri ve parametrik altyapıya sahip programlarla yapılmış tasarım yaklaşımları karşılaştırılmıştır. Yapı Bilgi Modelleme sistemi araçlarının, platformlarının ve ortamlarının hiyerarşik yapısı ortaya konmuştur. Tüm bu bilgiler ışığında parçadan bütüne, başka bir deyişle bina ölçeğinden kent ölçeğine, parametrik modül ve grid yapısıyla oluşan bir proje üstünde olanaklar deneyimlenmiştir. Bulgular sonucunda nesne tabanlı, parametrik veriler yardımıyla yapılan üretim süreci, daha tutarlı, pratik, uygulamada farklı alternatifler sunabilen, serbest ve kontrollü bir şekilde bilgi ve tasarımlar üretilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır.

Ebeveyn-çocuk ilişkilerinde ayrılma-bireyleşme, bireylerin kendi başlarına ve başkalarıyla etkileşim içinde yeterince işlev görmelerini sağlayan kapasitelerin kazanılması anlamına gelir. Ayrılma bireyleşme evrelerinin sağlıklı bir şekilde tamamlanamaması, çocukta ayrılıp uzaklaştığı zaman, ebeveynini fiziken ve/veya ruhen bıraktığı şekilde bulamayacağı inancı nedeniyle ortaya çıkan kaygılı ve yapışmacı tutuma, ayrılık anksiyetesine, yol açmaktadır. Ayrılık anksiyetesi, temel bağlanmadan ayrılma durumu ya da beklentisiyle ortaya çıkan yoğun kaygı yaşantısıdır. Kişinin yaşamında 18-25 yaş aralığında ergenlik dönemi ile genç yetişkinlik dönemi arasında kalan dönem “beliren yetişkinlik” olarak ele alınmaktadır. Kişi bu dönemde bir yandan ailesine olan bağımlılığından sıyrılmaya başlamakta, ve çeşitli alanlarda bağımsızlıklar kazanmakta ancak öte yandan yetişkin sorumluluklarını da henüz tam anlamıyla üstlenememekte ve üstlenmeyi de istemeyebilmektedir. Kişinin beliren yetişkinlikteki bireyleşme düzeyini, erken dönem ve ergenlik döneminde ayrılma-bireyleşme süreçlerinin ne denli başarılı atlatılıp atlatılmadığı belirlerken; erken dönemde ve ergenlikte ayrılık anksiyetesi taşımak ayrılma bireyleşme süreçlerinin önündeki en büyük engel olmaktadır. Ebeveynlere yönelik zorlantılı bir bağlılık hatta bağımlılık sergilemeye neden olan ayrılma anksiyetesinin beliren yetişkinlikte de ayrılma ve bireyleşmeyi güçleştireceği düşünülmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmamızın amacı beliren yetişkinlikte bireyin bireyleşme düzeyi ile çocuklukta ve yetişkinlikte yaşadığı ayrılık anksiyetesi arasındaki ilişkiyi ve özellikle çocukluk önemi ayrılık anksiyetesi ile yetişkinlik döneminde bireyleşme arasında yetişkinlik döneminde yaşanan ayrılık anksiyetesinin aracı rolünü incelemektir. Bu araştırma ilişkisel tarama modeli baz alınarak uygulanmıştır. Örneklem seçimi basit-rastgele örneklem seçimi türü kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini ülkemizdeki genç yetişkin bireylerden oluşurken, örneklemi İstanbul ilinde yaşayan 18-25 yaş arası, genç yetişkin, 300 bireyden oluşmaktadır. Katılımcılara demografik bilgi formu, Ayrılma Anksiyetesi Envanteri, Yetişkin Ayrılma Anksiyetesi Envanteri ve Beliren Yetişkinlikte Bireyleşme Ölçeği- Kısa Form uygulanmış, elde edilen veriler SPSS 25 progami ile analiz edilmiştir. Çalışma sonucu elde edilen bulgular sonucu çocukluk dönemi ayrılık anksiyetesi ile bireyleşme arasında yetişkinlik dönemi ayrılık anksiyetesinin aracı rol üstlendiği belirlenmiştir.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the histological structure and histochemical properties of gastric mucosa of Muraena helena. For this purpose, samples taken from cardia, fundus and pylorus which from the stomach regions of Muraena helena (N=10) were examined. Tissue samples taken at autopsy were fixed in 10 % neutral formaldehyde solution. After the routine histological tissue following procedure stages, tissues were taken into paraffin blocks and 5 µthick sections were prepared from the blocks. The preparations were stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin (H-E), Aldehyde Fuchsin (AF), Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS), KOH/PAS, Alcian Blue (AB) pH 0.5, AB 0.3 M, AB 0.06 M, AB pH 2.5, AF/AB pH 2.5, AB pH 1.0, PAS/AB pH 2.5 staining methods and photographed. In the tissue sections examined, it was observed that the stomach mucosa consists of four layers as tunica mucosa, submucosa, tunica muscularis and tunica serosa. With the histochemical staining methods applied, it was determined that the cardia, fundus and pylorus regions showed sulphate acidic, acidic sulphate and carboxylated acidic mucosubstances., Çalışmada Muraena helena’nın mide mukozasının, histolojik yapısı ve histokimyasal özelliklerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Muraena helena (N= 10)’ nın mide bölgelerini oluşturan kardiya, fundus ve pilorustan alınan örnekler incelenmiştir. Otopsi ile alınan doku örnekleri %10 nötral formaldehit solüsyonunda tespit edilmiştir. Rutin histolojik doku takip aşamalarından sonra dokular parafin bloklara alınarak bloklardan 5 µm kalınlığında kesitler hazırlanmıştır. Preparatlar Hematoksilen-Eosin (H-E), Aldehyde Fuchsin (AF), Periodic Acid Schiff (PAS), KOH, Alcian Blue (AB) pH 0.5, AB 0.3 M, AB 0.06 M, AB pH 2.5, AF/AB pH 2.5, AB pH 1.0, PAS/ AB pH 2.5 boyama yöntemleri ile boyanmış ve fotoğraflanmıştır. İncelenen doku kesitlerinde, mide mukozasının tunika mukoza, submukoza, tunika muskularis ve tunika seroza olarak dört katmandan oluştuğu gözlenmiştir. Uygulanan histokimyasal boyama yöntemleri ile kardiya, fundus ve pilorus bölgelerinin güçlü düzeyde sülfatlı asidik, asidik, sülfatlı ve karboksilli asidik mukosubstans özelliği gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.

Amaç: Bu çalışma ebelik öğrencilerinin sosyal medya kullanım amaçları ve sıklıklarının, mesleğe bakış açılarının, sosyal çevreden etkilenme durumlarının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla planlandı. Gereç ve Yöntem: Kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı tipteki bu araştırmada veriler 19 soruluk “Öğrenci Bilgi Formu” ile online ortamda gönüllü olan 126 ebelik öğrencisi ile yapıldı (N=260). Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatiksel yöntemler kullanıldı. Bulgular: Ebelik öğrencilerinin çoğunluğu sosyal ağlara akıllı telefonlardan erişiyor (%99.2) ve sosyal medyayı 3 yıl ve üzeri süredir (%84.1), günde 2-3 saatini ayırarak ve genellikle “arkadaşları ile sohbet etmek” amacıyla ve “Whatsapp” hesabını kullanıyordu. Öğrenciler ebelik ile ilgili yapılan sosyal medya eğlencelerinden rahatsızdı ve “toplum yargıları”ndan dolayı mesleğin olumsuz bir imaja sahip olduğunu düşünüyordu. Ebelik öğrencilerinin çoğu sosyal medya kullanımının mesleki örgütlenmeye olumlu etkisi olacağını bildirdi. Sonuç: Ebelik mesleğinde toplum yargılarının değiştirilmesi, gelecekte iyi bir konuma gelebilmesi ve mesleki örgütlenmenin artması için sosyal medyanın bilinçli kullanımın eğitimle desteklenmesi önerilebilir.

Introduction: The climacteric period is the time during which women exit the reproductive period and enter a stage of diminishing reproductive ability. Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate menopausal symptoms, depression, and quality of life in pre- and postmenopausal women living in two different countries. Materials and methods: The study sample comprised a total of 499 pre- and postmenopausal women between the ages of 40 and 65 living in Turkey and Poland. The data in this descriptive and comparative study were collected using a descriptive questionnaire, the Kupperman Index, the Beck Depression Inventory, and the WHOQOL-BREF Scale. Bu çalışma Gülten Dayıoğlu eserlerindeki kalıp söz varlığını kategorik olarak ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır. Kalıp sözler iletişimi düzenleyen dil birimleridir. Atasözü, deyim ikileme gibi kalıplaşmış ifadelerden farklı olarak kalıp sözlerin yaşamın her alanında ve anında kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Bu sebeple günlük hayatta sıkça kullanılan kültürel bir yanı bulunan kalıp sözler her ne kadar Türkçe ders kitaplarındaki bazı metinlerde yer bulsa da kalıp sözlerin MEB Türkçe öğretim müfredatında bir kazanım maddesi olarak yer almaması, kalıp söz ediniminin edebi eserler yoluyla düzenlenmesini ihtiyaç haline getirmektedir. Ortaokul düzeyinde öğrenim gören bireyler için Gülten Dayıoğlu eserleri, ruhsal ve bilişsel gelişimlerine olduğu kadar kalıp söz dağarcıklarının gelişimine de katkı sunabilir. Bu doğrultuda alan uzmanı 3 Türkçe öğretmeni ve bir Türkçe eğitimi bölümü öğretim üyesinin ortak önerisi olan Gülten Dayıoğlu’na ait ‘Yurdumu Özledim’ ve ‘Tuna’dan Uçan Kuş’ adlı eserlerdeki kalıp söz varlığı, kullanım alanları yönünden kategorik olarak incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın yöntemi betimsel araştırmaya göre desenlenmiş, verileri doküman inceleme yoluyla elde edilmiştir. Ulaşılan veriler içerik analizi ile ele alınıp yorumlanmıştır. Bulguların frekans değerleri tablolar halinde gösterilmiştir. Buna göre eserlerin ‘hayır dua ve iyi dilek bildiren’, ‘duygusal tepkileri dile getiren’, ‘dini inanç bildiren’ kalıp sözler yönünden yeterli olduğu görülmüştür. Her iki eserde de ‘batıl inanç bildiren’ kalıp sözlere yer verilmediği dikkat çekmektedir. Sonuç olarak eserlerin kalıp sözlerin kategorik olarak belirli durumlarda kullanılmak üzere kazandırılmasında etkili birer kaynak olduğu düşünülmektedir.

With the growth of interest in veterinary ethics, the teaching of ethics to veterinary students has become more important. This study collects comprehensive data about ethics education at veterinary faculties in Turkey to contribute to the international literature. A cross-sectional descriptive survey design is used to collect data via questionnaire. Of the 31 faculty members actively teaching ethics at 24 of the 29 veterinary faculties in Turkey (as of the end of 2021), 30 responded to the survey. By the end of 2021, ethics courses in 24 veterinary faculties in Turkey were conducted between the 7th and 10th semesters with similar content across the examined institutions. Of the 31 faculty members responsible for ethics education, 22 were ethicists. Theoretical lectures and multiple-choice tests were the most preferred methods for teaching and assessment. The most preferred learning outcome to be gained by students was ethical awareness. Integrity by ethicists and morality by faculty members from other departments were considered the most important virtues. The collected qualitative data regarding the strengths of ethics education and areas for improvement were varied and controversial. Ethics training should be an ongoing process throughout veterinary education. Applied ethics education should be comprehensively included in the curricula and carried out with the cooperation of faculty members working in clinical fields.

Purpose: This study aims to analyze the shape and morphometric features of the obturator foramen (OF) in dry human bones. Methods: Forty-six (Right:15, Left:31) dry human coxal bones were evaluated. Photographs of samples for morphometric measurements were taken using a transparent osteometric box (TOB) designed for this study. Horizontal and vertical diameters of OF were measured according to two different principles. Measurements were taken to determine the localization of OF on the coxal bone (hip bone) relative to the acetabulum, pubis, and ischium. Shape analysis (visual typing) of OF was performed with the conventional method. Bu çalışmada modern toplumlarda ahlakın toplumsal bir olgu olduğu anlayışından hareketle ahlaki alanın ve ahlaki erdemlerin, ulus devletin ve toplumun genel çıkarlarını ve yararını gözeten, toplumun genel normlarının biçimlendirdiği bir alan olduğu kabul edilmiştir. Bu bağlamda uzun savaş yıllarının her anlamda yıprattığı aynı zamanda iki savaş arası dönemin tüm zorluklarının yaşandığı Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi toplumunda çocuklara kazandırılması amaçlanan ahlaki erdemlerin başında dayanışma-yardımlaşma, tutumlu olma ve tasarruflu yaşama alışkanlığının kazandırılması gelmekteydi. Bu çalışmada Cumhuriyet yönetiminin önemle üzerinde durduğu çocukluğun bahsi geçen ahlaki erdemlerle inşası süreci dönemin çocuk süreli yayınlarının takibiyle ele alınmıştır. Bu makale metninde Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi toplumunda “içtimai, milli ya da vatani ahlak” olarak adlandırılan bu ahlak anlayışının kaynağının ne olduğu, hangi argümanlarla ortaya konulduğu, bu çalışmada odaklanılan dayanışma yardımlaşma tutumlu ve tasarruflu olma erdemlerinin, içerisinde bulunulan siyasal, sosyal ve ekonomik konjonktür ile olan bağının ne olduğu, bahsi geçen ahlaki erdemlerin süreli çocuk yayınlarında hangi söylemlerle, hangi etkinlikler ve kampanyalarla desteklendiği ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Ele alınan dönemin süreli çocuk yayınlarında, bahsi geçen ahlaki erdemlerin çocuklara kazandırılmasının neden önemli olduğu, bu konuda aile ve okulun üsteleneceği rollerin neler olduğu, hangi yöntemler, pratikler ve söylemler çerçevesinde çocuklara bunların öğretilmesi gerektiği ortaya konulmaya çalışılırken nihayetinde tüm bu çabaların aileye, topluma ve nihayetinde devlete olan katkılarının neler olduğu anlaşılmaya çalışılmıştır.

The relationship between oxidative stress and unexplained infertility (UEI) has not been studied in detail. This is the first study to evaluate dysfunctional high-density lipoprotein (HDL) by the myeloperoxidase (MPO) and paraoxonase (PON) ratio to investigate the role of oxidative stress in UEI. Materials and Methods: Patients with UEI (study group, n = 40) and male factor infertility (control group, n = 36) were included in this prospective study. Demographics and laboratory assessments were analyzed. Results: Total dosages of gonadotropin were higher in UEI when compared to the control group (p = 0.033). Number of Grade 1 embryos and the quality of blastocysts were lower in UEI than in the control group (p = 0.024, p = 0.020, respectively), whereas serum MPO/PON ratio was higher in UEI (p = 0.042). Stepwise linear regression analysis revealed that serum MPO/PON ratio levels could significantly predict the duration of infertility (p = 0.012). Conclusions: Serum MPO/PON ratio increased in patients with UEI, whereas the number of Grade 1 embryos and the quality of blastocysts decreased. Similar clinical pregnacy rates were found in both groups but the ET on day five is associated with higher clinical pregnancy rate in the male factor infertility.

Gastric (foveolar) metaplasia (GM) in the duodenum occurs in many cases where duodenitis develops histologically. However, few studies have investigated the presence of GM in celiac patients. This study aimed to determine the prevalence of GM and its relationship with clinicopathological parameters in untreated pediatric celiac patients. Duodenal biopsy specimens of 153 pediatric cases were analyzed. MUC5AC immunohistochemical staining was applied to all cases to detect GM. The patient group was evaluated in terms of the disease activity score (DAS), neutrophilic activity score (NAS), eosinophilic infiltration, and presence of intramucosal Brunner glands. Aim: The aim of our study was to investigate the pain, function and anxiety- depression levels in the early postoperative period of patients who undergone total knee arthroplasty(TKA). Materials and Methods: Fifty-eight patients between ages of 60-85 with TKA were included in this study. The study was completed with the data obtained from the records of 58 cases with a mean age of 69.93±6.24 years. Visual Analog Scale, Hospital for Special Surgery Knee Score Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale were used. Result: When the measurement scores were compared according to gender, no statistically significant difference was found in pain(p:0.49) and physical function(p:0.20). When anxiety-depression levels were compared, it was found that females got higher scores than males(p:0.00). While there was no significant relationship between the pain and knee scores; it was found that there was a positive moderate correlation between pain and anxiety-depression levels(r1:.520,r2:.514;p
