Complex impedance is an important and widely used technique for characterizing microbolometers and microcalorimeters. Often, complex impedance data from actual devices does not fit the simple one-body model of a TES microcalorimeter. In this paper we will review the range of possible two-body impedance models and compare them to our most recent measurements of microcalorimeters designed for gamma-ray spectroscopy. When possible, we indicate differences between models that may be used to identify the model that best describes a particular device. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
