The article discusses the 25th publication on flavoring ingredients that are generally recognized as safe (GRAS) under the Food Additives Amendment in the U.S. from the Expert Panel of the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association. It includes the results of the review of GRAS flavoring substances. It provides an analysis on chronic bioassays performed at the National Toxicology Program for pyridine.
