Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Vários são os processos que afetam a produtividade final da soja ( Glycine max (L.) Merrill), os quais são intrínsecos ao ambiente em que a cultura se encon tra. Discute se sobre a adubação estar relacionada com todo o sistema de cultivo, podendo ser antecipada ou parcelada na cultura antecedente à cultura de verão, visando proporcionar alto aporte de palha, incrementos de matéria orgânica, melhor fornecimento e mineralização de nutrientes, com boa disponibilidade e quantidade dos mesmos, contribuindo para altas produtividades. O objetivo foi avaliar diferentes níveis e formas de adubação para a cultura da soja com a cultura antecedente sendo a aveia preta ( Av ena Strigosa ). O experimento foi conduzido nos municípios de Bom Sucesso do Sul e Itapejara d’ Oeste, ambos na região S udoeste do Paraná. O delineamento experimental foi bifatorial 3x4, composto por três manejos de adubação (1 toda a adubação realizada na semeadura da aveia preta; 2 parcelamento da adubação com 50% na semeadura da aveia preta e 50 % na semeadura da soja; 3 aveia preta sem adubação e toda a adubação realizada na semeadura da soja), combinados com quatro níveis de adubação (0, 100, 200 e 30 0% da dose recomendada ), definidos de acordo com a análise do solo e expectativa de produção de soja de 4,1 a 5 t ha 1. Foram avaliados caracteres da aveia preta e soja, sendo os da aveia: massa seca; acúmulo e liberação de nutrientes da palhada; e os da s oja: rendimento de grãos; massa de mil grãos; estatura de plantas; número de nós produtivos; número de legumes por planta e número de grãos por legume. Para a cultura da aveia preta maior acúmulo de massa seca foi obtido em níveis de adubação maiores, com maior resposta quando a adubação foi toda realizada nesta cultura . O acúmulo de fósforo e potássio pela aveia preta aumentou linear mente com o aumento dos níveis de adubação. Para N, o maior valor acumulado ocorreu no nível de 200%, decrescendo no nível de 300%. A liberação de nutrientes pela palhada de aveia é dependente do nutriente e condições de clima, sendo o potássio altamente disponível e nitrogênio e fósforo sujeitos a imobilização microbiana. Já a cultura da soja, nas condições avaliadas, não aumen to u a produtividade com o aumen to nos níveis de adubação, antecipação e parcelamento da adubação, indicando que a adubação de sistema é prática viável no cultivo de soja. The traits of black oats and soybean were evaluated, being oa ts: dry matter ; accumulation and release of nutrients from straw; and soybean traits: grain yield; thousand grains weight ; plants height ; number of productive nodes; number of pods per plant and number of grains per pod For the cultivation of black oats greater accumulati on of dry matter was obtained at higher levels of fertilization, with higher response when anticipated fertilization. The accumulation of phosphorus and potassium in black oats showed a linear type, with increases in fertilization levels . For N the highest accumulated value was observed at the 200% level, decreasing at the 300% level. The release of nutrients by oat straw is dependent on nutrient and climatic conditions, with potassium being highly available and nitrogen and phosphorus be ing subject to microbial immobilization. On the other hand, the soybean crop, under the conditions evaluated, does not increase the productivity with the increase of the levels of fertilization, anticipation and fertilization, indicating that the fertilization of the system is viable practice in soybean cultivation.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) O clima, a genética e o manejo determinam a produção e qualidade de grãos de cevada para fins cervejeiros, dessa forma, o estudo das interferências ambientais no rendimento de grãos com base em parâmetros de adaptabilidade e estabilidade e análise de correlação e trilha entre os caracteres auxilia na formulação de critérios de seleção de genótipos promissores e indicação de cultivares. O presente estudo tem como objetivo avaliar a adaptabilidade e estabilidade de genótipos de cevada e verificar as relações de causa e efeito entre caracteres sobre o rendimento de grãos em quatro ambientes. O experimento foi conduzido no delineamento experimental blocos ao acaso com três repetições, em cada local e ano. Para avaliação da adaptabilidade e estabilidade, utilizaram-se três métodos: Annicchiarico (1992), Eberhart e Russel (1966) e GGE Biplot - mean and instability (YAN, 2001). A cultivar Danielle destacou-se em relação a estabilidade e média produtiva, com adaptabilidade ampla. As linhagens se mostraram promissoras pela capacidade de adaptabilidade a ambientes favoráveis e/ou desfavoráveis, destacando-se Lin03, Lin04 e Lin09 em ambientes desfavoráveis e a Lin07 em ambientes favoráveis. Para a análise de trilha, utilizou-se os caracteres explicativos: altura de planta (ALT), peso hectolitro (PH), número de espigas por m2 (NEM), número de grãos por espiga (NGE), teor de proteínas (PROT) e peso de mil grãos (PMG). Efetuou-se uma análise de trilha para cada local e ano. Os componentes de rendimento variaram na explicação do rendimento de grãos, em cada local e ano, demonstrando que a seleção baseada nos caracteres em estudo deve ser analisada criteriosamente de forma individual em relação ao local e ano, com base em uma média histórica. Climate, genetics and management determine the production and quality of barley grains for brewing purposes, thus, the study of environmental interferences in grain yield based on parameters of adaptability and stability and analysis of correlation and trail between the characters helps in the formulation of selection criteria for promising genotypes and indication of cultivars. The present study aims to evaluate the adaptability and stability of barley genotypes and to verify the cause and effect relationships between characters on grain yield in four environments. The experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with three replicates at each site and year. Three methods were used to assess adaptability and stability: Annicchiarico (1992), Eberhart and Russel (1966) and GGE Biplot - mean and instability (YAN, 2001). The cultivar Danielle stood out in relation to the stability and productive average, with wide adaptability. The lines were promising for their adaptability to favorable and / or unfavorable environments, especially Lin03, Lin04 and Lin09 in unfavorable environments and Lin07 in favorable environments. For the analysis of the trail, the explanatory characteristics were: plant height (ALT), hectoliter weight (PH), number of spikes per m2 (NEM), number of grains per spike (NGE), protein content and a thousand grain weight (PMG). A trail analysis was performed for each location and year. The yield components varied in the explanation of the yield of grains, in each place and year, demonstrating that the selection based on the characters under study should be carefully analyzed individually in relation to the place and year, based on a historical average.

A Artemisia annua é uma planta que produz artemisinina e diversos outros compostos através de seu metabolismo especializado, utilizados comercialmente para o controle da malária. Diversas pesquisas têm sido desenvolvidas para aclimatação e melhoramento desta espécie no CPQBA/Campinas e UTFPR/Pato Branco. O presente estudo objetivou correlacionar os caracteres fisiológicos, agronômicos e fitoquímicos com o teor e rendimento de artemisinina na seleção e melhoramento de A. annua L. Para a seleção das melhores plantas foi utilizada Seleção Massal Estratificada com 30 estratos e 33 plantas por estrato. A primeira seleção de plantas foi realizada utilizando critérios agronômicos com roguing subsequente das plantas não selecionadas e bordaduras. Fatores bióticos e ambientais impactaram a avaliação das plantas, restando 138 plantas com sementes viáveis, nas quais foram realizadas as avaliações fisiológicas, agronômicas e fitoquímicas (cromatografia de camada delgada) e selecionadas 50 plantas para análise de teor de artemisinina e ácido dihidroartemisínico em HPLC e perfil fitoquímico de óleo essencial por GC-MS. As análises estatísticas de média foram realizadas utilizando a plataforma R, análises de correlação com o software Genes e índices de seleção com o aplicativo GGE Biplot. Os testes e análises de artemisinina com TLC apresentaram correlação positiva fraca com as análises de HPLC. O programa IMAGEJ apresentou alta eficiência na quantificação de artemisinina por TLC. Os caracteres fisiológicos não apresentaram correlação com teor (ART) e rendimento (REND) de artemisinina. Entre os caracteres agronômicos, peso seco de folha (PSF) e Biomassa apresentaram correlação negativa fraca com ART e os caracteres PSF, Biomassa, diâmetro de caule e ART apresentaram correlação positiva com REND. Entre os caracteres fitoquímicos, ácido dihidroartemisínico apresentou correlação positiva fraca com ART, Cis-cadin-4-en-7-ol correlação com ART e REND, rendimento de óleo (OLS) correlação com REND e ART correlação com REND. A análise de média dos genótipos por caracteres morfológicos apresentou média 62% maior para o caractere 1,8 cineol nas plantas de caule roxo, comparada com as verdes. O teor e rendimento médios de artemisinina dos genótipos analisados foi de 0,73% e 26,15 kg.ha-1, respectivamente. O desempenho no teor e rendimento de artemisinina dos 20 melhores genótipos, classificados em teor de artemisinina por HPLC, foram de 29% e 27% superiores, respectivamente, comparado aos 50 genótipos analisados. O teor médio de óleo essencial por planta foi de 0,72%, com rendimento médio de 26,37 kg.ha-1. Os componentes principais do óleo essencial da variedade CPQBA 3 foram a cânfora, germacreno D, trans-cariofileno, trans-β-farneseno e 1,8 cineol. Artemisia annua is a plant which produces artemisinin and various other compounds by its specialized metabolism, used commercially to malaria control. Several researches have been developed to acclimatise and improve this species in CPQBA/Campinas and UTFPR/Pato Branco. The present study aimed to correlate the physiological, agronomic and phytochemical characteristics with the content and yield of artemisinin (ART e REND) in the selection and improvement of A. annua. For the selection of the best plants it was used the Stratified Mass Selection with 30 strata and 33 plants per stratum. The first plants selection was performed using agronomic criteria with subsequent roguing of the unselected plants and borders. Biotic and environmental factors impacted the viability of plants evaluation, leaving 138 plants with viable seeds, in which the physiological, agronomic and phytochemical evaluations were performed (thin layer chromatography – TLC) and selected 50 plants for analysis of artemisinin and dihydroartemisinic acid content in HPLC and essential oil phytochemical profile by GC-MS. The statistical analyzes of mean were performed using the R platform, correlation analyzes with the Genes software® and selection indexes with the GGE Biplot app. Tests and analyzes of artemisinin with TLC showed a weak positive correlation with HPLC analyzes. The IMAGEJ program showed high efficiency in the quantification of artemisinin by TLC. The physiological characters showed no correlation with ART and REND. Among the agronomic characters, leaf dry weight (PSF) and Biomass presented weak negative correlation with ART, and the characters PSF, Biomass, stem diameter and ART showed a positive correlation with REND. Among the phytochemical characters, dihydroartemisinic acid presented weak positive correlation with ART, Cis-cadin-4-en-7-ol correlation with ART and REND, oil yield (OLS) correlation with REND, and ART correlation with REND. The average analysis of the genotypes by morphological characters showed a 62% higher average for the character 1.8-cineole in the plants of purple branch, compared to the green ones. The average of artemisinin content and yield of the analyzed genotypes was 0.73% and 26,15 kg.ha-1 (D.B.), respectively. The artemisinin content and yield of the 20 best genotypes, classified in artemisinin content by HPLC, were 29% and 27% higher, respectively, compared to the 50 genotypes analyzed. The average oil content per plant was 0.72%, with an average yield of 26.37 kg.ha-1 (D.B.). The major components of CPQBA 3 essential oil were camphor, germacrene D, trans-caryophyllene, trans-β-farnesene and 1.8-cineole.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) A presente dissertação teve como objetivo realizar o mapeamento, desenvolvimento de marcadores SNPs e caracterização fenotípica de resistência das PIs 200492 (Rpp1), PI 594538A (Rpp1-b), PI 587880A (Rpp1-b) e PI 594723 (Rpp1-?). As populações avaliadas foram obtidas através de cruzamentos simples, entre genitores contrastantes quanto a resistência à ferrugem asiática da soja, utilizando-se como genitor suscetível em comum para todas as hibridações a linhagem GDM15I057. As populações foram classificadas fenotipicamente quanto a sua resistência em classes discretas, conforme a observação das reações de imunidade (IM), reddish-brown (RB), e de suscetibilidade (TAN), posteriormente transformadas em escala linear para análise de dados. Através da genotipagem por sequenciamento dos parentais contrastantes quanto resistência a Phakopsora pachyrhizi, foram desenvolvidos marcadores genotípicos compatíveis com a plataforma de genotipagem KASP. Utilizando-se o Software GGEBiplot, executou-se a análise de associação entre os cruzamentos propostos e tipos de lesão observadas. Utilizando o pacote R/qtl do Software R, realizou-se a análise de mapeamento de QTL por intervalo padrão. Estimou-se a similaridade genética das populações, das fontes de resistência, através de análise de agrupamento pelo método UPGMA. Os indivíduos descendentes da população PI 200492 (Rpp1) x GDM15I057 associaram-se à reação de resistência RB4 e reação de suscetibilidade, evidenciando a menor resistência ao patógeno desta fonte. As populações PI 594538A (Rpp1-b) x GDM15I057 e PI 587880A (Rpp1-b) x GDM15I057, apresentaram elevados níveis de resistência, associando-se às reações fenotípicas de imunidade e RB1. Os descendentes da hibridação PI 594723 x GDM15I057 associaram-se com a reação a infecção MIX, indicando resistência apenas a determinadas raças P. pachyrhizi nesta fonte. Os resultados do mapeamento indicam a posição dos genes de resistência da fonte PI 200492 (Rpp1) entre GDM_KASPAR40 e S1_849484912; PI 594538 (Rpp1-b) teve seu alelo de resistência mapeado entre S1_847603973 e S1_849484912; o mapeamento da fonte PI 587880A (Rpp1-b) constatou valores de LOD significativos entre os marcadores S1_847984806 e S1_849484912; a fonte PI 594723 (Rpp1-?), teve seu gene de resistência mapeado entre os marcadores S1_847603973 e S1_849109823. O agrupamento genotípico entre fontes de resistência PI 594538A (Rpp1-b) e PI 587880A (Rpp1-b), demonstrou que ambas apresentam elevada similaridade genotípica. Os resultados observados pela análise de agrupamento indicam a fonte PI 594723 como portadora de um novo alelo de Rpp1. This dissertation aimed to perform the mapping, development of SNPs and phenotypic resistance characterization of PIs 200492 (Rpp1), PI 594538A (Rpp1-b), PI 587880A (Rpp1-b) and PI 594723 (Rpp1-?). Populations evaluated were obtained through simple crosses between contrasting parents for soybean Asian rust resistance, using as a common susceptible parent for all hybridizations the line GDM15I057. Populations were phenotypically classified as resistance in discrete class, according to the observation of the reactions of immunity (IM), reddish-brown (RB), and susceptibility (TAN), later transformed into a linear scale for data analysis. Through genotyping by sequencing, of contrasting parents regarding resistance to Phakopsora pachyrhizi, genotypic markers were developed with the KASP genotyping platform. Using the GGEBiplot Software, association analysis was performed between the proposed crosses and the types of lesions observed. Using the software package R/qtl of R Software, the QTL mapping by standard interval. The genetic similarity of the populations, of resistance sources, was estimated through grouping analysis by the UPGMA method. Individuals of population PI 200492 (Rpp1) x GDM15I057 were associated with the resistance reaction RB4 and susceptibility reaction, evidencing the lower resistance to the pathogen of this source. The populations of PI 594538A (Rpp1-b) x GDM15I057 and PI 587880A (Rpp1-b) x GDM15I057, presented high levels of resistance, associating with the phenotypic reactions of immunity and RB1. The descendants of the cross between PI 594723 x GDM15I057 were associated with the reaction to MIX infection, indicating resistance only to certain P. pachyrhizi in this source. The mapping results indicate the position of PI source resistance genes 200492 (Rpp1) between GDM_KASPAR40 and S1_849484912; PI 594538 (Rpp1-b) had resistance allele mapped between S1_847603973 and S1_849484912; the mapping of the PI 587880A (Rpp1-b) found significant LOD values between markers S1_847984806 and S1_849484912; the source PI 594723 (Rpp1-?) had resistance gene mapped between the markers S1_847603973 and S1_849109823. Genotypic grouping between the resistance sources PI 594538A (Rpp1-b) and PI 587880A (Rpp1-b) showed that both have high genotypic similarity. The results observed by the cluster analysis indicate the source PI 594723 as carrier of a new Rpp1 allele.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Ensaios multi-ambiente (MET) são conduzidos por empresas de melhoramento genético de soja com o intuito de testar e selecionar genótipos em uma região-alvo (TR). Dados provindos de MET são volumosos e precisam ser analisados com métodos estatísticos precisos. Um dos métodos amplamente utilizados para avaliar dados de MET é denominado GGE biplot. Análises GGE permitem avaliar genótipos, locais de teste e a formação de mega-ambientes (ME). Os objetivos deste trabalho foram: I) Avaliar o uso de análises GGE biplot para o melhoramento genético, indicando quais parâmetros em termos de singular value partitioning (SVP), data centering e data scaling methods são mais apropriados para cada análise; II) avaliar a formação de MEs para a região edafoclimática (REC) 402, no estado do Mato Grosso e, III) avaliar qual o melhor grupo de maturidade relativa (GMR) para cada REC nas macrorregiões (MR) 1, 2, 3 e 4 para cultivo da soja no Brasil. Todas as análises foram realizadas com o software GGEBiplot e plataforma R, com ensaios conduzidos entre as safras de 2012/13 a 2016/17. Para as análises GGE biplot, com o objetivo de avaliar locais de teste ou formação de MEs, deve ser utilizado o SVP com valor de f =0 e para genótipos f = 1. O data centering method com foco em G + GE é o mais adequando para todas as análises GGE de dados fenotípicos, independente da análise ter foco nos locais de teste (ambientes) ou genótipos. Quando o objetivo da análise é avaliar apenas a associações entre vetores (ambientes) ou formação de MEs, os scalings 1 e 2 são mais adequados. Quando o objetivo é avaliar apenas a discriminância, os scalings 0 e 4 são mais adequados. Uma avaliação conjunta pode ser realizada com o scaling 2. Para a avalição de genótipos, os scalings 1 e 2 são mais adequados, especialmente em conjuntos de dados desbalanceados. Todos os parâmetros devem sempre ser apresentados junto as análises para que interpretações corretas possam ser extraídas. A avaliação de ME foi realizada via análises que sumarizam os dados entre anos, com dados de três anos. Identificaram-se dois MEs na REC 402, onde o principal fator determinante dos MEs é a incidência de nematoides do gênero Heterodera glycines, altitude e nível de tecnologia dos agricultores. Assim, a seleção e recomendação de genótipos deve ser realizada em cada ME e não em toda a REC como um único ambiente. A seleção e recomendação em cada ME aumenta a eficiência de seleção de genótipos com adaptabilidade ampla e específica, melhorando a média produtiva em toda a TR. Dados de rendimento de grãos de 133 genótipos, com GMR variando entre 4.8 a 9.1, foram utilizados para definir quais os melhores GMR para o cultivo nas principais regiões produtoras de soja no Brasil. Os ensaios foram conduzidos em 83 locais nas quatro principais macrorregiões sojícolas do Brasil. Os melhores GMR foram identificados para cada REC. Em latitudes menores, GMR maiores devem ser utilizados para maiores rendimentos. Da mesma forma, em latitudes semelhantes, mas em altitudes diferentes, deve-se adequar o GMR para maiores produtividades. Para cada macrorregião os melhores GMRs foram: MR1, genótipos com GMR entre 5.3 e 5.9; MR2, genótipos com GMR 6.0 a 7.0; MR3, genótipos com GMR 7.1 a 7.9 e MR4, genótipos com GMR 7.7 a 8.4. Os melhores GMR para cada REC foram semelhantes aos das macrorregiões, variando de acordo com a altitude e outros fatores bióticos. Multi-environment trials (MET) are performed by soybean breeding companies to evaluate and select genotypes in a target region (TR). Data from MET are large and need be evaluated by accurate statistical methods. A widely used method to evaluate data from MET is called GGE biplot. GGE analyses allows the evaluation of genotypes, test locations and mega-environment (ME) formation. The aims of this work were: I) Evaluate the use of GGE analyses for plant breeding, indicating which parameters, in terms of singular value partitioning (SVP), data centering and data scaling methods, are appropriate for each analysis; II) Evaluate the formation of MEs for the edaphoclimatic region (ECR) 402 on Mato Grosso (MT) state; and, III) Evaluate and indicate the best maturity groups (MG) for each ECR on macroregions 1, 2, 3 and 4 of soybean cultivation in Brazil. All analyses were performed in GGEBiplot software and R platform, with trials performed between the 2012/13 to 2016/17 crop seasons. When the objective of GGE biplot analyses is to evaluate ME formation or test locations, the SVP with a f value = 0 should be used. When the focus is the evaluation of genotypes, f = 1 should be used. The data centering with focus in G + GE is appropriate to all GGE analyses from phenotypic data, independent if the focus of the analyses is to evaluate test locations or genotypes. When the objective of the analysis is to evaluate only the association between vectors (test location) or ME formation, the scalings 1 and 2 are the best options. When the objective is to evaluate only the discrimination power, scalings 0 and 4 are appropriate. Together analyses can be performed with scaling 2. To evaluate genotypes, the scalings 1 and 2 are more appropriate, especially when the dataset are unbalanced. All parameters should be present together with the analyses (biplots) for the correct interpretation of the biplots. The ME formation analysis were performed summarizing the results between years, with data from three years. Two MEs were identified on ECR 402, where the main factors that delimit ME are: presence of cist nematodes (Heterodera glycines), altitude and management level of farms. Thus, the selection and recommendation of genotypes should be realized within each ME and not in the whole ECR. The selection and recommendation in ME improve the selection efficiency of genotypes with widely and specific adaptation, improving the mean yield in all TR. Grain yield data from 133 genotypes with MG between 4.8 to 9.1 were used to define the best MG for cultivation in the macroregions of soybean production in Brazil. Trials were performed at 83 locations in the four main macroregions for soybean cultivation in Brazil. The best MG were identified for each ECR. With low latitude, higher MG need be used to improve grain yield. In the same way, in similar latitudes, but in different altitudes, the MG should be suitable, according the variations. For each macroregion (MR), the best MG were: MR1, genotypes with MG between 5.3 to 5.9; MR2, genotypes with MG 6.0 to 7.0; MR3, genotypes with MG 7.1 to 7.9, and MR4, genotypes with MG 7.7 to 8.4. The best MG for each ECR was similar of macroregions, varying according altitude and other biological factors.

Conselho Nacional do Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq) Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Os incrementos de produtividade na cultura da soja ao longo dos anos são resultado dos constantes esforços dos programas de melhoramento em disponibilizar cultivares mais produtivas e adaptadas aos produtores. Todos os anos, centenas de linhagens são avaliadas em ensaios multi-ambiente (MET) por programas de melhoramento, visando identificar os genótipos mais adaptados para cada região de interesse. Neste sentido, conhecer a adaptabilidade e estabilidade dos genótipos em cada região-alvo, bem como, os melhores locais de teste, são fundamentais para os incrementos de produtividade da cultura. Assim, o objetivo deste trabalho foi identificar os melhores locais de teste para a condução de MET para soja na região Sul do Brasil, bem como identificar os melhores genótipos de soja para cultivo em cada região edafoclimática (REC). Foram utilizados dados de ensaios de Valor de Cultivo e Uso (VCU), conduzidos entre as safras 2012-13 a 2016-17. Todos os ensaios foram conduzidos em delineamento de blocos ao acaso, com três repetições. As análises estatísticas foram realizadas com o software GGEbiplot. Os melhores locais para condução de ensaios de VCU são: Macrorregião 01, REC 101: Cachoeira do Sul; REC 102: Ronda Alta, Passo Fundo, Santa Bárbara do Sul e Ciríaco; e REC 103: Castro. Macrorregião 02, REC 201: Rolândia, Marechal Cândino Rondon, Campo Mourão, Santa Terezinha de Itaipu, Palotina, Floresta e Londrina; REC 202: Naviraí; e REC 204: Ponta Porã e Maracajú. Os genótipos mais próximos do ideal foram: Macrorregião 01, REC 102: 68I70RSF IPRO; REC 103: 54I52RSF IPRO e NS 5959 IPRO. Macrorregião 02, REC 201: 63I64RSF IPRO, REC 204: 7166RSF IPRO, 63I64RSF IPRO e M6210IPRO. O genótipo 68I70RSF IPRO apresentou o maior RG nos locais Santa Bárbara do Sul e Passo Fundo, na REC 102. Na REC 103 o genótipo 54I52RSF IPRO foi o melhor em Castro. Já o genótipo NS 5959 IPRO foi o melhor em Castro e Vacaria. Na REC 201, o genótipo 63I64RSF IPRO apresentou RG mais elevado nos locais Mamborê, Marechal Cândido Rondon e Londrina em 2013, 2014 e 2015, respectivamente. Na REC 204, em Dourados, os genótipos 7166RSF IPRO, 63I64RSF IPRO e M6210IPRO apresentaram o maior RG nos anos de 2013, 2014 e 2015, respectivamente. Productivity increases in soybean crop over the years are the result of the constant efforts of breeding programs to provide more productive and adapted cultivars to producers. Each year hundreds of strains are evaluated in multi-environment trials by breeding programs to identify the genotypes best suited to each region of interest. In this sense, knowing the adaptability and stability of the genotypes in each target region, as well as, the best test sites, are fundamental for the increments of crop productivity. Thus, the objective of this work was to identify the best test sites for conducting multi-environment trials for soybean in southern Brazil, as well as to identify the best soybean genotypes for each region and edaphoclimatic cultivation. Data from cultivation and use value (VCU) trials conducted between the 2012-13 and 2016-17 harvests were used. All assays were conducted in a randomized complete block design with three replicates. The statistical analyzes were performed with the GGEBiplot software. The best venues for conducting VCU trials are: Macroregion 01, REC 101: Cachoeira do Sul; REC 102: Ronda Alta, Passo Fundo, Santa Bárbara do Sul and Ciríaco; and REC 103: Castro. Macroregion 02, REC 201: Rolândia, Marechal Cândino Rondon, Campo Mourão, Santa Terezinha de Itaipu, Palotina, Floresta and Londrina; REC 202: Navirai; and REC 204: Ponta Porã and Maracajú. The genotypes closest to the ideal were: Macroregion 01, REC 102: genotype 68I70RSF IPRO; REC 103: 54I52RSF IPRO and NS 5959 IPRO genotypes. Macroregion 02, REC 201: Genotype 63I64RSF IPRO, REC 204: genotypes 7166RSF IPRO, 63I64RSF IPRO and M6210IPRO. The 68I70RSF IPRO genotype presented the highest RG in the Santa Bárbara do Sul and Passo Fundo sites in REC 102. In REC 103 the 54I52RSF IPRO genotype was the best in Castro and the NS 5959 IPRO genotype the best in Castro and Vacaria. In REC 201, genotype 63I64RSF IPRO showed the highest RG in the Mamborê, Marechal Cândido Rondon and Londrina sites in 2013, 2014 and 2015, respectively, and at REC 204 in Dourados, genotypes 7166RSF IPRO, 63I64RSF IPRO and M6210IPRO had the highest RG in 2013, 2014 and 2015, respectively.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) A cultura do trigo apresenta grande importância econômica no Brasil, sendo que o país produz, anualmente, cerca de 6 milhões de toneladas. Contudo, essa produção é suficiente para atender a aproximadamente 50% da demanda. Essa situação faz com que o Brasil seja um dos maiores importadores deste cereal. O melhoramento genético da cultura tem grande importância na tentativa de aumentar a produção, a produtividade e a qualidade do trigo produzido. Além disso, aumentar a eficiência dos programas de melhoramento é essencial para reduzir os custos e o tempo necessários para o lançamento de novas cultivares. Neste sentido, soluções para a correta avaliação em etapas onde há baixa disponibilidade de sementes ou onde o número de linhagens a serem avaliadas é grande são necessárias. Desta forma, os objetivos deste trabalho foram: 1) avaliar o ganho genético para a cultura do trigo no Brasil, nos últimos 30 anos; 2) utilizar modelos aditivo-dominantes, em gerações F2 e F3, na identificação dos melhores genitores para caracteres de importância agronômica e 3) avaliação de linhagens homozigotas em ensaios multi-ambientes sem o uso de repetições. Para todas estas análises foram utilizados modelos mistos. Para a análise do ganho genético foram utilizados dados de 126 cultivares brasileiras de trigo, lançadas entre 1984 e 2014. Estas cultivares foram avaliadas em 187 ensaios, conduzidos em 25 locais, distribuídos na Região Sul do Brasil, entre os anos de 2002 e 2014. O ambiente foi responsável por mais de 70% da variância e os genótipos apresentaram comportamento similar entre os ambientes avaliados. O ganho genético obtido foi de 33,9 kg ha-1 ano-1,o que representa 1,28% ano-1. Além disso, os dados indicam que não há estagnação no ganho genético para a cultura do trigo no Brasil. A análise, via modelos aditivo-dominantes, de gerações heterozigotas (F2 e F3) indicou cultivares e linhagens que apresentam elevados efeitos aditivos, que são os principais efeitos quando o objetivo é o lançamento de cultivares a partir de linhagens homozigotas. Para o caractere rendimento de grãos, se destacaram as cultivares TBIO Seleto, Mirante, TBIO Mestre, Sinuelo e Ametista, além das linhagens UTFT 0932, UTFT 0908 e UTFT 0944. Na análise de adaptabilidade, estabilidade e produtividade, as linhagens UTFT 1110, UTFT 1608, UTFT 1620, UTFT 1025 e UTFT 1691 se destacaram e seriam selecionadas em cada um dos ambientes avaliados. Contudo, as linhagens UTFT 1634 e UTFT 1405 estiveram entre as linhagens selecionadas no conjunto de locais, mas poderiam ter sido eliminadas caso o ensaio tivesse sido conduzido em um único local, com repetições. Wheat crop has great economic importance in Brazil, producing annually about 6 million tons. However, this production is only sufficient to meet ~ 50% of demand. This condition makes Brazil one of the largest importers of this cereal worldwide. The genetic improvement of this crop has great importance in the attempt of increasing production, productivity and quality of wheat produced in Brazil. Furthermore, increasing the efficiency of breeding programs is essential to reduce costs and the time required to release new cultivars. In this sense, solutions are necessary for the correct evaluation in steps where limited seeds are available or where the number of lines to be evaluated is very hight. Thus, the objectives of this work were: 1) to evaluate the genetic gain of wheat crop in Brazil in the last 30 years; 2) to use additive-dominant models, in generations F2 and F3, to identify the best parents for agronomic traits, i.e., grain yield, hectoliter mass, thousand grain mass, plant height, among others; and 3) to evaluate homozygous lines in designs without repetitions in multi-environment trials. For all analyses, mixed models were used. Genetic gain was evaluated using 126 Brazilian wheat cultivars released 1984 and 2014. Cultivars were evaluated in 187 trials, conducted in 25 locations, distributed in the Southern Region of Brazil, between 2002 and 2014. Environment effects was responsible for more than 70% of the total variance and genotypes presented similar behavior in the evaluated environments. Genetic gain was of 33.9 kg ha-1 year-1, which represents 1.28% year-1. Moreover, results indicated absence of stagnation in the genetic gain in Brazil. Analysis of F2 and F3 generations with additive-dominant models show cultivars and lines with high additive effects, which are the main effects when the objective is to release homozygous cultivars. For grain yield, cultivars TBIO Seleto, Mirante, TBIO Mestre, Sinuelo and Ametista and lines UTFT 0932, UTFT 0908 and UTFT 0944 presented the highest additive effects. In the analysis of adaptability, stability and productivity, lines UTFT 1110, UTFT 1608, UTFT 1620, UTFT 1025 and UTFT 1691 would be selected in each of the evaluated environments. However, lines UTFT 1634 and UTFT 1405 were among the selected lineages in the set of locations but could have been eliminated if the trial had been conducted in a design with replications in a single location.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Fundação Araucária de Apoio ao Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico do Paraná A giberela é uma das principais doenças que acometem a cultura do trigo, causando perdas de produtividade, além de possibilitar a produção da micotoxina deoxynivalenol, altamente prejudicial aos indivíduos que a ingerem. A seleção assistida por marcadores pode auxiliar estes programas a reduzir o tempo e os custos no desenvolvimento de novas cultivares resistentes à giberela, mas para ser eficiente é necessário conhecer a localização dos genes/QTLs associados à característica. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi identificar marcadores SNPs associados a genes/QTLs de resistência à giberela e produção de deoxynivalenol em um grupo de cultivares de trigo, para uso em SAM no melhoramento genético de trigo. Foram utlizadas 384 cultivares para avaliação da resistência à giberela. A genotipagem foi efetuada utilizando o chip com 35.000 marcadores SNPs. A estrutura populacional foi estimada pelo algoritmo Marcov Chain Monte Carlo para o método de agrupamento Bayesiano generalizado. A análise de associação foi realizada utilizando o método de Modelos Lineares Mistos, com nível de significância de 0,001%, e, regressão múltipla stepwise, além de uma análise de correlação de Pearson. Os resultados demonstraram que a resistência de genótipos brasileiros de trigo à giberela não está relacionada à QTLs presentes nos cromossomos 3B, frequentemente associada ao gene Fhb1, mas à QTLs presentes nos cromossomos 1B, 4D e 7D que explicaram 13,6% da variação fenotípica. As análises de micotoxina deoxynivalenol identificaram SNPs associados a QTLs nos cromossomos 1A, 1B, 1D, 2D, 3D, 5D, 6D e 7B, com 65,7% de explicação fenotípica para produção de deoxynivalenol. Além disso, tanto as análises de correlação, quanto de associação sugerem controle genético distinto atuando na determinação das características. Palavras-chave: Gibberella Fusarium head blight is one of the main diseases that affects the wheat crop, causing losses of productivity, besides making possible the production of deoxynivalenol mycotoxin, highly harmful to the individuals that ingest it. The marker assisted selection can help these programs to reduce time and costs in development of new cultivars resistant to Fusarium head blight, but for a better efficience, is required knowing the location of genes or QTLs associated to the trait. The objective of this research was to identify SNPs associated to genes/QTLs of resistance to Fusarium head blight and deoxynivalenol production in a wheat cultivars group, for use in MAS on wheat genetic breeding. Were used 384 cultivars to evaluate the Fusarium head blight resistance. Genotyping was using the chip with 35,000 SNPs markers. The population structure was estimate by the algorithm Marcov Chain Monte Carlo for the generalised Bayesian clustering method. The association analysis was performing using the Mixed Linear models method, with 0.001% of significance level, and, stepwise multiple regression, besides an analysis of Pearson‟s correlation. The results showed that the resistance of brazilian wheat genotypes to Fusarium head blight is not related to the QTLs on chromosome 3B, often associated to the Fhb1 gene, but to the QTLs present on chromosomes 1B, 4D and 7D whose explained 13.6% of phenotypic variation. The DON mycotoxin analysis identified nine significant SNPs associated to QTLs on chromosomes 1A, 1B, 1D, 2D, 3D, 5D, 6D and 7B with 65.7% of phenotypic explanation to deoxynivalenol production. In addition, both correlation and association analysis suggest distinct genetic control acting to determine the characteristics.

Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Em um programa de melhoramento genético varios fatores influenciam na seleção de cultivares, basicamente pelo elevado número de genótipos em avaliação e pela reduzida capacidade experimental em fases iniciais do programa. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho foi dividido em quatro partes. O primeiro estudo objetivou identificar locais chaves para avaliação e seleção de genótipos de soja nas nas macrorregiões 1 (M1) e 2 (M2), em gerações com pouca disponibilidade de semente. O conjunto de dados consistiu em 22 genótipos de soja cultivados em 23 locais por 3 anos. As análises GGL + GGE e G vs. GE foram usadas. As localidades Chapada-RS e Maracaju-MS foram os locais mais representativos e discriminantes macrorregiões 1 e 2, respectivamente. A identificação das localidades chave é fundamental para a avaliação, onde o número de locais de ensaio pode se resumir a um único local por macrorregião sojícola. O segundo estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a precisão experimental de diferentes métodos de análise estatística para ensaios com elevado número de genótipos de soja. Foram usados dados de produtividade de grãos de 324 genótipos de soja, avaliados em 6 repetições. Os dados foram analisados considerando os delineamentos de blocos ao acaso, látice triplo e uso do método de Papadakis. Os indicadores de precisão experimental do método de Papadakis são mais favoráveis, quando comparados com os delineamentos de blocos ao acaso e látice triplo. Pode-se usar duas repetições e analisar os dados, usando o delineamento de blocos completamente casualizados ou método Papadakis, sem redução da precisão experimental. No terceiro estudo foi avaliado o desempenho produtivo, a adaptabilidade e a estabilidade de cultivares modernas de soja, em ensaios multiambientes. Foram avaliados 46 cultivares em oito ambientes, nas microrregiões de adaptação 102, 201 e 202, na safra 2014/2015. Ocorreu interação genótipo x ambiente complexa, com alterações do ranqueamento de cultivares entre os locais. Dentre os genótipos avaliados a cultivar NA 5909 RG, parental das RILs no ensaio GWS, esteve presente entre genótipos de maiores médias produtivas, apresentando também elevada adaptabilidade e estabilidade. O quarto estudo teve três objetivos: avaliar a precisão da SG na soja; identificar o efeito da estrutura intrapopulação na precisão da seleção genômica; e, comparar a eficiência da seleção fenotípica e genômica na soja. Foi utilizado o modelo BayesB com validação cruzada para dados fenótipicos e genótipicos de 324 genótipos de soja. Avaliou-se a precisão do GS para caracteres fenotípicos com dados genotípicos de 5403 marcadores SNPs. Os resultados indicaram que a precisão genotípica foi semelhante, considerando, ou não, a estrutura da população. Se observou que a estrutura da população não afetou significativamente a precisão dos modelos para os caracteres avaliados. Constatou-se que com esta metodologia torna-se possível reduzir pela metade o tempo de seleção e aumentar a eficiência de seleção em 123% para produtividade de grãos. In a breeding program, several factors influence the selection of cultivars, mainly due to the high number of genotypes under evaluation and the reduced experimental capacity in the initial phases of the program. In this context, the present study was divided into four parts. The first one aimed to identify the core locations for evaluation and selection of soybean genotypes in the macro-regions 1 (M1) and 2 (M2), in generations with low seed availability. The data set consisted of 22 soybean genotypes grown in 23 sites for three years. The GGL + GGE and G analyses versus the GE analysis were used. The locations Chapada-RS and Maracaju-MS were the most representative sites and discriminant macro-regions 1 and 2, respectively. Identification of the core location is fundamental to evaluation, since it is where the number of test sites can be summarized to a single site by soybean growing macro-region. The second study aimed to evaluate the experimental accuracy of different statistical methods used to analyze the assays with large numbers of soybean genotypes. The grain yield data from 324 soybean genotypes, evaluated in six replicates, were used. The data were analyzed by using the randomized block design, triple lattice design, and Papadakis method. The experimental accuracy indicators of the Papadakis method were more favorable when compared to those of the randomized block and triple lattice designs. Two replicates could be used when analyzing the data without reducing experimental accuracy: a randomized complete block design or the Papadakis method. In the third study, the productive performance, adaptability, and stability of modern soybean cultivars were evaluated in multi-environment assays. A total of 46 cultivars were evaluated in eight environments, in the adaptation micro-regions 102, 201, and 202, during the 2014/2015 harvest. Genotype × complex environment interactions occurred with changes in the ranking of cultivars between the sites. Among the genotypes evaluated, the cultivar NA 5909 RG, parental to the RILs in the genome-wide selection (GWS) assay, was considered to be among the genotypes with higher mean productivities, and it also showed high adaptability and stability. The fourth study had three objectives: to evaluate the accuracy of genomic selection in soybean, to identify the effect of intra-population structure on the accuracy of genomic selection, and to compare the efficiencies of the phenotypic and genomic selections in soybean. The BayesB model with cross validation was used for analyzing the phenotype data from the 324 soybean genotypes. The accuracy of GS for phenotypic characters with genotypic data of 5403 SNP molecular markers was also evaluated. The results indicated that the genotypic accuracy was similar, irrespective of consideration of the population structure. It was observed that the population structure did not significantly affect the accuracy of the models for the traits evaluated. It was verified that with this methodology it is possible to halve the selection time and increase the selection efficiency by 123% for grain yield.

CAPES; CNPq Uma das alternativas para minimizar as perdas de nitrogênio (N), além do uso de cultivares de trigo (Triticum aestivum L.) mais eficientes na utilização desse nutriente, e a identificação de manejos que intensifiquem o aproveitamento do N. Para as cultivares e condições climáticas do Brasil, existem poucos estudos que tenham quantificado como o arranjo espacial de plantas afeta a eficiência de uso do N. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito de diferentes arranjos espaciais (combinação entre densidades de semeadura e espaçamento entre linhas) no desempenho agronômico e aproveitamento do N mineral aplicado. O experimento foi conduzido em Pato Branco, nas safras agrícolas de 2014 e 2015, em delineamento em blocos ao acaso, em modelo fatorial, com três repetições. Dois cultivares de trigo (CD 150 e Ametista) foram submetidos a quatro densidades de semeadura (150, 300, 450 e 600 sementes m-2), duas doses de N (20 e 120 Kg ha-1) e dois espaçamentos entrelinhas (0,17 e 0,25 m). As maiores produtividades de grãos foram alcançadas no menor espaçamento entrelinhas e alta dose de N, para ambos os cultivares e anos avaliados. As densidades, para máxima eficiência técnica, de 400 sementes m-2 para a cultivar CD 150 e 425 sementes m-2 para a cultivar Ametista proporciona os maiores rendimento de grãos, ambas para o menor espaçamento. A eficiência de uso, de absorção e de utilização do N foram superiores nas condições com menor nível de N. Em ambos os espaçamentos utilizados, a eficiência de uso do N foi favorecida no menor espaçamento, bem como a eficiência de absorção do N. Os resultados permitem concluir que o teor de N proveniente da mineralização da matéria orgânica deve ser empregado como parâmetro para aplicação de N em cobertura. Com isso, evitar o uso excessivo do mesmo e otimizar tanto o rendimento de grãos quanto os parâmetros da eficiência de uso do N. An alternative to minimize Nitrogen (N) losses, beyond use of more efficient wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) varieties on the use of this nutrient, is the identification of managements to intensify the use of N. For the varieties and climatic conditions of Brazil, there are few studies that have quantified how the spatial arrangement of plants affects the N-use efficiency. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different spatial arrangements (combination between seeding rates and row spacing) on agronomic performance and utilization of the applied mineral nitrogen. The experiment was conducted in Pato Branco in the crops year 2014 and 2015, in a randomized block design, a factorial model, with three replications. Two wheat cultivars (CD 150 and Ametista) were submitted to four seeding densities (150, 300, 450 and 600 seeds m-2), two N doses (20 to 120 kg ha-1) and two row spacings (0.17 and 0.25 m). The highest grain yields were reached at the lowest line spacing and high nitrogen dose for cultivars and evaluated years. The densities, for maximum technical efficiency, of 400 seeds m-2 for the cultivar CD 150 and 425 seeds m-2 for the cultivar Ametista provides highest grain yield, for both cultivars and years evaluated. The N-use efficiency, N-uptake efficiency and N-utilization efficiency were higher in the conditions with lower level of N. In both spacings used, N-use efficiency was favored in the least spacing, as well as N-uptake efficiency. The results showed that the N content from the mineralization of organic matter should be used as a parameter for N application in the cover. Thus, avoiding excessive use of it and optimize both the grain yield as the N-use efficiency parameters.

Os parâmetros mais utilizados na avaliação da qualidade industrial da farinha de trigo são obtidos por análises viscoelásticas de farinografia, alveografia, mixografia, e número de queda (NQ). Estes métodos tradicionais apresentam boa correlação com a qualidade industrial. Contudo, são caros, difíceis de serem implementados e demandam grande quantidade de sementes. Por este motivo, a seleção para qualidade de trigo geralmente é realizada em fases mais avançadas dos programas de melhoramento genético, nas quais a quantidade de sementes é suficiente para realização dos testes. Por isso, é altamente desejável a utilização de métodos preditivos da qualidade da farinha de trigo, de baixo custo, simples de serem implementados e que demandem pequena quantidade de amostra. Isso possibilitaria maior efetividade de seleção em fases iniciais dos programas de melhoramento, onde se concentra a maior variabilidade genética. Assim, o primeiro estudo desta dissertação objetivou determinar a eficácia do método alternativo da CRS (Capacidade de retenção de solventes) em diferentes genótipos brasileiros de trigo e verificar a associação entre CRS e os diversos parâmetros de qualidade industrial do trigo. Foram utilizadas sementes provindas de ensaio de Valor de Cultivo e Uso (VCU) de 22 genótipos de trigo (10 cultivares e 12 linhagens) cultivados no ano de 2014 em duas épocas de semeadura em 4 locais da região sul do Brasil (Abelardo Luz – SC, Cascavel – PR; Guarapuava – PR e Não Me Toque – RS). Foram realizados testes convencionais de qualidade de trigo: alveografia, número de queda, análise de cor e analisados os materiais através da CRS. Os resultados demonstraram que a CRS e os parâmetros de qualidade de trigo possuem significativa interação genótipo x ambiente (GxA). Observou-se associações significativas, de média magnitude, entre a CRS e as análises viscoelasticas, demonstrando que a CRS pode ser utilizada na seleção de genótipos para qualidade de trigo brasileiro. O segundo estudo objetivou determinar a sedimentação em SDS em diferentes genótipos brasileiros de trigo e observar a correlação entre SDS e o parâmetro de força de glúten, buscando aferir a eficiência desta metodologia. Este estudo foi conduzido utilizando sementes de trigo provenientes de experimentos executados em quatro locais (Abelardo Luz – SC, Cascavel – PR; Guarapuava – PR e Não Me Toque – RS) no ano de 2014 durante duas épocas de semeadura. Foram avaliados 25 genótipos, incluindo linhagens e cultivares comerciais, em ensaios de VCU. Foram realizados o teste convencional de alveografia para obtenção do parâmetro de força de glúten (W) e o método alternativo de SDS. O parâmetro SDS foi positivamente associado (r= 0,65**) com a força de glúten (W), podendo ser utilizado como preditor na seleção de genótipos de trigo para qualidade de panificação. The parameters most used in evaluating the industrial quality of wheat flour are obtained by viscoelastic analyzes of farinograph, alveograph, and falling number (FN). These traditional methods have a good correlation with industrial quality. However, they are expensive, difficult to implement and require lots of seed. For this reason, selection for baking quality is usually carried out in more advanced stages of breeding programs, where the amount of seeds is sufficient to carry out the tests. Therefore, it is highly desirable to use batch quality predictive tests that are inexpensive, simple to implement and require a small amount of sample. This would allow greater selection effectiveness in the early stages of breeding programs, where the greatest genetic variability is concentrated. Thus, the first study of this dissertation aimed to determine the efficacy of the alternative method of CRS (Solvent retention capacity) in different Brazilian wheat genotypes and to verify the association between CRS and the various industrial quality parameters of wheat. Seeds from VCU of 22 wheat genotypes were cultivated in 2014 at two sowing dates in four sites in southern Brazil (Abelardo Luz - SC, Cascavel - PR, Guarapuava - PR and Não Me Toque - RS). Conventional wheat quality tests were performed: alveograph, falling number, color analysis and analyzed the materials through CRS. The results demonstrate that the CRS and wheat quality parameters have a significant G x E. There was a significant mean correlation between CRS and viscoelastic analysis demonstrating that CRS can be used as a predictor of wheat quality in Brazilian wheat genotypes. The second study aimed to determine the sedimentation in SDS in different Brazilian wheat genotypes and to observe the correlation between SDS and the gluten strength parameter, assessing the efficiency of the methodology. This study was conducted using wheat seeds from experiments conducted at four sites (Abelardo Luz - SC, Cascavel - PR, Guarapuava - PR and Não Me Toque - RS) in the year 2014 during two sowing seasons. Twenty-five genotypes, including commercial strains and cultivars, were evaluated in cultivation and use value (VCU) assays. The conventional alveograph test was performed to obtain the gluten strength parameter (W) and the alternative method of SDS. The SDS parameter shows an association (r = 0.65 **) with gluten strength (W) and can be used as a predictor in the selection of wheat genotypes for wheat protein quality.

A germinação pré-colheita em trigo, têm sido responsável por perdas consideráveis de produtividade e qualidade em diversas regiões produtoras a nível mundial. Diversos programas de melhoramento têm buscado selecionar genótipos com elevados níveis de resistência, mas em função da complexidade da característica, os avanços obtidos são pouco expressivos, e técnicas mais eficientes para identificação de genótipos superiores são necessárias. Dessa forma, o objetivo do presente estudo foi realizar uma análise de associação genômica, a fim de identificar marcadores SNPs e regiões genômicas associadas com a resistência a germinação pré-colheita em trigo, para posterior utilização em seleção assistida por marcadores moleculares (SAM). Para isso, foram utilizados 344 genótipos de trigo de diferentes empresas obtentoras e épocas de lançamento, que representam a base genética do trigo cultivado no Brasil. O experimento foi constituído por três etapas principais: a genotipagem, a fenotipagem e a análise de associação genômica. Para a genotipagem, foi realizada a extração e quantificação do DNA, e as amostras foram genotipadas com um chip de DNA para detecção de SNPs contendo 35 mil SNPs para o genoma do trigo. Na etapa de fenotipagem, foi conduzido um experimento em Cascavel-PR, em delineamento experimental de blocos cazualizados com três repetições. Os genótipos foram avaliados na maturidade fisiológica, a partir da coleta de 20 espigas por genótipo, as quais foram submetidas a um simulador de chuva para germinação, sendo então atribuídas notas de acordo com o índice de germinação apresentado. Após as determinações genotípicas e fenotípicas, foi realizada a análise de associação genômica a fim de identificar marcadores moleculares associados com a resistência à germinação pré-colheita. Foram identificados dez marcadores significativos nos cromossomos 3B, 4A, 5B, 5D, 6D, 7B e 7D, onde estão presentes QTLs (Quantitative Trait Loci) associados com a resistência a germinação pré-colheita. Os SNPs foram localizados em genes codificadores de enzimas envolvidas em vias de sinalização de giberelinas e ácido abscísico, hidrólise de maltose e alongamento e divisão celular. A explicação da variação fenotípica pelos marcadores significativos variou de 4,2 a 5,4%, o que é esperado para caracteres quantitativos. Os marcadores significativos identificados no presente estudo, após validados, poderão ser utilizados em programas de SAM, para a seleção precoce de genótipos mais resistentes a germinação pré-colheita, propiciando a obtenção de genótipos desejáveis de maneira mais ágil e precisa. Pre-harvest sprouting (PHS) in wheat, has been responsible for considerable losses in productivity and quality in several growing regions worldwide. Several breeding programs have sought to select genotypes with high levels of resistance, but due to the complexity of the trait, the advances achieved are inexpressive, and most efficient techniques to identify superior genotypes are demanded. Thus, the objective of this study was to perform a genome-wide association analysis, for identify SNPs markers and genomic regions associated with resistance to PHS in wheat, for later use in marker-assisted selection (MAS). For this, 344 wheat genotypes of different times and companies that represents the genetic basis of wheat grown in Brazil were used. The experiment consisted of three main steps: genotyping, phenotyping and genome-wide association analysis. In the genotyping step, the DNA extraction and quantification was conducted, and the samples were genotyped with a DNA chip for detection of SNPs containing 35,000 SNPs for the wheat genome. In the phenotyping step, an experiment was conducted in Cascavel-PR, in a randomized block design with three replicates. The genotypes were evaluated at physiological maturity, with the collection of 20 spikes per genotype, and these were subjected to a simulated rainfall for germination, being then allocated scores according to the germination rate observed. After the genotypic and phenotypic determinations, it was conducted a genome-wide association analysis to identify molecular markers associated with resistance to PHS. Ten significant markers were identified on chromosomes 3B, 4A, 5B, 5D, 6D, 7B and 7D, where QTLs (Quantitative Trait Loci) associated with pre-harvest sprouting resistance are present. The SNPs were localized in genes encoding enzymes involved in the gibberellin and abscisic acid signaling pathways, maltose hydrolysis and cell division and stretching. The explanation of the phenotypic variation by the significant markers ranged from 4.2 to 5.4%, which is expected for quantitative traits. Significant markers identified in the present study, after being validated, could be used in MAS programs for the early selection of genotypes more resistant to PHS in wheat, allowing the obtainment of desirable genotypes in the more agile and precise way.
