Abstract

The article reports on the 10-year fisheries-management plan proposed by the Bay of Quinte Fishery Advisory in Ontario. Committee chairman Jeremy Holden, a fisheries biologist with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH) expresses that the proposal will use the stabilized period for walleye population as a reference point for all fish species. The plan describes techniques for curbing the growth of invasive species, and development of binding ballast-water regulations.
