The aim of the study is to measure the Dufour number effects on the flow patterns and heat transfer in an exponentially accelerated infinite vertical plate embedded in a porous medium in the presence of heat source and chemical reaction. Time‐dependent variations in temperature, velocity, and other factors should be taken into consideration due to the flow's unsteadiness. The fluid considered is a gray, absorbing/emitting radiation but nonscattering medium. Using the finite element method, a set of nondimensionless equations is solved analytically. Results are discussed graphically for concentration, temperature, and velocity profiles. Skin friction, Sherwood number, and Nusselt number are also explained for flow parameters through graphs. The present study analyzes the problem of the fully developed natural convection magneto-hydrodynamics micropolar fluid flow of heat and mass transfer in a vertical channel. Asymmetric temperature and convection boundary conditions are applied to the walls of the channel. The cases of double diffusion and Soret-induced connections are both considered. Solutions of the coupled non-linear governing equations are obtained for different values of the buoyancy ratio and various material parameters of the micropolar fluid and magnetic parameters, viscous dissipation. The resulting non-dimensional boundary value problem is solved by the Galerken Finite element method using MATLAB Software. The influence of the governing parameters on the fluid flow as well as heat and solute transfers is demonstrated as significant. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The unsteady two-dimensional magneto-hydrodynamic heat and mass transfer free convection flow of an incompressible viscous electrically conducting polar fluid through a porous medium past a semi-infinite vertical porous moving plate in the presence of a transverse magnetic field with thermal diffusion and heat generation is considered. The plate moves with a constant velocity in the longitudinal direction and the free stream velocity follows an exponentially increasing or decreasing. A uniform magnetic field acts perpendicularly to the porous surface which absorbs the polar fluid with a suction velocity varying with time. The equations of conservation of mass, momentum, energy and concentration which govern the case study of heat and mass transfer flow have been obtained. The equations have been solved numerically by Galerkin finite element method. The effect of various flow parameters are presented graphically. Representative results for velocity profiles, temperature profiles and concentration profiles are obtained for several values of pertinent parameters which are of physical and engineering interest.
