In this investigation, we attempt to replicate the Interdisciplinary Financial Planning Model advanced by Hershey et al. (International Journal of Aging and Human Development, 70, 1-38, 2010) using a sample of Brazilian adults. This model, which was originally tested on individuals from The Netherlands and the United States, posits that psychological, social, and economic forces are key determinants of retirement planning practices and perceptions of saving adequacy. Taken together, fifteen hypotheses were subject to evaluation. Participants were 167 Brazilian working adults, 21-69 years of age, who were married or cohabitating at the time of testing. A path analysis model showed substantial support for the theoretical framework, with all variables found to contribute directly or indirectly to the prediction of financial planning and saving adequacy. Furthermore, two new paths were found to emerge in the Brazilian model that were not observed in the original investigation. This cross-national replication of the Interdisciplinary Financial Planning Model extends research on the topic to a developing country in which relatively few empirical studies of retirement planning have been carried out. Other analyses in the article focus on direct comparisons between the Brazilian model and the models developed based on American and Dutch respondents, with an eye toward better understanding how cultural forces shape the retirement planning process. The discussion focuses on how models of financial planning, such as the Hershey et al. (2010) model, can inform the development of savings-oriented education and intervention programs.

This research was conducted to identify the practices employed by the SorSU Faculty members towards saving money as well as discover the problems encountered by them in handling their finances. A total of 40 faculty members of Sorsogon State University Bulan Campus participated in this study. The mixed designed was used in this research which employed survey and focus group discussions. This study concludes that the faculty members of SorSU Bulan Campus adopt both the traditional way of saving money and the modern style of investment as modes of saving their finances which include budgeting, joining in “paluwagan”, using piggy bank, maintaining bank accounts and deposits and purchasing investment instruments. Increasing cost of utilities and unexpected day-to-day expenses; lack of financial literacy; poor debt management; and low and delayed salaries were the problems encountered by the faculty participants in handling their monetary resources. From the results of the study, this highly recommends the adoption of the Bongalonta’s Financial Model for SorSU Bulan Campus Faculty Members designed by the researcher as a guide or model for saving money. The Redesign of the Planning and Budgeting System (RSPP) is one of the government's efforts to realise effective and efficient planning and budgeting at the central and regional levels. The implementation of RSPP is expected to be able to answer problems in the planning and budgeting system, including the inconsistency of central and regional expenditure programs, differences in programs used in planning and budgeting documents, the formulation of program nomenclature and normative outcomes, and development performance information in planning and budgeting documents that are difficult for the public to understand. However, in its implementation, there are still problems faced by Ministries/Institutions so the Ministry of Finance together with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas need to periodically evaluate the formulation of RSPP in Ministries/Institutions through the Work Plan and Budget documents that have been issued. The process of improving the implementation of RSPP in Ministries/Institutions is followed by improving the guidelines and rules that oversee the implementation of RSPP in Indonesia. Several policies need to be taken to support the implementation of RSPP, namely the Logical Framework policy in the Formulation of Performance and Performance Indicators as well as the Synchronization of Planning and Budgeting Documents through the Integration of Planning and Budgeting Applications so that planning and budgeting documents become harmonious and easy to understand. For the implementation of RSPP to be effective and efficient, the Ministry of Finance together with the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas need to periodically evaluate the performance information that has been prepared by the Ministries/Institutions by the Regulation on the Implementation of Planning and Budgeting System Redesign. This research aims to understand current patterns, trends, and gaps in personal finance by conducting a systematic literature review of 20 years. The study collected and analyzed the articles published between 2004 to 2024. The research articles were collected from the Scopus database using the PRISMA framework. The review shows changes in the research area, including behavioural finance, digital financial planning tools, and its impact on individuals' financial literacy and planning. The major limitation of this study is that the literature search for personal financial planning might not have incorporated all publications in this area. Furthermore, there is a possibility of bias in this review concerning the papers selected for review and how the researchers interpreted the results. The findings of this systematic literature review can assist policymakers, financial planners, and practitioners in making more informed financial planning decisions and regulations. Thus, by identifying the trends and gaps in personal financial planning, strategies can be defined to provide individuals and society with the necessary level of support. The research is helpful to existing knowledge in that it presents a critical discussion of the personal financial planning literature evident in the last twenty years. The article is prepared based on the experience of financial management of implementing the European Union Project "Reinventing displaced universities: enhancing competitiveness, serving communities" (REDU), Grant Agreement No. 2020/415-429. The analysis of institutional experience of partner universities in implementing the REDU project confirms the impact on both the national financial accounting and management system and European policies on the model of institutional financial management of international projects funded by the EU. Two approaches adopted by higher education institutions in the field of financial management have been identified: an approach that adheres to budgetary norms and limits in the use of grant funds, and an approach oriented towards grantor limits and norms. Under the first approach, higher education institutions are not confident in financial autonomy in managing grant funds, while the second approach is more progressive and oriented towards European practices within national legislation. It has been proven that under both approaches, universities formulate institutional policies for effective project financial management, which is important for systemic development and financial stability of the university. The principles of project financial management have been identified. The main documents necessary for consideration in grant finance management at the grantor, national, and institutional levels have been highlighted. Best practices for team formation and partner interaction, project revenue and expenditure planning, currency exchange operations and exchange rate usage, salary payments, travel reimbursements, equipment and service procurement, compliance with expenditure eligibility rules, documentation preparation, and financial reporting submission are proposed. Practical issues and conclusions of project implementation will be useful for project and financial managers, accountants working with international projects funded by the European Union.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of financial literacy, financial stress, financial management practices, saving behaviour, household size and income adequacy, on Malaysian female millennials' retirement preparedness. A total of 268 questionnaires were self-administered and collected from Malaysian female millennials residing and working in the Klang Valley aged between 26 to 41 years old using a purposive stratified sampling method. Regression analyses were performed using SPSS software to determine the influence of variables investigated on retirement preparedness. Findings indicate that financial literacy level (β = 0.154, t-statistic = 2.669), financial stress level (β = 0.108, t-statistic = 2.207), saving behaviour (β = 0.281, t-statistic = 5.713) and household size (β = 0.242, t-statistic = 2.616), have significant positive effects on retirement preparedness. Income adequacy (β = - 0.298, t-statistic = - 2.595) on the other hand, is significantly and negatively associated with retirement preparedness, while financial management practices are found to have no influence. This study contributes to extant literature by examining the increasingly significant segment of the working population in our country. Hence, our findings should provide more insights to interested stakeholders in designing new or improving existing financial planning programs or mechanisms, particularly those related to retirement to better promote sound retirement planning among Malaysian female millennials. The purpose of this study was to document factors associated with a couple's decision to manage finances entirely jointly (i.e., pooled), somewhat jointly, or separately. Based on survey data from 636 married or cohabitating respondents, test results showed that married and less well-educated individuals are more likely to pool finances with their partners. Additionally, it was determined that the odds of partners pooling finances increase as the size of a household increases and when the household exhibits a positive net worth. In this study, households with two income earners were approximately 50% less likely to pool their finances compared to households with one income earner. It was further determined that those who reported agreeing on issues related to spending were more than twice as likely to pool their finances as compared to those who did not agree with their partner on issues related to spending. The findings from this study advance the marriage and family therapy literature by showing that financial integration style and financial decision-making responsibilities are separate constructs and should not be used as proxies for one another. In today's complex economic environment, individuals and households alike grapple with the challenge of financial planning. This paper introduces novel methodologies for both individual and cooperative (household) financial budgeting. We firstly propose an optimization framework for individual budget allocation, aiming to maximize savings by efficiently distributing monthly income among various expense categories. We then extend this model to households, wherein the complexity of handling multiple incomes and shared expenses is addressed. The cooperative model prioritizes not only maximized savings but also the preferences and needs of each member, fostering a harmonious financial environment, whether they are short-term needs or long-term aspirations. A notable innovation in our approach is the integration of recommendations from a large language model (LLM). Given its vast training data and potent inferential capabilities, the LLM provides initial feasible solutions to our optimization problems, acting as a guiding beacon for individuals and households unfamiliar with the nuances of financial planning. Our preliminary results indicate that the LLM-recommended solutions result in budget plans that are both economically sound, meaning that they are consistent with established financial management principles and promote fiscal resilience and stability, and aligned with the financial goals and preferences of the concerned parties. This integration of AI-driven recommendations with econometric models, as an instantiation of an extended coevolutionary (EC) theory, paves the way for a new era in financial planning, making it more accessible and effective for a wider audience, as we propose an example of a new theory in economics where human behavior can be greatly influenced by AI agents. With the rapid development of the global economy, trade between nations is becoming more and more closer in the context of economic globalization. People's pursuit of a happy life has also reached a new level, with financial freedom being a goal that an increasing number of people are pursuing on their path to happiness. The objective of this research is to examine in detail the ideas of financial freedom presented in the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and to investigate how these ideas may be more effectively applied to individual financial planning in order to attain financial independence, taking into account the current socioeconomic climate. This study employs a range of research methodologies, such as the literature research method, case study method, and qualitative analysis method. It begins by introducing the idea and significance of financial freedom, then analyzes the book's central financial concepts, and finally offers recommendations and strategies for achieving financial freedom in the context of the contemporary socioeconomic environment. The paper concludes by summarizing the findings and anticipating the direction of additional research on financial independence. Changing one's financial concepts, investing in financial education, and generating passive income are the keys to achieving financial freedom, according to this study, which was conducted after extensive research and analysis of the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Public service agencies are basically a tool to improve the performance of public services for the development of human resources as well as infrastructure facilities through the implementation of financial management based on results, professionalism, accountability and transparency. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the financial management of state universities as public service agencies (BLU) in supporting the development of human resources and infrastructure (Study at the Faculty of Languages and Arts (FBS) Universitas Negeri Manado). The research method used is a qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique in determining informants. The research results show that, among other things, 1) Financial management planning for state universities that implement public service bodies must be able to accommodate the interests of both parties (central government and state universities); 2) There needs to be transparency in financial management. In terms of what and for what the institution's finances need to be recorded and accounted for, accompanied by proof of its use; 3) Financial planning needs to be done every year by taking into account the needs that occur in the next year. Planning must be designed to be close to reality through comprehensive planning. Apart from that, the implementation of management of state assets must be directed at management that provides academic and economic benefits through the tridharma of higher education; 4) Important things to pay attention to when preparing a budget plan: a. Inventory the plans to be implemented b. Develop a plan based on the priority scale for implementation c. Determine the work program and program details d. The resolution of a first-order mathematical system effectively tackles a wide range of physical problems. The technique illustrates that the quantity of authorised variables in the system may be depicted by the activities that need to be evaluated for cost, and that the system takes into consideration the connections between these costs. Mathematical systems adhere to primary conditions, resulting in derived solutions that are specific and reliant on a single independent variable representing the temporal aspect in cost computation. This enables the forecast of costs in future years. This study confronts the inadequacies found in traditional cost allocation methods used for organizational budgeting, often leading to a biased allocation of costs to departments, irrespective of their profitability. We introduce an innovative method that employs first-order linear differential equations to model the cost dynamics associated with various activities within an organization. Moreover, an innovative transformation technique is presented to solve these equation systems efficiently, thereby enabling a precise computation of activity-based costs over a three-year projection. The results illustrate that the proposed method provides a more precise and insightful budget allocation, suggesting potential applications for financial planning and management across diverse sectors. Corporate financial management is responsible for constructing, optimizing, and modifying finance-related structures for an unremitting function. The finance optimization model incorporates risk prediction and fund balancing for distinguishable corporate operations. This risk prediction is handled using sophisticated computing models with artificial intelligence and machine learning for self-training and external learning. Therefore, this article introduces a Backpropagation-aided Neural Network for designing an Optimal Risk Prediction (ORP-BNN) to pre-validate existing and new financial imbalances. The risk prediction model is designed to cope with corporate standards and minimum riskless financial management. This is designed as a linear snowfall model wherein the BNN decides the significance between fund allocation and restraining. The snowfall model significantly relies on allocation or restraining, which is achieved by assigning significant weights depending on the previous financial decision outcome. The weight factor is determined using gradient loss functions associated with the computing model. The training process is pursued using different structural modifications used for successful financial management in the past. In particular, the risk thwarted financial planning using a snowfall-like computing model, and its data inputs are used for training optimization. The development of the tourism industry in Indonesia has presented new business opportunities, including in the field of container villa rental in mountainous areas. This business promises attractive potential, but is also faced with various challenges related to proper financial planning. This research aims to analyze and understand the financial planning strategies adopted by container villa rental companies in Indonesia's mountainous regions. This research was conducted at PT Nahe Unggul Lestari which launched "V-CONT Village" a villa located in Sukabumi adjacent to the Bocimi toll road access which is under construction. The location is also close to Mount Gede Pangrango tourism. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The data in this study was collected through in-depth interviews with relevant parties in the container villa rental company, including financial management and other decision makers. In addition, data is also collected through document studies, namely financial reports, budgets, and company business plans. The collected data will be analyzed with a qualitative approach. The results show that financial planning for container villa rental companies in the mountains in Indonesia needs to be done systematically and structured. Financial planning in villa container rental companies in the mountains includes financial goals and objectives, financial planning elements, financial projections, investment feasibility analysis, and financial performance analysis. Compared to higher income couples, those with low incomes experience a host of challenges and disparities in their intimate relationships, including lower levels of relationship satisfaction, higher rates of breakup of cohabiting relationships, and higher rates of divorce. In recognition of these disparities, a number of interventions targeting couples with low incomes have been developed. These interventions historically focused primarily on improving relationship skills through relationship education, but in recent years a new approach that integrates economic‐focused interventions alongside relationship education has emerged. This integrated approach is intended to better address the challenges facing couples with low incomes, but the theory‐driven, top‐down approach to intervention development leaves open the question of whether couples with low incomes are interested in participating in a program that combines these two disparate components. The current study draws from a large randomized controlled trial of one such program (N = 879 couples) to provide descriptive information about the recruitment and retention of couples with low incomes in a study of relationship education with integrated economic services. Results indicate that it is possible to recruit a large, linguistically, and racially diverse sample of couples living with low income to participate in an integrated intervention, but the uptake of relationship‐focused services was higher than the uptake of economic‐focused services. Additionally, attrition over a 1‐year follow‐up data collection period was low but required labor‐intensive efforts to reach participants for the survey. We highlight successful strategies for the recruitment and retention of diverse couples and discuss implications for future intervention efforts. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This study aims to determine the factors that influence Islamic financial literacy, financial behavior and financial resilience to Islamic financial planning and management of young couples after the covid 19 pandemic. This research is a qualitative research using Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with primary data taken from questionnaires based on convenience sampling, totaling 250 respondents. Islamic financial literacy is influenced by income/employment factors. Islamic financial literacy has an impact on financial planning by full meditation since it only significant to undirect affect through financial behaviour and financial resilliance. Financial behavior is influenced by the level of risk tolerance and Islamic financial literacy. Financial resilience is influenced by financial literacy and financial behavior. Islamic financial planning is influenced by behavior and financial resilience. Lastly, Islamic financial management is influenced by financial literacy, financial behavior, and financial resilience. Purpose: This study aims to examine the role of financial management practices, which consist of financial disclosure, internal control, financial planning and budgeting and financial performance on Islamic social enterprises' (ISEs) accountability. Design/methodology/approach: Questionnaires were administered to financial officers of 102 Malaysian ISEs. Findings were analysed using Smart-PLS to examine the relationships between financial management practices and accountability. Findings: Results of this study indicate a direct relationship exists between internal control and accountability. Relationships between other financial management practices and accountability are indirect through internal control. Hence, the data demonstrates that internal control has a mediating role on other financial management practices, which are financial disclosure and financial performance management with the accountability of ISEs. Research limitations/implications: This study has implicated the significant role of financial management practices in ISEs in the pursuance of their accountability especially internal control to achieve public trust. Practical implications: Appropriate financial management practices, especially internal control, are essential for the ISEs to achieve good accountability. Originality/value: This study contributes to the field of management and social accounting by providing empirical evidence on ISE practices specifically on financial management practices and accountability. The COVID-19 pandemic topped the financial and economic crisis faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Lebanon. The purpose of this article is to explore the budgeting and financial techniques used by the Lebanese SMEs during the crisis, using an exploratory and qualitative approach to discuss the impact of the crisis on the techniques used. Data collection involved sending questionnaires to the managers of 133 different SMEs. Results have shown that a low number of financial management techniques are used, while most SMEs tend to abandon their prior budgeting techniques. The usage of financial techniques is related to financial literacy and could be explained by the tendency to focus on short-term profitability and liquidity. We found that younger and more educated managers have a higher tendency to use more techniques. Managers are encouraged to rely on budgeting and financial techniques to increase their survival chances. Long-term planning can be a powerful tool to avoid reactive strategic behaviour. Managers need to anticipate environmental constraints using different scenarios or by testing the robustness of strategic initiatives using diverse tools like financial planning and control. The purpose of the current research is to provide a model for improving the interaction between the auditor and the client based on the grounded theory. In this regard, the factors of interaction between the auditor and the client were explained and the main components identified in order to improve the interaction between the auditor and the client were presented. Finally, the identified factors were ranked using the Friedman test. In order to extract effective factors for improving the interaction between the auditor and the employer, the foundation's data approach was used. Also, due to the lack of a coherent model in the literature related to improving the interaction between the auditor and the client in Iran, a semi-structured interview with experts was also used to cover the weak points of the existing theoretical foundations and to reach the stage of persuasion. The results of the foundation's data approach showed that the research model based on improving the interaction between the auditor and the client can be classified into 6 main categories, causal conditions, background conditions, strategies, intervention conditions and consequences. The results of Friedman's test indicated that the variables 1. the timeliness of providing information by company managers to auditors; 2. Acquaintance of auditors with the software used in preparing financial reports; 3. Internal audit; 4. activity history of auditors; 5. Reducing the anxiety of the audit staff, respectively, has a higher priority as an effective factor in improving the interaction of auditors with business owners. Also, it was found that the variables 1. tenure of auditors; 2. The size of the employer's company; 3. The presence of more non-commissioned directors in the structure of the board of directors of companies; 4. Mandatory rotation of auditors; 5. The acquaintance of the audit team members with updated and used software was less important from the point of view of the respondents. The findings of this research can help solve the complexities of the interaction between the auditor and the employer.
