Abstract

Shows that clustering can reduce within-class variance and group pixels with similar correlation structures in remote sensing images. Centroid initialization technique introduced to speed up convergence; Matched filtering formulations compared for a variety of of a number of classes and synthetic hyperspectral images; Clustering in conjunction with clutter matched filtering.
