This article reports on the introduction of instant-replay challenges in the U.S. Open. Players are allowed to challenge up to two times per set, with an additional challenge allowed for tie-breakers. If the player is correct, they do not lose any challenges. Umpires will be using the Hawk-Eye system. When a player makes a challenge, it will be broadcast on the stadium screens and on televisions. Andy Roddick is a fan of the system, but Roger Federer is skeptical of its use.
