- Abstract
With microsurgical techniques it is possible to transplant eyebrows and eyelashes. This is a great advantage in reconstruction of the "orbital unit" in the rehabilitation of the patient. The surgeon has to be experienced in this demanding technique in order to achieve the most natural results for the patient. Mostly one and two hair units (" follicular units") are harvested and prepared from the donor area in the back of the scalp and are placed into the recipient area using the "stick and place" method., ((c) Georg Thieme Verlag KG Stuttgart New York.)
