The three-layer composite AMg6–AD1–VT1-0, obtained by explosion welding, is widely used as transition elements in the creation of critical structures made of titanium and aluminum alloys. In welded joints of dissimilar metals, which are limited soluble in each other and form intermetallic compounds, mutual diffusion can occur at elevated temperatures, and when the concentration corresponding to the limit of solubility at a given temperature is reached, conditions are created for the nucleation and growth of intermetallic phases. When studying the effect of heat treatment on the properties of welded joints of such metals, it is necessary to take into account the structure, properties and features of the formation of intermetallic phases, as well as the factors that contribute to their appearance and intensive growth. The latter include hardening, obtained by the composite material after blasting and further technological operations, associated with pressure treatment, which accelerate the diffusion processes, due to fragmentation and development of the block structure.

In the result of application of the load in different sections of the structure elastic or plastic deformation may occur. In its turn, the removal of the applied load can lead to the development of relaxation processes, caused by the intention of the material to return to equilibrium. There is a subtle change of body shape (warping), which depends on its properties, the type of deformation and its nature in the flow of time. In this regard, the consideration of this factor is necessary in the manufacture of various parts and components of LCM using the methods of metal forming (stamping, bending, calibration, etc.) [1-6].

Received by explosion welding titanium-aluminum billet can be subjected to various operations of metals processing by pressure, which results in change of metals mechanical properties and the arrangement of the layers. The work investigated the influence of temperature on the deformation ability of titanium-aluminum layer composites by rolling. It is revealed that the deformation capacity of the layered titanium-aluminum composite is determined by the plastic properties of aluminum layers at the temperature of rolling. At 450 °C a sharp increase in strain capacity of titanium-aluminum composite is revealed.
