This study is to find renewable energy solutions that can be used. Because non-renewable energy will be decrease one solution for harvesting renewable energy is to use PVDF. However, so far researchers have only used thickness polarized PVDF. Therefore, it is necessary to study the potential of PVDF with surface polarization as an energy harvester. To make PVDF with surface polarization, several steps are needed, including stretching and polarization with high voltage. The strain ratio in this study is 5.5 and the voltage for polarization is 4 KV. Polarized PVDF assembled with iron frame. This PVDF is tested with waves in the sea. The result is the average voltage produced is 1.95, electric current 0.85, and electric power 1.64. The results of this study show that PVDF with surface polarization can work well when hit by sea waves. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
