Abstract

The article a case study of 88- and 67-year-old women with cholangitis, who both developed perforations because of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). An over-the-scope clip (OTSC) was used to close every perforation and endoscopic sphincterotomy was performed to restore biliary drainage. The article discusses the use of OTSC during the treatment of accidental gastrointestinal perforation from EUS, which allows a safe process of complex endoscopic retrograde chalangiopancreatography (ERCP).
