The article presents views of the author regarding the options for electronic publishing strategies. The students with the help of search engines like Google Inc. have access to information without consultation or attendance at formal academic events. This forces those who are in the field of scholarly publishing to confront about their organizations, jobs and assumptions about the work. The students use Google search as the first choice for doing research. They assume that MySpace is the model for creating online content and building peer communities. The implications of these changes in the student behavior force the electronic publishers to change their publishing strategies.
