As the demand for agricultural products rises, it is vital to boost productivity through a variety of means. Certain plant development approaches, the most prevalent of which are fertilizers, are employed to boost production. However, the use of synthetic chemical fertilizers has had a negative impact on soil because of the depletion of key minerals in the soil. Biofertilizers such as animal waste and eggshell manure are promising solutions for this problem. In this work, biofertilizers were prepared from animal waste and eggshells. Also, a series of experiments were conducted on Fenugreek and Coriander plants to demonstrate the effects of different fertilizers on plant growth, height, and density. Fenugreek plants treated with eggshell fertilizer had a 56 percent and 44 percent higher plant count than plants treated with chemical fertilizers and normal soil, respectively. While plant and root growth showed just a 10-15% difference. Fenugreek plants using eggshell fertilizer showed 30% higher plant growth than plants with animal manure. Coriander plants with animal manure as fertilizer showed 31% higher plant growth than plants with urea fertilizer and 48% higher plants growth than normal soil without fertilizer. A survey was also conducted in this work to study the awareness of biofertilizers in the farmer community. From the data analysis, it was observed that only 35% of farmers are aware of the benefits of biofertilizers. Hence there is huge scope to switch to biofertilizers than chemical fertilizers.
