Mules Island and its surroundings are included in the Savu Sea National Park (TNP) area and administratively included in the Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT). The waters of the area have a high potential for coral reef ecosystem resources and are important support for the marine life. However, the current condition of anthropogenic pressure continues to increase due to an increase in the number of people living on the coast and small islands. One of the pressures that are currently a big issue is the existence of marine debris, where studies related to its impact and distribution on coral reef ecosystems are still very few. The purpose of this study was to determine the distribution and types of marine debris in the coral reef ecosystem on Nucamolas Island and its surroundings. Observations were made on 1-3 November 2021 at 12 stations. The research method used is the belt transect method with an area of 500 m2. Data collection was assisted by SCUBA diving equipment at a depth of 5-7 m on the coral reef flat. The results of this study found that the dominant marine debris in the coral reef ecosystem was organic waste (64.3%) and a group of macro debris (71,4%). Based on the type, the dominant species found were logs (37%), which physically damaged the coral, especially when currents and waves were moving. The distribution of marine debris at the study site was only found at 8 stations while the other 4 were not found.

Background: The status of global pandemic that has been going on for more than one year has forced countries around the world to adopt new habitual adaptations, including Indonesia. The application of new norm adjustments is applied in all areas that intersect with the public, such as public transportation, places of worship, offices, supermarkets, inns and restaurants. Control of the spread of Covid-19 is carried out by the government with various efforts so its spread can be controlled but in reality on the ground it is increasingly rampant, controlling the spread of Covid-19 can be successful if the entire community participates in taking precautions for its spread. Aims: Research objective was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitude and behavior of SMKN I students in efforts to prevent Covid-19. Methods: The type of this research was processed using descriptive correlative method which described the relationship between knowledge, attitude and behavior of students in efforts to prevent Covid-19. The population in this research were students that majoring in Pharmacy and Computer and Network Engineering Departments of SMKN 1 Garut, the sample was using total sampling technique as many as 160 respondents, the instrument in this research was questionnaire. Data analysis used chi-square. Results: The result showed that the level of students' knowledge about the efforts to prevent Covid-19 was in the sufficient category (72%). Most of the students' attitude about the prevention of Covid-19 was in the sufficient category (74%). Most of the sufferers' behavior regarding the prevention of Covid-19 was in the good category (79%). Based on the result of statistical tests using Chi Square, the result showed that there was a relationship between students' knowledge and behavior in efforts to prevent Covid-19 (p value = 0.63) and there was a relationship between students' attitude and behavior in efforts to prevent Covid-19 (p value = 0.83). The conclusion was that there was a relationship between knowledge, attitude and behavior of students in efforts to prevent Covid-19.

The ability of mathematical communication is the ability of students to express mathematical ideas both oral and written in the form of language, symbols, and mathematical notations that are easier for students to understand mathematical problems. Problem based learning is a learning model that can be used to improve students' mathematical communication. In implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, teachers need appropriate modules. This study analyzes and designs teaching materials in the form of modules, based on the Problem Based Learning approach, allowing improving mathematical communication skills. The subjects of this study were students of class XI SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Sentolo, Kulonprogo. This type of research is research and development with the ADDIE development model. The collection instruments used were interview guides, classroom observations, and tests. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research produces an module needs analysis and module design according to the needs analysis. Modules are designed according to Problem Based Learning (PBL). Modules are designed to improve students' mathematical communication skills. The results of the study can be used as a guide when the teacher develops a learning module for a problem-based learning model. The novelty of this research is the integration of mathematical communication skills into module design.

In learning English, the students often make some problems while building a recount text. One of the problems causing it is that the teacher might use the old teaching method. This research aimed to observe the effect of grammar-focused writing instruction on the tenth-grade students' writing recount text at one of the Senior High School State at Kabupaten Tangerang. The research method used in this research was a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design by using a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this research was 460 tenth grade students. The sample of this research was taken from two classes that were chosen by using Simple Random Sampling. There were X IPS 4 as the controlled class and X IPS 5 as the experimental class. The normality test result showed that the data is normally distributed, and the homogeneity test result showed that the variants belong to a homogeneous population. The analysis results of post-test by using t-test (The Pooled Variance Model T-test) were obtained data that t-count = 4,37 and t-table = 1,99 with significant level ɑ = 5% or 0,05. From the post-test calculation result, H0 is rejected, and H1 is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of students’ writing recount text between students in the experimental class who were taught by using grammar-focused writing instruction and students in the controlled class who were taught by using the conventional method.

Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) are substantial abilities that students must have as a basis for complex thinking skills. This study aims to determine the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) of eighth-grade students on biotechnology material. The research method used is qualitative. The population in this study were students at one of the boarding schools in the Sukabumi district. The research sample consisted of 24 students. The instrument used was multiple-choice test questions with four choice options. The questions used in this study have a reliability of 0.7 (sufficient) and validity of 0.8 (high). The research data showed that the students 'HOTS ability was still low. The t-test results, which compared the students' acquisition scores with the completeness score (60), obtained a sig value of 0.78, meaning that there was no difference in the mastery score and the HOTS acquisition of students. Calculation data based on cognitive level categories, learning indicators, and achievement categories also show that the HOTS ability of students is still low

Fruit quality identification is very important in the food industry for maintaining product quality. The quality control in the food industry commonly conducted by human senses which is lack of objectivity and takes long time for real-time mass production quality control. The quality of the fruit can be identified through its color, smell, and texture. This study uses fruit image to classify the quality of the fruit. We trained artificial neural networks for classifying fruit quality from Indian Fruit Dataset with Quality (FruitNet). The dataset contains six classes of fruits with three categorical qualities (Good, Bad, and Mixed). The dataset features were extracted using several pre-trained deep learning networks trained on the ImageNet dataset. The convolutional networks for feature extraction used in this study are VGG16, MobileNetV2, EfficientNetB0, and ResNet50. The extracted features are forwarded to neural network for training the dataset. The result shown that f1-score for testing dataset reaches more than 90% except for MobileNetV2. The highest f1-score is obtained from ResNet50 feature extraction which is 95.7%.

Aqueous solubility is an important property for conducting chemical reactions of the compound. In this research, we develop several machine learning models for predicting the aqueous solubility reaction of molecules. The open public dataset, AqSolDB, was used for model development which contains 9982 data on molecule solubility. Several machine learning regression models were trained on the dataset and their performance was evaluated using mean absolute error. In this research, we use machine learning model-based tree for model development. The result showed that the best model for solubility prediction is using Categoric Boosting Regressor achieving 0.854 mean absolute error. The importance of feature that affected solubility can also be calculated from the calculation. It is shown that variable MolLogP strongly correlated with solubility reaction. To further improve our model, we selected several features using a genetics algorithm and trained selected feature using several machine learning-based tree models. It showed that the lowest mean absolute error obtained from Categoric Boosting Regressor model achieving 0.771 which provides an improvement with previous calculation without feature selection.

The objective of this research is to find out (1) The effects of interpersonal communication skill and vocabulary mastery jointly toward student’s speaking skill at private universities in East Jakarta; (2) The effect of interpersonal communication skill towards student’s speaking skill at private university in East Jakarta; (3) The effect of vocabulary mastery towards student’s speaking skill at private university in East Jakarta. In connection to which, research methodology used by the researcher is explanatory survey with quantitative approach through correlation method. The researcher concluded that population is collected from a number of groups interest to the researcher, a number of group which researcher would like to make the results of the study to be reported. As for the sample of which is undertaken by random sampling and the samples thereof are 40 people. Finally, the research findings are: (1) There are significant effects of interpersonal communication skill and vocabulary mastery jointly towards student’s speaking skill at private university in East Jakarta. It is proved by Faccount= 25.835 > F table (0,05,2,37) = 3,252, and sig = 0.000 < 0.05. 2) (2) There is significant effect of student’s interpersonal communication skill towards student’s speaking skill at private university in East Jakarta. It is proved by taccount= 4.436 > ttable 2.024, and sig = 0.000 < 0.05. (3) There is significant effect of vocabulary mastery towards student’s speaking skill at private university in East Jakarta. It is proved by taccount= 3.250>ttable 2.024, and sig = 0.002 < 0.05

Purpose of the study: The objectives of this research are (a) to determine association of gender diversity on boards of commissioners and boards of directors, risk management and infrastructure investment in non-core business to earnings persistence; (b) to find out whether strategy choices could moderate association of gender diversity of the board of commissioners and board of directors, risk management and infrastructure investment in non-core business to earnings persistence. Methodology: This research used multiple regression with five years of observation (2011-2015) and used IBM SPSS statistic version 22 to test the hypotheses. The sampling technique was purposive sampling. The results obtained 79 companies from the selection that met the criteria and hence, the total observations are 395 samples. Findings: This research found that gender diversity on board of directors had a positive effect on earning persistence and investment in non-core business had a negative impact on earning persistence. On the other hand, there was no direct effect of diversity gender on board of commissioners and risk management to earning persistence. However, when gender diversity on board of commissioners combined with the type of prospector strategy, it had a positive effect on earnings persistence, so did risk management. Novelty/Originality: This study has a practical contribution to shareholders, investors, board, and academics. This paper underlines that women should be courageous to take part in the business either as a board of commissioners or directors, and the company should provide wider opportunities for women. An investor should carefully with the companies’ strategic choice. This study also has an empirical contribution to filling the literature gap of factors that influence the earnings persistence beyond financial factors. There are limited researches that examined earning persistence, which includes risk management, investment in non-core business infrastructure and strategy as variables.

This study aims to find how students' critical thinking skills after learning to use generative learning models in science learning material on global warming. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a population of 2 classes taken from class VII SMP in one of the cities of Sukabumi. The research sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this study was the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used in this study is a multiple-choice test of 15 items, each of which has been declared valid and reliable. Based on the data requirements test, it is known that the results of the research data are normally distributed and the two classes have the same variance (homogeneous). From the data analysis, it is known that the average value of the posttest of the experimental class students with the generative learning model is 84.50 and the average value of the posttest of the control class students without using the generative learning model is 62.19. There is a significant difference in student learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the Z-test obtained by Zcount> Ztable (3.72 > 1.96) so this study rejects H0 and accepts H1. Thus, it can be concluded that there are effects of learning outcomes on the critical thinking skills of students who take part in learning by using generative learning models on global warming material.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Socioscientific Issues learning approach to improving students' creative thinking ability. Learning with the Socioscintific Issues approach needs to be trained because it not only develops creative thinking skills, but also other abilities can be developed such as critical thinking skills, decision-making and arguing ability. The research method that will be used is quasi experiment with Design Nonequivalent Control Group. This research was conducted at State Junior High School 6 Sukabumi with research population that is class VII (Seven). The sampling technique used is Purposing Sampling. Indicators of creative thinking that is sensitivity, thinking smoothly, thinking flexible, original thinking and thinking detailing. The results showed that the average value of N-gain of the experimental class was 0.56 higher than the control class of 0.44. The results of the z test show that the data produced in accordance with the criteria is zhitung = 3.177> ztabel = 1.998 with a trust level of 0.05 (5%), meaning H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, it means that the Socioscientific Issues learning approach influences the creative thinking ability of learners water pollution material. The response of learners to the learning approach Socioscientific Issue gave a positive response on the approach of learning approaches Socioscientific Issues.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Socioscientific Issues.

This study aims to find out how students' critical thinking skills after learning using Outdoor Learning method assisted by virtual media field trip on learning biology material of coral reef ecosystem. This type of research is quasi experimental research with 2 class research population taken from class X SMA. The sample of this research was chosen by using purposive sampling technique. The research design used in this research is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The instrument used in this study is a matter of as many as 7 test questions that each have been declared valid and reliable. Based on the data requirement test, it is known that the research data is normally distributed and the two classes have the same variance (homogeneous). From the data analysis it is known that the mean posttest grade of the experimental class with the learning using the Virtual Field Trip media aid is 70.76 and the mean posttest of the control students with the learning not using the Virtual Field Trip media is 55.23. There is a significant difference to student learning outcomes, it is proved by Z-test obtained Zcount (2.13> 1.96) then this research rejects H0 and receives H1. Thus, it can be concluded that there is influence of learning outcomes on the ability of critical thinking of students who follow the learning method using Outdoor Learning media-assisted Virtual Field Trip on the material of coral reef ecosystem. The problem in this study is that the use of technology has not been optimal in developing village potentials associated with opportunities for village innovation programs. The problem arises because not all villages have the same capacity in aspects of the potential and capacity of village officials, so that in response to this policy the village innovation program is an alternative solution to the problem of inequality in capacity, resources, and so on. This study uses a dynamic model of village development and innovation to analyze technology-based village innovation governance in new autonomous regions. The method used is a qualitative method which relies on secondary data with descriptive data analysis techniques. The results show that the factors in the dynamic model of rural development and innovation are based on internal and external factors. Internal factors include human resources and knowledge, information and communication, community participation, leadership, local wisdom, local potential, experience, challenges and obstacles. External factors include legal umbrella, networking and cooperation, government support, as well as appreciation and incentives.

Arabic is compulsory subject listed on Islamic studies issue. Over the years, students learn Arabic as the main subject. In addition, Arabic subject integrates through many subject. Therefore, it is a need to discover the standing of attitude and motivation on Arabic learning. The two factors among the pillar in maintaining teaching and learning of Arabic. On the other hand, Muslim minority environment is a unique condition to maintain the Arabic teaching and learning training. The research was conducted in North Sulawesi, Indonesia. The picture of muslim minority indicates a dynamic situation. Different existence from other muslim part of Indonesia shows the opportunity to rely on co-exist to multicultural. This research is initial study to explore the relationship between attitudes in learning language. The age of learner influences their struggle and spirit in learning the resources language. Motivation provides the main driving for student during the process of learning. Even-tough they are part from family and stay in the boarding school for over the academic term. Moreover, this article discuses that attitude and motivation are among the main factor learning Arabic language. High motivation deliver considerable environment during school time. Student attitude and motivation is not a single form. There are many factors and conditions represent to the complexity of the situation. The findings implicate many aspect of teaching and learning. Indeed, motivation for learning target language is the source to sustain the process on the different aspects of teaching. Finally, there are many suggestions and recommendations for further study on the end part of article.

Graphene is a 2D material which has attracted a lot of attention due to its various fascinating properties. The most straightforward and facile synthesis method to produce graphene is chemical exfoliation method, which is conducted by reducing the graphene oxide. In this paper, we investigated the effect of microwave duty cycles on the electrical conductivity properties of rGO. The microwave was set at a different variation of duty cycles and reduction times. The reduction process with microwave-assisted was done under nitrogen conditions. The samples were characterized using Fourier transforms infrared spectrometry (FTIR), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and four-point probes. The highest conductivity of 18.10 S/cm was observed from rGO samples prepared by the reduction process using hydrazine as reducing agent and treated by high microwave irradiation mode for 3 min under N2 conditions.

In this work, coconut shell was used as raw material to. Dried coconut shells were burned in a close compartment to form coconut charcoal. The dried carbon was further washed with hot distilled water to obtain a pH 7 and was dried again in an oven at 100 °C for 12 hours. The carbon was further pyrolyzed at two temperature variations, i.e. at 400 °C and 1400 °C, under argon environment for two hours before being cooled to room temperature and ready for characterization. The X-ray diffraction result showed that there are two prominent peaks centred around 2θ 25° and 43°, whereas the scanning electron microscopy result showed the flakes microstructure with long range size variation. The energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy showed that the composition of sample pyrolyzed at 400° C has 59-85 % carbon 7-37 % oxygen and 0.02-0.93 other elements (Si, P, Cl, K, Ti and Ni), whereas the sample pyrolyzed at 1400 °C has 88-92 % carbon, 7.8-11.7 % oxygen and 0.01-0.4 % other elements. This result showed that the coconut shell has the potential to be used as a cheap raw material for synthesizing nanocarbon using a simple method.

The effect of Zn substitution to the Cu-spin fluctuation in Eu1.85Ce0.15Cu1-yZnyO4+α-δ with y = 0, 0.01, 0.02, and 0.05 has been studied from zero-field (ZF) muon-spin-relaxation (μSR) measurements to understand Zn-induced magnetic state in electron-doped high-Tc superconducting cuprates. It was found that the Cu-spin correlation was developed through Zn substitution. These results were similar to the results of ZF-SR measurements in the holedoped cuprates La2-x Sr x Cu1-y Zn y O4, leading to the view electron-hole doping symmetry in high-Tc superconductors.

Population distribution pattern is directly related with economic gap of a region. Analysis of population distribution pattern is usually performed by studying statistical data on population. This study aimed to analyze population distribution pattern using image analysis concept, i.e. using satellite images. Levelset and morphological image filtering methods were used to analyze images to see distribution pattern. The research result showed that Levelset and morphological image filtering could remove a lot of noises in analysis result images and form object edge contours very clearly. The detected object contours were used as references to recognize population distribution pattern based on satellite image analysis. The pattern made based on the research result didn't show optimal result because Levelset performed image segmentation based on the contours of the analyzed objects. Other segmentation methods should be combined with it to produce clearer population distribution pattern.
