Growing demands on evidence-based teaching, combined with increasing business involve-ment, constitute a transformation of education in which research and research collaborations have become commodities and selling points for companies. This article, building on interviews with 30 Swedish edupreneurs, explores how the discursive trope of the Triple Helix organises collaborations between the business sector, research, and school. In what ways do people in edu-business use research and research collaborations and what kinds of values do they expect to produce through different practices? The study identifies five approaches to research - philanthropists, influencers, ambassadors, brokers, and engineers - and describe the edupreneurs' manifold ways of using, relating to, and translating research into sellable products. Using the theoretical lens of assetization, we show how different values are produced: (1) economic - strengthening the company's brand; (2) pedagogical - changing teaching practices; (3) political - lobbying for policy change and changing public conversations; (4) academic - defining useful research and funding research, and (5) social - building networks. We conclude that the striving for Triple Helix collaborations preserves the entrepreneurial right to define useful research and providing legitimacy through the power of research, an important asset on the edu-market. The article analyzes the current discussions on how to define evidence and implement evidence-based practice in education. Despite their frequent use, the terms “evidence-based practice”, “evidence-based education” etc. remain something like “empty signs” the meaning of which still needs to be defined. The authors highlight several discussion topics regarding research for evidence-based practice and evidence-based process: hierarchical versus pluralistic conception of evidence; theoretical reasoning as evidence; top-down evidence-based practice versus bottom-up evidence-informed practitioner judgment; conception of research use as linear process of uptake or dissemination versus as bidirectional process by which research and practice mutually inform each other. It is presumed that although historically evidence-based approach was associated with an appeal to science primarily as an institution of prescription, in its actual versions the relationship between science and practice is much more complex.

The CARe Burn Scales are a portfolio of burn-specific PROMs for people affected by burns, including a Child Form (for children &lt, 8 years (parent-proxy)), a Young Person Form (for young people aged 8–17 years), an Adult Form, and a Parent Form (for parents/carers of children aged 0–17 years). This study aimed to determine the responsiveness and minimal important difference (MID) values of the three scales developed for use in paediatric burn services and research. Participants were recruited by 15 UK Burn Services. Participants completed the appropriate CARe Burn Scale and a set of appropriate comparison validated measures, at three time points: 4 weeks (T1), 3 months (T2) and 6 months (T3) post-burn injury. Spearman’s correlation analysis and effect sizes based on Cohen’s d thresholds were reported and MID values were calculated. At baseline, 250 participants completed the Child Form, 69 completed the Young Person Form, and 320 completed the Parent Form. A total of 85–92% of participants were retained at follow up. The tested CARe Burn Scales were all responsive to change over time. MID values were created for all subscales and ranged from 2 to 11 for the Child Form, 3 to 14 for the Young Person Form and 3 to 10 for the Parent Form. The CARe Burn Scales for children, young people and parents are responsive to change over time. The scales are freely available for clinical and research use.

Catalonia has a long tradition of school innovation movements. These have increased in recent years as public administration and private entities have initiated substantial school reforms oriented toward the use of evidence in teaching practice. As the Catalan education system is highly autonomous, not all schools have embraced the evidence-informed practice (EIP) movement, and this has created differences between schools that choose to implement a change or innovation based on scientifically demonstrated evidence and those that do not. In the present paper, we will attempt to understand the current state of the inclusion of evidence-informed practice in Catalonia and to assess teachers’ perceptions of its adoption as part of their daily practice. In order to address these issues, we start by exploring the legal and structural framework grounding the implementation of evidence-informed practice in the Catalan system, and through interviews conducted in a sample of primary school leaders and teachers, we approach the organisational and individual level to explore the opportunities to implement an authentic evidence-informed practice approach in the Catalan education system.

The aims of this research are producing the test instrument of mathematics skill on elementary school which is valid and reliable. The instrument test development in this research use the development model of Wilson, Oriondo and Antonio which is modified. The number of testing sample in this research is 160 of students in each class. This research result: 1) the validity index of aiken v is 0.979 in grade IV and 0.988 in grade V. The coefficient of instrument skill in class IV and V are 0.883 and 0.954. The case indicates that the overall item is accepted and reliable to be used for measuring the development of mathematics skill of elementary school students.

This research purposes to determine the income of Grabbike drivers in Samarinda during March 2019 and to compare the income toward the City Minimum Wage (UMK) in 2019. This research also intends to know the average and the percentage of Grabbike driver’s income in Samarinda toward the City Minimum Wage (UMK) in 2019. This is a descriptive quantitative research. The populations in this research are 1200 Samarinda Grabbike drivers in 2019 with 120 respondents. Data collection techniques in this research use questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the net income formula; the average and percentage income. The research data and analysis of the Samarinda Grabbike driver’s income in 2019 includes several indicators; the number of working hours and working days. The research results show that the Samarinda Grabbike driver’s net income in March 2019 is Rp. 200,758,204. The percentage comparison between Samarinda Grabbike Driver’s incomes toward the City Minimum Wage (UMK) shows 24 drivers achieving high-level income or 20%, 65 drivers achieving medium-level income or 54.2% and 31 drivers achieving low-level income or 25.8%. The average income of Samarinda Grabbike drivers in March 2019 is Rp. 1,672,985.

State education agencies play critically important roles in promoting research use in education. They influence policy design and implementation, collect data about schools and districts, and can use their statewide reach to advance research use within the state agency and in districts. As Carrie Conaway explains, the states that have done the most to advance research use for systems improvement have built research infrastructures, used both existing research and local data to spur improvement, and formed close partnerships with researchers.

The governance of ethically acceptable research in higher education institutions has been under scrutiny over the past half a century. Concomitantly, recently, decision makers have required researchers to acknowledge the societal impact of their research, as well as anticipate and respond to ethical dimensions of this societal impact through responsible research and innovation principles. Using artificial intelligence population health research in the United Kingdom and Canada as a case study, we combine a mapping study of journal publications with 18 interviews with researchers to explore how the ethical dimensions associated with this societal impact are incorporated into research agendas. Researchers separated the ethical responsibility of their research with its societal impact. We discuss the implications for both researchers and actors across the Ethics Ecosystem.

Communication and informatics office of west Sumatra make efforts to increase employees’ working effectiveness in achieving working target. However, there are specific problems in working implementation. The problems are teamwork among the employees, working facilities is not supported, and lack of field specialization. This research use descriptive quantitative method that is aims to know the influence between independent variable (working culture) towards dependent variable (employees’ working effectiveness). The population of this research is employee of Communication and informatics office of west Sumatra that is 47 employees. This research use total sampling which the total sample is equal to total population. The result of this research show significance effect partially and simultaneously between working culture towards employees’ working effectiveness as big as 24,4%.

Stunting (dwarf) is a condition where toddlers have a length or height that is less than age. This condition is measured by size or size which is more than minus two median, standard deviations of the child growth standard of the WHO. Stunting toddlers include chronic nutrition problems caused by many factors such as socio-economic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, pain in infants, and lack of nutritional intake in infants. The type of research use is pre – experimental with one group design pretest posttest design where the design is no control group. The population of this studi were children who ages under 59 month. Technique samping uses probability sampling with purposive sampling method. Weight measurements were carried out before and after the supplementary food intervention, during the supplementary food intervention and keeping in mind the energy and protein consumption of food other than the supplementary food. he results showed that changes in weight status of children under five according to age indicated that there was a change in weight status of children, namely 2 children became malnourished and 13 others were still in the category of acute malnutrition. The results showed that there were differences in the Weight for Age (WAZ) index status before and after complementary foods.

The purpose of this study was to explain the effect of Halal Certification, Brand Image and Price on the purchasing decision process of students to brand of Tea Bottles “Sosro” (Case Study at Islamic Village Higher Education). This research used quantitative methode . The population in this study were students who had or frequently consumed Sosro Bottle Tea products. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 87 respondents. This research use d multiple linear regression analysis method, with SPSS 25 software. The results showed that the Halal Certification and Brand Image had a positive and significant effect on the decision to buy “ Sosro ” tea bottles for Islamic Vil l age Higher Education students, while the price had a positive and insignificant effect on the decision to purchase Teh Botol Sosro for Islamic Village Higher Education students, as well as certification. halal, Brand Image and Price simultaneously influence d the Purchase Decision of Sosro Bottled Tea Drink.

Collaborative problem-solving research approaches have the potential to support improvement in educational policy and practice beyond instruction, by facilitating the development of a shared understanding of complex problems and creating social structures where district, community, and research partners can work together to solve them. This study investigates how findings from a developmental evaluation of a district attendance initiative were incorporated into the initiation process of a networked improvement community to create a shared narrative about how members conceptualized the problem of absenteeism and how they should adapt their levers to better align to that problem. The developmental learning process created an infrastructure within which district leaders and community partners could develop a partnership culture that facilitated change in policy. This study suggests the need to revisit the assumptions that have driven non-instructional improvement efforts and highlights the potential of collaborative problem-solving to strengthen the implementation of district reforms.

This research aims to examine to analyze the effect of bonus scheme, exchange rate, intangible assets, and fiscal loss compensation on the company’s decision to do transfer pricing. The population in this research are all of the companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014 until 2018. The sample of study was determined by using purposive sampling method, and that total sample 93 companies. The data used secondary data and collected by documentation at www.idx.com. This research use logistic regression analysis as analysis method. The result of analysis in this research showed that bonus scheme, exchange rate, and fiscal loss compensation had no effect on the company’s decision to do transfer pricing. ABSTRAC When pregnant mothers should eat foods that contain nutritional value of high quality does not mean expensive food. Nutrition at the time of pregnancy should be increased up to 300 calories per day (Walyani,2015:88). Compared to the mother is not pregnant, the need for the mother will increase protein 68%, folic acid 100%, calcium 50%, and iron 200-300% (Sukarni,2013:115. The purpose of this research is to know the knowledge difference of pregnant women about the nutritional needs of pregnant women before and after the counseling in the village Joho Wates District Kediri Regency. This research uses experimental methods. The population of all expectant mothers in the village of Joho Wates District Kediri 18 people. Sampling techniques use a total sampling. The variables of this research use in this study, free variables are counseling about nutritional needs in pregnant women. In this study, a bound variable is the knowledge of pregnant women about nutritional needs in pregnant women. Therefore, more active health officers are expected to provide counseling. Based on the results of the analysis Ha received which means there is a difference in the knowledge of pregnant women about nutritional needs in pregnant women before and after counseling. The results of the statistical test conducted by SPSS with the formula Wilcoxon Match Pairtest on 18 respondents calculated using the computer showed a Z value of-3,740 with a signification value (σ) of 0.000 (σ ≤ 0.05).

This study was conducted to determine the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction at Workshop UD. Sari Motor Pekanbaru. Population in this research is all consumer at Workshop UD. Sari Motor Pekanbaru until December 2016 amounted to 2,182 people. Samples taken as many as 96 people refer to the Slovin formula, data collection techniques in this study are questionnaires and interviews. Data analysis in this research use descriptive and quantitative analysis method. Descriptive is to compare the actual reality with theories that have to do with the problem to draw a conclusion and tabulated in the form of tables of frequency distribution. While quantitative methods of research based on the data can be calculated to produce a robust assessment. The result of simple linear regression research in this research is Y = 6.268 + 0.391X. By using t test, obtained ttabel value of 1,291 and a mean value 11,916 value t­count 11,916 >ttable 1,291, which mean service quality have significant effect to consumer satisfaction at Workshop UD. Sari Motor Pekanbaru with big influence of 60,2%.

Organizations that fund research to address global development challenges are increasingly interested in measuring the social and economic outcomes of research. However, traditional metrics for measuring research outputs are often insufficient for capturing the outcomes targeted by international assistance organizations. To address this, the Center for Development Research (CDR), part of the U.S. Global Development Lab at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), has designed a new tool: the Program and Policy Change (PPC) framework for tracking and quantifying the influence of research on program and policy change in international development. The framework draws on existing conceptual frameworks of evidence uptake and the literature on policy change. This article describes the design of the PPC framework and presents the results of applying the framework to two USAID research programs. The benefits of the framework include applicability across research sectors, focus on evidence-informed policy at various levels of geographical influence, and inclusion of a numeric scoring system that enables quantification of outcomes.

Introduction : Contraception is part of reproductive health services for the regulation of pregnancy, and is the right of every individual as a sexual being. There are two methods of contraception that are Non-MKJP (Non Long Term Contraception Method and MKJP (Long Term Contraception Method) one of them is IUD Contraception IUD is a contraceptive device installed in uterus which is relatively more effective than other contraception. knowing the relationship of husband support with IUD contra ception election at Pria Age Subur (PUS) in Jatirejo Village Nganjuk regency. Methods: This research use correlation research method with cross sectional, conducted on February 21, 2018. Population in this research is All acceptor of new KB in January-August as many as 38 people. Sampling used total sampling. Independent variable of research is husband support, while research dependent variable is IUD contraception choice. Data collection with questionnaires. Data analysis with Coefficient Contingency test with α = 0,05. Results: The result of the research shows that most of respondents (55,3%) have good support from husband while most of them are 21 respondents (55,3%) respondents in IUD contraception choice have good husband support. Coefficient Contingency test results show ρ value = 0,000 ≤ α = 0,05 and so Ho is rejected and Ha accepted. Conclusions: There is a relationship of husband support with the selection of iUD cotration on the couples of childbearing age (pus) in Jatirejo village Nganjuk regency so it is necessary counseling on husband about the importance of husband support in choosing the most appropriate contraception. This research aims to excavate the meaning and substance contained in the entire thought of Islamic boarding school and madrasah in the politic of educational in Indonesia. The method of research use bibliografic research with content analysis. The results of study revealed that Islamic boarding school and madrasah in politic of education in Indonesia experienced tremendous dynamics, especially starting from the colonial period, namely the pioneering stages of the establishment of madrasah; the old order. Islamic boarding school and madrasah are not only recognized, but also in the form of coaching and guidance; the new order, madrasah is aimed to build an intact national education system completely. Therefore, madrasah has extra burden of considerable weight, because it must provide curriculum of level public school completely, he also had to provide the essential materials of Islam that had been taught; the reformation period. Islamic boarding school and madrasah diniyah received recognition juridically; and the period after reform. Islamic boarding school and madrasah are faced with a touch of technology.

This study aims to study the relationship of low birth weight babies (BBLR) with perinatal mortality in the Perinatology Room RSUD. dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. This research use cross sectional design. Population in this research all newborn in perinatology room of RSUD dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu in January-December 2016 as many as 653 people consisting of 293 people with LBW and 360 people not BBLR. Proportional sampling random sampling technique so that the number of samples will be taken as many as 87 people who consist of 39 babies babies with LBW and 48 babies who are not LBW. The data collection in this study used secondary data by looking at documentary documentation in the Perinatology Room of RSUD. dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu. Data analysis technique done by univariate and bivariat analysis with Chi-Square statistical test (c²) through SPSS program. The results of the study were : there were 52 (59.8%) infants who did not experience perinatal death, 48 (55.2%) of babies born not BBLR, there was a significant correlation between low birth weight infant with perinatal mortality in room perinatologi RSUD. dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu with moderate category, and low birth weight babies were at risk 5 times perinatal mortality when compared with infants who are not low birth weight (LBW). It was expected that midwives could provide counseling to pregnant women to routinely check pregnancy, so that later could reduce complications arising from pregnancy in mothers who were at high risk.Keywords : baby, low birth weight, perinatal death

This case study examined how research has been used in the federal higher education rulemaking process, through which the U.S. Department of Education implements programs under the Higher Education Act. Findings indicate that in this high-conflict policymaking process, politics infuses various forms of research use to create several overlapping categories of use (political-instrumental, political-conceptual, and political-imposed) that existing typologies of research use omit. This study demonstrates how previous conceptualizations of forms of research use should be expanded to account for these politically infused forms of research use. This study also uncovered consequences of widespread political research use in rulemaking, including a general distrust of research presented in the process and political actors using the same or similar data to reach different conclusions.
