ABSTRACT. This paper is focused on assessing phonological abilities through rhyming abilities. These rhyming abilities are addressed by: rhyme exposure, judging upon rhymes, matching the rhyming words, producing rhyming words. Working procedures reveals a psycho-linguist approach for assessing rhyming abilities, this approach being implemented in the situation of a Pierre- Robin case study. The obtained results were analyzed in the context of an extended assessment session, they being able to underline the presence of a phonological processing deficit in this case. These results stress on the fact that rhyming abilities can be considered predictive factors in developing phonological abilities.

ABSTRACT. As pedagogical approach presented focused on the intervention for remedial purpose for a student with learning disabilities and ADHD, the integrated conceptual model, the main basis of this study has used many aspects of executive functions with special features in the field of ADHD but in the same time played an important role in solving Romanian language tasks and mathematics tasks.

ABSTRACT. The study investigates the effects of adapted computer program on training the verbal comprehension at students with hearing impairment. Participants: 10 students with different degrees of hearing impairment were pre-tested for verbal comprehension with an adapted vocabulary scale. The following 10 sessions of computer-assisted training offered an alternative method of learning. Final results revealed that further stimulating and developing of verbal comprehension for students with hearing impairment can be achieved by diversifying the topics approached in schools through alternative methods and materials.

ABSTRACT. In the present study are presented some aspects of a broader study aimed at developing aspects of verbal auditory function in individuals with hearing loss wearing digital hearing prosthesis and individuals with cochlear implants. By viewing the acoustic features of speech, using Cool Edit Pro program and the program Praat increase the effectiveness of intervention to correct pronunciation in people with hearing loss.
