The purpose of this research is to describe the analysis of innovative learning and student learning outcomes in class X SMA Jambi Medan during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research is qualitative research, the research subjects were students in class X SMA Jambi Medan totaling 33 people. Data collection techniques were obtained through interviews and questionnaires. The results showed that the science learning process in class X SMA Jambi Medan during the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out offline using a shift system by applying the discovery learning learning model with a scientific approach and combined with several mind mapping learning methods, group discussions, question and answer and assignment. Student participation in science learning during the Covid-19 pandemic was good. Students participate actively in the science learning process. Assessment of students' science learning outcomes achieves the minimum completeness criteria.

This study aims to (1) describe the urgence of developing local wisdom based Chemistry learning and Lombok community tourism in the UNDIKMA Chemistry education study program and (2) describe the learning potential of growing student scientific literacy. This research was conducted in the form of a survey involving 65 students in the UNDIKMA Chemistry education study program. The data were collected using two Likert scale questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the category percentage technique. The results of the study showed that the application of local wisdom based Chemistry learning and tourism in the Lombok community in the UNDIKMA Chemistry education study program still lacked. Student responses to the idea of local wisdom based Chemistry learning and the tourism of the people of Lombok were categorized very well. Students had a high level of confidence that this learning method would increase motivation and attitudes towards learning and provided provisions that were in accordance with the needs of graduates as problem solvers and agents of change in a society that had the uniqueness of local wisdom and tourism potential.

The aims of this study is to examine the business resilience of the Islamic banking in Indonesia, and predicts the recovery of Islamic banking performance due to the shock of the Covid-19 Pandemic. The population in this study was Islamic Commercial Banks. The research focused on all Islamic Banking in Indonesia, period January 2017 to May 2022 as many as 12 Sharia Commercial Banks consisting of 1 bank in the Bank Group based on Core Capital (KBMI) 3, 1 bank is in KBMI 2 and 10 banks are in KBMI 1. The research used a descriptive analysis method of the Islamic banking in Indonesia. The variables tested included the ratio of NPF, CAR, ROA, Asset SIZE and GDPG growth. The analysis tool used VAR/VECM. The results showed that the business resilience of the Islamic banking industry was maintained. This condition is inseparable from government interference in the context of National Economic Recovery so that the financial performance of the Islamic banking was under threshold value. Modeling estimator using VAR at optimum lag 1 and showed that financial variable shock due to the Covid-19 Pandemic were responded to in the short term. The dynamics of variables and the recovery towards equilibrium conditions take varying amounts of time. The biggest contribution from the change in response results from the variable itself but the contribution weakens further and the dominant determinant variable to the change in response is the VARIABLE SIZE.

This study aimed to determine the effect of Television Advertisement Version “Semeja Bersaudara” And Instagram Advertisement Version “Serunya Jalan Terus” On Teh Botol Sosro Brand Image. The study method used is quantitative methods. Data collection techniques used in the questionnaire form and literature. The population of this study from STIAMI Institute student. The sampling technique in this research is nonprobability sampling with the accidental sampling method. A sample of 100 samples has been obtained. The data analysis used is multiple linear regression analysis using IBM Statistic version 22. The results showed that the Television Advertisement Version “Semeja Bersaudara” has an influence on Brand Image Teh Botol Sosro of 44,3%. Instagram Advertisement Version “Serunya Jalan Terus” has an influence on Brand Image Teh Botol Sosro of 40,1%. Television Advertisement Version “Semeja Bersaudara” and Instagram Advertisement Version “Serunya Jalan Terus” significantly influence on Teh Botol Sosro Brand Image. Television Advertisement Version “Semeja Bersaudara” and Instagram Advertisement Version “Serunya Jalan Terus” affect the variants of Teh Botol Sosro Brand Image simultaneously with value 0f 0,471 or 47,1% and there are 52,9% other unexplained factors not included in this study.

The outbreak of delphacid planthoppers has been detected across corn-growing regions in South Lampung. Survey study was conducted in three corn fields in Natar District, South Lampung Regency. In each study site, five corn plants were randomly sampled. In each sampled plant, one leaf with maximum number of planthoppers was selected for population recording. Based on the morphological identification results, there were two types of corn planthoppers attacking corn fields during sampling periods: the white bellied-planthopper, Stenocranus pacivicus Kirkaldy and Peregrinus maidis Ashmead. During sampling periods, S. pacivicus was most abundant species, while, the Peregrinus planthopper was almost undetectable. There was similar trend peak of density S. pacificus brachypters & nymph and macropters among the three corn fields. The maximum number of S. pacificus brachypters & nymph 412.38 ±23.12 individuals’ leaf−1 was recorded at 70 days after planting (DAP). While the S. pacificus macropters reached the highest population number 43.81 ± 5,76 individuals leaf−1. Extended feeding activity by planthoppers caused the chlorosis and necrosis of the leaf, reduced plant vigor, and stunting, resulting hopperburn symptoms. The results of this study confirm that the explosion of delphacid planthopper sand corn hopperburn are real and become a threat for corn production in Lampung Province.

Every student must have and develop spatial abilities to be successfull in learning geometry. The rapid development of technology also allows teachers to use macromedia flash as an alternative in developing and improving students' spatial abilities. This study aimed to determine and describe the improvement of the students' spatial ability after getting geometry material by using macromedia flash at MTsN Model Banda Aceh. This research used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design and one group pretest posttest design. The population of this study was all students of class VIII MTsN Model Banda Aceh with random sampling as the sample selection techniques so that the selected sample was the students of class VIII-5. The data collection in this study was carried out using a spatial ability test consisted of pretest and posttest questions. The gained data were analyzed with SPSS version 17 with paired sample t-test and percentage. The results showed that there was an improvement in students' spatial ability after having geometry material learning by using macromedia flash at MTsN Model Banda Aceh. Besides, the improvement of students' spatial ability based on indicator of perception spatial was 61.1%, mental rotation indicator was 55.6%, and indicator of visualization spatial was 66.7%.

Breadfruit is recognized as a plant with the potential to be cultivated as an alternative staple food due to its high starch content and envisioned as a solution to mitigate hunger. The plant bears abundant fruits throughout the year with its productivity is comparable to other staple crops and it thrives well in countries where the poor population is high. Breadfruit however, exudes copious amount of latex upon harvesting and the stained epicarp often perceived as low in quality. Standardized methods of harvesting in plantations include a stage of latex draining by inverting the fruit for several hours. The latex will be drained to the ground and considered as an agricultural waste with no current commercial application. Despite being considered as a nuisance, plant latexes is a rich source of proteases functioned as a defensive mechanism against pathogenic attacks. In the effort to identify its potential, the breadfruit latex protease was purified and its characteristics were determined. The stability of the protease was investigated and its kinetics of inactivation was estimated in this research. Based on the analyses, breadfruit latex was discovered to consist of a serine protease with highly stable properties, potentially developed as an alternative commercial protease.

The use of the Three-Pass Protocol method in exchanging secret text messages is one effective method because the two interested parties do not need to use a single key to open the message sent. But there is a possibility that the message cannot be described because the cipher used is not suitable. The purpose of this study is to show whether the Affine Cipher Algorithm with One Time Pad Cipher using the Three-Pass Protocol method can be used to encrypt and decryption the text message.

Agricultural management cropping systems play an important role in affecting a crop plant’s ability to tolerate or resist insect pests. Field studies were conducted to examine the effect of two strategies management systems: fertilizer treatment and intercropping soybean with corn on soybean aphid (Aphis glycines Matsumura) population and soybean growth and yield parameters. The intercropping treatments were: soybean alone; 2:1 soybean/corn intercrop; and 3:1 soybean/corn intercrop. While the soil fertility treatments were the combination of NPK (urea 100 kg ha-1 + SP-36 200 kg ha-1 + KCl 200 kg ha-1) levels, dolomite (4 ton ha-1), compost (10 ton ha-1), and chicken manure (10 ton ha-1). The results of the first study showed that the intercropping soybean with corn significantly reduced the population density of soybean aphids. However, there were no significant effects of intercropping systems on soybean growth (plant height) and yield (number seed per pod and thousand seed weight) performances except on the number of soybean pods per plant. Meanwhile, the result of the second study indicated that soil fertilizer treatments had a significant effect on the soybean plant characteristics: leaf numbers; pod numbers; and plant height. Combining intercropping methods and soil fertilizer management offer an opportunity to protect the soybean plants by natural and sustainable pest management.

Soil nutrition management and predation by Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) impacts on Aphis glycines (Homoptera: Aphididae). Understanding how soil nutrient availability and natural enemies impacts on aphid populations are important for soybean aphid, Aphis glycines Matsumura (Homoptera: Aphididae), management. Studies were conducted to examine the effect of soil nutrient management and predaceous coccinellid beetle, Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Fabr.), (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) on A. glycines population. The plot size of 300 m2 was set up into 12 plots consisting four treatments and three replications. The treatments were the combination of NPK (urea 100 kg ha-1 + SP-36 200 kg ha-1 + KCl 200 kg ha-1) levels, dolomite (4 ton ha-1), compost (10 ton ha-1), and chicken manure (10 ton ha-1). While, the predator’s potential of C. sexmaculata was measured both in the field and laboratory conditions. The results of the studies indicated that soil nutrition treatments had significant effects on the plant performances: leaf numbers; pod numbers; and plant height. In line with this result, there were significant effects of soil nutrient treatments on the amount of plant nutrient: C, N, P, K, C, Ca, and Mg. The positive correlation coefficient was observed between the aphid population and nitrogen content, while the significant negative correlation found on between aphid population and the calcium and magnesium content. Meanwhile, the mean number of soybean aphids (A. glycines) consumed by C. sexmaculata increased from 8.915 to 40.64 aphids, with an average 26.35 ± 3.16 aphids. The mean numbers of aphids consumed by predator were significantly influenced by prey densities. The exclosure study result showed that the densities of A. glycines in caged plants was higher than that in un-caged plants. In the no-cage treatments, natural enemies had complete access to soybean aphids and caused the total reduction (100%) of A. glycines density by the 8th wk sample period. These findings suggest that reducing the amount of synthetic chemical fertilizer NPK can be supplemented with natural organic materials such as composts and chicken manure and natural occurring predator, C. sexmaculata, is an important natural enemy of the soybean aphid.

Impact of Permethrin-Insecticide Application on Insect Pest (Thosea sp.) and Insect Pollinators (Elaeidobius kamerunicus) in Oil Palm Agroecosystem. Insecticide efficacy studies are usually determined from the target insect (pest) data without regard to the effect of that treatment on the non-target insects (such as pollinators). This study examined the effect of permethrin (one of widely used insecticides for agriculture) on defoliating insect pest (nettle caterpillar, Thosea sp.) and insect pollinator (weevil, Elaeidobius kamerunicus) which lives on pollen of male oil palm flowers. A complete block design was used in which each of four blocks consisted of 5 treatments (4 concentrations of permethrin; 50; 100; 200; and 250 ppm and control) . The results clearly demonstrated that the application of permethrin reduced significantly the number of nettle caterpillar throughout all sprayed plants (up to 100% 14 d after treatments). A significant difference in mean population of the caterpillar were detected between plots sprayed with permethrin (0.05; 0.25; 0.53; and 2.00 larvae/leaves at concentrations of 250; 200; 100; and 50 ppm respectively) and control plant (5.2 larvae/leaves) 3 d after treatments. This insecticide effects persisted for at least 14 d after treatments. On the other hand, permethrin application in oil palm agroecosystem had adverse effects on main pollinator (E. kamerunicus). The number of weevil pollinators on sprayed plants (12.5; 59.3; 77.5; and 209.5 weevil/male flower at concentrations of 50; 100; 200; and 250 ppm respectively) were significantly fewer compared to the control plants (976.0 weevil/male flower). The results indicate that, despite high efficacy of permethrin in reducing number of insect pests of oil palm (Thosea sp.), its application also cause a severe impact on important insect pollinators (E. kamerunicus).

Population outbreak of the oriental migratory locust, Locusta migratoria manilensis Meyen (Orthoptera: Aciridae), in Lampung between 1990’s to 2000’s has caused serious economic loss to agriculture. Anticipation of the pest outbreak is required to prevent serious loss in the future; one of possible approach is by analyzing data of rainfall and locust damage area. The study was aimed to analyze the relationship between rainfalls and area of damage caused by locust population in rice and corn fields using 17 years period of data from Lampung Province. The results indicate that locust damage occurred when there were high rainfalls followed low ones at wet season. Time lag of 8 month was determined as the period needed for L. migratoria manilensis to raise its population when the pest has developed gregarious colonies in the region. Rainfalls between 248,27 mm/month (on corn fields) to 287,06 mm/month (on rice fields) were optimum for the initiation of the locust population increase after a period of dry weather in the region. Results of autocorrelation tests indicate that the occurrence of locust damage in an area would be followed by population increase in a region where gregarious colonies have developed.

Association of mealybug, Dysmicoccus brevipes (Ckll.) (Homoptera: Pseudococcidae) and fire ant, Solenopsis sp. (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) on two pineapple–planting patterns. A pineapple mealybug, Dysmicoccus brevipes (Ckll.) (Homoptera: Pseudococcidae) is an important insect pest in major pineapple growing areas. Its feeding activity causes damage on the pineapple plants and it can also transmit pineapple wilt virus. The mealybugs are often found in association with fire ants, Solenopsis sp. (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) that provide protection in exchange for the sweet honeydew liquid. The field study was conducted to determine the close association between mealybugs and fire ants on two plant row spacing (single and double row spacing) four different plant stages (3, 7, 11, and 17 months after planting). The results indicated that there was a significant correlation between the mealybugs and the fire ant on two pineapple-planting patterns, particularly on late growth periods (11, and 17 months after planting). In this field study, population of mealybugs on double row spacing were more abundant (ranging from 0 to 25.67 bugs/plant) compared with that on single row spacing which ranged 0 to 3.67 bugs/plant. Moreover, general mean of population density of mealybugs (14.53 bugs/plant) on double row was significantly higher than that on single row spacing (1.83 bugs/plant). In line with this mealybug-population development, mean numbers of fire ants caught on baited-sticky traps were ranged from 0 to 8.53 ants/trap on single row versus 0 to 23.57 ants/trap on double row spacing pattern. The general mean number of captured ants (12.73 ants/trap) on double row was significantly higher compared with that on single row spacing (5.55 ants/trap). It appears that the patterns of population densities of mealybugs are closely related to that of fire ants that act as attendant species on two pineapple row spacing.

Purpose − This survey research investigated important issues concerning computer use among novice graduate teachers from teacher training colleges in Sabah. The first issue was concerned with the levels of computer attitudes (CA) and computer use. The second was concerned with the effects of CA on computer use (CU). The third was concerned with moderating effects of the school environment (SE) on relationship between CA and computer use. Method − A set of questionnaires was used as the research instrument and stratified systematic sampling was used to determine the research samples. The sample consisted of 192 primary and secondary school teachers. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics (factor analysis and regression analysis). Research hypotheses were tested at significance level of a = 0.05. Findings − The findings showed that novice teachers have moderate CA and CU. CA had significant effects on computer use. SE has moderating impacts on the relationships between CA towards CU. Value − The study provided wider implications for theory development, practices and policymaking that can be associated with the computer use among teachers. As a whole, most of the theoretical rationales used in explaining those relationships have been supported.
