Bu çalışmanın amacı, 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin Ay’ın evreleri konusundaki algılarını belirlemektir. Bu doğrultuda öğrencilerden bir ay boyunca Ay’ı gözlemlemeleri ve bu gözlemlerini her gün çizmeleri istenmiştir. Bir ay sonunda öğrencilerden çizimlerini tarihsel olarak sıralamalarını isteyerek, bu çizimler ile ilgili birebir görüşme yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında, Batman ilinde, bir devlet okulunda bulunan 6.sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya 20 öğrenci katılmış, 17’si ile birebir görüşme yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenografik yöntem kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin çizimleri gruplandırılarak analiz edilmiştir ve öğrencilerin Ay’ın evreleri konusundaki algıları ortaya çıkarılmaya çalışılmıştır. Veriler incelendiğinde, öğrencilerin bilimsel olarak hatalı çizimler yaptığı ve görüşme sonuçlarında kavram yanılgıları olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin bireysel farklılıkları, hazırbulunuşluk düzeyleri, zihinleri, deneyimleri ve bulundukları çevre gibi etkenlerin algılarını da etkilediği ve öğrencilerin algılarının birbirinden farklı olduğu belirlenmiştir., The aim of this study is to determine the perceptions of 6th grade students about the phases of the Moon. Accordingly, students were asked to observe the Moon for a month and draw these observations daily. At the end of one month, semi-structured interviews were made about these drawings, asking students to sort their drawings historically. The study group of the research consists of 6th grade students in a public school in the province of Batman in the 2018-2019 academic year. 20 students participated in the study and 17 of them were interviewed one to one. In this study, phenomenographic method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The drawings of the students were grouped and analyzed and students' perceptions about the phases of the Moon were tried to be revealed. When the data were examined, it was determined that the students made scientifically incorrect drawings and there were misconceptions in the results of the interview. As a result of the research, it was determined that students' perceptions of factors such as individual differences, readiness levels, minds, experiences and the environment in which they are located also differed from each other.

The purpose of the current study is to elicit how the participating 6th grade students describe the concepts of “star”, “planet” and “Moon, Sun and Earth” in their minds before and after conducting the activities related to the unit of “Our Earth, Moon and Our Source of Life, The Sun”. The study group of the research constitutes the 6th grade students at a secondary school which is a transfer center for the secondary school students from the surrounding villages situated within Çumra town of Konya province in Academic Year 2015-2016. The participants of the study are 19 girls and 12 boys, a total of 31 students. The qualitative research method was used in this study. In order to determine the students’ perceptions, the drawing technique was used as the data collection tool. The data collection tool was administered to the students before and after studying the unit “Our Earth, Moon and Our Source of Life, The Sun” taught within the 6th grade science curriculum. The participating students were asked to draw a picture reflecting their thoughts about the concepts of “star”, “planet” and “Moon, Sun and Earth”. Under their drawings, they were asked to write what they wanted to explain in their drawings. In the analysis of the collected data, the coding scheme for a phenomenological study and the content analysis were used. While analyzing the data collected from the students through the drawing technique, they were classified by using the common codes and together with the excerpts taken from the students’ statements, the students’ mind maps were formed in the “Inspiration 9” program. As a result of the study, it was found that while the participating 6th grade students had missing information and non-scientific understanding about the concepts of “star”, “planet” and “Moon, Sun and Earth” before the application, the students’ explanations and perceptions about the shapes and characteristics of stars and sizes and locations of the Moon, Earth and Sun after the application showed positive changes in their scientific perceptions of these concepts., Bu çalışmanın amacı, araştırmaya katılan ortaokul 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin “Dünyamız, Ay ve Yaşam Kaynağımız Güneş” ünitesi kapsamında gerçekleştirilen etkinlikler öncesinde ve sonrasında zihinlerinde “yıldız”, “gezegen ve “Ay, Dünya ve Güneş” kavramlarını nasıl betimlediklerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2015-2016 eğitim öğretim yılında, Konya ili Çumra ilçesinde yer alan bir taşıma merkezi ortaokuldaki 6. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya 19’u kız ve 12’si erkek olmak üzere 31 kişi katılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin algılarını belirlemek için veri toplama aracı olarak çizim tekniği kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı, Ortaokul 6. Sınıf Fen Bilimleri 3-8. Sınıf Öğretim Programı “Dünyamız, Ay ve Yaşam Kaynağımız Güneş” ünitesi işlenmeden önce ve sonra uygulanmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan bütün öğrencilerden “yıldız”, gezegen” ve “Ay, Dünya ve Güneş kavramları ile ilgili düşüncelerini yansıtan bir resim çizmeleri istenmiştir. Resimlerin altına ise, çizimlerinde anlatmak istediklerini ifade etmeleri beklenmiştir. Verilerin analizinde fenomenolojik çalışma için kodlama şablonu ve içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerden çizim yöntemiyle alınan veriler çözümlenirken ortak kodlar ile sınıflandırılmıştır ve öğrenci ifadelerinden örneklerle birlikte “Inspiration 9” programı kullanılarak zihin haritaları oluşturulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda, araştırmaya katılan ortaokul 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin uygulama öncesi genel olarak “yıldız”, “gezegen”, “Ay, Dünya ve Güneş” konusunda eksik ve bilimsel olmayan kavramlara sahipken, ilgili ünite işlendikten sonra, öğrencilerin çoğunun yıldızların şekli ve özellikleri, gezegenler, Ay, Dünya ve Güneş’in büyüklükleri ve konumları ile ilgili algılarının ve açıklamalarının bilimsel yönde olumlu olarak değiştiği tespit edilmiştir.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, araştırmaya katılan ortaokul5. sınıf öğrencilerinin “Işığın ve Sesin Yayılması” ünitesi kapsamında işlenen“ışık kirliliği” kavramını nasıl anlamlandırdıklarını ortaya çıkarmaktır.Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2016-2017 eğitim öğretim yılında, Konya ili Çumrailçesinde yer alan bir taşıma merkezi ortaokuldaki 5. sınıf öğrencilerioluşturmaktadır. Çalışmaya 24’ü kız ve 17’si erkek olmak üzere 41 kişikatılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji desenikullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin algılarını belirlemek için veri toplama aracıolarak çizim tekniği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya katılan bütün öğrencilerden ışıkkirliliği ile ilgili düşüncelerini yansıtan bir resim çizmeleri istenmiştir.Resimlerin arkasına ise, çizimlerinde anlatmak istediklerini ifade etmeleribek lenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda, araştırmaya katılan ortaokul 5. sınıföğrencilerinin ışık kirliliğinin astronomiye, canlılara ve doğaya olumsuzetkilerine, doğru aydınlatma tekniklerine ait çizimler yaptıkları tespitedilmiştir. Ayrıca, öğrencilerin ışık kirliliği konusunda farkındalıkkazandıkları söylenebilir., Theaim of this study is to reveal how the 5th grade students taking part in theresearch interpret the concept of ‘light pollution’ conducted as part of “Lightand Sound Propagation” unit. The study group of the research constitutes the5th grade students at a secondary school which is a transfer center for thesecondary school students from the surrounding villages situated within Çumratown of Konya province in Academic Year 2016-2017. 41 people including 24 girlsand 17 boys participated in the study. Phenomenology pattern, one of thequalitative research methods, was applied in this study. Drawing technique wasused as data collection tool in order to determine the students’ perceptions. Allthe students participating in the study were asked to draw a picture reflectingtheir ideas related to light pollution. Behind the pictures, they were expectedto express what they wanted to say in their drawings. As a result of theresearch, it was determined that the 5th grade students participating in theresearch performed drawings with regards to lighting engineering and theadverse effects of light pollution on astronomy, creatures and nature. Inaddition, it can be said that the students have become aware of lightpollution.
