Affirming the sacraments as symbols of communion raises the question of how to enable this communion to take place between churches that currently celebrate their sacraments separately. Sacramental communion is an ecumenical question. Is it possible for a consensus on the doctrine and celebration of the sacraments to enable churches to recognize each other sacramentally? The purpose of this article is to answer this question by presenting the convergences and consensus that the ecumenical dialogue on the sacraments allows us to reap. The method we use is the qualitative analysis of the bibliography that presents the sacramental theology in an ecumenical perspective. And the results achieved show that a mutual sacramental acceptance requires from the churches a structural reception, in their doctrines and liturgies, of the convergences already reached in the dialogue about the sacraments. As a consequence, they also need a joint effort to re-signify rites, gestures and symbols, as well as remaking the semantic universe of semantic universe of sacramental terminology. ABSTRACT The goal of the present research, bibliographical and documentary, is to analyse how the COVID-19 pandemic affects the live of the churches, focussing on the celebration of the sacrament of Holy Communion/Eucharist, and how Catholic and Lutheran churches have sought to react to the given situation. In the Catholic case, masses are celebrated in the presence of a reduced number of persons and transmitted online. The Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil – IECLB, for its part, has preferred to discourage the celebration of Holy Communion for the time being, which has resulted in a kind of already extended “Eucharistic fasting”. Either solution has its advantages and disadvantages and its practical and doctrinal reasons to be in place. Analysing the different attitudes of the two aforementioned churches in relation to Eucharistic celebrations during the pandemic, the article explores new modalities that could be discovered for the celebration of Holy Communion/Eucharist in this context, as well as their respective theological implications.

DOCTRINAL theology , *CHRISTIANITY , *APOLOGETICS , *RELIGIOUS diversity , *RELIGIONS , *THEOLOGY - Abstract
The changing and plural religious scenario of our time implies in Christian theology, particularly that produced in universities, spaces that are catalysts for world issues, with religion being one of the most relevant. The objective of this article is to verify how the academic theology, especially that produced in the university, expresses this current characteristic: plurality. The method is the qualitative analysis of studies that value plurality in faith and in Christian theology. The hypothesis is that ecumenical and interreligious perspectives are fundamental for a plural theology today. And this requires a review both in the formal and epistemologia aspect of theology, as well as in its content. The conclusion is that theology needs to be constructed as plural knowledge, not only because it dialogues with cultures, sciences and different ways of believing, but also because it is itself plural. The article aims to analyze the ecclesial pluralism in the Christian world, the tensions and conflicts that exist there, but also the possibilities of meeting in the witnessing of the Gospel. By the qualitative analysis method of the available bibliography identifies, on the one hand, socio-cultural and theological factors of pluralism that are expressions of contradiction in the understanding and experience of the Christian faith. On the other hand, it points to elements that may favor to overrun of divisions. For this it is necessary a resizing of the theological reading of the pluralism of churches seeking to verify the possibilities for a recognition of the legitimate motivations of faith, assume the demands of the dialogue and strengthen the availability to review the presuppositions of the separation of Christians. As a result, it is understood that ecclesial pluralism does not directly imply only the division of the church, but can also express distinct possibilities of faithfulness to the Gospel. Thus, the overcoming of the Christian division is not due to the cancellation of a healthy ecclesial pluralism, but by the interaction between different ecclesial traditions in the testimony of the unity of faith in Christ, "for the world to believe" (Jo 17,21).

Abstract Luther’s Reformation set up new ways of being Church and of being Christian with implications to Christianity as a whole. Therefore, an ecumenical hermeneutics of Reformation is required, which is practiced here by analyzing the relations between the Catholic and the Lutheran churches, in order to comprehend those aspects of Reformation that may be received nowadays by these two ecclesial traditions according to each one’s specificity. The results show Catholics and Lutherans as coheirs of Luther’s Reformation in what keeps each Church faithful to its origin, Christ, by which they share a common faith and give testimony of the Gospel to the world.

The ecumenical movement is a dynamic reality in constant transformation according to the new times, the new contexts and the new subjects that are integrated in the dialogue about oikoumene, such as cultures and religions. The objective of this study is to investigate how this fact affects the reconfiguration of the semantic universe of the concept "ecumenism" nowdays. It proceeds by analyzing the challenges and contributions that the new cultural and religious actors present to ecumenical dialogue in the continent; and it concludes that significant elements emerge for the elaboration of a Latin American ecumenical theology. - Abstract
The article addresses Christian Faith hermeneutics and its implications in the history of Christian division and search of reconciliation. The focus is the relationship between Catholic and Lutheran churches in the context of the Reformation's anniversary. It demonstrates the living out of faith as a result of a hermeneutical process of the Gospels where the different traditions emerge and configure distinct ecclesial identities. So, if during five hundred years Catholics and Lutherans diverged on the understanding of the Gospel; Ecumenical hermeneutics that favor overcoming these is urgent. The article takes some aspects of Luther's hermeneutics and relates them to Catholic hermeneutics; demonstrating some methodological elements for Catholic-Lutheran Hermeneutics of Faith, and shows how the joint commemoration of the Reformation in 2017 may motivate communion between Catholics and Lutherans. 11.

- Abstract
In the history of Christianity, the term "reform" is commonly used to identify the movement of change in the church started by Martin Luther in the sixteenth century, and the churches that emerged from that movement. However, this concept also designates other realities since the aspiration for reforms in church is present throughout its history. In ecclesiology, the term "reform" indicates the different initiatives for change that focus in doctrine, structures, spiritualities and pastoral projects of the church. It does not indicate ruptures with an ecclesial institution, but its renewal, a tension between continuity and discontinuity in the relationship between essendi modus and operandi modus of the church in every age. In this way, Vatican II should be taken as a council of reform as well as the current moment of the pontificate of Pope Francisco. This paper aims to analyze the possibilities for reform in the Catholic Church, tracing bonds linking between the reformist proposals of the sixteenth century reformers, Vatican II and the current pontificate of Pope Francisco. Thus, the semantic universe of the term "reform" gets here an ecumenical sense, indicating the necessary changes in the different churches in order to promote Christian unity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

CHURCH , *ECUMENICAL movement , *PETRINE office , *CONFIRMATION (Christianity) , *AUTHORITY in religion - Abstract
The article presents an approach to ecumenical ecclesiology, which appeared to reflect the ecumenical dimension of Ecclesiology. The author approaches the subject in five steps: the need for an ecumenical ecclesiology, ecumenism as "formal principle" of ecclesiology and the sources and methods of ecumenical ecclesiology. He concludes with the study of "authority, God's gift to the Church", where the question of authority, the Episcopal ministry as service to the unit and the Petrine ministry as confirmation of the unit, are discussed.
