Olive Haller-Nuaman and her husband Mejd have transformed their 1950s ex-council house in Southwest London into a spacious and welcoming home. They knocked down walls to create an open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, and added a small extension at the back. The couple maintained the original large picture window at the front and updated it with energy-efficient PVC and black shutters. They also exposed the beams in the ceilings to create more height and character. The house is furnished with low-lying furniture to create an open and airy feel, and the bedrooms and bathroom are decorated with a soft and warm color palette. [Extracted from the article]
