Prikaz utjecaja turizma na gospodarstvo Republike Hrvatske predstavlja glavni cilj ovog završnog rada. Turizam danas iako u odnosnu na druge gospodarske grane možemo reći da je relativno mlada grana, no zbog ubrzanog rasta kojeg doživljava danas postaje jedna od dominantnijih gospodarskih grana za brojne države uključujući Republiku Hrvatsku. Sektor turizma u RH nosi čak petinu BDP-a, te je ujedno to i sektor na koji se država najviše oslanja. Hrvatska svoj uspjeh u turizmu može prepisati geografskom položaju, te prirodnim čimbenicima na kojima se temelji turizam, a to su sunce i more. Brzina i dinamika u promjenama želja i potreba turista, razlog su nastanka raznovrsne turističke ponude i razvoja raznih oblika turizma. Hrvatska kao pretežito receptivna zemlja svoju ponudu temelji na: atrakcijama, turističkoj, smještajnoj i općoj infrastrukturi, proizvodima te ljudskim potencijalima. Sa druge strane potražnja ovisi o dolascima stranih turista, ponajviše iz obližnjih zemalja poput Njemačke, Slovenije, Austrije, Italije, pa i ostalih zemalja sa područja EU-a. Strani turisti ostvaruju oko 90% noćenja ukoliko se uzmu podaci iz prethodne četiri turističke sezone. Na samom kraju rada nalazi se prikaz podataka koji ukazuju na utjecaj turizma na BDP, zaposlenost, te njegova podložnost vanjskim utjecajima, kroz primjer pandemije COVID-19. The impact of tourism on the economy of the Republic of Croatia is the main objective of this thesis. Today, tourism is a relatively young economic sector compared to other economic sectors, but due to the rapid growth it is experiencing today, it is becoming one of the dominant economic sectors for many countries, including the Republic of Croatia. The tourism sector accounts for up to one-fifth of GDP in the Republic of Croatia and is also the sector on which the state relies the most. Croatia's success in tourism is due to its geographical location and the natural factors on which tourism is based, namely sun and sea. The speed and dynamics of changes in the desires and needs of tourists is the reason for the emergence of a diverse tourist offer and the development of various forms of tourism. Croatia, as a predominantly receptive country, bases its offer on: Attractions, tourism, accommodation and general infrastructure, products and human resources. On the other hand, demand depends on the arrival of foreign tourists, mainly from neighbouring countries such as Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Italy and other EU countries. Foreign tourists account for about 90% of overnight stays, based on data from the last four tourist seasons. At the very end of the document, data are presented showing the impact of tourism on GDP, employment and its vulnerability to external influences, using the example of the pandemic COVID -19.

Turoperatori specijalisti su našli svoje mjesto na tržištu kroz praćenje novih trendova i uspješnoj prilagodbi istih. Sve veći broj današnjih turista od pružatelja turističkih usluga očekuje inovativan i individualan pristup. Takvi turisti daju turoperatorima specijalistima mogućnost za daljnje razvijanje. Turoperatori generalisti su svjesni promjena trendova na tržištu i želja turista pa uvode nove elemente u svoje ponude. Ti elementi imaju dijelove specijalizacija i individualnog pristupa turistima. Za razliku od specijalista, generalisti ne mogu cijelu svoju ponudu bazirati na određenoj specijalizaciji. Samim prelaskom u specijalizaciju generalisti bi izgubili veliki dio kupaca jer bi sami postali specijalisti. Turističko tržište ima mjesto za generaliste i za specijaliste. Turoperator generalist udovoljava potražnji kroz povoljnije cijene, široki spektar ponude, veliku količinu kupaca, a opet nudi putovanja koja zadovoljavaju potrebu turista. Turoperatori specijalisti isto imaju svoju potražnju zbog odanih klijenata koji su voljni platiti veću cijenu za specifično putovanje visoke kvalitete. Tour operators specialists have found their place on the market by following new trends and successfully adapting them. An increasing number of today's tourists expect an innovative and individual approach from travel service providers. Such tourists give tour operators specialists the opportunity for further development. Mass market tour operators are aware of changes in market trends and the wishes of tourists, so they introduce new elements into their offers. These elements have parts of specialization and individual approach to tourists. Unlike specialists, mass market tour operators cannot base their entire offer on a specific specialization. Just by switching to specialization mass market tour operators would lose a large part of their customers because they would become specialists themselves. The tourist market has a place for mass market tour operators and specialists. The mass market tour operator meets the demand through more favorable prices, a wide range of offers, a large number of customers, and still offers trips that meet the needs of tourists. Specialist tour operators are also in demand due to loyal customers who are willing to pay a higher price for a specific high quality trip.

Turistička animacija prodaje doživljaje i stvara uspomene, a odnosi se na skup usluga kojima se zadovoljavaju potrebe i želje turista preko ponuđenih programa koji su osnova za poticanje sve veće turističke potrošnje. Veoma je bitno spomenuti animacijske timove koji su zaduženi za aktivnije, smislenije i atraktivnije načine formiranja i prezentiranja turističke ponude te u današnje vrijeme u uključivanje novih proizvoda i usluga namijenjenih sve zahtjevnijem turističkom tržištu. Menadžment kvalitete animacijskih programa ima veliki utjecaj na zadovoljstvo gostiju i opće konkuriranje na turističkom tržištu. Tourism entertainment sells experiences and creates memories and it is actually a set of services that meet the needs and desires of tourists through the entertainment programs that are increasing tourist spending. It is very important to mention tourism entertainment teams that are in charge of more active, meaningful and attractive ways of forming and presenting the whole tourism offer including new products and services intended for the increasingly demanding tourist market. The quality management of animation programs has a great impact on guest satisfaction and general competition in the tourism market.

U ovom završnom radu analiziraju se tržišta Kine, Japana i Južne Koreje, te njihov utjecaj na europsko i hrvatsko turističko tržište. Analiza rada obuhvaća općenitu analizu država Kine, Japana i Južne Koreje, broj ukupnih putovanja iz navedenih država u zadnjih pet godina, način putovanja ,njihovi motivi i dužina boravka, zatim putovanja iz navedenih zemalja u Europu, turoperatori koji dovode goste u Europu, važne aviokompanije, mjesta koja često posjećuju, također obuhvaća i turiste iz navedenih zemalja u Hrvatskoj, te kako se Hrvatska pozicionirala u zemljama Dalekog istoka. Cilj rada je također uočiti i istaknuti važnost turista iz Kine, Japana i Južne Koreje, te uočiti njihove zahtjeve i potrebe tijekom putovanja i tako pokušati na tim tržištima bolje pozicionirati Hrvatsku turističku ponudu. This final paper analyses the markets of China, Japan and South Korea, and their impact on the European and Croatian tourism markets. The analysis includes a general analysis of the countries of China, Japan and South Korea, the number of total trips from these countries in the last five years, type of travel, their motives and length of stay, then travel from these countries to Europe, touroperators bringing guests to Europe, important airlines, places they often visit, also includes tourists from these countries in Croatia, and how Croatia has positioned itself in the Far East. The aim of the paper is also to notice and emphasize the importance of tourists from China, Japan and South Korea, and to notice their requirements and needs during the trip and thus try to better position the Croatian tourist offer in these markets.

Turizam kao fenomen proizlazi iz čovjekove potrebe za putovanjem, ali nije uvijek bio namijenjen za ljude svih društvenih klasa kao što je to slučaj danas. Događaj koji ga je približio ljudima koji ne pripadaju višoj klasi društva bilo je organiziranje grupnih putovanja koje je prvi organizirao Thomas Cook koji je osnovao i istoimenu kompaniju koja se bavila tim poslom. Navedeni događaj dogodio se 1841. godine, a označio je početak jedne revolucije u putovanjima. Ova kompanija može se smatrati prvim turoperatorom koji je poslovao na svijetu. Iako u vrijeme osnivanja on radi kao turistička agencija, prvim turoperatorom ga se može smatrati jer je u njihovom poslovanju bila naglašena organizacijska funkcija. Prve turoperatore u modernom smislu veže se uz pružanje putovanja koja su za prijevozno sredstvo nudila zrakoplov. Thomas Cook i njegov sin bili su ti koji su uspješno vodili ovu tvrtku i svojedobno stvarali nove trendove. Nakon što su 1928. godine prodali kompaniju svom belgijskom partneru Compagnie Generale des Wagons-Lits kompanija započinje razdoblje stagnacije koje traje sve do 1950.-ih godina. U tom periodu stagnacije tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata Thomas Cook je nacionaliziran i stavljen pod nadzor Transport holdingsa, britanske željezničke kompanije. Kasnije, razvojem zrakoplovnog prijevoza u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća uvodi se pojam turoperator. To je vrijeme kada se na Mediteranu grade mnoga velika turistička naselja i koja su bila posjećena od velikog broja europskih turista. U to vrijeme Thomas Cook je privatiziran i prelazi u vlasništvo Midlandske banke koja je značajno proširila i unaprijedila poslovanje Thomas Cooka. Mnogi turoperatori i danas posluju na sličan način kao i u vrijeme njihovog razvoja, dok su neki ipak značajno proširili i modernizirali svoje poslovanje. U posljednjih 10 godina turizam, kao i društvo u cjelini, se mijenja i nameće neke nove trendove. Na turističkom tržištu smanjuje se udio za turoperatore, a sve više ljudi putuje samostalno. To im je omogućio razvoj informacijskih tehnologija i razvoj platformi koje pojednostavljuju organiziranje putovanja. Takve promjene su uz loše poslovne odluke rezultirale kolapsom najstarije kompanije koja se bavila organiziranim putovanjima- Thomas Cooka, a što će biti s ostalima tek ostaje za vidjeti. Jedno je sigurno svijet i turizam se mijenjaju, a ako žele i dalje poslovati i turoperatori će morati mijenjati način poslovanja. Tourism as a phenomenon stems from man’s need to travel, but it has not always been intended for people of all social classes as is the case today. The event that brought him closer to people who do not belong to the upper class of society was the organization of group trips, which was first organized by Thomas Cook, who also founded the company of the same name that dealt with this business. The mentioned event happened in 1841, and it marked the beginning of a revolution in travel. This company can be considered the first tour operator to do business in the world. Although at the time of its establishment it worked as a tourist agency, it can be considered the first tour operator because its organizational function was emphasized in their business. The first tour operators in the modern sense were associated with the provision of travel that offered aircraft as a means of transportation. Thomas Cook and his son were the ones who successfully ran this company and created new trends at one time. After selling the company to its Belgian partner Compagnie Generale des Wagons-Lits in 1928, the company began a period of stagnation that lasted until the 1950s. During this period of stagnation during World War II, Thomas Cook was nationalized and placed under the control of Transport Holdings, a British railway company. Later, with the development of air transport in the second half of the 20th century, the term tour operator was introduced. This is the time when many large tourist resorts are being built in the Mediterranean and which have been visited by a large number of European tourists. At the time, Thomas Cook was privatized and became the property of the Bank of Midland, which significantly expanded and improved Thomas Cook's business. Many tour operators still operate in a similar way as at the time of their development, while some have significantly expanded and modernized their business. In the last 10 years, tourism, as well as society as a whole, has changed and imposed some new trends. The share of tour operators in the tourism market is declining, and more and more people are traveling on their own. This has enabled them to develop information technologies and develop platforms that simplify travel arrangements. Such changes, along with bad business decisions, resulted in the collapse of the oldest company that dealt with organized travel - Thomas Cook, and what will happen to the others remains to be seen. One thing is for sure, the world and tourism are changing, and if they want to continue doing business, tour operators will have to change the way they do business.

Veoma je bitno spomenuti animacijske timove koji su zaduženi za aktivnije, smislenije i atraktivnije načine formiranja i prezentiranja turističke ponude te u današnje vrijeme u uključivanje novih proizvoda i usluga namijenjenih sve zahtjevnijem turističkom tržištu. Animacija djece bitan je segment cjelokupne turističke ponude jer su djeca jedan od ključnih faktora u odabiru destinacije. Children animation is and important segment of the overall tourist offer because children are one of the crucial factor in choosing a destination for vacation.

Analiza trendova u turizmu daje bitne informacije o kretanjima na turističkom tržištu, prilagođavanjem ponude potražnji i na njihove posljedice. Promjene na turističkom tržištu događaju se svakodnevno ali je trendove razvoja moguće identificirati tek nakon proteka određeno vremena. Informatizacija i tehnološki napredak u 21. stoljeću također dovodi do veće globalizacije turističkog tržišta, a samim time i boljem razvoju dinamičnih poslovnih aktivnosti. Revolucionarni razvoj interneta omogućuje turistima da veoma brzo dođu do svih potrebnih informacija, uspoređujući ih paralelno iz različitih izvora, sastavljajući svoj optimalni turistički proizvod te nakon odabira, omogućava kupnju turističkog aranžmana. Globalizacija je zasigurno naj prepoznatljiv opći trend koji obilježava razvoj turizma u posljednjih 20-ak godina i koji utječe na sve destinacije u svijetu. Turistički sektor stalno mijenja svoje turističke proizvode i usluge uslijed izazova turističkog tržišta. Navedeni trendovi, ali i oni koji nas očekuju ovisit će o promjenama ljudskih navika i razvoju tehnologije koje će preoblikovati globalnu ekonomiju i budućnost turizma. Trends' analysis in tourism provides important information about the actions in the tourism market, adjusting supply to demand and their consequences. Changes in the tourism market occur every day but trends of development can only be identified after a certain period. Informatization and technological advances in the 21st century also lead to a greater globalization of the tourism market, and thus a better development of dynamic business activities. Revolutionary Internet development enables tourists to quickly access all the information they require by parallel comparing information from different sources, compiling their optimal tourism product and, after selection, enables the purchase of a travel arrangement. Globalization is surely the most recognizable general trend that marks the development of tourism in the last 20 years and which affects all destinations in the world. The tourism sector constantly changes its tourism products and services as a result of the challenges of the tourism market. These trends, but also those expected, will depend on changes in human habits and the development of technology that will transform the global economy and the future of tourism.

Turističke agencije svojim djelovanjem na turističkom tržištu imaju značajnu ulogu u razvoju atrakcija. One u svom poslovanju mogu doprinijeti razvoju atrakcija na mnogo načina. Pružaju informacije o atrakcijama široj skupini ljudi, zadužene su za promociju i distribuciju, kao i za posredovanje raznih dopunskih sadržaja vezanih za atrakcije čime nadopunjavaju njenu turističku vrijednost. Turistička atrakcija predstavlja središnji dio turističkog proizvoda za koju vrijede određeni elementi poput životnog ciklusa. Životni ciklus atrakcija se sastoji od nekoliko faza među kojima se u svaku pojedinu može uključiti djelovanje turističke agencije kao čimbenika koji djeluje na njenom razvojnom putu. U fazi prepoznavanja atrakcije turistička agencija djeluje kao potpora u pružanju potrebnih informacija, u fazi rasta promovira i organizira turističke aranžmane, te u pretposljednjoj i posljednjoj fazi stagniranja ili propadanja djeluje kao njen zaštitnik ograničavajući broj putnika i putovanja te sprječavajući degradaciju. Glavna zadaća turističkih agencija današnjice je u praćenju turističkih trendova i inovativnim pristupima prema posjetiteljima u svrhu održivog razvoja atrakcija i zadovoljenja njihovih potreba. Tourist agencies and their role in tourist market play a key role in attractions development. In their work activity they can contribute in attractions development in many ways. They can give proper information about attractions to a wider group of people, they are responsible for their promotion and distribution and also for the intermediation of supplemental content of attractions in which they complement tourist value of attractions. Tourist attraction is a central part of tourist product for which they are valid specific elements like life circle. The life circle of attractions contents several phases and each phase can include tourist agency activity as stakeholder in their development. For example, in introduction stage, tourist agency acts mostly as support in giving the right information about attraction, in growth phase it promote and organize tourist arrangements, and in penultimate and ultimate phase which are including maturity and decline stage it can act as the savior because it activity can reduce the number of visitors and travels and prevent decline of attractions. Main goals of tourist agencies today are in following the trends of tourism and innovative approach on the visitors, all in purpose of tourist attraction sustainability and satisfying their needs.

Promatrajući turizam kao skup svih djelatnosti gospodarstva na koje utječe turistička potražnja, ovaj završni rad ima za svrhu procijeniti ukupan izravan i neizravan doprinos turizma na nacionalno gospodarstvo. Ekonomske utjecaje turizma najlakše je podijeliti na pozitivne i negativne, odnosno podijeliti ih onako kako utječu na razvoj gospodarstva. Najvažniji pozitivni ekonomski utjecaji turizma su rast bruto domaćeg proizvoda, rast direktne i indirektne zaposlenosti, turistička potrošnja i rast kapitalnih investicija. Negativni ekonomski utjecaji su sezonalnost, rast cijene nekretnina, rast cijene proizvoda i usluga te niska stopa povrata od kapitalnih investicija. Važno je biti svjestan negativnih posljedica turizma i dobrim ekonomskim politikama minimizirati negativne posljedice a maksimizirati pozitivne strane turizma. Considering tourism as a set of demand driven economic activities which are determined by tourism demand, the purpose of this final work is to assess the total, direct and indirect, contribution of tourism to the national economy. The economic impacts of tourism is the easiest to divide on positive and negative, or as they affect on the economy. The most important positive economic impacts of tourism are growth of GDP, direct and indirect employment, tourist consumption and capital investment. Negative economic impacts are seasonality, real estate price growth, the growth in prices of products and services and low return on capital investment. It is important to be aware of negatve economic impacts of tourism and with good economic policies minimize the negative consequences and maximize the positive sides of tourism.

U suvremenom turizmu za donošenje poslovnih odluka važno je napraviti poslovni plan koji je dugoročno održiv. Kvalitetan poslovni plan proizlazi iz analize tržišta na kojem se organizacija nalazi. Stoga se istraživanje turističkog tržišta smatra temeljem za održivo poslovanje turističkih organizacija. Uzevši u obzir specifičnost turizma kao interdisciplinirane grane gospodarstva istraživanje turističkog tržišta razlikuje se od uobičajenog istraživanja tržišta. Istraživanje se vrši unaprijed predviđenim logičkim radnjama kako bi dobili što vjerniju analizu tržišta. Turizam je spoj proizvoda i usluga kojima se želi postići zadovoljstvo gosta. Istraživanje turističkog tržišta se provodi na dva područja. Kvantitativna turistička istraživanja istražuju elemente koji se mogu brojčano iskazati dok kvalitativna istraživanja istražuju kvalitetu usluge, motive i zadovoljstvo ispitanika. Kvalitativna istraživanja zahtijevaju blisku suradnju s ispitanicima te njihovo subjektivno mišljenje o predmetu istraživanja. U suvremenim istraživanjima koriste se psihološke metode kako bi istraživanje dalo što realnije rezultate. Istraživanje zahtjeva profesionalne i obrazovane ispitivače koji uz psihološke metode mogu otkriti istinski doživljaj turističkog proizvoda. Kod istraživanja kvalitete brojne organizacije istražuju ponašanje svojih zaposlenika. Metodom „tajni kupac“ provjerava se poštuju li zaposlenici određene procedure i pravila kako bi održali kvalitetu organizacije u kojoj su zaposleni. Istraživanja se mogu vršiti na globalnoj razini od strane organizacija kao na primjer UNWTO-a, na razini države, npr. Institut za turizam te na razini same turističke organizacije. U ovom radu istražene su metode istraživanja te su dani primjeri istraživanja u praksi na globalnoj, državnoj te razini organizacije. In the modern tourism for making decision it is important to make a business plan that is sustainable long term. A quality business plan stems from an analysis of the market in which the organization is based. Therefore, the research of the tourism market is considered the basis for sustainable business travel organization. Given the specificity of tourism as an interdisciplinary branch of the economy tourism market research differs from traditional market research. The research is provided whit logical operations in order to get an accurate analysis of the market. Tourism is a compound of products and services which we want to achieve customer satisfaction. Tourism market research is carried out in two areas. Quantitative tourism research investigating the elements that can be numerically expressed while qualitative research investigating the quality of service, motivation and satisfaction of patients. Qualitative research requires close cooperation with the respondents and their subjective opinion on the subject of research. In contemporary research are used psychological methods to gave more realistic results. Research requires professional and educated examiners who with psychological methods can detect a true experience of the tourism product. In research quality of a number of organizations are investigating the behavior of their employees. Method 'mystery shopper' checks the compliance of the employees of certain procedures and rules in order to maintain the quality of the organization in which they are employed. Research can be made globally by organizations such as UNWTO, on the national level for example: institute for tourism and at the tourism organizations. In this study the research methods and are given examples of research into practice on a global, national and organizational level.

Tema diplomskog rada je „Ekonomski i poduzetnički aspekti wellness turizma“ čime će se objasniti turizam usmjeren na ekonomiju i poduzetništvo općenito i ekonomija i poduzetništvo u wellness turizmu. U dijelu „Turizam kao ekonomska kategorija“ objašnjava se što ekonomija predstavlja u turizmu, te se nastoji objasniti kojoj gospodarskoj djelatnosti pripada turizam. U drugom dijelu govori se o turističkom wellness tržištu, o ponudi i potražnji, obilježima, potrošnji na turističkom tržištu i potrošnji u wellnessu, te trendovima kao ključnim faktorima koji održavaju wellness tržište jednom od najmoćnijih tržišta u globalnoj ekonomiji. Objašnjava se međuzavisnost ekonomije i poduzetništva u turizmu nastojeći istaknuti rizike i oblike turističkog poduzetništva i načine pokretanja poduzetničkog projekta. Posebno se navodi wellness poduzetništvo i primjeri poslovnih ideja u tom sektoru. Sve je to opisano u trećem dijelu. Vrlo bitan i nimalo zanemariv, „Holistički pristup u wellnessu“, pretposljedni je dio rada i ujedno uvod u posljednji dio, a to je istraživanje. Istraživanje je segment rada koji se sastoji od ispunjavanja anketnog upitnika na temu „Holistički centar“ i opisivanja rezultata dobivenih na temelju sto ispitanika. Ovim istraživanjem dobiva se mala predodžba o važnosti i informiranosti stanovnika o holističkom pristupu u Međimurskoj županiji. The subject of thesis is "The economic and entrepreneurial aspects of wellness tourism" which will explain tourism focused on the economy and entrepreneurship in general and economics and entrepreneurship in wellness tourism. „Tourism as an economic category“ is the part that explains what is economic representation in tourism and also try to explain whom economic activity it belongs. The second part deals with tourism wellness market, with supply and demand, consumption in the wellness market and trends as well, as key factors that maintain the wellness market is one of the most powerful market in the global economy. It explains interdependence of economics and entrepreneurship in tourism, endeavoring to highlight the risks and forms of tourism entrepreneurship and ways of starting an entrepreneurial project. Wellness entrepreneurship and examples of business ideas in the sector is specifically mentioned and all this is described in the third part. Very important and not at all negligible, "A holistic approach to wellness" is the penultimate section of thesis and also the introduction to the final part, respectively research. The research is a work segment which is consisting of fulfilling the questionnaire on "Holistic Center" and describing the results obtained on the basis of hundreds of respondents. This study gives a slight idea of the importance and awareness of people about the holistic approach in Međimurje County.
