The article discusses a study which compared clinical improvement of canine hip dysplasia as observed by dog owners. Clinical examination to objective gait analysis was performed to evaluate the efficacy of different procedures used to alleviate pain and ambulatory discomfort in mature dogs suffering from hip joint dysplasia and arthrosis. A comparison of pre-operative and post-operative data showed canine hip denervation as an effective method to treat pain and lameness without any major complication. The study also showed that denervation of the hip joint capsule remains a therapy of choice among veterinarians to manage hip dysplasia when it comes to improvement in hip mobilization and decrease of pain and lameness.

The article presents a study which evaluates the effectiveness on bandages in limiting carpus range of motion (ROM) in dogs. It states that electrogoniometry (EG) and radiography were used to study the dogs carpus range of motion at a walk. Results show that EG is more accurate in measuring ROM than radiographs.

The article presents the study "Sensitivity and specificity to determine lameness in dogs with a pressure walkway system." The study aims to evaluate performance for the detection of a lame limb and to offer clinicians with a quantitative instrument to gait analysis designed for routine application. It concludes that a pressure walkaway system offers quick outcome through a non-invasive procedure without anesthesia.
