The article features Konstantin Nikolaevich Leontiev, a Russian thinker, writer and diplomat who received a memorial plaque at the former Russian Empire Embassy on June 1, 2006. He was born in Kudinovo, the Kaluga Gubernia on January 13, 1831. He graduated from the medical department of Moscow State University and voluntarily entered military service as a physician during the 1854-1856 Crimean War. He loved the profession of diplomat and the diplomatic service.
