The Weining Beishan area of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is located at on the western edge of the Helanshan tectonic belt, which is a tectonic joint among Alxa Block, Ordos Block, and North Qilian orogenic belt. However, the tectonic evolution of this area remains unclear due to the lack of magmatic information. This paper conducted researches on geochronology, geochemistry, and Sr-Nd-Hf isotopes of the diorite porphyrites exposed in the Weining Beishan area. The zircon U-Pb dating yields two ages of 145.0 ± 1.1 and 146.2 ± 1.5 Ma, and the whole-rock geochemical data indicate that the diorite porphyrites are metaluminous to weakly peraluminous and high-K calc-alkaline series. The characteristics of highly initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios (0.708 16 to 0.710 47), negative εNd(t) (−8.9 to −8.4), and negative εHf(t) (−13.8 to −21.2) indicate that the diorite porphyrites originated from partial melting of the middle-lower ancient crust related to the North China Craton. Combined with the regional geology, we suggested that partial melting was triggered by a tectonic activity of deep faults cutting through the crust under the regional stress transformation from compressing to extension during the Late Jurassic–Early Cretaceous, which is probably related to the westward subduction of the Paleo-Pacific Plate. A tectonic switch from subduction to collision and/or arc–arc collision is a key issue for understanding accretionary orogenic processes. We present new U-Pb ages, geochemistry, whole-rock Nd and zircon Hf isotope data for a suite of late Carboniferous intrusive rocks along the Kalamaili suture zone of the southwestern Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB) and demonstrate their petrogenesis and the transition of their tectonic settings. Zircon U-Pb dating for the gabbros, diorites, granodiorites, and monzogranites yields ages of 317–301 Ma. The gabbros (311 Ma) were likely derived from partial melting of a mixed source of depleted MORB-like asthenospheric mantle with minor old crustal material; the diorites (301 Ma) from the mixed depleted lithospheric mantle and crustal components; the granodiorites (303 Ma) from the mixed mantle- and crust-derived magmas; and the monzogranites (317 Ma) from melting of the newly underplated basaltic lower crust. Combined with previous data, we have grouped all the intrusive rocks along the Kalamaili suture zone into three phases: 350–340 Ma, 330–320 Ma, and 320–300 Ma. The first phase consists of tholeiitic and high-K calc-alkaline granites, the second phase is composed of high-K calc-alkaline I-type granites with strong deformation, and the third phase comprises voluminous and various rock types (mainly mafic and felsic, including many A-type granites), revealing a magmatic flare-up. The magmatic associations and evolution from the first to the third phase, together with regional geology, suggest a tectonic transition from subduction/accretion (350–340 Ma) through syn-collision (330–320 Ma) to post-collision (or post-accretionary, 320–300 Ma), respectively. The tectonic transition from oceanic subduction to continental collision is a fundamental process during orogenesis, yet the nature of such transition and associated deep geodynamic processes for the Tibetan Plateau are still controversial. The long‐lived magmatism of the Gangdese Belt of southern Tibet provides an excellent opportunity to study the tectonic transition from subduction of the Neo‐Tethys oceanic lithosphere to the continental collision between Indian and Asian plates. We present zircon U–Pb–Hf isotopes, whole‐rock geochemistry, and Sr–Nd isotopes for the intrusions from Maizhokunggar, southern Lhasa Terrane. The zircon U–Pb dating indicates that two episodes of magmatism occurred in the Maizhokunggar region, ca. 70 Ma diorites and ca. 60 Ma granitoids. The ca. 70 Ma diorites are medium‐K calc‐alkaline and characterized by pronounced high‐field‐strength element depletion and light rare earth element enrichment, similar to arc‐type rocks. They have homogeneous (87Sr/86Sr)i ratios (0.70378–0.70424) and εNd(t) values (+2.6 to +3.4), and εHf(t) (+5.9 to +13.0) with relatively young depleted mantle model ages (307–762 Ma), suggesting that they were generated from the juvenile mafic lower crust induced by the underplating of basaltic magmas from depleted mantle wedge. The ca. 60 Ma granitoids, Kajiacun (KJC) granodiorites, and Qulongxue (QLX) and Bangdacun (BDC) monzogranites are high‐K series and metaluminous to weakly peraluminous. The KJC granodiorites with high Sr/Y ratios (25–43) are adakitic and were likely derived from partial melting of a thickened lower crust. The BDC monzogranites have more evolved Sr–Nd–Hf isotopes and older Nd–Hf model ages than the QLX monzogranites. These geochemical variations were mainly controlled by the fractionation crystallization with assimilation of ancient crustal materials. We propose that at ca. 70 Ma, the subduction of the Neo‐Tethys oceanic slab triggered the partial melting of the juvenile lower crust and formed the diorites with arc affinity, and then the initial collision (>60 Ma) between the Indian and Asian plates caused locally thickened lower crust, resulting in adakitic granodiorites. Our study sheds light on the lithospheric scale magma evolution from the deep mantle to the shallow crust during the critical geodynamic transition to collision, and early uplift. The subduction of the Proto-Tethyan Ocean is still a controversial subject. Here we report zircon U-Pb ages, geochemistry, and Hf isotopic compositions of the zircon in the Mengkete quartz diorite in the Buqingshan–A'nyemaqen Tectonic Mélange Belt, which lies at the southern margin of the East Kunlun orogenic belt on the northern Tibetan Plateau, to constrain the petrogenesis of subduction-related granitoids and to reconstruct the evolution of the Buqingshan–A'nyemaqen Ocean. Zircons U-Pb dating yields coeval ages of 441–436 Ma for Mengkete quartz diorite. Mengkete plutons have variable SiO2 (56.63–65.22%) and high Al2O3 (16.09–17.79%) contents and aluminous saturation indexes (A/CNK ratios) ranging from 0.77 to 0.96, which define their metaluminous and medium-K2O calc-alkaline signatures. The plutons have a low total rare-earth element (REE) content (45.49–168.31 ppm) and slightly positive Eu anomalies (Eu/Eu* in the range of 0.96 to 1.32). They are also enriched in large-ion lithophile elements (LILEs), such as Rb, Th, and Ba, but are depleted in high-field-strength elements (HFSEs), such as Nb, Ta, Zr, Hf, and Ti. Their zircon εHf(t) values ranging from 7.79 to 13.02, and the two-stage Hf (TDM2) model ages are in the range of 1130–657 Ma. These geochemical signatures indicate that the Mengkete quartz diorite was derived from partial melting of the mafic Meso-Neoproterozoic lower crust during the northward subduction of the Proto-Tethyan Ocean. The evolution of the East Kunlun Belt can be divided into five stages from the Neoproterozoic to late Middle Triassic: (1) an opend Buqingshan‒A'nyemaqen ocean during the Neoproterozoic up to 516Ma; (2) the continuous expansion of the Buqingshan‒A'nyemaqen ocean during the period 516 to 441Ma, along with the beginning of northward subduction in the Late Cambrian; (3) further subduction from 441 to 400Ma, accompanied by the production of large volumes of arc magmatic rocks; (4) the long period during which the Buqinshan–A'nyemaqen Ocean existed (400–240 Ma); and (5) the final closure of the Buqinshan–A'nyemaqen Ocean in the late Middle Triassic. The timing of the Lhasa–Qiangtang collision following the closure of the Bangong–Nujiang Tethys Ocean has not been well constrained. An integrated study of whole-rock geochemistry and zircon U–Pb–Hf isotopes was carried out for Early Cretaceous quartz diorite-porphyrites and granites from the Yilashan and Amdo areas, northern Tibet. LA–ICP–MS zircon U–Pb dating reveal that the Yilashan and Amdo granitoids were emplaced at ~121–110 Ma. These granitic rocks display selective enrichment of light rare earth elements, large ion lithophile elements (e.g., Rb, U) and Th, but depletion of Sr and high field strength elements (e.g., Nb, Ta, Ti) compared to its neighboring elements. These new data, combined with regional geological setting, show that these igneous rocks were formed under a geodynamic setting of the Lhasa and Qiangtang (–Amdo) collision with oceanic slab breakoff and asthenospheric upwelling. The BNTO had been closed at ~121–110 Ma in the study area. Yilashan-Amdo granitoids roughly yield high (87Sr/86Sr)i ratios and obvious negative εNd(t) and zircon εHf(t) values along with old Nd TDM and zircon Hf TDM2 ages. Together with their variable U–Pb ages, these features indicate a Precambrian "hidden" crustal source beneath the northern Lhasa and Amdo terranes. The YLSS S-type granophyres were derived from partial melting of Paleoproterozoic lower crustal metagraywackes, whereas the YLSZ quartz diorite–porphyrites and the Amdo I- and A-type granites were mainly derived from partial melting of Paleo–Mesoproterozoic lower crustal mafic rocks with a certain amount of addition of mantle-derived melts. Minor amounts of the materials originated from the Amdo orthogneisses may also be involved in the formation of the YLSZ quartz diorite–porphyrites and the Amdo I-type granites. In addition, the Yilashan ophiolite was intruded by the ~112–108 Ma granophyric and quartz diorite–porphyritic intrusions before its final emplacement into the surrounding strata. The East Kunlun Orogenic Belt (E‐KOB) of the northern Tibetan Plateau is an accretionary orogenic belt, which has experienced complicated tectonic evolutionary processes of the Proto‐ to Palaeo‐Tethys Ocean. The Muztagh‐Buqingshan‐Anemaqen ophiolitic mélange zone (MBAM) is an accretionary complex related to the northward subduction of the Tethyan Ocean. Numerous intrusions outcropped in MBAM have witnessed the long‐term subduction‐accretionary process and thus site the key to comprehending the tectonic evolution of the E‐KOB, as well as the Tethyan Ocean. In this study, petrological, geochronological, and geochemical studies of the Marzheng diorites in the MBAM were carried out to explore the Early Palaeozoic tectonic evolution of the E‐KOB. Zircon U–Pb dating analysis suggests that the diorites were formed in the Early Ordovician at ca. 470 Ma. Furthermore, the εHf(t) values (5.3–14.1), Mg# values (39.7–51.2), and Nb/Ta (12.8–14.8), Zr/Hf (33.8–44.8), and Lu/Yb (0.15–0.16) ratios are generally close to those of depleted mantle‐derived rocks and the diorites were originated from a depleted asthenosphere mantle source. In addition, these diorites are characterized by enriched light rare earth elements (LREEs) (La and Nd) and depleted high‐field‐strength elements (HFSEs) (Nb, Ta, P, and Ti), similar to the fingerprints of arc‐related gabbroic‐dioritic rocks. This is also consistent with their high H2Omelt (6.0–8.3%) and oxygen fugacity (logfO2 = −14.3 to −13.5) features, indicating that they were formed in a subduction‐related setting. When the Neo-Tethys subduction initiated has been a subject of debate, perhaps due to the lack of reliable evidence. This paper reports geochronological, geochemical, and Hf isotopic data for recently identified gabbro as well as diorite exposed in the Chanv area of the Gangdese in the southernmost margin of the western Lhasa block, western China. Zircon U–Pb dating indicates the Chanv magmatic rocks formed in two stages: latest Permian (gabbro, 254.8 ± 1.5 Ma) and Late Triassic (gabbro, 214.2 ± 2.0 Ma; diorite, 202.8 ± 1.1 Ma). Geochemical and Hf isotopic analyses reveal that the Chanv magmatic rocks of both stages have contrasting characters. The latest Permian gabbro has apparently higher TiO2 concentrations (> 3 wt.%) than the Late Triassic gabbro (0.86–1.24 wt.%). Although they all are enriched in light rare-earth elements (LREEs), the latest Permian gabbro displays no depletions in Nb and Ta, while the Late Triassic gabbro and diorite are apparently depleted in these two elements. In addition, the zircons from the latest Permian gabbro are all characterized by positive εHf(t) values whereas those from the Late Triassic gabbro dominantly by negative εHf(t) values. Conventional plots using multi-elements or elemental ratios all indicate the latest Permian gabbro has inherent resemblance to intraplate oceanic-island basalt (OIB) whereas the Late Triassic gabbro and diorite are of distinct arc affinity. Therefore, The Chanv latest Permian–Late Triassic magmatic rocks testify a switch of the tectonic environment in the southernmost Eurasian margin from latest Permian post-break-up to Late Triassic arc-related setting and thus constrain the initiation of the Neo-Tethys subduction between 255 Ma and 214 Ma. The Yinshan Block constitutes the northwestern segment of the North China Craton. We characterized the geochemistry, zircon U–Pb geochronology, and Hf isotopic composition of a diorite pluton in the Yinshan Block. The zircon U–Pb data yield a protolith formation age of 2535 ± 8 Ma (MSWD = 0.46), followed by recrystallization at 2465 ± 14 Ma or 2431 ± 30 Ma; the granite vein which intruded into the diorite pluton gives a formation age of 2453 ± 5 Ma (MSWD = 1.6), according with the recrystallization age of the diorite. These diorites are characterized by moderate Mg# value and MgO, Cr, and Ni content and have relatively low Sr/Y and (La/Yb)N ratios and slightly Eu anomalies and are enriched in LILEs and depletion in high field strength elements. High‐Sr + Ba granites with low K2O/Na2O characteristics are also shown by these diorites, and the εHf(t) of zircons lie between +1.3 and −7.2, imply these diorites are most likely derived from partial melting of a thickened lower crust with minor involvement of enriched mantle. These geochemical and isotopic characteristics suggest the diorite magmas derived from an accreted arc‐related rocks remelting in a low‐pressure environment along the continent margin. The Saveh magmatic complex is a composite intrusion of diorite to tonalite. It is part of the Urumieh-Dokhtar magmatic arc in central Iran. Zircon U Pb dating indicates that emplacement and cooling occurred 37–40 Ma ago in late Eocene (Bartonian) time. Saveh igneous rocks define a continuous mafic-felsic continuum in terms of SiO 2 (55.4–70.8 wt%), Al 2 O 3 (14.2–19.8 wt%) and CaO (6.4–17.1 wt%) contents. The initial values of 87 Sr/ 86 Sr and ɛ Nd (t) are 0.7048 to 0.7062 and + 2.6 to +3.4 (Mean = +2.9). Nd model ages (T DM  = 555 to 616 Ma) are consistent with derivation from Iranian continental crust and subcontinental lithospheric mantle of Cadomian age (500–600 Ma). Saveh igneous rocks are enriched in K, Cs and Pb and depleted in P, Nb and Ta, indicating that the magma source was moderately affected by slab-derived fluids, as expected for the Eocene tectonic environment. The continuum of rock types from diorite to graphic eutectic tonalite indicates that magmatic evolution was controlled by the F (FeO + MgO + MnO)-Anorthite (An)-Orthoclase (Or) cotectic with minor contamination by supra-crustal components. Similar initial ratios of 87 Sr/ 86 Sr and 143 Nd/ 144 Nd for all of the rocks and the slightly younger age of tonalitic rocks (2–3 Ma younger) further indicate that the crystallization of quartz and plagioclase with graphic texture occurred in the final stage of magmatic differentiation. • The granodiorites and monzonitic diorites were originated from slab melts and slab melts-metasomatized mantle source, respectively. • The alkali feldspar granites were produced by partial melting of a crustal source in an extension background. • The gabrros were generated by partial melting of mantle wedge metasomatized by slab-derived fluids. • A slab window was likely happened at 2.46–2.44 Ga in the south margin of the Yinshan Block. The earliest Paleoproterozoic magmatic rocks have recorded the transition from the Neoarchean cratonization of the NCC to its post-Archean tectonic evolution, which will provide insight into the onset of the modern-style subduction. This study focuses on the early Paleoproterozoic granodiorite, monzonitic diorite, alkali feldspar granite and gabbro in the Guyang area to decipher the early Paleoproterozoic tectonic evolution of the Yinshan Block. Zircon U–Pb dating indicates that these rocks were emplaced at ca 2.46 – 2.41 Ga. The ∼ 2.46 Ga granodiorite samples have high Sr contents, low Y and Yb contents with high Sr/Y ratios, similar to the characteristics of adakitic rocks. Based on their high Mg# values, Na 2 O/K 2 O ratios, Cr, Co and Ni concentrations, and positive ε Nd (t) values, we propose that the granodiorite was likely produced by partial melting of subducting oceanic slab. The contemporary monzonitic diorite samples are characterized by high Nb concentration, which are similar to those of Nb-enriched basalt/andesite. The monzonitic diorite samples are characterized by LREE-enriched patterns with negative Eu anomalies and have negative ε Nd (t) values (-0.4 – −1.4), which suggest that they were derived from partial melting of fertile mantle peridotite metasomatized by adakitic melts. The ∼ 2.44 Ga alkali feldspar granite samples have negative ε Nd (t) values (-4.0 – −1.9) and show geochemical characteristics of A-type granites, indicating an extension background. The distinct geochemical characteristics of ca. 2.46 – 2.44 Ga Guyang adakatic granodiorite, Nb-enriched monzonic diorite and A-type alkali feldspar granite suggest that a slab window was opened in the southern margin of the Yinshan Block. The gabbros were emplaced at ∼ 2.41 Ga revealed by U-Pb dating. The enriched LREEs and relatively flat HREEs patterns with negative Nb-Ta anomalies of gabbros indicate a subducting tectonic setting. Their high Ba/Th and low Nb/Y ratios imply that the mantle source was metasomatized by slab-derived fluids. This special rock association not only constrains the tectonic evolution in the southern margin of the Yinshan Block, but also indicates modern-style subduction operated already in the early Paleoproterozoic. We report zircon U–Pb age data, Hf isotopes, and bulk-rock geochemical data for the Middle to Late Triassic granitoids in the Taerqi-Chabaqi-Kutihe region within the Xing’an Block of the central Great Xing’an Range, northeast China. Euhedral to subhedral zircon grains were extracted from the nine representative granitoids. These zircons exhibit oscillatory zoning typical of a magmatic origin. The zircon U–Pb determinations on the monzogranite, syenogranite and quartz diorite samples yielded ages between 244 Ma and 206 Ma, which essentially suggests that the magmatism in the Xing’an Block occurred during the Middle to Late Triassic period. Geochemically, these granitoids have SiO 2 = 62.97–76.31 wt%, A/CNK = 1.03–1.51, and K 2 O/Na 2 O = 0.40–2.39, we infer that they belong to high-K calc-alkaline series and are peraluminous I-type granites in nature. The major and trace element systematics indicate that these granitoids have different origins. Among them, the 244 Ma syenogranite of Taerqi and the 230–206 Ma monzogranite and syenogranite of Kutihe were probably generated from partial melting of pre-existing juvenile arc-type rocks in a relatively shallow crustal level. The 210 Ma quartz diorite of Chabaqi likely originated from the hybridization between a depleted mantle component and the juvenile subducted oceanic crustal materials that were buried to depths of the middle to lower continental crust. The 212 Ma monzogranite and syenogranite of Kutihe were probably generated from the partial melting of miscellaneous lower crustal materials at high pressure conditions. By combining these new data with regional geological data, we conclude that the early Mesozoic evolution of the central Great Xing’an Range was governed by two superimposed tectonic regimes, i.e., (1) post-orogenic extension due to slab break-off after the closure of the Paleo-Asian oceanic basin along the Hegenshan-Heihe suture belt, and (2) back-arc extension associated with the southward subduction of Mongol-Okhotsk oceanic plate. Dioritic--trondhjemitic gneisses of Neoarchean age are widely distributed throughout the Gualanyu--Shangying area in Eastern Hebei, North China Craton. These orthogneisses consist of dioritic, trondhjemitic, and quartz-rich trondhjemitic gneisses, which were subjected to amphibolite- to granulite-facies metamorphism. LA-ICP-MS zircon U--Pb isotopic dating reveals that the magmatic precursors of these rocks were contemporaneously emplaced from 2535 ± 23 to 2513 ± 8 Ma, reflecting an important Neoarchean dioritic--trondhjemitic magmatic event followed by sequential Proterozoic tectonothermal events between 2472 ± 60 and 2307 ± 50 Ma. Dioritic and trondhjemitic gneisses exhibit similar zircon ɛHf(t) values of +1.5 to +5.2 and +2.9 to +5.3, respectively, indicating their depleted mantle affinity. Geochemical analysis reveals that the dioritic gneisses have low SiO2 contents (55.4-63.0%), various MgO contents (2.07-4.78%) and Mg# (36.07-63.56), and high (La/Yb)N ratios (5.45-15.19). In contrast, the trondhjemitic gneisses exhibit higher SiO2 contents (67.4-73.8%) and (La/Yb)N ratios (12.86-76.73), and lower MgO contents (0.66-2.67%), although their Mg# (36.29-61.41) are similar to those of dioritic gneisses. These geochemical and zircon Lu--Hf isotopic features, together with geochemical modeling, suggest that the dioritic magmas were derived mainly from the partial melting of a depleted mantle wedge that was metasomatized by slab-derived melts or fluids, and that the trondhjemitic magmas were formed by fractional crystallization of the dioritic magmas. Quartz-rich trondhjemitic gneisses exhibit extremely high SiO2 contents (77.4-84.6%) with zircon ɛHf(t) values ranging from -3.4 to +4.1, suggesting that their precursors formed after the partial melting of a mixed magmatic source. It is suggested that the precursors comprised a mafic member derived from a mantle wedge altered by oceanic slab melts or fluids, and a felsic member derived from the partial melting of ancient crustal material. These new data, combined with previous studies of contemporaneous metavolcanic rocks in Gualanyu-Shangying area and surrounding areas, suggest that the magmatic precursors of these Neoarchean dioritic--trondhjemitic gneisses formed in a subduction-related tectonic environment at an E-W strike convergent plate margin. Furthermore, the Eastern Block of the North China Craton had a major lateral accretion of crustal growth in the north margin in the Neoarchean, whereas vertical crustal growth and recycling under plume tectonic backgrounds occurred in the interior of the Eastern Block. This study presents zircon U–Pb ages and whole-rock geochemistry of newly identified high-Mg andesitic and dioritic rocks (HMAs and HMDs) within the Hongshanliang copper district in the Aqishan-Yamansu belt, Eastern Tianshan to investigate their petrogenesis and constrain the Carboniferous tectonic setting of the Eastern Tianshan. Zircon U–Pb dating of the HMAs and HMDs yielded ages between 336.9 ± 1.9 Ma and 329.0 ± 4.2 Ma. The HMAs and HMDs show calc-alkaline affinities, and exhibit weak Rb, Ba, U, and Pb enrichment and Nb and Ta depletion, with minor negative Eu anomalies. Moreover, the positive ε Nd (t) values (+6.4 to +6.6), low Th and (La/Sm) N contents/ratios, as well as relatively low and variable ε Hf (t) values (−3.71 to +1.55) indicate that they were probably sourced from a depleted mantle wedge with negligible to minor crustal contamination. They have low Ba/Th ratios (10.8–93.3), minor negative Eu anomalies, high and variable (La/Sm) N and Th/Yb ratios, which are comparable to the well-known sanukites of the Setouchi volcanic belt, suggesting involvement of sediment-derived magmas during their formation. Integrating published regional mafic–intermediate rocks from the Aqishan-Yamansu belt and this study, we propose that the Hongshanliang high-Mg rocks formed in a continental arc-related setting in the Carboniferous and the belt underwent a sharp tectonic transition event (ca. 330–322 Ma) from the Kangguer oceanic slab steepening to breakoff, corresponding to the Late Carboniferous basin inversion. [Display omitted] • Newly ca. 880 Ma gabbro-diorite and gabbro are identified in the Bikou Terrane. • Both the gabbro-diorite and gabbro were formed in a subduction-related tectonic setting. • The Bikou Terrane was a part of the subduction-related system during the early Neoproterozoic. The Neoproterozoic mafic intrusions in the Bikou Terrane along the northwestern margin of the Yangtze Block record crucial information on evaluating the tectonic evolution of the Yangtze Block, South China. However, their petrogenesis and tectonic significance are still poorly constrained. In this paper, we present the results of a comprehensive study of zircon U–Pb geochronology and whole-rock geochemistry from the gabbro-diorites and gabbros of the Bikou Terrane. Zircon U–Pb dating results indicate that these gabbro-diorite and gabbro samples were formed coevally at ca. 880 Ma. The gabbro-diorite samples are calc-alkaline in composition and have intermediate contents of SiO 2 , Mg#, Ni, and Cr. They are enriched in LREEs, and depleted in HFSEs (i.e., Nb, Ta, Zr, and Hf). They have relatively high ratios of Th/Yb, and low ratios of Nb/Yb, Nb/La, Th/Nd, Th/Zr, and U/Th, indicating that they were derived from partial melting of a mantle wedge source metasomatized by slab-derived melts. The gabbro samples are commonly classified as sub-alkaline tholeiitic rocks, and have constantly low to medium values of MgO, Mg#, Cr, and Ni, with distinct spikes at Th, U, Nb and Ta concentrations. They show an E-MORB-like enriched LREEs, low ratios of Nb/La, Ta/Yb, Th/La, and Nb/Zr, and medium ratios of Nb/Yb and Th/Yb, implying that they were most probably originated from the interaction between the upwelling enriched asthenospheric mantle and the mantle wedge peridotite. This mechanism may be triggered by the slab rollback process in a subduction-related environment. Our new investigations, along with available observations from other scholars, support the persistent subduction-related system along the northwestern margin of the Yangtze Block during the early Neoproterozoic. The granodiorites, monzogranites and diorites are widely developed in the Balikun area of Eastern Tianshan Orogen. Of which, LA–ICP–MS zircon U‐Pb isotopic dating from the diorites revealed that they were emplaced at 327∼333 Ma, representing an important period of magmatism in the Early Carboniferous. Geochemically, they are characterized by moderate SiO2 (51.33–62.48 wt%), high but variable MgO (2.04–11.16 wt%, average 5.35), higher Mg# (40–73) and TiO2 (0.67–1.29 wt%), Na2O/K2O (1.39–2.95) as well as variable Cr (2.49–675 ppm) and Ni (1.31–174 ppm), showing a geochemistry similar to those of high‐Mg diorites or sanukitoids. In addition, they are enriched in the LILE, poor HFSE with an evident negative Nb anomalies and a REE pattern of moderate fractionator between LREE and HREE without or weak negative Eu anomalies. Their ∊Hf(t) are positive (+3.63–+15.65), suggesting a source from the depleted mantle. In addition, they have high TiO2 and Pb, and large quantity of amphibolite and biotite, indicating that they were most likely derived from the partial melting of depleted mantle metasomatized by the slab‐derived melt under a hydrous condition. Consequently, combined with the contemporary volcanics and granitoids formed in the island arc settings, we proposed that the subduction was continued till Early Carboniferous in the Bogda‐Harlik tectonic belt. After that, wide occurrence of the post‐collisional A‐type granites and mafic‐ultramafic intrusions indicate this tectonic belt entered the post‐collisional environment from Late Carboniferous to Permian.
