Abstract

A novel palladium catalyzed highly para-selective C–H difluoromethylation of electron-deficient aromatic carbonyls was developed. Diverse substituted aromatic ketones and benzoates were selectively difluoromethylated at the remote para-site of carbonyl groups in moderate to good yields.
