The proven TWINDEXX Vario double-deck trains from Bombardier Transportation have continuously been adapted to the new requirements of modern rail passenger traffic. Thereby a variable product platform was developed. With the appropriate equipment, the trains will be used in the future for long-distance traffic of Deutsche Bahn. Comfortable seats, more legroom, luggage racks close to the seats or particular quiescent zones are only some examples of the special passenger comfort found on these trains. The new flexible traction equipment in the motorized cab cars enable the TWINDEXX Vario double-deck trains to operate in both regional and longdistance traffic. Operation as pure electrical multiple unit or as classic push-pull train with electric or diesel locomotive, as well as the coaches being compatible with previous vehicle generations, open more fields of application.
