Aim: To construct evidence-based sensitive quality indicators for patients' rapid rehabilitation care after combined pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) and to provide a reference for clinical nursing professionals to scientifically evaluate the quality of patients' rehabilitation post-PD. Background: Since PD is associated with higher surgical risk and anastomotic complications, it leads to higher complication rates and longer postoperative recovery cycles. This reiterates the need for rapid recovery of patients after PD; however, the evaluation of sensitive nursing care indicators regarding rapid recovery post-PD has not yet been established to date. Methods: Based on the Donabedian structure-process-result theory model, we used available literature, semi-structured interviews, the Delphi method, and hierarchical analysis to establish a sensitive indicator system for patients' rapid rehabilitation after PD and evaluate the importance of such indicators. Results: There were two rounds of expert correspondence, and the effective recovery rate of the questionnaires of these rounds was 100%. The expert authority coefficients, as well as the Kendall coordination coefficients of the expert opinions, were 0.859 and 0.872 as well as 0.423 and 0.431, with statistically significant differences (p < 0.05), respectively. Consequently, we developed a sensitive quality index system for patients' rapid rehabilitation care after combined PD, including 3 first-level, 12 s-level, and 23 third-level indexes, respectively. Conclusion: The constructed sensitive quality index system developed for patients' rapid rehabilitation nursing care after combined PD is standardized, practical, and aligned with the specialty characteristics. Furthermore, this might help greatly in improving the quality and safety of patients' rapid rehabilitation nursing care after combined PD, standardizing nursing management skills, and enhancing nursing quality. Introduction: A dynamic molecular biomarker that can identify early efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy remains an unmet clinical need. Here we evaluate if a novel circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) assay, xM, used for treatment response monitoring (TRM), that quantifies changes in ctDNA tumor fraction (TF), can predict outcome benefits in patients treated with ICI alone or in combination with chemotherapy in a real-world (RW) cohort. Methods: This retrospective study consisted of patients with advanced cancer from the Tempus de-identified clinical genomic database who received longitudinal liquid-based next-generation sequencing. Eligible patients had a blood sample ≤ 40 days prior to the start of ICI initiation and an on-treatment blood sample 15–180 days post ICI initiation. TF was calculated via an ensemble algorithm that utilizes TF estimates derived from variants and copy number information. Patients with molecular response (MR) were defined as patients with a ≥ 50% decrease in TF between tests. In the subset of patients with rw-imaging data between 2 and 18 weeks of ICI initiation, the predictive value of MR in addition to rw-imaging was compared to a model of rw-imaging alone. Results: The evaluable cohort (N = 86) was composed of 14 solid cancer types. Patients received either ICI monotherapy (38.4%, N = 33) or ICI in combination with chemotherapy (61.6%, N = 53). Patients with MR had significantly longer rw-overall survival (rwOS) (hazard ratio (HR) 0.4, P = 0.004) and rw-progression free survival (rwPFS) (HR 0.4, P = 0.005) than patients with molecular non-response (nMR). Similar results were seen in the ICI monotherapy subcohort; HR 0.2, P = 0.02 for rwOS and HR 0.2, P = 0.01 for rwPFS. In the subset of patients with matched rw-imaging data (N = 51), a model incorporating both MR and rw-imaging was superior in predicting rwOS than rw-imaging alone (P = 0.02). Background: Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) poses significant risks to maternal and fetal health. Current diagnostic methods based on glucose tolerance tests have limitations for early detection. tRNA‐derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) have emerged as potential molecular regulators in various diseases, including metabolic disorders. However, the diagnostic value of tsRNAs in plasma for early GDM or postpartum remains unclear. Methods: This longitudinal study profiled the expression of tsRNAs across different gestational stages and postpartum in women with GDM (n = 40) and healthy control gestational women (HCs, n = 40). High‐throughput small RNA sequencing identified candidate tsRNAs, which were then validated and correlated with clinical biochemical markers such as fasting blood glucose (FBG), HOMA‐IR, and GHbA1c. Results: tRF‐1:32‐Val‐AAC‐1‐M6, tRF‐1:31‐Glu‐CTC‐1‐M2, and tRF‐1:30‐Gly‐CCC‐1‐M4 were consistently upregulated in the GDM group compared to HCs during the second trimester (p < 0.05). Only tRF‐1:31‐Glu‐CTC‐1‐M2 was highly expressed during the first trimester, and tRF‐1:30‐Gly‐CCC‐1‐M4 increased during postpartum. tRF‐1:31‐Glu‐CTC‐1‐M2 showed a significant correlation with FBG levels in the first trimester (R = 0.317, p = 0.047). The expression of tRF‐1:30‐Gly‐CCC‐1‐M4 was significantly correlated with HOMA‐IR (r = 0.65, p < 0.001) and GHBA1c (r = 0.33, p = 0.037) during postpartum. A joint diagnostic model incorporating tsRNAs expression and clinical markers demonstrated enhanced predictive power for GDM (ROC AUC = 0.768). Conclusion: Our results revealed distinct expression patterns of specific tsRNAs in GDM, showcasing their correlation with key metabolic parameters. This underscores their promising role as biomarkers for early prediction and diagnosis of GDM. Chronic wounds are susceptible to bacterial infections and at high risk of developing antibiotic‐resistant bacterial infections. Silver is an antimicrobial by targeting almost all types of bacteria in chronic wounds to reduce the bacterial load in the infected area and further facilitate the healing process. This study focused on exploring whether silver‐based dressings were superior to non‐silver dressings in the treatment of chronic wounds. PubMed, Web of Science and Embase were comprehensively searched from inception to March 2024 for randomized clinical trials and observational studies. The endpoints in terms of wound healing rate, complete healing time, reduction on wound surface area and wound infection rate were analysed using Review Manager 5.4 software. A total of 15 studies involving 5046 patients were eventually included. The results showed that compared with patients provided with non‐silver dressings, patients provided with silver‐based dressings had higher wound healing rate (OR: 1.43, 95% CI: 1.10–1.85, p = 0.008), shorter complete healing time (MD: −0.96, 95% CI: −1.08 ~ −0.85, p < 0.00001) and lower wound infection rate (OR: 0.56, 95% CI: 0.40–0.79, p = 0.001); no significant difference in the reduction on wound surface area (MD: 12.41, 95% CI: −19.59–44.40, p = 0.45) was found. These findings suggested that the silver‐based dressings were able to enhance chronic wound healing rate, shorten the complete healing time and reduce wound infection rate, but had no significant improvement in the reduction on wound surface area. Aims and Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the current status of the core competencies and self‐directed learning ability of diabetes specialist nurses and to explore the relationship between these core competencies and their self‐directed learning ability. Design: A cross‐sectional survey design was used. Methods: This cross‐sectional study was conducted via a web‐based questionnaire platform in China from January 14 to April 24, 2023. The survey included a general information questionnaire, a diabetes specialist nurses' core competencies self‐assessment scale, and a nursing staff's self‐directed learning ability evaluation scale. The data was collected online. Descriptive, correlation and multiple linear regression analyses were conducted using SPSS 26.0 software. Results: 118 diabetes specialist nurses from 11 cities participated in this study. A positive correlation was observed between the core competencies of diabetes specialist nurses and their self‐directed learning ability. The characteristics affecting the core competencies of diabetes specialist nurses included age, participation in external learning and communication and self‐directed learning. Conclusions: The training of diabetes specialist nurses can focus on core competencies, and the ability to self‐direct learning can be used as an entry point to customize feasible theoretical and practical courses. The training system can further improve diabetes specialist nurses' core competencies and self‐directed learning abilities. Relevance to Clinical Practice: A reference can be established that nursing managers and nursing educators can use to develop training programs for specialist nurses by validating the link between their core competencies and self‐directed learning skills. Two new iridoid glycosides, piasezkiiosides A (1) and B (2), were isolated from aqueous extract of the whole plant of Rehmannia piasezkii. Their structures were established from the spectroscopic data, chemical transformation, and X-ray diffraction analysis. Objective: To describe treatment patterns and direct healthcare costs over 3 years following initiation of standard of care acute and preventive migraine medications in patients with migraine in the United States. Background: There are limited data on long‐term (>1 year) migraine treatments patterns and associated outcomes. Methods: This was a retrospective, observational cohort study using US claims data from the IBM® MarketScan® Research Database (January 2010–December 2017). Adults were included if they had a prescription claim for acute migraine treatments (AMT) or preventive migraine treatments (PMT) in the index period (January 2011–December 2014). The AMT cohort was categorized as persistent, cycled, or added‐on subgroups; the PMT cohort was categorized PMT‐persistent, switched without gaps, or cycled with gaps. Migraine‐specific annual direct costs (2017 US$) across AMT and PMT cohort subgroups were summarized at baseline through 3 years from index (follow‐up). Results: During the index period, 20,778 and 42,259 patients initiated an AMT and a PMT, respectively. At the 3‐year follow‐up, migraine‐specific direct costs were lower in the persistent subgroup relative to the non‐persistent subgroups in both AMT (mean [SD]: $789 [$1741] vs. $2847 [$8149] in the added‐on subgroup and $862 [$5426] for the cycled subgroup) and PMT cohorts (mean [SD]: $1817 [$5892] in the persistent subgroup vs. $4257 [$11,392] in the switched without gaps subgroup and $3269 [$18,540] in the cycled with gaps subgroup). Acute medication overuse was lower in the persistent subgroup (1025/6504 [27.2%]) vs. non‐persistent subgroups (11,236/58,863 [32.2%] in cycled with gaps subgroup and 1431/6504 [39.4%] in the switched without gaps subgroup). Most patients used multiple acute (19,717/20,778 [94.9%]) or preventive (38,494/42,259 [91.1%]) pharmacological therapies over 3 years following treatment initiation. Gaps in preventive therapy were common; an average gap ranged from 85 to 211 days (~3–7 months). Conclusion: Migraine‐specific annual healthcare costs and acute migraine medication overuse remained lowest among patients with persistent AMT and PMT versus non‐persistent treatment. Study findings are limited to the US population. Future studies should compare costs and associated outcomes between newer preventive migraine medications in patients with migraine. Plain Language Summary: Little is known about how patients use medications to acutely treat or prevent migraine over longer periods of time and their associated costs. This study used information from medical and pharmacy claims to understand costs over time for three groups of patients with migraine: (1) those who remained on the same medication for 3 years, (2) those who changed medications, or (3) those who stopped treatment and then changed medications. Results showed that fewer than one in 10 patients stayed on the same medication to treat or prevent migraine over 3 years, but migraine costs and acute migraine medication overuse were lowest in these patients. Suturing skill scores have demonstrated strong predictive capabilities for patient functional recovery. The suturing can be broken down into several substep components, including needle repositioning, needle entry angle, etc. Artificial intelligence (AI) systems have been explored to automate suturing skill scoring. Traditional approaches to skill assessment typically focus on evaluating individual sub-skills required for particular substeps in isolation. However, surgical procedures require the integration and coordination of multiple sub-skills to achieve successful outcomes. Significant associations among the technical sub-skill have been established by existing studies. In this paper, we propose a framework for joint skill assessment that takes into account the interconnected nature of sub-skills required in surgery. The prior known relationships among sub-skills are firstly identified. Our proposed AI system is then empowered by the prior known relationships to perform the suturing skill scoring for each sub-skill domain simultaneously. Our approach can effectively improve skill assessment performance through the prior known relationships among sub-skills. Through the proposed approach to joint skill assessment, we aspire to enhance the evaluation of surgical proficiency and ultimately improve patient outcomes in surgery. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Background and objectives: Despite being clinically utilized for the treatment of infections, the limited therapeutic range of polymyxin B (PMB), along with considerable interpatient variability in its pharmacokinetics and frequent occurrence of acute kidney injury, has significantly hindered its widespread utilization. Recent research on the population pharmacokinetics of PMB has provided valuable insights. This study aims to review relevant literature to establish a theoretical foundation for individualized clinical management. Methods: Follow PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) guidelines, Pop-PK studies of PMB were searched in PubMed and EMBASE database systems from the inception of the database until March 2023. Result: To date, a total of 22 population-based studies have been conducted, encompassing 756 subjects across six different countries. The recruited population in these studies consisted of critically infected individuals with multidrug-resistant bacteria, patients with varying renal functions, those with cystic fibrosis, kidney or lung transplant recipients, patients undergoing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) or continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), as well as individuals with obesity or pediatric populations. Among these studies, seven employed a one-compartmental model, with the range of typical clearance (CL) and volume (Vc) being 1.18–2.5L /h and 12.09–47.2 L, respectively. Fifteen studies employed a two-compartmental model, with the ranges of the clearance (CL) and volume of the central compartment (Vc), the volume of the peripheral compartment (Vp), and the intercompartment clearance (Q) were 1.27–8.65 L/h, 5.47–38.6 L, 4.52–174.69 L, and 1.34–24.3 L/h, respectively. Primary covariates identified in these studies included creatinine clearance and body weight, while other covariates considered were CRRT, albumin, age, and SOFA scores. Internal evaluation was conducted in 19 studies, with only one study being externally validated using an independent external dataset. Conclusion: We conclude that small sample sizes, lack of multicentre collaboration, and patient homogeneity are the primary reasons for the discrepancies in the results of the current studies. We established myocardial injury models in vivo and in vitro to investigate the cardioprotective effect of gomisin D obtained from Schisandra chinensis. Gomisin D significantly inhibited isoproterenol-induced apoptosis and hypertrophy in H9C2 cells. Gomisin D decreased serum BNP, ANP, CK-MB, cTn-T levels and histopathological alterations, and inhibited myocardial hypertrophy in mice. In mechanisms research, gomisin D reversed ISO-induced accumulation of intracellular ROS and Ca2+. Gomisin D further improved mitochondrial energy metabolism disorders by regulating the TCA cycle. These results demonstrated that gomisin D had a significant effect on isoproterenol-induced myocardial injury by inhibiting oxidative stress, calcium overload and improving mitochondrial energy metabolism. Background: To identify independent factors of cognitive frailty (CF) and construct a nomogram to predict cognitive frailty risk in patients with lung cancer receiving drug therapy. Methods: In this cross‐sectional study, patients with lung cancer undergoing drug therapy from October 2022 to July 2023 were enrolled. The data collected includes general demographic characteristics, clinical data characteristics and assessment of tools for cognitive frailty and other factors. Logistic regression was harnessed to determine the influencing factors, R software was used to establish a nomogram model to predict the risk of cognitive frailty. The enhanced bootstrap method was employed for internal verification of the model. The performance of the nomogram was evaluated by using calibration curves, the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve, and decision curve analysis. Results: A total of 372 patients were recruited, with a cognitive frailty prevalence of 56.2%. Age, education background, diabetes mellitus, insomnia, sarcopenia, and nutrition status were identified as independent factors. Then, a nomogram model was constructed and patients were classified into high‐ and low‐risk groups with a cutoff value of 0.552. The internal validation results revealed good concordance, calibration and discrimination. The decision curve analysis presented prominent clinical utility. Conclusions: The prevalence of cognitive frailty was higher in lung cancer patients receiving drug therapy. The nomogram could identify the risk of cognitive frailty intuitively and simply in patients with lung cancer, so as to provide references for early screening and intervention for cognitive frailty at the early phases of drug treatment. Their structures were established from the spectroscopic data obtained and by chemical evidence. Background: Herb-drug interactions may result in increased adverse drug reactions or diminished drug efficacy, especially for drugs with a narrow therapeutic index such as warfarin. The current study investigates the effects of sodium ferulate for injection (SFI) on anticoagulation of warfarin from aspects of pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics in rats and predicts the risk of the combination use. Methods: Rats were randomly divided into different groups and administered single- or multiple-dose of warfarin (0.2 mg/kg) with or without SFI of low dose (8.93 mg/kg) or high dose (26.79 mg/kg). Prothrombin time (PT) and activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) were detected by a blood coagulation analyzer, and international normalized ratio (INR) values were calculated. UPLC-MS/MS was conducted to measure concentrations of warfarin enantiomers and pharmacokinetic parameters were calculated by DAS2.0 software. Results: The single-dose study demonstrated that SFI alone had no effect on coagulation indices, but significantly decreased PT and INR values of warfarin when the two drugs were co-administered (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01), while APTT values unaffected (P > 0.05). Cmax and AUC of R/S-warfarin decreased but CL increased significantly in presence of SFI (P < 0.01). The multiple-dose study showed that PT, APTT, INR, and concentrations of R/S-warfarin decreased significantly when SFI was co-administered with warfarin (P < 0.01). Warfarin plasma protein binding rate was not significantly changed by SFI (P > 0.05). Aims and Objectives: (i) To estimate the national incidence of unplanned removal of peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) in China. (ii) To explore the associated risk factors to provide evidence for the prevention. Design: A multi‐centre prospective cohort study. Methods: A representative sample of 3222 Chinese adult patients with successful PICC insertion was recruited for the PICC Safety Management Research (PATH) using a two‐stage cluster sampling method from December 2020 to June 2022. Sixty hospitals from seven Chinese provinces representing all geographical regions were selected. Demographic information and PICC characteristics were collected using a standard online case report form. Risk factors for the unplanned removal of PICCs were assessed using a cause‐specific hazard model and verified using a sub‐distribution hazard model. STROBE guidelines were followed in reporting this study. Results: Three thousand one hundred and sixty‐six patients were included in the final analysis with a mean age of 59 years and a total of 344,247 catheter days. The incidence of unplanned removal was 10.04%. Female, with thrombosis history, PICC insertion due to infusion failure, valved catheter and double‐lumen catheter were risk factors, whereas longer insertion and exposure length were protective factors in the cause‐specific hazard model. Higher BMI became an independent risk factor in the sub‐distribution hazard model. Conclusions: Unplanned removal of PICCs is a serious clinical challenge in China. Our findings call for prevention strategies targeting the identified risk factors. Relevance to Clinical Practice: Our study characterised the epidemiology of unplanned removal of PICCs among Chinese adult inpatients, highlighting the need for prevention among this population and providing a basis for the formulation of relevant prevention strategies. To evaluate the effectiveness of Tai Chi on cognitive function in older adults with mild cognitive impairment. A systematic search of eight English and five Chinese electronic databases was conducted to identify randomized controlled trials of Tai Chi as the intervention. The main outcomes included executive function, episodic memory, visuospatial function, working memory, concentration, memory complaints, and global cognition. The Cochrane RoB tool was used to assess bias in the study. Meta-analysis was conducted using Review Manager 5.4. Narrative syntheses were performed if meta-analysis was inappropriate. A total of eleven trials (905 participants) were included. Meta-analysis showed that Tai Chi significantly and moderately affected executive function (SMD = −1.01, 95% CI: −1.54 to −0.47, p < 0.001), episodic memory (SMD = 0.59, 95% CI: 0.24 to 0.94, p = 0.001), visuospatial function (SMD = 0.38, 95% CI: 0.15 to 0.60, p < 0.001), and global cognition (SMD = 0.57, 95% CI: 0.14 to 1.00, p = 0.01).One study showed that Tai Chi could improve verbal fluency. This review reveals that Tai Chi can improve executive function, episodic memory, visuospatial function, and global cognition in older adults with mild cognitive impairment, but not working memory, concentration, or memory complaints. These findings are consist with existing reviews about the effectiveness of Tai Chi. Long-duration (> 1500 min) Tai Chi is more effective for improving global cognition. However, the findings should be interpreted with caution due to the potential risk of bias and limited sample sizes of the included studies. Background: Treatment options for calcific tendinitis (CT) of the shoulder remain controversial. A consensus for an operative indication for this condition is lacking. Purpose: To compare nonoperative versus operative treatment for shoulder CT and analyze factors affecting the prognosis after treatment. Study Design: Cohort study; Level of evidence, 3. Methods: A total of 180 patients diagnosed with symptomatic CT between January 2017 and September 2021 were evaluated in this retrospective cohort study. There were 103 patients treated nonoperatively at our institution, which included the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, acupuncture, steroid injections, extracorporeal shock wave therapy, and ultrasound-guided needle aspiration/percutaneous irrigation. However, 77 patients were treated with arthroscopic surgery after 6 months of failed nonoperative treatment. The visual analog scale (VAS) for pain, the Constant-Murley score, and imaging were used to assess and evaluate outcomes. Descriptive data, functional outcomes, and imaging findings were compared between the operative and nonoperative groups before and after propensity score matching. Additionally, prognostic factors including calcium deposit size, tendon infiltration by calcium deposits, involvement of single or multiple tendons, and occurrence of rotator cuff tears were analyzed by comparing the groups to determine their effect on treatment options and recovery. Results: Magnetic resonance imaging showed that the supraspinatus tendon (66.7%) was most commonly involved, followed by the infraspinatus (42.8%) and subscapularis (21.1%) tendons. Tendon infiltration by calcium deposits was observed in 84.4% of the patients, and rotator cuff tears occurred in 30.0% of the patients. After propensity score matching, there was no significant difference in changes in the Constant-Murley score (48.1 ± 25.4 vs 49.0 ± 22.8, respectively; P =.950) and VAS score (4.9 ± 2.3 vs 4.5 ± 1.9, respectively; P =.860) between the operative and nonoperative groups at the final follow-up. However, for patients with shoulder CT and without rotator cuff tears, there was a significant difference in changes in the Constant-Murley score (52.93 ± 25.18 vs 42.13 ± 22.35, respectively; P =.012) and VAS score (5.21 ± 2.06 vs 3.81 ± 1.98, respectively; P <.001) between the operative and nonoperative groups, but the recovery time in the operative group was longer than that in the nonoperative group (86.92 ± 138.56 vs 30.42 ± 54.97 days, respectively; P =.016). The results also showed that calcium deposit size, involvement of multiple tendons, and tendon infiltration by calcium deposits did not affect the recovery time after treatment. The survival analysis showed that rotator cuff tears affected the complete recovery of shoulder function. Conclusion: This study demonstrated no significant difference between nonoperative and operative treatment for patients with shoulder CT, on the whole. However, for patients with shoulder CT and without rotator cuff tears, the effect of operative treatment was better than that of nonoperative treatment; yet, operative treatment was shown to prolong the recovery time. Calcium deposit size, tendon infiltration by calcium deposits, and involvement of multiple tendons did not correlate with recovery time or the recovery of function. Background: The interbody fusion apparatus is a key component of the operation and plays a key role in the postoperative efficacy. Cage subsidence is one of the common complications after lumbar fusion and internal fixation. Clinical studies on the risk factors of cage subsidence are incomplete and inaccurate, especially paravertebral muscle atrophy and intervertebral bone fusion time. Methods: Among the patients who underwent PLIF surgery in our hospital from January 2016 to January 2019, 30 patients with cage subsidence and 30 patients without cage subsidence were randomly selected to be included in this study. The differences between the two groups were compared, and the relevant factors of cage subsidence were explored by single factor comparison and multiple logistic regression analysis. Results: Bone mineral density (T) of the subsidence group [(− 1.84 ± 1.81) g/cm2 vs (− 0.87 ± 1.63) g/cm2, P = 0.018] was significantly lower than that of the normal group. There were 4 patients with end plate injury in the subsidence group (P = 0.038). Preoperative end plate Modic changes [I/II/III, (7/2/2) vs (2/5/8), P = 0.043] were significantly different between the two groups. In the subsidence group, preoperative rCSA of psoas major muscle [(1.43 ± 0.40) vs (1.64 ± 0.41), P = 0.043], CSA of paravertebral muscle [(4530.25 ± 776.55) mm2 vs (4964.75 ± 888.48) mm2, P = 0.047], paravertebral muscle rCSA [(3.03 ± 0.72) vs (3.84 ± 0.73), P < 0.001] and paravertebral muscle rFCSA [(2.29 ± 0.60) vs (2.89 ± 0.66), P < 0.001] were significantly lower than those in normal group. In the subsidence group, the vertebral body area [(1547.81 ± 309.89) mm2 vs (1326.48 ± 297.21) mm2, P = 0.004], the height of the immediately corrected vertebral space [(2.86 ± 1.10) mm vs (1.65 ± 1.02) mm, P = 0.020], immediately SL corrective Angle [(5.81 + 4.71)° vs (3.24 + 3.57) °, P = 0.009), postoperative PI—LL [(11.69 + 6.99)° vs (6.66 + 9.62) °, P = 0.029] and intervertebral fusion time [(5.38 ± 1.85) months vs (4.30 ± 1.49) months, P = 0.023] were significantly higher than those in the normal group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the time of intervertebral fusion (OR = 1.158, P = 0.045), the height of immediate intervertebral space correction (OR = 1.438, P = 0.038), and the Angle of immediate SL correction (OR = 1.101, P = 0.019) were the risk factors for cage subsidence. Bone mineral density (OR = 0.544, P = 0.016) and preoperative paravertebral muscle rFCSA (OR = 0.525, P = 0.048) were protective factors. Conclusion: Intervertebral fusion time, correctable height of intervertebral space, excessive Angle of immediate SL correction, bone mineral density and preoperative paravertebral muscle rFCSA are risk factors for cage subsidence after PLIF. Background: Labor after cesarean (LAC) remains an optional delivery method among healthy pregnant individuals. Exploring women's attitudes, preferences, reasons for previous cesarean delivery, and the incentives underlying pregnant individuals' preferences could help us understand their choice of delivery mode. In this study we evaluated the preferences and attitudes of eligible pregnant women regarding participation in a LAC in Foshan, China. Methods: A cross‐sectional survey was conducted among 438 pregnant individuals with one prior cesarean delivery (CD) who attended their antenatal examination at a tertiary hospital in southern China, between November 1, 2018, and October 31, 2019. Information on demographic characteristics, obstetric data, preferences for LAC, and incentives for LAC were analyzed. Results: Overall, 85.4% (374/438) of women preferred LAC if they did not have contraindications before delivery, whereas 12.3% (54/438) refused and 2.3% (10/438) were unsure. Participants reported that the most important factors affecting their willingness to undergo LAC were safety indicators (i.e., "ability of hospitals to perform emergency cesarean delivery" [score of 9.28 ± 1.86]), followed by accessibility indicators (i.e., "priority bed arrangements" [score of 9.17 ± 1.84]). Logistic regression analysis indicated that neonatal wellbeing with the prior CD was an independent influencing factor (OR = 2.235 [95%CI: 1.115–4.845], p = 0.024) affecting willingness to access LAC in the subsequent pregnancy. Conclusions: We found a high preference for LAC among pregnant individuals without contraindications before delivery in southern China. Healthcare providers need to ensure access to LAC and increase pregnant individuals' LAC willingness through high‐quality shared decsision‐making in alignment with patient preferences. Breast cancer is considered the most prevalent malignancy due to its high incidence rate, recurrence, and metastasis in women that makes it one of the deadliest cancers. The current study aimed to predict the genes associated with the recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer and to validate their effect on MDA-MB-231 cells. Through the bioinformatics analysis, the transcription factor 7 cofactor (MLLT11) as the target gene was obtained. MLLT11-specific siRNA was synthesized and transfected into MDA-MB-231 cells. The results demonstrated that the siRNA significantly reduced the MLLT11 mRNA levels. Moreover, cell migration and invasion, as well as the protein levels of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K), AKT, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) 2, and MMP9, were significantly lower in the groups treated with siRNA while the apoptosis was augmented. Background: Endometriosis is a common and complex syndrome characterized by the presence of endometrial-like tissue outside the uterus. Chinese medicine has been recently found to show good efficacy in treating endometriosis. Our previous results revealed that Maqian fruit essential oil (MQEO) could inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of ectopic endometrial stromal cells (EESCs), but the mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, we aim to explore the molecular mechanism of MQEO's specific effects in EESCs. Methods: We conducted a quantitative proteomics analysis by iTRAQ on EESCs treated with MQEO or DMSO. Then deep analysis was performed based on differentially expressed proteins, including Gene Ontology enrichment analysis, pathway enrichment analysis and protein interaction analysis. Candidate protein targets were subsequently verified by western blotting. Results: Among 6575 identified proteins, 435 proteins exhibited altered expression levels in MQEO-treated EESCs. Of these proteins, most were distributed in signal transduction as well as immune system and the most significantly altered pathway was complement and coagulation cascades. Moreover, two differentially expressed proteins (Heme oxygenase 1 and Acyl-CoA 6-desaturase) were verified and they can be potential biomarkers for endometriosis treatment. Conclusions: Our proteomic analysis revealed distinct protein expression patterns induced by MQEO treatment in EESCs, highlighting the potential of MQEO for endometriosis treatment and biomarker discovery. Background: This study evaluated the content validity and psychometric properties of the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System® (PROMIS)-Fatigue Short Form 7a (SF-7a) v1.0 scale to determine its suitability in clinical trials to assess fatigue in patients with moderately to severely active Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC). Methods: A qualitative interview assessed patients' experience living with CD (N = 20) and UC (N = 19). The contents of the SF-7a scale were cognitively debriefed to evaluate content validity. A psychometric evaluation was performed using data from clinical trials of patients with CD (N = 360) and UC (N = 214). Correlations with Inflammatory Bowel Disease Questionnaire (IBDQ), Crohn's Disease Activity Index (CDAI; CD only), and Mayo score (UC only) determined validity. The Patient Global Impression of Change (PGIC) was used to evaluate reliability and responsiveness to change. Using PGIC as an anchor, a preliminary threshold for clinically meaningful change was identified to define fatigue response in both CD and UC patients. Results: All patients reported fatigue as a common symptom. Patients confirmed SF-7a items were relevant to assessing fatigue, instructions and response options were clear, and its 7-day recall period was appropriate. Higher SF-7a scores were associated with higher disease activity (CDAI and Mayo score) and lower health-related quality of life (IBDQ), confirming known groups validity. The correlation of the SF-7a scale was higher with fatigue-related items. (rs ≥ -0.70) than with items not directly associated with fatigue. Test-retest reliability was moderate to good (0.54–0.89) among patients with stable disease, and responsiveness to change in disease severity was demonstrated from baseline to Week 12. A ≥7point decrease was identified as a reasonable threshold to define clinically meaningful improvement. Conclusion: The SF-7a scale is a valid, reliable, and sensitive measure of fatigue in patients with moderately to severely active IBD and can be used to evaluate treatment response. Aim. The aim of this study was to determine whether the relationship among the nursing work environment, psychological resilience, and transition shock was mediated by nurses' perceived professional benefits and to explore the associations among these variables. Background. Nurses' transition shock is an important factor in reducing the nursing staff turnover rate. Thus, clarifying the factors influencing nurses' transition shock has become a priority. Methods. Cross-sectional research was used in this study. A total of 200 newly graduated Chinese nurses were recruited by convenience sampling in 2022 from three tertiary hospitals in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei. Data were collected through questionnaires and included demographic data in addition to the perceived professional benefit scale of nurses, the nursing work environment scale, the brief resilience scale, and the transition shock scale. The data were analysed using SPSS 25.0 and the SPSS PROCESS macro programme, Model 6. Results. The perceived professional benefit of new nurses, the nursing work environment, and psychological resilience directly influenced transition shock (p < 0.01). The perceived professional benefit of new nurses mediated the relationship among the nursing work environment, psychological resilience, and transition shock (p < 0.01). The final model's mediating influence contributed 21.53% and 6.85% to the total influence. Conclusion. Nursing managers can improve nurses' perceptions of professional benefits from psychological resilience and the nursing work environment to reduce the impact of transition from school to work for new nurses. Implications for Nursing Management. This study provides a reference for the development of intervention strategies and training programmes to assist new nurses in cancer hospitals in effectively navigating the transition into their careers. Aim: To investigate the effectiveness of internet‐based self‐management interventions on pulmonary function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Design: Systematic review and meta‐analysis. Data Sources: Eight electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane library, Embase, CINAHL, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wangfang and Weipu databases were systematically searched from inception of the database to January 10, 2022. Methods: Statistical analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.4 and results were reported as mean difference (MD) or standard mean difference (SMD) with 95% confidence intervals (CI). Outcomes were the forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), forced volume capacity (FVC) and percent of FEV1/FVC. The Cochrane Risk of Bias Tool was used to assess the risk of bias of included studies. The study protocol was not registered. Results: Eight randomized controlled trials (RCTs) including 476 participants met the inclusion criteria and were included in meta‐analysis. It was found that internet‐based self‐management interventions showed a significant improvement in FVC(L), while FEV1 (%), FEV1 (L), FEV1/FVC (%) and FVC (%) did not significantly improve. Conclusions: Internet‐based self‐management interventions were effective in improving pulmonary function in patients with COPD, caution should be exercised in interpreting the results. RCTs of higher quality are needed in the future to further demonstrate the effectiveness of the intervention. Relevance to Clinical Practice: It provides evidence for internet‐based self‐management interventions in improving pulmonary function in patients with COPD. Impact: The results suggested that internet‐based self‐management interventions could improve the pulmonary function in people with COPD. Aim: To explore the physical and mental health status of community residents and to identify the risk factors of chronic diseases. Design: A cross‐sectional, descriptive correlational study was conducted. Methods: A total of 579 participants were recruited from 15 communities in Tianjin. The demographic information sheet, 7‐item Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD‐7) and Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ‐9) were used. Data collection was undertaken based on the health management system on mobile phones from April to May 2019. Results: Eighty‐four participants of the total number of surveyed were with chronic disease. The incidence of depression and anxiety in participants was 44.2% and 41.3%. Logistic regression analysis showed that age (OR = 4.905, 95%CI: 2.619–9.187), religious belief (OR = 0.445, 95%CI: 1.510–11.181) and working condition (OR = 0.161, 95%CI: 0.299–0.664) entered the regression equation. Simple Summary: We hypothesised that change in a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) biomarker, the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) after 14 days of treatment could be a proxy for tumour regression grade (TRG) on pathology. Measurement of the imaging biomarker was standardised across centres. We restricted measurements to liver metastases from colorectal cancer and ensured a standardised chemotherapy approach. We identified and eliminated significant measurement error due to MRI scanner performance. We excluded studies that failed to conform to the imaging protocol or where images contained movement artefact. We ensured stability of the scanners by periodic quality control testing and used a standard, widely used data analysis technique to derive the ADC. Despite these measures, our results showed no significant correlation between ADC and TRG or between ADC and percentage of viable tumour, percentage necrosis, percentage fibrosis or a tumour proliferation index. This may reflect the complex cellular architecture of tumours after treatment. Background: Tumour apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) from diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a putative pharmacodynamic/response biomarker but the relationship between drug-induced effects on the ADC and on the underlying pathology has not been adequately defined. Hypothesis: Changes in ADC during early chemotherapy reflect underlying histological markers of tumour response as measured by tumour regression grade (TRG). Methods: Twenty-six patients were enrolled in the study. Baseline, 14 days, and pre-surgery MRI were performed per study protocol. Surgical resection was performed in 23 of the enrolled patients; imaging-pathological correlation was obtained from 39 lesions from 21 patients. Results: There was no evidence of correlation between TRG and ADC changes at day 14 (study primary endpoint), and no significant correlation with other ADC metrics. In scans acquired one week prior to surgery, there was no significant correlation between ADC metrics and percentage of viable tumour, percentage necrosis, percentage fibrosis, or Ki67 index. Conclusions: Our hypothesis was not supported by the data. The lack of meaningful correlation between change in ADC and TRG is a robust finding which is not explained by variability or small sample size. Aim. This paper aimed to examine the current state of nurse safety behavior, and the effect of work engagement on it, and to explore the mediating effect of self-efficacy between work engagement and nurse safety behavior in specialized cancer hospitals. Background. Nurse safety behavior affects the quality of care and outcomes for patients with cancer. The research proves that self-efficacy is associated with work engagement, but the relationship between self-efficacy, work engagement, and nurse safety behavior needs to be clarified. Methods. This study used a convenience sampling method to survey 957 nurses from January to February 2023. The survey included tertiary specialized cancer hospitals in five provinces in China. Sociodemography information, the Work Engagement Scale, the Self-Efficacy Scale, and the Nurse Safety Behavior Scale were used for the survey. A Questionnaire Star program collected all the data automatically. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences version 24 was employed for Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis to examine the association between work engagement, self-efficacy, and nurse safety behavior. Structural equation models were built using Analysis of Moment Structures version 24.0 software. Results. The results showed that the nurse safety behavior was at a high level in specialized cancer hospitals. There was a significant positive relationship between the variables work engagement, self-efficacy, and nurse safety behavior with coefficients ranging from 0.244 to 0.564. The results of structural equation modeling revealed that self-efficacy partially mediated the effect between work engagement and nurse safety behavior, accounting for 25.3% of the total effect. Conclusion. Self-efficacy mediates the relationship between work engagement and nurse safety behavior, and by increasing self-efficacy, nurse safety behavior can be improved, thus ensuring patient safety. Aim. This systematic review aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of telerehabilitation on family caregivers of stroke survivors. Background. After discharge from the hospital, family caregivers of stroke survivors faced physical and psychological stress. Telerehabilitation seems crucial for family caregivers. However, the impact of telerehabilitation on family caregivers' health outcomes remains to be studied. Evaluation. Six databases (PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CINAHL, and PsycINFO) were searched up to June 16th, 2022, without language restrictions. The Revised Cochrane Risk-of-bias Tool for Randomized Trials was used to assess the quality of included studies. The GRADEpro (Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation Profile) tools were applied to assess the synthesized evidence quality. The subgroup analysis was performed according to the intervention formats. Statistical analysis was conducted using Review Manager 5.3, and the publication bias was calculated by Stata 14.0. Key Issue(s). A total of 16 studies containing 992 caregivers were pooled in this systematic review. Telerehabilitation significantly improved the caregiver burden (SMD = −0.18, 95% CI = −0.35∼−0.02, P = 0.03 , moderate-quality evidence), knowledge (SMD = 0.75, 95% CI = 0.03∼1.47, P = 0.04 , very low-quality evidence), and competence (SMD = 1.35, 95% CI = 0.82∼1.88, P < 0.001 , very low-quality evidence) but not depression (SMD = −0.04, 95% CI = −0.3∼0.21, P = 0.74 , moderate-quality evidence), anxiety (MD = 0.68, 95% CI = −0.68∼2.04, P = 0.32 , low-quality evidence), and self-efficacy (SMD = −0.30, 95% CI = −1.22∼0.61, P = 0.52 , very low-quality evidence) in family caregivers of stroke survivors. The subgroup analysis demonstrated that multi-form telerehabilitation (SMD = 1.86, 95% CI = 1.32∼2.40, P < 0.001) was significantly effective in improving caregiving competence. Conclusion. Telerehabilitation can effectively reduce the caregiver burden as well as improve the knowledge and competence of stroke caregivers. Implications for Nursing Management. To develop and test the psychometric properties of a responsive feeding questionnaire (RFQ) on the basis of Self-Determination Theory for caregivers of toddlers aged 12–24 months in China. Item generation, preliminary evaluation items, refinement questionnaire, and psychometric properties testing. Toddlers' caregivers from Shandong Province, China, were surveyed online between June 2021 and February 2022 (n = 616). Content, face, and construct validity and reliability of the RFQ. Content validity was performed on the basis of expert panel feedback and cognitive interviews among caregivers. Construct validity was evaluated using principal component analysis with varimax rotation. Test-retest reliability was conducted with a sample of 105 caregivers. Over 3 phases of testing, a new instrument was developed to measure responsive feeding in toddler caregivers. The instrument was reliable, with an internal consistency of 0.87 and an intraclass correlation of 0.92. The principal component analysis identified a 3-factor solution (autonomy support, positive involvement, appropriate response) aligning with a theoretical framework from Self-Determination Theory. The final version of the instrument included 23 items. The 23-item RFQ has been validated in a Chinese population. Background: The Symptoms of Infection with Coronavirus-19 (SIC) is a 30-item patient-reported outcome (PRO) measure scored by body system composites to assess signs/symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). In addition to cross-sectional and longitudinal psychometric evaluations, qualitative exit interviews were conducted to support the content validity of the SIC. Methods: In a cross-sectional study, adults diagnosed with COVID-19 in the United States completed the web-based SIC and additional PRO measures. A subset was invited to participate in phone-based exit interviews. Longitudinal psychometric properties were assessed in ENSEMBLE2, a multinational, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase 3 trial of the Ad26.COV2.S COVID-19 vaccine. Psychometric properties evaluated included structure, scoring, reliability, construct validity, discriminating ability, responsiveness, and meaningful change thresholds of SIC items and composite scores. Results: In the cross-sectional study, 152 participants completed the SIC (mean age, 51.0 ± 18.6 years) and 20 completed follow-up interviews. Fatigue (77.6%), feeling unwell (65.8%), and cough (60.5%) were symptoms most frequently reported. SIC inter-item correlations were all positive and mostly moderate (r ≥ 0.3) and statistically significant. SIC items and Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System-29 (PROMIS-29) scores correlated as hypothesized (all r ≥ 0.32). Internal consistency reliabilities of all SIC composite scores were satisfactory (Cronbach's alpha, 0.69–0.91). SIC composite scores correlated moderately (r = 0.30–0.49) to strongly (r ≥ 0.50) with PROMIS-29 scores and Patient Global Impression of Severity (PGIS) ratings (all P < 0.01). A variety of signs/symptoms were cited in exit interviews, and participants considered the SIC straightforward, comprehensive, and easy to use. From ENSEMBLE2, 183 participants with laboratory-confirmed moderate to severe/critical COVID-19 were included (51.5 ± 14.8 years). Strong test-retest reliabilities were observed for most SIC composite scores (intraclass correlations ≥ 0.60). Statistically significant differences across PGIS severity levels were found for all but 1 composite score, supporting known-groups validity. All SIC composite scores demonstrated responsiveness based on changes in PGIS. Conclusions: The psychometric evaluations provided strong evidence for the reliability and validity of the SIC for measuring COVID-19 symptoms, supporting its use in vaccine and treatment trials. In exit interviews, participants described a broad range of signs/symptoms consistent with previous research, further supporting the content validity and format of the SIC. This study evaluated the association between inflammatory diets as measured by the Dietary Inflammatory index (DII), inflammation biomarkers and the development of preeclampsia among the Chinese population. We followed the reporting guidelines of the Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology statement for observational studies. A total of 466 preeclampsia cases aged over 18 years were recruited between March 2016 and June 2019, and 466 healthy controls were 1:1 ratio matched by age (±3 years), week of gestation (±1 week) and gestational diabetes mellitus. The energy-adjusted DII (E-DII) was computed based on dietary intake assessed using a seventy-nine item semiquantitative FFQ. Inflammatory biomarkers were analysed by ELISA kits. The mean E-DII scores were −0·65 ± 1·58 for cases and −1·19 ± 1·47 for controls (P value < 0·001). E-DII scores positively correlated with interferon- γ (r s = 0·194, P value = 0·001) and IL-4 (r s = 0·135, P value = 0·021). After multivariable adjustment, E-DII scores were positively related to preeclampsia risk (P trend < 0·001). The highest tertile of E-DII was 2·18 times the lowest tertiles (95 % CI = 1·52, 3·13). The odds of preeclampsia increased by 30 % (95 % CI = 18 %, 43 %, P value < 0·001) for each E-DII score increase. The preeclampsia risk was positively associated with IL-2 (OR = 1·07, 95 % CI = 1·03, 1·11), IL-4 (OR = 1·26, 95 % CI = 1·03, 1·54) and transforming growth factor beta (TGF- β) (OR = 1·17, 95 % CI = 1·06, 1·29). Functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) combined with behavioral assessments was used in our study to investigate the dynamic process of motor cortical functional reorganization after infarction. Therefore, we could provide a theoretical basis and build a useful evaluation system for rehabilitation after stroke and various other cerebral injuries. Acute stroke patients with a single lesion in the middle cerebral artery supply area and age- and sex-matched healthy volunteers were recruited. A longitudinal observational study involving 20 patients with stroke was conducted using repeated fMRI. Task-based fMRI data were acquired 3 times over a period of 3 months. The behavioral assessment included dynamometer and finger-tapping tests to evaluate the strength and dexterity of each upper arm. Behavioral results: The behavioral assessments demonstrated large improvements in session 2 and session 3. fMRI results: The healthy group showed activation in the contralateral primary sensory-motor cortex (S1M1) when executing tasks with either the left or right hand. Compared with the healthy subjects, the patients demonstrated greater activation in the ipsilateral frontal and parietal cortices and supplementary motor areas (SMAs). Across all sessions, more motor activation was observed in the left infarction group. Our results show that motor cortical activation induced by moving the paretic hand changes over time. Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the effects of multicomponent exercise on the muscle strength, muscle endurance and balance of frail older adults living in the community and provide the latest evidence from published randomised controlled trials (RCTs). Background: The number of frail older adults is rapidly increasing. Previous studies have reported that multicomponent exercise is one of the best types of intervention for increasing muscle strength, muscle endurance and balance for frail older adults. However, due to the small sample size and lack of evidential support, a meta‐analysis of RCTs remains necessary. Methods: RCTs reporting the effects of multicomponent exercise on the muscle strength, muscle endurance and balance of frail older adults, published in English, were retrieved from five electronic databases: PubMed, CINAHL, Web of Science, Embase and Cochrane Library available from their inception up to January 2021. RevMan5.3 software was adopted for statistical analysis. This study followed the PRSIMA checklist. Results: A total of 10 articles and 667 patients were included in this study. Meta‐analysis showed that multicomponent exercise could improve the muscle strength [MD = 2.46, p =.007], muscle endurance [MD = 2.16, p =.03] and balance [MD =.39, p =.03] of frail older adults, and subgroup analysis showed the muscle endurance of frail older adults was significantly improved as the intervention lasted for >12 weeks. Conclusions: RCTs provided in this study show the latest evidence that multicomponent exercise can improve the muscle strength, endurance and balance of frail older adults and that long‐duration (>12weeks) multicomponent exercise is more effective for improving muscle endurance. Relevance to clinical practice: Multicomponent exercise contributes to improving the muscle strength, muscle endurance and balance of frail older adults, so it can be considered as a complement to the physical function management programme for frail older adults. Simple Summary: To date there is no specific analysis providing comprehensive available evidence that can guide clinical treatment options for patients with hormone receptor-positive and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2-negative (HR+/HER2−) breast cancer (BC) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). We conducted a retrospective study with 3070 consecutive HR+/HER2− BC patients after NAC and indicated that progesterone receptor (PR) negativity BC has a higher complete pathological response (pCR) and lower survival than PR positivity BC. PR may be used as an independent predictor for pCR and a prognosis of HR+/HER2− BC in the NAC setting. HER2-low tumors are not significantly associated with pCR or disease-free survival (DFS), but these patients have significantly lower overall survival (OS) than those with HER-0 tumors. Our research confirms the significance of PR and HER2 status associated with pCR and prognosis. Purpose: To evaluate the clinical characteristics, pathological response, and prognostic significance of hormone receptor-positive and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HR+/HER2−) breast cancer (BC) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NAC). Methods: A survival analysis was performed to detect the factors related to recurrence and death in 3070 consecutive patients with HR+/HER2− BC who received NAC from 2011 to 2022. All patients received current "standard of care" following neoadjuvant therapy based on guidelines, including surgery and adjuvant endocrine therapy. HER2-low was defined as immunohistochemistry (IHC) 1+ or IHC 2+ and fluorescence in-situ hybridization-negative. Results: The complete pathological response (pCR) (ypT0/is ypN0) rate was 14.5%. The clinical tumor size (cT), ER scores, PR status, and Ki67 levels were related to pCR. The 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS) rates were 82.6% and 90.4%, respectively. PR, Ki67 levels, and postmastectomy radiotherapy were independent factors for DFS and OS, and the extranodal extension (ENE) correlated with DFS. However, pCR and HER2 status were related to OS. The pCR rate in PR negativity BC was significantly higher than that in PR positivity BC (21.1% vs. 12.2%, p = 0.000), but PR negativity BC had a poorer prognosis than PR positivity BC. HER2-low BC showed high ER scores (over 50%), PR positivity, large ypT, ENE, and lymphovascular invasion but a lower pCR rate than HER2-zero BC. Patients with HER2-low BC had shorter OS than those with HER2-zero BC (p = 0.037). However, there was no difference in DFS. Conclusions: Depending on PR status and HER2 status, patients with ER positivity and HER2 negativity exhibit different pathologic complete response rates to neoadjuvant chemotherapy and long-term outcomes, especially patients with PR negativity or HER2-low status. Two new phenylpropanoids, 4-O-(1''-O-cis-caffeoyl)-β-glucopyran osyl-1-allyl-3-methoxy-benzene (1), 4'-O-(1''-O-cis-caffeoyl)-β-glucopyranosyl-hydroxymegastigm-4-en-3-one (2), together with nine known compounds were obtained from the leaves of Solanum capsicoides. Their structures were elucidated based on spectroscopic methods, and comparing spectral data with those in literature. Meanwhile, their anti-inflammatory activities were evaluated on (LPS)-induced RAW 246.7 cells, and 1, 9, and 10 showed better inhibitory effects with IC50 values of 17.19 ± 1.12, 18.15 ± 0.47, and 19.8 ± 0.95 μM, respectively. Purpose: The purpose of this systematic review aimed to investigate the clinical outcome of medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) reconstruction, MPFL repair and medial reefing for patients with first-time patellar dislocation. Methods: Databases of PubMed, EMBASE, Cochrane Library and Web of Science were searched up to May 8, 2022. Only articles treating first-time patellar dislocation with MPFL reconstruction, MPFL repair and medial reefing were included in the analysis. Eligible identification, data extraction, quality assessment and statistical analysis were performed by two independent reviewers. The primary outcome measures were the incidences of postoperatively redislocation and reoperation. The second outcomes were the Kujala functional score and complications (including infection, osteoarthritis, and loss of range of motion). Results: Twenty-two studies involving 668 patients met the inclusion criteria. Of which, four studies involving 126 patients were in MPFL reconstruction group, ten studies involving 220 patients in MPFL repair group and 9 studies involving 322 patients in medial reefing group. Our results showed that the MPFL reconstruction (1.8%, 95% CI − 0.5 to 4.0%) had a significantly lower rate of postoperative redislocation and reoperation rate than the MPFL repair (15.4%, 95% CI 5.2–25.7%) and medial reefing (18.0%, 95% CI 9.3–26.7%). Besides, no significant differences were found in the Kujala score and complication rate among the three treatments. Conclusion: The available evidence demonstrated that MPFL reconstruction could achieve significantly lower redislocation rate and reoperation rate than MPFL repair and medial reefing after first-time patella dislocation. Furthermore, there was not enough evidence to reveal that MPFL reconstruction provided better functional outcome compared with MPFL repair and medial reefing. The present study investigated the association between the presence of periodontitis and aortic calcification (AC) risk among Chinese adults. A total of 6059 individuals who underwent regular health check-ups and received a diagnosis of periodontitis between 2009 and 2016 were included. The outcome was AC, assessed by a chest low-dose spiral CT scan. Cox proportional hazards regression analysis was used to assess the association between periodontitis and AC risk after adjusting for several confounders. After a median follow-up period of 2.3 years (interquartile range: 1.03–4.97 years), 843 cases of AC were identified, with 532 (12.13%) and 311 (18.59%) patients in the non-periodontitis group and periodontitis group, respectively. Multivariate analyses demonstrated that, compared with those without periodontitis, the hazard ratio and 95% confidence interval for AC risk in participants with periodontitis was 1.18 (1.02–1.36) (P =.025) in the fully adjusted model. Stratified analyses showed that the positive relationship between periodontitis and AC was more evident in males and participants <65 years of age (pinteraction =.005 and.004, respectively). Aim: This meta‐analysis aimed to systematically evaluate the effectiveness of auricular acupressure on pain management during labor. Methods: Six English and three Chinese electronic databases were comprehensively searched from inception to 6 November 2021. The PRISMA checklist was followed. The methodological quality of the included studies was assessed with the Cochrane Collaboration Bias Risk Assessment Tool. The meta‐analysis was performed using Review Manager 5.3 software. Heterogeneity between studies was calculated using I2. Results: Five studies comprising 312 participants were included. The labor pain scores of the auricular acupressure group were significantly lower than those of the usual care group at cervix dilations of 6, 8, and 10 cm, with mean differences (95% confidence intervals) of −1.05 (−1.41, −0.69), −1.44 (−2.07, −0.82), and −1.96 (−3.30, −0.61), respectively. Auricular acupressure can thus effectively improve the labor pain perception at cervix dilations of 6, 8, and 10 cm. Moreover, auricular acupressure shortened the active phase, and had the trend of shortening the second and third stages of labor. There was no evidence that auricular acupressure had an effect on the rate of cesarean section or the 1 and 5 min Apgar scores. Conclusion: Effective labor pain relief, better labor pain perception, and the lack of adverse effects support the use of auricular acupressure. How well a surgery is performed impacts a patient's outcomes; however, objective quantification of performance remains an unsolved challenge. Deconstructing a procedure into discrete instrument-tissue "gestures" is a emerging way to understand surgery. To establish this paradigm in a procedure where performance is the most important factor for patient outcomes, we identify 34,323 individual gestures performed in 80 nerve-sparing robot-assisted radical prostatectomies from two international medical centers. Gestures are classified into nine distinct dissection gestures (e.g., hot cut) and four supporting gestures (e.g., retraction). Our primary outcome is to identify factors impacting a patient's 1-year erectile function (EF) recovery after radical prostatectomy. We find that less use of hot cut and more use of peel/push are statistically associated with better chance of 1-year EF recovery. Our results also show interactions between surgeon experience and gesture types—similar gesture selection resulted in different EF recovery rates dependent on surgeon experience. To further validate this framework, two teams independently constructe distinct machine learning models using gesture sequences vs. traditional clinical features to predict 1-year EF. In both models, gesture sequences are able to better predict 1-year EF (Team 1: AUC 0.77, 95% CI 0.73–0.81; Team 2: AUC 0.68, 95% CI 0.66–0.70) than traditional clinical features (Team 1: AUC 0.69, 95% CI 0.65–0.73; Team 2: AUC 0.65, 95% CI 0.62–0.68). Our results suggest that gestures provide a granular method to objectively indicate surgical performance and outcomes. Objectives Our study examined the effect of urbanization on cognitive function and its possible pathways among Chinese middle-aged and older adults independent of the influence of health-selective migration. Methods Using data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study, we compared cognitive function among three groups (urbanized-rural residents, rural nonmigrants, and urban nonmigrants). Logistic regression and structural equation models were applied to explore the impact of urbanization on cognitive function and the potential mechanisms. Results Compared with the urbanized-rural group, urban nonmigrants had better cognitive function, with a significant coefficient of 1.56 (95% CI: 1.22, 1.89) for global cognition scores and 0.37 (95% CI: 0.22, 0.53) for episodic memory scores. The rural nonmigrants had the worst cognitive function (β = −0.79, 95% CI: −1.04, −0.55) and lower scores of mental intactness (β = −0.65, 95% CI: −0.84, −0.57) and episodic memory (β = −0.14, 95% CI: −0.26, −0.03). The association between urbanization and cognitive function was mainly mediated by income and living conditions among middle-aged and older adults. Discussion Rural people who experienced planned urbanization in China had higher cognitive scores than rural non-migrants. Urbanization could thus have a beneficial and cumulative effect on cognitive function. Improvements in living conditions and changes in income are the main drivers behind the relationship. However, urbanization could compensate for the negative impact on cognitive function from disadvantaged early-life conditions, but it cannot completely eliminate the gap between urbanized-rural people and urban nonmigrants. Background. In China, the traditional Chinese medicine compound Xuefu Zhuoyue prescription (XFZY) has been widely used in the therapy of coronary heart disease (CHD). Currently, several systematic reviews (SRs)/meta-analyses (MAs) of XFZY for the treatment of CHD have been published. This overview aims to evaluate the existing SRs/MAs and provide a scientific basis for evaluating the efficacy and safety of XFZY for the therapy of CHD. Methods. The SRs/MAs of XFZY for the treatment of CHD were obtained from 7 electronic databases with the search date set at March 7, 2022. Two researchers independently assessed the methodological quality, reporting quality, and evidence quality of the included SRs/MAs using the following tools: the Assessment of Multiple Systematic Reviews 2 (AMSTAR-2), the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses 2020 (PRISMA 2020), and the Grading of Recommendations Assessment, Development, and Evaluation (GRADE) system. Results. A total of 11 SRs/MAs were included in this overview. All SRs/MAs assessed by means of AMSTAR-2 had more than one critical defect, so all SRs/MAs were rated low. Regarding the assessment of reporting quality, the results of PRISMA 2020 showed that none of the SRs/MAs were fully reported. In addition, the results of the GRADE assessment of the quality of evidence indicated that only one outcome was rated as high quality across all SRs/MAs. Conclusion. Current evidence suggests that XFZY is effective and safe for the management of patients with CHD. Cervical cancer is one of the most common malignancies in women with high morbidity and mortality. Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is the primary cause of cervical cancer, of which HPV 16 is the predominant. Early detection and effective treatment of cervical precancerous lesions are the key to preventing cervical cancer. Vitamin D receptor (VDR) gene polymorphism is considered to be an important cause of cancer development. Here, we studied the association of VDR polymorphisms (FOKI, BsmI, ApaI, and TaqI) in HPV16-positive cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN)2+ patients. HPV16-positive patients who visited the Colposcopy Clinic of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the Second Hospital of Shanxi Medical University for biopsy due to abnormal HPV and/or Thinprep cytologic test (TCT) from September 1, 2020 to October 1, 2021 were grouped by pathological results. The fasting blood samples were collected and VDR polymorphisms were detected using TaqMan fluorescent probes, and the three sites of BsmI-ApaI-TaqI were subjected to haplotype analysis. FOKI ff genotype (OR = 2.01 ; 95% CI = 1.12 − 3.59 ; p = 0.019) and f allele (OR = 1.48 ; 95% CI = 1.10 − 1.98 ; p = 0.009) were found to be associated with the risk of CIN2+. TaqI Tt genotype (OR = 2.03 ; 95% CI = 1.20 − 3.43 ; p = 0.008), tt genotype (OR = 2.09 ; 95% CI = 1.09 − 4.02 ; p = 0.028), and t allele (OR = 1.35 ; 95% CI = 1.01 − 1.80 ; p = 0.041) were associated with the risk of CIN2+. Introduction: Primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) is an autoimmune hemorrhagic disorder characterized by a low platelet count and increased risk of bleeding. We previously reported that low‐dose chidamide, a histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor, restores immune tolerance in patients with ITP. This study aimed to evaluate the association of a single‐nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) rs2530223 in the HDAC3 gene with susceptibility to ITP and its clinical features. Methods: Patients with ITP and age‐matched healthy participants were recruited for this case–control study. Genotyping of the HDAC3 rs2530223 polymorphism was performed using MassARRAY platform. Results: Individuals with T allele of HDAC3 rs2530223 exhibited a 1.472‐fold increased risk of ITP susceptibility (OR 1.472; 95% CI 1.100–1.969; p =.009), while ones with the TT genotype under the codominant and recessive models, and the TC/TT genotypes under the dominant model all revealed increased risk of ITP susceptibility (dominant odds ratio[OR] 1.965; 95% CI: 1.046–3.656; p =.036; codominant OR 2.264; 95% CI 1.175–4.360; p =.015; and recessive OR 1.512; 95% CI 1.028–2.224; p =.036, respectively). Regarding platelet counts in ITP patients, we observed that the TC/TT genotypes exhibited a 3.932‐fold increased risk for platelet (PLT) <30 × 109/L (OR 3.932; 95% CI 1.426–10.842; p =.008). Conclusion: This study indicates that HDAC3 rs2530223 may be an important genetic factor related to ITP susceptibility and platelet count in ITP patients, providing new perspectives on disease progression, new therapeutic targets, and severity prediction. Aim: Periodontitis (PD) is the sixth most prevalent disease around the world and is involved in the development and progression of multiple systemic diseases. Previous studies have reported that PD may aggravate liver injuries. The objective of this study was to investigate whether and how PD affects liver fibrosis. Materials and Methods: Ligature‐induced PD (LIP) was induced in male C57/B6J mice, and sub‐gingival plaques (PL) from patients with PD were applied to mouse teeth. Liver fibrosis was induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) injection. The mice were randomly divided into six groups: Oil, Oil+LIP, Oil+LIP+PL, CCl4, CCl4+LIP, and CCl4+LIP+PL. Alveolar bone resorption was evaluated by methylene blue staining. Hepatic function was analysed by serum alanine aminotransferase and hepatic hydroxyproline. Picrosirius red and α‐smooth muscle actin (SMA) staining were used to evaluate the fibrotic area. RNA sequencing and quantitative RT‐PCR were used to measure gene expression. Western blotting was used to measure protein levels. Flow cytometry was used to analyse the accumulation of immune cells. Mouse microbiota were analysed using 16S rRNA gene sequencing. Results: Mice in the CCl4+LIP+PL group displayed higher serum alanine aminotransferase and hepatic hydroxyproline as well as more Picrosirius red‐positive and α‐SMA‐positive areas in liver samples than those of the CCl4 group, suggesting that PD (LIP+PL) aggravated CCl4‐induced hepatic dysfunction and liver fibrosis. Consistently, the expression of fibro‐genic genes and the protein levels of transforming growth factor β were much higher in the CCl4+LIP+PL group than in the CCl4 group. Flow cytometry revealed that PD increased the accumulation of immune cells, including Kupffer cells, B cells, and Th17 cells, in the liver of mice with CCl4 treatment. PD also increased the expression of inflammatory genes and activated pro‐inflammatory nuclear factor‐kappa B pathway in the livers of CCl4‐injected mice. Moreover, PD altered both oral and liver microbiota in CCl4‐injected mice. Aim: This study aimed to investigate eHealth literacy about coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID‐19) among older adults during the pandemic. Background: The COVID‐19 pandemic promoted the development of online health care. Higher demand for accessing information from the Internet was seen. Methods: This was a sequential explanatory mixed‐method study, involving a survey of older adults to explore the status and influencing factors of eHealth literacy regarding COVID‐19. Semi‐structured interviews were used to understand experiences and challenges regarding information retrieval, judgment and utilization. Results: A total of 337 older adults participated in the online questionnaire survey. Overall, older adults had slightly higher scores on eHealth literacy during the COVID‐19 pandemic. Participants' location in the past month and current health issues were associated with eHealth literacy. Qualitative data were collected from nine older adults and included that some older adults retrieved health‐related information during the pandemic. However, those who used non‐smartphones described difficulties in information retrieval. A glut of misinformation has resulted in an 'infodemic', which has not only increased the difficulty of judging information but also posed challenges in information utilization for older adults. Conclusion: Improving older adults' eHealth literacy is essential in promoting an improved response to major public health events and in providing better health care for this group in the future. It is essential that government health agencies and health care providers provide evidence‐based health information via social media platforms. Further efforts are needed to combine aspects of traditional and online health care services and provide reliable and updated online information and resources for older adults. The objective of the current study was to look at the levels of blood micro ribonucleic acid- (miR-) 497, carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), carbohydrate antigen (CA) 24-2, and hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in patients with colorectal cancer (CRC), as well as the clinical importance of these markers in CRC patients. The serum levels of miR-497, CEA, CA24-2, and HBsAg were compared between 60 patients with CRC (observation group) and another 60 patients with colorectal polyps (control group). The 4 indicators in patients with lymph node metastasis and liver metastasis were compared. The diagnostic effects of 4 detection methods and the combined detection were analyzed, and the influence of 4 indicators on the 5-year cumulative survival rate of patients was discussed. The results showed that the serum levels of miR-497 and HBsAg were lower, and the levels of CEA and CA24-2 were higher in the observation group (P < 0.05). The combined detection had the best diagnostic effect, and CEA alone had the best prediction effect. The serum level of miR-497 was significantly lower in patients with lymphatic metastasis, with the significantly higher levels of CEA and CA24-2 (P < 0.05). The HBsAg level of patients with liver metastases was greatly lower than that of patients without liver metastases (P < 0.05). The 5-year cumulative survival rate of patients with high levels of CEA and CA24-2 was significantly lower than that of patients with low level of CEA. The 5-year cumulative survival rate was lower in patients with low level of HBsAg, but the difference was small. The 5-year cumulative survival rate of patients with elevated serum miR-497 was observably lower. In conclusion, combined detection could diagnose CRC more accurately. Serum miR-497, CEA, and CA24-2 were important in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis of CRC. HBsAg did a better job of predicting liver metastases in CRC patients. High level of CEA significantly reduced the cumulative survival rate of CRC patients and could predict the long-term survival rate of patients. Serum levels of miR-497, CEA, CA24-2, and HBsAg played a positive role in the diagnosis and evaluation of CRC and could identify lymph node and liver metastases, having a high clinical guidance value. Objective. The aim of this study is to evaluate the safety and tumor marker level changes of acupuncture plus chemotherapy (FOLFOX4) for advanced gastric cancer. Methods. One hundred and twenty patients with advanced gastric cancer who were treated at our hospital between May 2019 and April 2021 were recruited for prospective analysis, and all patients were allocated to the control and experimental groups in a 1 : 1 ratio using the random number table method, with 60 patients in each group. They received either chemotherapy using the FOLFOX4 regimen (control group) or the FOLFOX4 chemotherapy plus acupuncture (experimental group). Outcome measures included tumor marker levels, quality of life, and adverse events. Results. Before treatment, the two groups showed similar tumor markers levels and the MOS 36-item short-form health survey (SF-36) scores (P > 0.05). FOLFOX4 chemotherapy plus acupuncture was associated with significantly lower levels of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), carbohydrate antigen (CA) 19-9, and CA72-4 versus FOLFOX4 chemotherapy alone (P < 0.05). The patients who were given FOLFOX4 chemotherapy plus acupuncture showed significantly increased SF-36 scores versus monotherapy of the FOLFOX4 regimen (P < 0.05). The joint therapy resulted in a significantly lower incidence of adverse events versus the monotherapy (P < 0.05). Conclusion. Acupuncture plus chemotherapy using the FOLFOX4 regimen can effectively regulate the serum tumor marker levels of patients with advanced gastric cancer, with a high safety profile, which provides a viable treatment alternative. Purpose. The aim of the study is to understand the current status of physical activity in patients with lung cancer surgery, explore its influencing factors, and analyze the correlation between physical activity and exercise self-efficacy and perception of social support. Methods. The General Information Questionnaire was designed for 145 patients, Chinese version of EPIC-PAQ physical activity scale for lung cancer patients. The Exercise Self-Efficacy Scale (SEE) is used to evaluate the ability of people to organize and execute motor behaviors in various difficult situations. The Perceived Social Support Scale (PSSS) was used to emphasize individual self-understanding and self-feeling. Results. The median and quartile of total physical activity scores in lung cancer surgery patients were 73.0 (34.8, 129.7) points; univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences in physical activity levels among lung cancer surgery patients with different ages, work status before hospitalization, and perceived disease severity. The results of multivariate analysis showed that age, perceived disease severity, exercise self-efficacy, and total score of perceived social support affected the physical activity level of patients (P < 0.05). Efficacy were positively correlated with perceived social support (P < 0.01). Conclusion. The level of physical activity of patients undergoing lung cancer surgery needs to be further improved. Physical activity is affected by patient age, perceived disease severity, exercise self-efficacy, and perceived social support and is positively correlated with exercise self-efficacy and perceived social support. Medical staff should provide targeted activity guidance according to the age and other characteristics of patients undergoing lung cancer surgery, enhance patients' exercise self-efficacy and comprehend social support, and improve their physical activity level, thereby promoting patients' early recovery. Objective. To explore the degree of psychological distress in patients with lung cancer during the perioperative period and analyze its influencing factors. Method. A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 372 perioperative patients with lung cancer admitted to our hospital by a convenience sampling method using general data collection and psychological pain thermometer scores. Results. The psychological distress score of 372 patients with lung cancer in the perioperative period was 4.10 ± 2.88. The psychological distress of patients was related to physical problems, practical problems, medical expenses, and family communication problems. Logistic regression analysis showed that gender, economic burden caused by disease, child care, lack of interest in daily activities, and anxiety were the main factors affecting the degree of suffering of lung cancer patients. Conclusion. The proportion of perioperative lung cancer patients with a psychological distress score ≥4 points was 55.6%, and more than half of the perioperative patients with lung cancer had a moderate level of psychological distress. Medical staff should pay attention to the management of the psychological distress of patients with lung cancer during the perioperative period, help patients solve practical problems in the process of cancer treatment, strengthen society's attention to female lung cancer patients, and establish a comprehensive cancer public welfare organization group. Transgender women sex workers (TGSW), as a highly stigmatised population, are at substantial risk for mental health problems but lack access to mental health care. This study investigated factors of mental health service utilisation (MHSU) behaviour and related behavioural intention among TGSW who were at risk of mental health problems in the past year [subsample 1: scored above the cut‐off for probable depression or probable anxiety or had suicidal ideation (N = 126); subsample 2: perceived needs for mental health services (N = 109)]. A cross‐sectional survey was conducted among TGSW in Shenyang, China during 2017–2018. Data on minority stress, coping, mental health and MHSU were collected. 10.3% of participants in subsample 1 and 14.7% in subsample 2 had sought help from mental health professionals in the last year. Unwillingness to disclose minority identity and gender non‐affirmation were negatively associated with MHSU. Factors for behavioural intention of MHSU included unwillingness to disclose minority identity and social support for both subsamples and adaptive coping for subsample 2. Confidentiality concern, discrimination and cost were the most frequently endorsed barriers to mental health services. Interventions should promote gender affirmation, social support and adaptive coping as well as remove stigma to increase health service access and utilisation among minority populations.
