The article focuses on the "John Hopkins Science Review," an educational television program that manages to buck the toughest competition in the U.S. The television program is a sustaining show that earns no revenue for anybody. By television standards, the program, which took the air in 1948 spends little money in a full year and does without professional actors. In the fall of 1950, it joined the DuMont network and established a loyal audience.
