The article offers information about the tenkara fishing technique, derived from the tactics used by Japanese commercial fishermen. Tenkara involves a telescoping rod, a braided level line and an artificial lure that is simply a light trout hook dressed with thread and feathers. It is also mentioned that the technique is good for fishing in mountain streams or to catch crappies in warm water.
